The Human Bearer

Xana was long gone, yet he still lay on the floor, unmoving. The strangest thing, love, Riordan thought, as the sensations of intense pleasure felt at the hands of his former master faded, only to be replaced by the usual hurt, now familiar to him. No wonder these aliens found it such a difficult idea to grasp. He couldn't understand it, either.

"How long do you plan on lying there?"

The question, coming from above, startled him. It wasn't Kyle, coming back to check on his wellbeing. The unexpected visitor was a surprise. Cario looked at him, slightly amused, and offered him a hand to help him to his feet. Riordan did so with a groan. Not because his body hadn't already healed -- Xana never skimped on seth -- but because it was just a tad embarrassing to be caught like that. Right, he snorted, as if Xana hadn't paraded him on Xeno for all those fuckers to gawk at him, drenched in seth like a common whore. Lately, he was developing way too many sensibilities.

"Sorry about this," he said, gesturing at himself.

"Come," Cario said. "I know a place where you can shower without drawing unnecessary attention to yourself."

He followed Cario without commenting. If the guy had come searching for him, that meant that he had the sangar ready. And Riordan needed it like air, to know that he had a fighting chance against the general.

It looked like they didn't have to walk that much, either, and, when Cario made a door open in front of him and pointed at the facilities he could use, Riordan realized that his new friend knew a lot about the configuration of the ship to be aware of such places, especially when located down a long corridor meant for personnel only, like this one.

Another thing he noticed, Cario wasn't accompanied by his bot, which meant that he had more freedom than others.

As he let the spray of hot water wash away the last remnants of Xana's last lovemaking, he chased away the hurtful thoughts. He turned to look at Cario, who was holding his combat suit, folded prettily, in his arms, as if he were a soccer mom from Earth, waiting for her kids to get ready for practice.

"Is Drato lending you around?"

Cario quirked an eyebrow, making him aware of his lack of manners. Too late. He felt worn out and in.

"Do you want to know if I'm in line for getting pumped with eggs by random Xenos?"

"Yeah," Riordan confirmed. "You look like you have free time on your hands."

Cario laughed. "Observant," he quipped. "His Royal Chancellor knows very well the art of playing favorites."

"I see. So, you're not worried that you might have kids with other guys except your guy."

"Drato wouldn't allow it. But if His Royal Chancellor ordered it, I might see his love for me put to the test. It would be fun to... observe."

"Fun? Damn, you're a perv," Riordan said and grinned.

Cario pushed a strand of hair behind one ear in a coquettish gesture. "They're hot when they're possessive, as you well know."

"Right," Riordan said dryly. "How come you found me? And what is this place? Is it where those lizard guards come to wash?"

"Your bot is great at sneaking messages. As for this place, it was supposed to house quarters for human servants in the way the ship had been designed in its draft stages."

"Human servants? Not bearers?"

"This Xeno obsession with our kind appears to be quite extensive. There were talks of bringing in more humans to their planet in the beginning. Apparently, they find us very pleasant to look at."

"Look, right," Riordan said with a snort as he removed more of Xana's cum and seth from his hair. They were always messy like that. That wouldn't happen again, so it didn't matter.

"Anyway, realizing that increasing the number of humans would create upheaval in their society, they eventually gave up, but Tu'lek was already built and changing such small details wasn't deemed important."

"What kind of upheaval?"

"Humans as servants would have been inefficient compared to the bots they have. And that meant that the Xenos demanding for this, let's call it, feature, were only interested in one thing."

"Fucking the maid," Riordan said and chuckled. "Fucking Xenos, right."

"Yes, indeed. Also, their teenagers would have risked going sex-crazed with so many humans around. While they do like a good solid gangbang from time to time, the ones with their heads on their shoulders realized what that would mean for their productivity."

"I can imagine. I don't mean to sound like a prick, but do you have a towel or something?" Nothing like that seemed to be around.

"Step over there," Cario pointed to another enclosure.

As soon as he did so, warm air began hitting his skin through small holes in the walls. He was dry in no time, only his hair sticking out in all directions. Cario snickered while handing him back the combat suit.

"Let's go. I have several vials ready for you."

"Cario, just asking... what happens if a Xeno drinks this special concoction of yours?"

"I have no idea. As you know, my little side business is not exactly licit."

"Side business? Are you selling it?"

"No, not yet. You're the only one I gave it to so far. After all, it was because of some nut woman's prophecy that I held on to it until I found you. Now that I know how powerful it is, I'm considering my next step."

"What for? It's not like you need money, right?"

"Money, no. But favors? Information? There are other things that can be exchanged."

"You're one smart dude, Cario. Why didn't you go to school on Earth? Become a politician or something?"

"But I did just that," Cario said with a sly smile. "And, well, I might be only a politician's companion, out in the open, but there's no other place I'd rather be."

That was one guy Riordan knew that he didn't want to get on the bad side of, seeing the kind of power he could wield. He was lucky the guy liked him.

"By the way," Cario commented, "that Jasno is one piece of work."

Riordan had more pressing matters on his mind than gossip, but his ears perked up right away. "Xana's new bearer. What do you know about him?"

"He has four other Xenos vying for a place in that belly of his. He's pretty and ambitious. Unfortunately, not very smart. A dangerous combination."

"So, why did Marn give him to Xana?"

"Your dear Xana chose him. His Royal Chancellor, according to sources, expressed his displeasure at such an uninspired choice."

Riordan pushed down the pang of jealousy threatening to rip open his chest. "I suppose he just went for easy," he said.

"Or," Cario said with a lightness to his tone that didn't match the dire times they lived in, "he just thought how it would grind your gears when you saw them together."

"Why would it..." Riordan tsked. "That guy is so conventionally good looking that I'm not sure I can tell him apart from many others like him."

"Oh, that's a thing he knows, as well. That is why he needs other means to make sure that the world doesn't forget his face the next second. Ambitious, I'm telling you."

"Well, I don't have to worry about him. I'm going on a suicidal mission, remember?"

"And still, that doesn't make him happy," Cario said and appeared thoughtful for a bit. "I'll keep an eye on him."

"If you're only doing this for my sake, please don't. My days on Tu'lek are numbered, anyway."

"I would give you a proper pep talk, but unfortunately, I'm pressed for time. However, I will point out that I'm not going to keep Jasno under observation only because you're my friend. I'm also doing it because people like that tend to be dangerous. They end up with too much power on their hands, and happy as they become to begin wielding it, they only turn into tyrants. I don't need this kind of opportunist around."

"You make him sound dangerous, indeed. But why get involved so much? You have your young one and a Xeno who loves you. Take it to Marn, have him keep an eye on the little prick."

"They don't have the same view on things as we do. A human bearer gaining power is unfathomable to them. Keep in mind that they don't understand love. That just as well can mess with their conditioning. Have you never heard of a guy in a position of power and authority to go nuts over the whims of a mistress? History is full of examples."

"I didn't stay much in school," Riordan admitted. "But I get your point. He does strike me like kind of a prick. He was practically gloating while trailing behind Xana only earlier. And he did give me the stink eye."

"If he tries to rise hell with you, don't engage, Riordan," Cario advised. "Let him think he won."

Riordan shrugged. "I don't have to pretend. Xana made his choice."

"Yes, obviously. Because of his resolute decision, I just found you drenched in his bodily fluids."

"Hey, no need for sarcasm," Riordan said but felt his lips quirking in a faint smile. "It was farewell sex if that's a thing."

Cario squeezed his arm. "You will come back, Riordan. I know you will."

"Thanks for the vote of confidence, man. You're the real deal." Riordan hesitated for a moment, but then he thought of asking, anyway. "A guy like you, with your connections, what do you think happened to Tasha?"

"Tasha, redhead, delicious and scandalous," Cario said with a small laugh. "His Royal Chancellor's son must have taken him to Tanez and now they're having cocktails and getting bored while waiting for us to make an appearance."

"But no one actually knows where Tanez is," Riordan said.

"That's what I've heard, as well. But there could be different ways to reach this elusive destination. No one can tell whether Marn Savier's son hasn't figured out a different solution."

"Is this your crafty way of telling me that you don't know something?" Riordan teased his friend.

Cario laughed. "Yes, you could say that. That young Xeno surprised us all. I mean, we've all heard the rumors about the peculiarity of that household. While many thought His Royal Chancellor might experience a decline in judgement by allowing an attractive bearer to spend time in such proximity to a hormone-laden teenager, I always believed that our beloved leader never leaves anything to chance. Case in point, he prepared Tasha to get Xer's egg. All the while without breaking the law. It take a very able mind to pull a stunt like that."

"Yeah," Riordan whispered and sighed. "But he's just as much a scumbag as the rest. Tasha was in love with him. He didn't care about it."

Cario nodded and offered a sympathetic smile. "His Royal Chancellor is great at picking up cues and learning about human emotions. But I can bet that he was taken aback by what actually happened under his roof, after all."

"What do you mean?"

"Xer became more rebellious than usual. His Royal Chancellor has always encouraged that mean, warrior-like streak in his son. Of course, he must have not realized that, given another incentive, Xer might turn on him."

"Did Xer do that?"

"Taking Tasha and whisking him away before hell broke loose on Xeno? That should give you the answer to your question. But there were tensions between them before. The younger they are, the more open to our human emotions they prove to be. And Xer, I'm afraid, fell in love with Tasha quite quickly. His Royal Chancellor only wanted to offer him a bearer for his egg, not a lover for whom Xer would go against his sire."

"Damn." Riordan shook his head. "I hope he's okay. He was my only friend for a long time. I know you're into that mumbo-jumbo with fortune telling and all. Do you see him in your dreams?"

"I'm afraid not. But that doesn't mean anything. I've only started dreaming of you recently. I apologize for not being the all go-to for reading the future."

"You are more than enough, trust me. So, hit me up with that sweet, sweet sangar. I need all the help I can get."

"And you will get it from me." Cario touched his shoulder. "You have more than just Tasha as your friend, Riordan. We're all rooting for you."

What did Cario mean by that? He wanted to ask, but as they had been engaged in their quiet conversation, they had already reached Cario's quarters. Somehow, the bearer had managed to leave his bot behind, but Riordan didn't want that thing to catch whiff of what he was talking to his master. Cario slipped him the sangar while hugging him, which meant that he was taking precautions, too.

Against who? Drato was crazy after Cario. But the beautiful bearer had been adamant about not pushing the trust his Xeno master had in him. Riordan just fell in line with the same secretive manner of dealing with each other.

He was about to drift off to sleep when the doors to their shared quarters opened and the high commander came through. Riordan noticed the sleepy heads of all Xenos rearing from their places and had to admit that he was equally curious about Kanto's visit.

"You have a difficult mission ahead of you," Kanto said. His attention was trained on Lakni.

Riordan focused and could hear the exchange of thoughts between the two. It very much seemed a way of testing Lakni's knowledge of navigation. It was an exam in real time, and it seemed that Lakni was giving the expected replies.

"Good. You were all tested by your teachers and deemed fit," Kanto concluded, while his eyes moved from one young Xeno to the other.

Finally, his eyes rested on Riordan. It was hard not to waver under that intense gaze, but he squared his shoulders and returned it.

Once more, you surprise me, human.

You're not bad yourself, Xeno.

You appear to have been right about the prisoner.

His name is Florent. He gave his life for me. Only by sheer luck, he's still alive. Does that count to you?

It does.

Come on, throw some questions at me. I know you want to.

A sharp tongue, even when you communicate this way. I won't question you. These youngsters are in charge of your wellbeing.

My goal isn't to be a burden. I'll pull my own weight.

I don't doubt it for a moment. Take care, Riordan.

Kanto, wait. What about Florent? What's going to happen to him?

We will do our best to bring him back to full health. And we will try it your way.

My way?

We will use the carrot, less the stick, as you say on Earth.

You fucked him with your tail. Do you like him?

He's an asset.

Not what I'm asking.

I appreciate his overall human shape.

Damn, you Xenos really nail this romantic crap like no other species.

Kanto moved back, biting his lower lip to keep himself from smiling.

"You have your orders," he said brusquely. "Tomorrow, your mission will start. His Royal Chancellor will give you the last instructions before that."

Three pairs of Xeno eyes landed on him, as soon as the high commander was out of the room.

"What?" Riordan asked.

"Is it true that you got fucked by both Xana and the high commander at the same time?" Frontis asked shamelessly.

"Xenos and gossip, geez. I can't believe you guys," Riordan said as a small frisson moved through him at the mention of his previous tryst with his former master and Kanto Vai. "Next thing I know, you're going to ask me what the high commander's dick tastes like."

"It's true that each one tastes differently," Blaise intervened. "I haven't tasted enough to make sure it's a definite rule, but that's my take."

"You've only sucked human dick," Lakni snickered and punched Blaise in the shoulder.

"Just curious," Riordan said, "you've all learned to talk like this from Lewis? I thought he was busy being preggo."

"Not only from him. We used to watch all sorts of human shows. They were very entertaining," Lakni explained. "And our informal speech helped us in getting close to our beloved. So our education wasn't in vain."

Riordan wanted to face-palm himself. If by education, these Xenos meant watching stupid reality TV, they were far off from understanding the human race. Or maybe they chose the right approach, seeing how their serious grownups had so much difficulty wrapping their heads around the concept of love, while Lakni and his crew had adopted the idea with much enthusiasm.

"You guys are nuts."

"What nuts? These nuts?" Frontis made a lewd gesture like a human male grabbing his crotch.

They all laughed. Riordan included. It wasn't as if they were only a day away from embarking on the mission of their lives, and most likely, their last. He laughed nonetheless. Cario had given him hope. The high commander, as stiff as he was, seemed to believe in them, as well. Marn, as the big kahuna, was even encouraging their crazy endeavor.

And then, there was Xana. Riordan continued to smile as the others joked, but his heart squeezed in his chest. Xana thought they were through. But if Riordan came back, with little Xeus in his arms -- that impossible dream -- what would Xana do? Would he kick out that doll-like face and take him back? Or he'd just take Xeus and turn his back on Riordan, as someone he no longer wanted?

Check out one of my latest releases - Spending His Wedding Night with Daddy-in-Law

https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/1506822

Alex abandons his bride's bed to end up on the sofa in the man cave belonging to his father-in-law. His wedding night turns even stranger since his is the only cherry popped and not the `blushing bride's'.

Alex marries Diane under duress since his family, all gilded aristocrats on the outside, but a literal ruin on the inside needs saving. To say that he doesn't love Diane is an understatement since he knows how much she cheats on him, so much to the point that he's rendered impotent in her presence.

On their wedding night, he flees the bedroom as he has no intention of having sex with his lying, cheating wife. Looking for a place to sleep, he ends up on the sofa in the basement, without realizing that the place must be his father-in-law's man cave.

He wakes up with Griffin, his father-in-law, staring at him like he's a bug in need of squashing. The older man is pissed that Alex is not in Diane's bedroom, working hard at making him some grandkids. The easy way out would be to tell Griffin what a slut his daughter is.

But Alex doesn't think it's the easy way since Diane is the apple of her daddy's eye. So he ends up at the mercy of a very pissed daddy-in-law and with his cherry popped. As for his ED trouble, which he believed permanent, under his father-in-law's brutal yet skillful hand, that seems cured, too.

This dual POV short story contains dubious consent, age difference, daddy kink (verbal), first-time gay, first-time oral, first-time anal, reluctance, verbal humiliation, domination, face slapping, and other kinks.

Next: Chapter 40
