Thanks for visiting Nifty It's a great resource for folks like me that enjoy writing ; albeit poorly! I also enjoy reading stories here ! Please consider a donation to Nifty! It's expensive to run a site like this.

Authors comments to readers. I read every thing I receive about what I write. I'm not that great at sentence format or that other English stuff. I write, as it allows me to deal with me. Some Stories are mostly true some are not. I decided to let the reader wonder .

I've been asked to draw this adventure to a ending by many readers . I write for me and only for me it's healing for me to do this. Some stories just stop just like life some stories have endings.

The Nerd 9 Conclusion

Things has settled in life Tony was in College and we kept up as he visited the farm. We hadn't hooked up since Adam and I started living together.

We had put the old farm place back together and had hot water along with bedrooms and furniture.

Adams parents were generally cool with me but we presented "us" as roommates.

I heard his mother giving him "what for" about why he wasn't dating anymore .

His reply was he was playing the field and when he was ready she'd meet if it was serious. His dad was always just quiet. He showed us how to put the hot water heater in and run the plumbing.

He helped us with the wood stove and flue. He helped us with anything we needed. He brought his air compressor over to blow out the water lines in the Airstream. I mentioned the little camper in the shed and he and I rode to the barn and he blew out the lines just in case .

We lifted the compressor back into his truck and he said quietly Adams different when you two are together. He's right happy I can tell.

I was uncomfortable and unsure where this was going. So I resorted to blank face non confrontational.

His mothers been asking a lot of questions and suspects a lot. Try not to make her mad she's a tiger.

She wants a big wedding and grandkids.

Did you make Adam this way,he looked pained when he said it .

He looked at me long and hard and then said you are one tough cookie.

We stared at each other for a while and footsteps interrupted the standoff.

Adam walked up and said whoa am I interrupting something here.

His Dad said no we were just having a friendly talk. Adam slipped up next to me and smiled and well that's all it takes to make me smile.

His dad smiles and says see happy as a bug in a rug.

You boys go easy on your mother ya here! She's struggling with all we don't understand about what we don't know.

He slipped up into the truck and pulled out of the barn.

Adam said what was that all about ?

I shook my head and said I think he's given us some form of permission .

I then added I think your momma wants to kill me. He laughed and said ya think.

He wrapped me up and we kissed. He laughed a goofy silly guy laugh and let's head back up to the house before they come a looking.

As we walked up the lane to the house his dad and mom were having a talk in the yard.

Adam said head to the camper I know that look and it deserves distance.

They left and didn't speak to us before.

I had to tell Billy to stop coming over his drinking was bad. He and his girl got pregnant and she was living with him at home.

I was nowadays a full on wrench at the garage and the boss and I got along.

He told me that I had a place with him as long as my work was good and I didn't steal or cause no trouble.

It was thanksgiving when Tony pulled up late and knocked on the door. Adam let him in.

Adam showed him the hot water heater and the wood stove when I came in with an armload of wood.

I put the wood in the holder and Tony hugged me and as much as I didn't want to a small pang hit me.

How's school I ask and he says it's tough but he's doing good and that his parents are doing ok. With you living here that they refuse to come out here.

I said that I had the water off and the heats on like 55 to keep the place from freezing up just like you asked me to do. He thanked me for keeping the place up and I said Adam and I both work hard to keep the place up.

A neighbor asked about renting some of the fields for crops if you are interested.

I walked out to the sedan he was driving and he asked me if I was happy? I said I was and that I wasn't gonna mess anything up by being foolish.

He got into the car and before he closed the door he said I never though I was a problem. My grandparents set you up with a home and you barely acknowledge me.

Good to see you and I turned and walked away.

When I got inside Adam hugged me and asked what happened .

I said he wants sex !

Do you want him Adam asked with a sorta hurt look.

No I replied, I have all I could ever want right here right now. He hugged me. Me too he said . That was about as much emotion as we ever shared . Sunday Tony stopped by I'm guessing headed back to campus when Adam saw him he said stay here I wanna have a word with him .

Shortly the car started and Tony left . Adam came inside smiling and goofy and set an envelope on the coffee table.

Authorization to rent the land from Tony . He won't be back anytime soon.

I choose not to ask anything and that seemed just as well.

We existed as best friends who had regular sex for a good while.

One day he didn't come home then the second day he didn't come home and I got worried . This was pre cell phones.

The third night he drove up and said as he came in that he was gonna move.

He said he wanted some space . He he packed up some things and hugged me and left. It took a few days but all remnants of him were gone not that there was all that much anyway.

He was gone now and my life stayed on course as always . I worked all day and kept the farm up.

I rented the fields out and sent the checks to the lawyer.

I saw Adam at the gas station a bit later with a pretty girl he waved at me and I waved back.

Tony was at the farm house and I was just pulling up with the brush hog . He gave me a look and I turned it off and got off.

He looked around warily and I said he's gone been gone. Got himself a girl.

Tony said matter a factly that he was engaged. I gave him the obligatory smile. He said he was gonna rent the farmhouse out till he decided what to do. I asked do I have access to the tractors still? He said that the barns yours and the equipment same deal you keep things up cut the lanes ect . Watch out for the house. If you need or want any of the furniture help yourself otherwise I'm gonna move it to the upstairs loft. I will be back in two weeks to empty out the house and arrange a painter.

When he came back two weeks later I had moved everything I could by myself and moved a few things up to my place.

Together we moved the remaining things out to the barn and he said all the stuffed things need to go to goodwill. The mice will ruin it in the barn.

Let's go get dinner he said and we got into his sedan and rode off.

We ate pizza and had a pitcher of beer. He drove back and when he stopped at my place I invited him inside.

We fucked in my bed like beasts as much as I cared for Adam and we had great sex when Tony used that weapon on me I was totally consumed and him.

He didn't really I believed care for me he liked the sex.

I was sore and a mess when he got up and washed up smacked my ass and left.

I hated how I felt but probably would not say no the next time.

I saw Adams Dad a year or so later and he shook my hand smiled and asked how I was . I nodded smiled and said doing good work and keeping up the place.

Grand baby is on the way. I offered congratulations to them and asked to give Adam my best. I knew he wouldn't but such is life.

The house rented and steadily got more run down.

After five years I got a letter asking me to Vacate the property.

That was an event for sure but I was legally protected .

I purchased the house and several acres from Tony a few years later. He sold the farm I got the tractors and the little trailer. Now I have a fence along the property line built by the developer.

I had built a pole barn to keep the tractors and campers in. Everything to me was of value. I didn't throw things away.

It had been a long while then one Saturday it was fall when a pickup rode by several times before it pulled into the driveway.

The window went down and there sat Adam. I stood by my old pickup unsure of what to do. He opened up the door and walked over to me and the first thing he said to me was I hope you don't hate me.

I thought about it and said I could never ever hate you .

He smiled that goofy smile and I smiled back but my insides were in turmoil.

We stood and he said there isn't a day that I don't think about you.

I couldn't speak so I nodded.

He touched my arm and said to me I love you .

Tears started to run from my eyes my mouth opened and no sound would come out. He hugged me and sobbed and said I gotta go and he ran back to the truck and drove off.

I don't remember crying but that one time. And I cried several times that afternoon then it was done . I resolved myself to move ahead I washed my face looked in the only mirror in the house and set my stoic face in place .

I never saw him again.

Tony stopped in years later with his daughters one Sunday and we talked for a while it was awkward.

There were several different relationships I almost got married once .

Now I fix cars at the same garage but I own it now and have a young trainee like I used to be.
