Jose Spreads His Wings

Chapter XI

Waking in the pale morning light with Enrique's strong arm around him and his hard body against his back, Jose wondered, at first, if he had merely dreamed all the wonderful things he had experienced the night before. The warm glow of his rectum told him that it had, indeed, been real. Enrique had opened up so much to him and he was so deeply in love with him.

He carefully turned over to gaze at Enrique's handsome face in sleep. He leaned in to kiss the stubbly chin then smiled broadly. He was so happy they had found each other at the university. He was torn between letting his lover sleep and waking him with kisses so that they could experience each other again.

As he mentally debated the issue, he was startled by the alarm sounding. He jumped, waking Enrique. "Que? Ah, good morning Jose. Did you sleep well?"

Jose replied, "Si, very well. I love being held by you while I sleep."

Enrique smiled sleepily. "Are you alright? Any problems from...last night? Do you feel any pain?"

"No, none at all." Said Jose. "I feel warm down there and it reminds me how much I enjoyed you making love to me. I want you to do it again!"

Enrique opened one eye. "There is nothing that I would rather do, but we must get up and get ready to visit your family, no?"

"Oh, si! I had forgotten in all the excitement from last night!" Jose threw back the covers and bounded from the bed. "I cannot wait for mi Mama and Papa to meet you. Come, get up!"

Jose half-dragged the sleepy Enrique from the bed. He kissed him and hugged him all the way to the bathroom. They soaped each other up, sensuously, under the warm spraying water. After they dried each other, they went into the dressing room to pick out clothes for the trip to Boca Del Perro.

"Shall we dress casually?" Asked Enrique. "What plans do you have for us there?"

"Si. I will wear jeans. If we stay the night we will need to take something nice for Mass on Sunday, though." Jose answered. "There isn't much to do in my village, but I would like to show you around and let everybody meet my new lover!"

"Jose, maybe you should think about telling everybody we are lovers. You come from a small village and your family is very conservative. They may not understand or be happy for you right away." Enrique cautioned.

"I do not understand." Jose wrinkled his forehead. "Your family has practically concluded that we will marry. Last night Carla even..."

"My family has known for some time that I am gay, Jose. For them it will no surprise that I found somebody so special." Enrique took Jose's hands in his and kissed them. "Your family has no idea. Perhaps you should tell them about you before you make any announcements about me. Enrique suggested.

Jose remained unconvinced, but merely nodded. They finished dressing and packed a few things for the trip to meet Jose's family. When they appeared in the smaller dining room, they found Carla seated, alone, at the table. The buffet was laden with a vast assortment of foods from which to choose. They got their meal and each kissed Carla on the cheek as they took their seats. "Papa and Mama are taking breakfast in their room this morning." Carla explained "Mama has asked that you come up and see her before you leave for Boca Del Perro."

"How is she feeling this morning?" Asked Enrique. "I hope last night wasn't too much for her."

"She looked a little tired. But happy and beautiful as ever. She would not have missed meeting Jose for any reason. You know how she is." Carla said to Enrique.

"Si, she can be very stubborn" Enrique agreed.

"May I go up and see her as well?" Asked Jose.

"Oh, yes!" said Carla. "She is expecting you to be there with Enrique."

"Bueno. I wish to thank her for her kindness and hospitality."

They chatted pleasantly through breakfast and then made their way to visit La Dona. She was seated on a chaise near the window so she could enjoy the sunshine and the clean autumn air. Although she was thin, she radiated beauty and poise from every pore. Her hair had been brushed and styled simply. She was dressed in pale yellow gown and robe. She smiled broadly as her children and Jose entered.

"Buenas Dias, mi ninos!" She said cheerfully. She received a warm hug and kiss from each of them. "Jose, did you find your accommodations to your liking?"

"Si, Senora. Much more than adequate, thank you for sharing your home with me." Jose replied, sincerely.

"You are most welcome, my son. Please visit us as often as you are able." She offered graciously.

"And you, Enrique." She turned to face her son. " Did you allow Jose to get some sleep last night?" Jose blushed deeply and Carla giggled and covered her mouth. Enrique smiled broadly and said. "Si Mama, he slept like an angel." He reached to Jose and kissed him on the cheek.

"Ah I am so happy for you, both." She beamed. "Your papa has already left for San Augustin, this morning. He extends his regrets that he missed you this morning and hopes to see you before you return to university. You will go to Jose's home soon?"

"Si, we will be going right away. Jose wants to show me his village, so we need to get an early start."

"Then you should be on your way. Via con Dios. I will see you when you get back. Please relay my greetings to your family, Jose. Be sure to tell your mama what a wonderful job she did raising such a fine son."

Jose blushed again and bent to embrace her. "Gracias, Senora. I will tell her what you have said."

Enrique bent to kiss his mother, then they made their way to the enormous garage. Ricky led Jose to a small blue convertible. "Would you care to drive to the pane?" He offered.

Jose blushed for the third time that morning and looked down at his feet. "I do not know how, Enrique. My family has no automobile, so I never learned. I am sorry."

Enrique placed his fingers under Jose's chin and lifted it so that he could look into his eyes. "This is nothing for you to be embarrassed about, mi amigo. I will teach you when we return to university, okay?

Jose smiled. "Really? That would be wonderful. Thank you, Enrique!' He pulled the shorter young man to him and kissed him passionately on the mouth.

Enrique returned the kiss and held Jose to himself. "If we keep this up, we may never get to meet your family, today. Come. Let us be on our way."

Enrique started the car and one of the garage doors opened for him to exit. They made their way to the hangar and heard the engine of the small airplane starting up. Leaving the car in the hangar, they boarded the plane. Enrique, once again, encouraged Jose to take the copilot's seat up front while he settled into one of the rear seats. Soon they were roaring down the packed earth runway and were airborne.

Jose was lost in the magic of flying one again. This, he thought is what I was born to do. Somehow, he must become a pilot! He was almost disappointed when the neared his village. The pilot offered to fly him over his parent's house and he was very excited to see it. It looked so small and different from the air. He even saw some of his younger brothers outside near the house. He waved, but, of course, they could not recognize him although they did look up.

They plane made a landing in a bumpy field several miles away from the village. Jose wondered how they were going to get to the village. He was used to walking, but he didn't want to have to make Enrique hike all over the countryside. He needed have worried. The plane came to a halt near a shiny car. When the collected their bags from the plane. Enrique took the keys from the attendant and drove the mid- sized BMW into Jose's village.

Following Jose's directions, Enrique wound his way through the narrow streets of the small fishing village and puled up in front of a weathered house, which was simple in design, but in excellent repair. The flowers in the small garden and the exceptional cleanliness impressed him as he stepped from the car and followed Jose to the door.

"Mama?" Jose shouted as he opened the door and stepped inside. "It is me, Jose."

A small, sturdy woman, dressed plainly, came from the kitchen wiping her hands. Her eyes flew open in surprise and happiness as she saw her firstborn child smiling, home from university. "Jose! Oh, mi nino! I did not expect to see you until Christmas." She embraced him warmly. Then looked at him doubtfully. "Why are you home? You have not disgraced yourself at school have you?"

Jose laughed. "No, no mama. I am doing very well at school. You will be proud of me, I promise. Here let me introduce mi amigo, Enrique. He is my friend from university and he was coming home to see his mother. She is very ill. He asked me to come along so that I could visit my family as well."

"Enrique," Jose gestured. "Please meet my mother."

"A pleasure to meet you, Senora." Enrique stepped forward.

Jose's mother embraced him. "Thank you for bringing my son to visit. I am sorry to hear about your mother, Enrique. I trust that she will be in good health again soon."

"Sadly, the doctors tell us otherwise." Enrique informed her.

"Then I am doubly sorry, Enrique. Do you have a large family?" She asked.

"It is just my sister, Carla and myself. And, of course, the Don." Enrique replied

Her face showed confusion. "Enrique's father is Don Diego Chavez de San Augustin, Mama." Jose told her.

Her confusion turned to recognition and then surprise. "Don Chavez is your papa? Oh please, forgive the condition of my home. If I had known the son of the Don would be visiting me..." She nervously began.

"No, not at all, Senora. You have a fine home and it is obvious you care for it carefully. I was admiring the beauty of your garden as I drive up." Enrique assured her.

"Mi esposo will be home soon with my older sons, shortly. Please make yourself comfortable, Senor Chavez, while I prepare our meal. Would you do us the honor of joining us?" She offered.

"Only if you will call me Enrique." He gave her his dazzling smile. "Senor Chavez is mi papa."

"Si. It will be as you say. Would you care for something to drink while you wait? Water, cervesa, or perhaps some wine? Jose, please come and get your friend something to refresh himself." She grabbed Jose by the arm and pulled him into the kitchen.
