Chapter 12--The Grape Stomp

Chris woke early to sunlight drenching the bedroom. He was home in his own bed. Wait it was a new bed, in the new bedroom. He felt bad that he had not been more enthusiastic with Chaz about the renovations, but he was bone deep exhausted. He had never been that tired before. Chris would make sure that Chaz was well appreciated. Tom was gently snoring next to him. He was so gorgeous and sexy and smart and kind and soon to be husband. What had he done to deserve a man so perfect?

Chris slipped out of bed to find the bathroom. His bare feet soaked into an oriental rug, silk, and dark browns and black with a medallion center and foliage border. It was beautiful; Chris wanted to sit and roll naked in the nap. But the bathroom called.

It was large with a double sink, oversize shower, and whirlpool tub below a window overlooking the backyard. A large skylight added illumination. He found the loo which had both a urinal and a commode, like the one in New York.

"Good morning Sir, I hope you have slept well." Beach's cheerful voice was a welcome familiarity. "Would you like me to start the shower or would you prefer that I draw your bath?"

"Shower, please."

"Would you prefer the wake-up setting or stress relief setting?"

That was a new wrinkle. In New York Beach only had control of temperature. Chris was uncertain about the wake-up and did not want to risk cold water. "Stress relief, unless you have other settings."

"I have been upgraded to twelve setting with an option for customizing six more, Sir. I can list them for you if you like."

"No, that is fine Beach. Stress relief is good." Chris stepped into the floor of varied colored pebbles in a rose design. The pebbles felt good on the feet, like a massage. He studied the green and bronze Mozarabic floral design on the walls looking for the soap, shampoo and conditioners. They were in dispensers hidden in a niche featuring water fowl. As Chris looked down the whole lower walls design were grasses, dragon, and ducks. It felt like he was bathing at a secret pond. The rain shower jet was an oval covering the entire ceiling. There was the distant sound of thunder and rain on leaves. Along the long wall opposite the etched glass doors was a cedar bench. He sat drifting into peace. He heard Tom in the bathroom and stepped out of the shower, the shower stopped and performed a self-clean. Outside the shower was a drying mat that was heated. Large fluffy towels emerged from the wall; they were heated.

"How's the shower?" Tom helped Chris dry.

"Amazing"

"I found the instruction manual." Tom held up a ring binder with about 40 laminated sheets. "The shower can also be a sauna, either dry or wet. It is very fancy." Tom walked with Chris to the sink and counter. "I made you coffee."

"Thanks, where did you find it?"

"There's a mini kitchen in the hallway. Built-in coffee maker, microwave, induction burner, sink, small fridge and separate 12 bottle wine cooler. And cabinets for cutlery, glasses and plates. We will never need to leave the bedroom."

"Coffee is perfect, thanks."

"I'm jumping in the shower. Beach set the shower for invigorating." Chris ogled Tom's ass as he walked to the shower. "I saw that, perv." Tom stepped into the shower. "Oh my god, the multiple jets are amazing. I may spend an hour here just playing with the settings."

Chris walked across the hallway to the closet, or Chris thought more the dressing room. Naturally it was large, with a skylight matching the one in the bathroom, over two comfortable chairs with between the chairs, a French Louis XIV side table with two drawers. One corner was mirrors, and a grooming station--combs, brushes, suit presser, and steamer. The rest of the walls were paneled in a light birch. He finally noticed in the corner opposite the mirrors had drawers. He poked in each: underwear and socks. "Beach, where are the clothes?"

He thought he heard Beach chuckle. "Sir, they are behind the panels, but you can tell me what you want, and I can retrieve it."

Chris pushed on a panel, woosh of air hit Chris in the face as the panel slid to the side. Suits, Tom's suits. "Beach I want a pair of jeans and a T-shirt." then he added, "and sandals." The panel in the back of the room slid up and six pairs of jeans, a stack of T-shirts, and four pairs of sandals appeared either on hangers, the T-shirts and jeans were on hangers, and the sandals were on a shelf."

Chris was certain the Beach was laughing at him. "Is this selection satisfactory? You have the options of selecting particular items, by color, or by function."

"Thank you Beach. Do you like the new house?"

"It is nice...but I miss Rosie."

"You will still need to supervisor her in cleaning the New York place."

"Nice closet, but where are the clothes?" Tom patted Chris's bare ass before he slipped underwear on.

"Beach, select casual Saturday clothes for Tom."

"Yes, sir. It is my pleasure to dress Tom for the day." Tom looked at Chris until the noise of the moving panel displayed Tom's attire for the day: worn designer jeans and a pink polo to be worn with red Addidas.

"Good selection Beach."

"Thank you sir."

Dressed, they went into the sitting room, where they were wowed again. It was cozy with cream colored leather sofa and fabric chairs in front of a stone fireplace. Chris looked up at the vaulted ceiling with aspen beams, like in the bedroom. There were French doors to a balcony next to a reading nook. The room had large live plants that gave warmth. "Think we need housekeepers just to water everything," Tom joked, at least Chris thought he was joking.

Descending the dark wood circular staircase, they stopped to evaluate the office. "This is very nice. This will be a great place to work free from the office," Tom said.

"Yes, this is perfect for meeting potential talent, and executives." Chris added.

They worked their way to the kitchen, liking all the touches that made this place theirs. "Hey guys, you finally up or maybe down after being up." Tracey grinned at them. "I'm crashing here to be security. Beach is the bomb."

Tom looked at Tracey, crossed his arms at the chest and scowled. "Which parent did you tick off and for what?"

Tracey looked down, "Got a girl pregnant." Tracey looked up at his brother, who was still scowling. "That gambit didn't work with the rents either. Went to a party, got drunk and stoned. The party got raided by the police. I was arrested. Called the rents and then let me go until my court date in four weeks."

"That does not explain why you are crashing here? I am sure that you are on lock down at home."

Tracey shuffled his feet nervously. "Yeah. Tighter than San Quentin."

"Again, why are you here. This will make it even worse for you. Mom and Dad will be very pissed."

A noise alerted Chris and Tom to another person's presence. A skinny kid with long blonde hair wearing loose jeans and no shirt or shoes. Chris scuttled off to make coffee and a cheese frittata for breakfast. This was going to be fun.

"Sit both of you." They both sat like puppies ready to be scolded. "Who are you and why are you in my house?"

"Sir, I'm Gab." He looked at Tracey unsure of what to say.

"Gab was at the same party as me and was arrested also. His parents did not take it well and kicked him out, since he is eighteen. He had nowhere to go, and I know both you and Chris are cool dudes, so I offered a place, at least temporarily. I know I should have talked to you about this, but you've been out of the country, and I didn't want to worry you."

"Does Chaz know he was staying here?"

"No Sir," Gab spoke, "I always left before they arrived. I needed to look for work. And I did not come back until late." He fumbled in the pocket of his jeans. "Here is your key sir. And I am sorry. I'll leave immediately. I know I fucked this up like my parents always say I do."

"You're not leaving until you've had breakfast." Chris said as he cracked eggs. "Tracey, do your parents know about Gab?"

"No Chris, they are not happy with me, and I didn't want to beat the hornets' nest."

"Are you and Gab an item?" Tom asked as he walked into the kitchen area to help Chris.

They both looked at each other and blushed. "Gab is gay, but hasn't told his parents. He and I have fooled around, but I consider myself pan."

Tom brought over a tray of coffee cups, cream and sugar, and a coffee pot. "Thanks, need my morning coffee." Gab poured himself a cup and then Tracey a cup, adding both milk and sugar to Tracey's cup.

Chris smiled at the act. "Do your parents, Tracey, know that you are not home, that you are here?"

Tracey stared into his coffee like it was a Magic 8 ball. "I left a note.....I left it on the fridge."

"Tom, why don't you call your parents and let them know Tracey is here and safe." Tom nodded to Chris and left the room to call. "Gab, since you have been living here longer than me, you likely know where the dishes are. If you and Tracey can set the table, I would appreciate it. I also saw juice in the fridge, put that on the table too, with glasses." Both boys jumped to do Chris's tasks. Chris put the frittata in the oven to stay warm until Tom returned. Until then he took a place at the table.

"Gab, do your parents know where you are? Do they know you are safe?"

"No sir,"

"Parents sometimes say and do things in anger that they later regret. After breakfast, I will call them and let them know you are safe. We, meaning you, Tom and I, will decide what to do from there."

"Yes, sir." Gab fidgeted. "Thank you sir. And I am sorry that I have caused all this mess."

"You have not caused this mess except for your original action of going to the party. Each thing you do, both good and bad, has consequences. You need to understand that and proceed. But no one is perfect, mistakes happen. It is best to acknowledge the errors, accept responsibility and do better. I do not agree with what your parents did. Their actions are not your fault, even though you suffer for them." Chris looked at Tracey. "This goes for you too. You sneaking behind your parents' back is reprehensible. It says that you do not trust them. That they do not love you enough to help you and Gab." Chris handed Tracey a napkin to dry tears. "How are you going to fix this. You are old enough to take responsibility and to repair it, if you can, the trust you have lost."

"I don't know Chris. How does one restore trust?"

"How would someone regain your trust? What would they need to do?"

"I'd need more than an `I'm sorry won't happen again'." Tracey sat contemplating an answer. "I would need evidence and time. They would need to prove themselves trustworthy not just once but multiple times over a long period of time." Tracey looked at Chris more confident. "Thanks Chris."

"Talked to Mom and Dad. Needless to say, they are both furious with you Tracey. I did manage to calm them down. They are coming for lunch at 12:30 to hash this out and talk to Gab."

"Guess, I need to see what is in the freezer. Chaz seems to have stocked us with food. Now let's eat, and then I will call Gab's parents." The boys devoured the food like they were starved, maybe they were.

Chris took Gab to the office to call his parents while Tom took Tracey in hand. Chris had Gab dial. "Hello, Ms. Krenn. I'm Chris Wentworth. I wanted to let you know that your son Gab is safe. My brother-in-law brought him to our house for a place to stay until I could talk to you." ... "Yes, I know about the incident."..."I and my husband have been out of the country until last night and did not know Gab was staying here until this morning."..."I fully understand your worry."..."Gab said that he was kicked out of the house because of his arrest."..."I understand your husband's position in the community and how the arrest would reflect on him. But frankly my concern is for the welfare of your son."..."That is very true, he is of age. But Ms. Krenn how would the community react if they knew that your husband tossed his child to the street like garbage."..."Hello, Mr. Krenn"..."Yes Gab is with me and he is safe."..."I can appreciate how his actions reflect on you, but your actions reflect on you more. Your congregation will learn more from your forgiveness than your righteous anger."...."I think that is a wise course of action and suitable chastisement for your son's transgression."..."Would you and your wife be amenable to have lunch with my family and Gab."...."I'll have Gab text you the address."

Chris hung up. "Your dad is willing to forgive you. He is less upset about the arrest than you lied to him about going to a party."

"What is my `suitable chastisement'?"

"Gab, you father is respected for his moral guidance. He needs to reassert that role. You will, on Sunday, stand before the congregation and confess your misjudgments and sins. Your father will then publicly forgive you." Gab's eyes widened; he wanted to beg not to, but he was smart enough to know that this was a fair punishment.

Quent and Anda arrived early, as expected and immediately pulled Tracey into the office for a private conversation. After talking with Tom, it was decided to order from a place that Gab's parents liked. Gab's parents arrived a little late. uncertain of the address because the house was not visible from the road. "Mr. and Mrs. Krenn," Chris greeted them at the door. "I'm Chris Wentworth and this is my fiancé Tom Greenwood. Welcome to our home. I am sorry that we are meeting under these circumstances."

"Please call me Tony and my wife Melody." They both looked at the well-appointed living room. Chris was glad that Chaz had finished the room.

"Please be seated. Gab is in the kitchen with Tom's brother, Tracey, his partner in crime. Tracey's parents are here too. They were as in the dark about your son as you are. Trust me they are not happy."

"Gab is well and safe?" Melody asked. It was obvious that she was distressed over her son's disappearance.

"How did my son end up here?" Tony was concerned and suspicious.

"Tom and I returned from Europe from work very late last night. This morning, when we went to the kitchen to make breakfast, Tracey was waiting for us." Chris looked at Tom.

"My brother," continued Tom, "was also involved in the party, and like Gab was arrested. My parents put him on a strict lockdown. But once Tracey learned about Gab being homeless, he broke curfew and offered Gab our home to stay at, since we were gone."

"We learned this this morning when we met Gab." Chris made sure Gab's parents understood their role in this. "Since my parents kicked me out of my house, I have a soft spot for homeless youth. From my experience with my parents, we have reconnected and are a family again, actions are hasty, and it is difficult to bridge egos and lines of authority. Gab appears to be a bright young man; I do not want him to lose his family if the breach can be mended."

"You are right Chris. I was too hasty. I thought he would see the errors of his way and crawl back begging forgiveness."

"My dad thought the same. I didn't return and lived on the streets of Chicago for three years. Living on the streets here in L.A. is even more dangerous for a handsome young man."

Melody gasped at the thought of her son on the streets. "Thank you Chris for not being rash about the situation. But what do we do now?"

"What do you want to do? How do you want to handle your son?"

"We want our son home." Tony was almost yelling it. "Despite his rash and foolish behavior, he is our son and we love him."

Melody started to cry; Tom handed her a box of tissue. "I don't care what he did. I just want my baby home."

"That is best for him too." Chris waited until Melody calmed. "Tony, Gab has agreed to the punishment, if that will help you with your congregation. Love and forgiveness is a powerful message that people often forget."

"I am reluctant to embarrass my son publicly, but you are correct Chris. I have been working on my sermon." He looked at Chris and Tom. "I would be honored if you both would attend. You are the kind of people I want as part of my congregation." Tom leaned back at the comment. "I'm not fire and brimstone, not judgmental, not narrow minded. I want a congregation that is supportive, community aware, and embracing of human differences."

"Thank you for the offer, but my spirituality is more in line with Emily Dickenson."

"Ah, you have an orchard for a church." Tony grinned. "Understand that. Most people do not have the patience for God's more subtle sermons."

"Shall we join your son and Mr. and Mrs. Greenwood, my future in-laws and Tracey's parents." The intercom rang that the food was at the gate. Tom said he would attend to the delivery person and bring in the food. Chris took the Krenns to the kitchen, introduced the Greenwoods and Tracey and then he left to help Tom with the food.

Chris and Tom returned to the kitchen laden with bags of food. The two families were relaxed and discussing the boys' high school experiences. Any anger dispersed into shared love. "Food's here. Tracey, Gab, can you help get dish, glasses and silverware and put them on the counter while Tom and I unpack the food." Both boys rushed to help.

Over good food and conversation, Melody commented, "Chris, Tom, your place is beautiful. It feels so warm yet elegant. Did you do it yourselves."

Both Tom and Chris laughed, "A friend from New York, took on the challenge. He did Chris's place there. He managed to complete almost everything while we were in Europe doing the fashion weeks." Tom looked at Chris with love.

"We returned late last night, like I said, so neither Tom nor I have had a chance to tour the place. Would you like to see the place?"

"I saw the place before the boys bought it," Anda said. "I would love to see the changes. By the way, I love this table with the large lazy Susan center."

"I do too Anda," Melody and Anda were bonding. "I like the rustic look; it so suits the rustic cabinets and the brown quartz countertops."

"We need to get Louis and Ollie out here to do a formal dinner soon." Tom said to Chris.

"Louis and Ollie are friends in New York. Louis is an amazing chef. They are just starting a catering business in New York and are now in high demand."

"For you Chris, they will come." Tom squeezed Chris's hand.

"Ready for a tour?"

"Mom, Dad." Gab interrupted, "before you start the tour. I need to say something." He paused waiting for their full attention. "I'm gay."

"Honey, thank you for telling us. I know it took courage on your part. But we are fine with you being gay. I've known it since you were eight."

"You're OK with me being gay, but what about the church? Dad?"

"Son, over half my congregation is either gay, transexual, pan, bisexual, gender fluid, cross dressers, or not my business. I preach not to judge and to accept other people as they are. We are all God's children. Your being gay, you are still god's child and my son."

Gab held back tears. "I think I fretted over nothing."

"Mom, Dad," It was Tracey. "I'm not gay; I'm pan. I want to have sex with people the excite me physically, emotionally, and intellectual. Gab does that for me." The four parents looked pleased by the admission; less so by the mention of sex. "And we practice safe sex and are monogamous."

"That is very mature of both of you." Tony said with a nod of agreement from Quenton. "Gab, this week we will make an appointment with your doctor and put you on Prep, as a precaution." Gab smiled. "You know my church has a Queer support group you both are welcome to join."

Tracey looked at Gab. "Do you mind if I attend church Sunday, as moral support for your confession of sins." Gab bent over and kissed Tracey.

"Now for that tour," Melody said as she rose and grabbed Chris's hand. She leaned into Chris's right ear and whispered. "Thanks for everything."

The tour of the house amazed Chris. The family/media room now next to the kitchen, was cheery and functional with the fireplace and saloon style bar. The guest rooms, with the former master one of them, were inviting with each its own bathroom and small kitchenette. "Where is the master?" Anda asked. Then turning to Melody, she said. "This was the master bedroom, so where is the master now."

"The second floor is the entire master suite. Chaz turned the two guest rooms and small office into our master. He said it made more sense to have the master away from the main traffic. We lost a bedroom, but four bedrooms and a guest house will be plenty."

"Yes, I like the flow of this." Melody looked out the French doors to the pool area.

"Let's look at the outside area and then return to the library/office and the master suite."

"Chaz moved the outdoor cooking area to off the dining room and kitchen." Tom explained. These freed up the area off the living room as gathering space." A path from that patio went up to a smaller garden and the entrance to the library/office.

"This was the family room, but it's been converted to an office. We work for the new Dreamweavers-West so this is a valuable space for us." Chris showed them around the work stations and the shelves of books. "The spiral staircase goes around an elevator leading to the master suite. The staircase was broad enough for two to walk side-by-side without difficulty."

"How large is your property?" Tony asked.

"A little under 4.5 acres, half wooded with spring and stream, which we have not seen yet, and the other half scrub, which I will make into a garden." Chris explained as they climbed the stairs. The foyer to the suit held a small table and two chairs under an octagonal window. Chris opened both carved wood doors to the sitting area.

"Oh, this is a gem," oohed Melody. "It is so calming and centered." She walked across the room and looked out the French doors. "It feels like I am in a treehouse." Chris realized that she was right.

"I had not thought of that but you are right." Chris moved them forward. "On the right is the bathroom."

"The shower is spectacular. Reminds me of mosaics from Ancient Rome."

Anda hit a panel beside the shower that Chris thought was decorative. It opened to a stacked washer and dryer. "Didn't know that was there." Tom laughed.

They walked across the hall, gushing over the mini-kitchen in the hall, into the closet. "Where are your clothes?" Gab asked as he stared at the paneled walls.

Chris walked over and pushed on a panel, which slid open to reveal suits.

"Who is Beach?" Tracey asked. "I heard Chaz talking to him but never saw him.

Chris gave Tom an evil grin. "Beach is our butler. He manages the house here and in New York." Tony and Melody did not seem surprised that they had a butler. It was a large house, and Tom and Chris had active careers. "Beach, could you lay out clothes for Tom and I for a casual supper out?"

"Yes, sir," Beach's voice echoed slightly off the paneled walls. A few seconds later, the back panel opens with two pairs of slacks and polo shirts. Shoes were on the shelf.

"Beach is a computer program. He is virtual." A chime sounded and a screen on the back panel lit up with the faces of Chaz and Boyd. "Sir," Beaches voice returned with his crisp English accent, "Masters Chaz and Boyd are in the kitchen, shall I direct them up here."

"Thank you Beach, have them meet us in the living room. We will be down shortly." Chris turned and led the speechless group to the master bedroom.

"Beach, could you light the headboard." The stained-glass headboard Slim designed glowed softly.

"That is a work of art." Melody said.

"A friend designed it for me. This is the first time I have seen it." Everybody stood still admiring the work and then looked at the four arched panels above the windows that flanked the bed and the dresser. Chris looked up at the large Venetian glass chandelier. The ebony furniture with thin lines of gold trim was in stark contrast to the white white walls with flecks of white quartz. The room seemed to shimmer. The color was provided by the large painting over the fireplace and the duvet, an oak tree like in New York but in shades of purple. By the French door to the balcony was a life size marble statue: a nude male, facing the balcony, but the head turned back looking over his shoulder.

"This is the most amazing room I have ever seen," Anda said. Your interior decorator is a genius.

"Yes, he is, but don't tell him that. He is waiting for us downstairs. Shall we?"

Chaz was sitting in the living room, nervous. Boyd's hand was on Chaz's knee for reassurance and to keep the knee still. "Chaz, the place looks amazing. You did brilliant work here. Tom and I both love it."

"Thanks, I was worried about the master bedroom, it is not the earth tones you usually like."

"True, but it is both restful and fantastic, in the original meaning of the world. It is unearthly in its beauty. The shimmer to the walls is a fairy kingdom. And the headboard makes the room."

"Thanks." Chaz actually blushed. "I want it perfect for you guys. You both are important to Boyd and me." He stopped to bask in Boyd's adoring look. "Tom, Chris. I would like Tom to be my best man."

"Chris," Boyd spoke, "I want you to be my best man. I checked with Helga and you are both free that weekend of the 31st."

"It will be a small wedding. I have no relatives I want to invite. Boyd is asking his immediate family and Lizette, who's as big as a house."

"We would be honored." Tom said for both. "You've met my parents. And these other are friends. This is Tony and Melody Krenn and their son Gab."

"Boyd and I have met Gab. He's a friend of Tracey's."

"Yes, they are friends. Did you know that Gab was spending the night in the house?"

Both Chaz and Boyd's eyes bugged and mouths dropped. "No, not at all." Chaz looked angrily at Tracey and Gab. "I figured that they came by to get out of their houses and maybe have a little private time. They were very helpful in placing furniture. But I would never allow them to spend the night without your permission. You must believe me on that."

Both Tom and Chris laughed. "They said they were very good at hiding that they were here at night. But everything is worked out." Tom turned to Tony and Melody. "We are going out for supper tonight to celebrate the remodeling of the house. You are welcome to join us."

"Thanks for the offer," Tony said, "but we need to take our son home. Where he belongs." He gave a stern look to his son. "Tracey, we will see you Sunday. Service is at 11:00 but please come early." Tracey said he would.

"It is a pleasure meeting you and Boyd," Melody said to Chaz. "Your work here is mind blowing. You are extremely talented. Do you have a business card? I have a friend who is looking for a designer. She has the money to pay your outrageous fees." Chaz thanked her for the complement and handed her two business cards. Tom walked the Krenns out to their car while Chris stayed with the remaining guests.

"I must apologize for Tom and my behavior last night. Europe was not restful and then a stop in New York for meetings and then Chicago for more meetings; we were exhausted. I don't even remember getting undressed."

"Boyd and I went to the guest house had a drink and laughed our asses off. No hard feelings."

"That is why we like you as friends. You take our crap and laugh at it. Let's go to the family room and have drinks. This room is beautiful, but not cozy."

Into the family room with martini's for everyone but Tracey. Chaz asked how the meeting with Tom's family went. Quent and Anda were interested too.

"It started off rocky, but I won Grandda over." Chris did not want to embellish with what he considered private information.

"Yes, Chris, how did you do it?" Quent asked. "Da called me. First time we've spoken in almost twenty years. He wants the family to visit soon. He insisted he would pay first class. He never pays for anything. Then he was effusive about you and Tom getting married on the estate. Christmas he said."

"Yes we agreed to that." Tom was so pleased that Grandda had finally accepted his parents and siblings. "Chris is a true Greenwood. He turned rock into clay and molded the clay into a human being. It was stunning to watch the overnight transformation. His staff are ecstatic, and Chris is a golden boy for them. They cried when he left." Tom looked at Chris with total love. "It was thrilling to see Grandda laugh. It was music that transformed the house from a mausoleum to a ballroom.

"You are getting married in England?" Boyd asked. Chris could tell he was hurt by that.

"I and Tom have not fleshed out all the details, but we will have a civil marriage here in L.A.. A party in New York. Jazzabel is insisting that it be at her place. She will close it for the night. And then a ceremony in England at Thistledown, the Greenwood estate. Of course, you and Chaz are expected to be at all of the celebrations. We have not decided on attendants. We are thinking of having my family attend only in England. My parents can walk me down the aisle and my sister will be the attendant. But would you and Chaz be our witnesses here in L.A.?"

"We better be." Chaz huffed. "We are your best friends."

"What am I in this wedding?" Tracey asked, afraid he would be left out.

"We thought flower girl." Tom deadpanned to Tracey.

"Oh nice, I have just the frock, unless you are color coordinating everything." Tracey knew his brother well and had figured out when he was baiting. Tom laughed.

"Don't worry, you will be involved. Need to set a good example for when you walk the aisle."

"That's if he stays out of jail." Quent looked at his son. "Or is off house arrest by then." Tracey rolled his eyes.

"Fortunately, neither Tracey no Gab are facing jail time. They were not involved in the vandalism nor the trespassing. The police found them sitting on the curb kissing. But they had an open can of beer. Hence possession. They should get off with community service and no criminal record."

"Have you seen the tree house yet?" Boyd asked excitedly. "We had mentioned it, but once I found the stream and a perfect tree--reality."

"We've never toured the property. We've seen the out buildings and the guest house, but nothing else."

"Then follow me." Boyd led them around the pool to flagstone steps, which were new, around a clump of rose bay to a fork in the path. "Right goes up to the spring and left goes to the treehouse. Both paths followed a narrow shallow rivulets. They turned left and were quickly at the treehouse. "The stream does not run the whole length to the property. It empties into a storm drain about thirty feet from here."

"I checked with zone and natural resources. You can extend the stream bed as long as it empties into an existing storm drain. That can be a future project, particularly if you want to garden the scrub area."

The treehouse was not far off the ground, maybe ten feet, nor was it large, but it was beautiful, like a Viking church. It was a single room with a futon, cabinets, running water, pumped from the stream. Chaz promised that the water was safe to drink. He had it tested. And the place had electricity. The house was an irregular heptagon with a small nook overhanging the stream, which at that point ran through jagged rocks. The sound was soothing. "Can you picture us spending nights here?" Chris asked Tom.

"Yes, as we listen to the fairies sing."

Chaz only shook his head. "One more thing to show you." The went back up the path but went straight at the fork rather than returning the original way. "The spring head is just around this bend. At the turn Chris started to cry. You made me a Japanese garden with a tea house. It is beautiful." He ran ahead, over a small arched bridge which was at the base of a small pond, beside a small Zen gravel garden. The tea house was not large, it might hold four people. Outside were two toro and Japanese lanterns. Crawling through the traditional small doorway, inside were the tatami mats, the central hearth for heating water. It even had a tokonoma or alcove with an ikebana flower arrangement. Placed around the hearth were four raku cups. Chris reverently picked one up and caressed its course shape. Chaz, Tom and Tracey joined Chris. "Thank you, I've always wanted a tea house but never thought I would have one."

"Will you be holding tea ceremonies here?" Tracey asked.

"No, it is too complicated with rituals. This is my place to retreat to. I will open the screen to the garden and the stream and just be." Chris could feel the centering of himself in this space. He heard the bamboo wind chime and smiled. "Thank you Chaz for this. It is perfect."

Boyd stuck his head through the door. "Time is up. You have guests milling around out here like lost caribou."

Back on the path. Chaz took them to the upper patio. "There is a direct path from the office to here." Chaz was pleased that Chris was happy. Chris had given him Boyd, saved him from an unhappy marriage, It was the least Chaz could do.

Since the weather was nice, they sat on the upper patio, the one off the living room and dining room. There was a small wine cooler there, with wine--Chaz was a stickler for details. "How is Lizette?" Chris asked.

"She is big. She is due the beginning of next month, which is why we are marrying the end of this month. Once she delivers, I will take full custody of the baby. Since I am the father of record, there will not be any legal issues. She is willing to relinquish all parental rights, so before Christmas, Chaz will officially adopt the baby."

"We found a house," Chaz said. It is in Brooklyn near where Chet's parents live. It's a nice neighborhood. But it is under renovation right now, but should be ready by the time the baby comes."

"We are also thinking of renting or buying a condo in L.A.." Boyd added. "It looks like I will be working both coasts like you two do. And," Boyd looked at Chaz. "Once your place here is in Architectural Digest." Chaz cut in, "They already have expressed interest in showcasing this place. I hope you don't mind. They also would like to have you available for an interview." Chaz saw Chris look quizzically at Tom. "But we can discuss that later." Boyd looked annoyed at Chaz and then continued, "As I was saying before I was interrupted, Once Chaz's reputation is established on this coast, we expect him to work here more than in New York. Many more people here like to update themselves or establish themselves as important. The right designer is status here. I want Chaz to be that right designer."

"That will be wonderful having you close."

"If this place is any indication of your work." Anda looked around. "You will be the next big thing. Just choose your clients well. There are a few who think their name attached to a project is enough to earn free work."

Quent stood, "Well guys. We need to run and refresh before dinner. thanks for everything and setting my son on...; I would say straight but that is not correct, on the right path. He told me, Chris, how you laid into him and Gab. We will meet at the restaurant." Chris and Tom walked the family to their cars, (Tracey's car was there too). They returned to Chaz and Boyd.

"How is the guest house?" Tom asked.

"It is very nice. Furnishing a little dated but comfortable. Nice not having neighbors to disturb when you get rambunctious."

"I'm a screamer," Boyd said with a laugh. "Chaz and I will let you rest and do whatever, while Chaz and I return to the guest house and do whatever too." Chris and Tom did as suggested.

Since the fashion shows in Europe, Chris's value to Dreamweavers rose substantially. Helga and Stu were being very selective about Chris's assignments. As Helga said, he was "hot property". Several European companies wanted Chris on exclusive contract including Ducati, which is why one day a black and silver Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak motorcycle arrived.

Tracey had pointed out that Chris was physically changing: his voice was deeper and his face more chiseled. He was looking more masculine and a "walking wet dream." The changes increased Chris's appeal by the more edgy designers and brands. His fees went up too.

For three days after Europe, Chris worked in L.A., mostly finishing up Cecelie's music video. He did a greenscreen where he had to mime playing to the soundtrack. It would be used to insert CGI effects. Attended with Tom an opening; the paparazzi had found him, and he was often followed outside of work and at events. Claret was doing too good a job promoting Dreamweavers-West. Chris, Tom and Dreamweavers were frequently on social media and in print media. Chris hated the attention, but it was part of the job. Claret was also helping the New York branch; he was a very happy camper, and his parents were too.

After a few long days in the office, Chris and Tom had plum assignments in San Francisco and then in Napa Valley. Tracey and Gab had managed to convince their parents to let them tag along. Gab was going for an art project at school; he was very talented and had been accepted by three art academies when he graduated from high school. Tracey was to study viticulture for his AP economics class. It also helped that Quent liked growing grapes for wine. The parents agreed only because Chris and Tom would chaperone two teenagers only a couple of years younger than them.

It was fun traveling with the two teenagers, although both Chris and Tom were only a few years older. But those few years were centuries when it came to maturity. Tom worked as a model since he was sixteen and Chris living on the streets aged him. They were both examples of parental moderation. Tracey and Gab were at first put out that the older pair caboshed pot in the car. But once the boundaries were established the younger pair cheerfully complied.

In San Francisco, after they checked into a quaint bed and breakfast that looked like a Victorian palace with its turrets. They would all share a room with two beds. It was not ideal, but it would only be for two nights. They arrived late in the evening, checked in and went for supper. The boys wanted to hit the clubs and bars, which Tom put a firm stop to since they were both underage.

The next day, both Chris and Tom had assignments that would not get them back to the hotel until early evening. They made dinner reservations at Fisherman's Wharf for 8:00. The boys would be on their own, which worried Tom more than Chris. Gab had his sketch pad with him, so Chris was less concerned. Gab had an itinerary all planned: Painted Ladies, Golden Gate, and Castro.

Both boys were naked, flushed and diaphoretic on their bed when Chris returned from his job. "Have a good day boys?"

"Yeah great," Tracey said as he stood and walked naked to the bathroom to retrieve a washcloth and towel.

"Want to see my sketches ?" Gab said as he sat naked and cross legged on the bed.

Trying to test my resolve, Chris thought, "Sure" Chris sat on the bed next to Gab like he was sitting next to his sister. He looked Gab in the eyes and then the sketch pad in Gab's lap. Chris took the pad, "Thanks," and paged through them. "These are very good. I like the homeless man. You caught his determination and free spirit. I have a friend who is homeless by choice. He has the same look in his eyes." Chris continued to look. "Nice...excellent...too conventional but good if you want to be a commercial artist." It was of the Painted Ladies; the drawing was accurate but had no soul. "You have amazing talent, but draw what you see and feel, not what other people want. You will be far more successful."

"Thanks Chris. I appreciate the comments. Too many people say that I am good, but not where I can do better. I cannot improve unless I am told where I fail."

"See what I bought." Tracey joined Chris and Gab on the bed, sitting on the other side of Gab. Tracey's hand slid onto Gab's thigh. Gab giggled. Tracey handed Chris a bag. It contained a cock ring, dildo, and leather collar.

"Who are these for? You or Gab?"

"For both of us. I liked the collar because it is rad."

Chris grinned at Tracey. "Do you know what the collar symbolizes?"

"That the person wearing it is badass."

"No, it means that the person wearing it is owned by another person, that he does whatever the other person says."

"Like a slave?" Gab asked.

"Sometimes, but it does not need to be that extreme, It just means that the person wearing it must obey the person who is in charge."

"Sexually too?" Tracey asked, excited by the thought.

"Sexually, doing chores, pampering." Chris grinned as Tracey looked at Gab.

"I'm not going to be your slave." Gab firmly said.

"I was thinking that we could switch off. Sometimes you would be mine and other times I would be yours." Tracey gave Gab a pouty pleading look. "What you say?'

"Sometimes might be fun, but we need a schedule."

"Boys, many times these relationships have rules set as to what is permissible and what is not. If you want to explore this type of relationship, rules will help."

"I definitely don't want to eat shit." Gab said as he moved slightly away from Tracey.

"Ooo gross," Tracey responded.

"What's gross?" Tom had entered the room and threw his jacket on a chair.

"Eating shit." Gab and Tracey said together.

"You have not lived until you've chomped on a turd covered in marinara sauce. Delectable." Tom smacked his lips. After a few groans everyone laughed. "What brought this conversation up?"

"Tracey bought this," Chris handed the collar to Tom. "because he liked how it looked. I was explaining what it meant."

"BDSM is pretty hard shit." Tom chuckled. "Both you boys are too opinionated to make a good sub." Tom handed the collar back to Tracey. "Be careful where you wear it. You do not want to give the wrong impression and end up chained to a St. Andrews Cross being flogged by a 250 pound bear."

"St. Andrews Cross?" asked Tracey. "Bear?" asked Gab.

Tom looked at Chris, "Neophiles need to be educated before they harm themselves."

"Dangerous," added Chris. "Gay 101 when we get home."

"Feed me." Tracey grabbed his stomach as it growled.

"You need to dress first. While naked is very attractive, it will be too distracting for the other dinners." Tom ruffled Tracey's hair. "Jeans and a T will be fine."

It was easy finding an Uber to the restaurant, which was on a pier overlooking the Bay. They had a convivial meal. Both Tracey and Gab were decent conversationalist, as long as the topic was pop culture or for Gab art. After supper they walked over the Ghirardelli store, Chris bought thirty pounds of chocolate to be shipped home and another thirty pounds to be shipped to his parents. "Think that is over kill, my dear spouse." Chris ignored Tom's comment and bought ten pounds more for the trip. Tracey and Gab were amused.

The next morning, they slept a little late and had breakfast at a small dive that Nat recommended. The boys were more than stuffed. They did not need to be at the winery until 2:30, so they took a leisurely trip, crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, through several nature reserves and into wine country. They stopped for lunch at Hop Monk Tavern, the boys were hungry again, before arriving at their destination at Enchanted Hills Vineyard and Winery. They stopped at the main gift shop and tasting room. It was a large rustic building made of brick with heavy beamed ceilings.

Tom found the customer service desk, "Hi, I'm Tom Greenwood. I am to meet with Jorge Pedronis." The young lady at the desk looked up at Tom and smiled. It was a smile many young women gave Tom.

"Of course, sir. You are expected. Let me contact Jorge." she accessed a walkie talk. "Jorge, Tom Greenwood is here." She turned back to Tom, only then spying Chris, Tracey and Gab. She flushed red with adolescent hormones. "Please take a seat, Jorge will be here soon."

Chris walked around the room looking at the displays and picking up a couple of brochures. Opposite the service desk was a small tasting bar. A young man was behind it carefully watching Chris. Chris walked over to the man. "Can I interest you in a sample, sir." He looked carefully at Chris about to say something else but stopped.

"Yes, thank you. This is my first time to a winery and I am not sure what the protocol is?"

"The only protocol is not to get falling down drunk on the free wine." The young man laughed

"Does that happen often?"

"More than you think, especially when tour buses stop. Most are well over their limit before they get here."

"What do you recommend?"

"My personal favorite is the shiraz, but my husband likes the chardonnay."

"I'll take a sample of the shiraz, and if you have a merlot for my boyfriend. Our other two companions are under age."

"We are a licensed establishment, and they are in the company of adults so it is legal for them to drink wine as long as they are over fifteen."

"Thanks, I did not know that. By the way I'm Chris."

"I'm Roman. You look very familiar. Are you the Chris from Jazzabel's?"

"Yes, I am stupefied that those videos are out being watched."

"A friend sent us a link. We have Jazzabel parties where we play `name that song'." He poured two plastic glasses. "You two have so much fun trying to stump each other; it is contagious."

"I am pleased that you enjoy our antics. I know I have fun." Chris waved Gab and Tracey over. "Boys, you can each have one small." He looked at Roman so he understood. "glass of wine. Roman will help you decide." Chris took his and Tom's glasses to him. "Hope you don't mind but I have allowed the boys a small glass of wine. I consider it part of their education."

"No problem with me. Tracey has wine when we serve it at meals. Dad feels the same way." Tom took a sip. "This is very good."

"Glad you like it," said a short, dark skinned, dark haired Hispanic man wearing dirty jeans and T-shirt. "I'm Jorge Pedronis. I am glad you like our house vintage. Our better vintages are not served in the general tasting. A waste of good wine on people who do not know a sauvignon from a cab. You must be Tom and you must be Chris." He shook both their hands. He spotted Tracey and Gab talking to Roman. "And those two chico joven are with you?'

"Yes, one is my brother and the other is his boyfriend. This is part of a school project for each. The dark haired one is my brother, Tracey, he wants to learn about viticulture for his economics class. and the blond is Gab. He wants to sketch for an art class."

"He is very good," added Chris.

"I was not expecting two younger men, but we are glad to have you here. There is room in the guest house for all of you." He patted his jean pockets until he found a key. "Sorry, but only one key. If you would follow me." Chris corralled the two boys, who were flirting with Roman.

Outside the gift shop was a golf cart. All five piled in and off they went down a flowered path, past a small vineyard, past a large house and then to a smaller house on the opposite side of a swimming pool. The guest house matched the design of the main house with its terracotta brick facade. "This is it gentlemen." The cart stopped. Everyone jumped off the cart, looking at the spectacular grounds and the mountains surrounding the place. Jorge, unlocked the door and took them inside. The inside was modern, crisp and comfortable. "The two bedrooms are that way. He pointed to the left. If you give me the keys to your car, I will have your car brought around to the parking space behind this building, and your luggage brought in."

Tracey and Gab ran back to the bedrooms to claim their space. Returning Tracey said, "We gave you guys the master."

"If you hadn't, you would have been forcefully evicted." Tom glared at Tracey with a twinkle in his eye, but he was also serious.

"Yeh, like you can take me."

"No, I will do even worse, set Chris on you. You know he is one bad ass mother fucker."

"Yeah right," Tracey scoffed.

"He's taken down a monster biker; he can surely take down scrawny you." Chris sat back amused by the exchange.

"Yeah right."

"If I prove it, you need to be my slave until we return home. You get to wear the collar."

"How you gonna prove it, and who will be the judge? Not you or Chris."

"We'll let Gab decide."

"Fair enough."

Tom beckoned Gab to sit by him as he scrolled for the video on his phone. Gab watched, "Holy shit. Chris did that to that behemoth." He looked at Tracey. "You so lost your ass to that one. Chris is awesome, man."

Tracey scampered over and Tom replayed the video. "Shit. You fucking set me up." Tracey was angry, but not as angry as he acted.

"Didn't set you up, I just let you walk blithely into my trap. You lost, now you are my slave." Tom looked at Tracey not sure that he would honor the bet, not caring if he didn't.

Tracey found the collar in his bedroom and gave it to Tom. Part of him was turned on, part of him apprehensive, and part embarrassed. "Slave," Tom looked at Tracey, menace in his eyes. "Kneel. Kiss my feet." Tracey did as asked with a very brief kiss on the top of Tom's feet. "That is not a kiss. Kiss them top and bottom. Make love to them." Tom wanted to see how far Tracey's pride would take him. "Use your tongue. Clean between the toes." Tracey looked up, glared at Tom, and then did as asked. After several minutes Tom told him to stop. "Now do Chris's feet. It is he that you maligned with your ignorant comments." Tracey was less hesitant with Chris's feet. Chris was ticklish so it took Tracey more effort.

"All done." Tracey gave Tom a smug grin like is that the worst.

"Good work slave." Tom looked at Gab, who was very obviously aroused. "Now strip, slaves do not wear clothes unless given permission. Tracey looked at Tom; this was a contest of wills. He stood and started to strip. "Did I say you could stand. You are on your knees unless I give you permission." Tracey stripped. He tried to hide his erection, but Tom slapped his hands away. "Gab, you want to play with the slave, but he cannot cum."

"Thank you, Tom, for sharing. I love a slave who fully appreciates his master and stands erect with hands behind the head."

"You heard him, comply. Present yourself to your better."

Tracey walked over to Gab, hands behind his head. "Nice body on this one. But I think it needs adornment." Gab sucked on Tracey's nipples, then bit them hard. "I like perky russet tits. But I need to inspect the balls." Gab grabbed Tracey's sack and twisted and pulled. His mouth went over the penis and Gab sucked. "Very nice. Turn around so I can inspect the ass." Tracey turned. "Bend over so I have a better view." Gab hit Tracey's buttock twice very hard. Tracey yelped in surprise and pain, but remained bent over. "Lovely shade of pink. If your master does not mind, later I would like to raise the color to red. But I need to check the honey pot and see if it is sweet." Gab licked a finger and slid it inside Tracey's rectum. Finding the prostate, he vigorously massaged it. Then pulled out. "Lick your ass off me." Gab gave the finger that had been inside for Tracey to lick.

Tracey glared at Tom, but was not willing to give up. He licked and then smiled in appreciation. "Thank you Sir." He grinned back at Tom.

"That is enough foreplay. Slave, I am sure there is wine in the kitchen. Bring us three glasses. You may have water."

He returned with three glasses of wine and one water, for himself. He sat next to Gab. Tom looked sternly at Tracey and tapped his heel. Tracey moved and sat at Tom's feet. Tom casually petted Tracey's hair while he and Chris discussed the photoshoot for tomorrow.

A knock on the door, startled Tracey. He tried to stand, but Tom kept a firm hand on his shoulder. "Answer the door."

"But..." Tracey started to say. He rose and opened the door in such a way that only his head showed.

"Hey guys, got your luggage." Ramon walked in and then saw Tracey naked, rose flushed naked. "I like the look. Nice collar too. Who's the master?"

"I am," Tom motioned Ramon to sit. Slave, bring in the luggage and put them in the appropriate rooms." Tom watched uncertain if Tracey would venture outside in his birthday suit. He did. "When you are done bring Ramon a glass of wine." Tracey managed a "Yes, sir."

"Didn't know when I met Tracey earlier that he was your slave." Ramon watched Tracey move around the kitchen.

"My brother was being a wise ass. He made a bet, which he lost. He is now paying out on the bet."

"Yeh, my kid brother is also a clueless idiot. I may need to use a similar approach." Tracey handed Ramon the wine and sat on the floor beside Tom.

"I had a slave, for a short time. Was way too much work. To be a proper master you must be willing to micromanage: sit, stay, fetch, roll over. Dogs are easier."

"Where is your slave now?" Chris asked.

"Married him. You will meet him tonight at supper. My dad wants you all at his home for supper tonight. Mom's making oso buco, it is a rare treat. Oh, any food allergies." Ramon waited for responses. "Good. Got to run. Pick you up at 7:30 we will be eating on the terrace. It has a lovely view." Ramon stood and looked at Tracey. "Tom would you mind if I fondled your slave."

"I would be honored. I would also like your opinion on how I might better train him."

Tracey stood, enjoying Ramon's hands all over him until he grabbed his balls and yanked. "Not cool man." Tracey gasped out.

Ramon looked at Tracey and then Tom. "I have a ball gag. Keeps the slave from talking when they are to be silent. Also have two nice floggers and a penis whip. Helps develop discipline." He turned and left, reminding the four to be ready at 7:30 and jeans are fine.

"Slave, bring the other items you bought today." Tracey brought out the cock ring and dildo. "Do you know how to put a cock ring on?" Tom asked Tracey. He didn't. "Gab do you know how to put one on?" Gab did. "Gab you are a naughty boy. You look so innocent but you've got a little hell in you." Gab blushed. "Gab, put the ring on Slave and then use the dildo on his ass. But he cannot cum. You may tease it all you want until Chris and I shower and return."

"Thanks Tom. It will be my pleasure, but I doubt it will be the slaves."

"Good boy. The slave needs to know his place." Chris and Tom left the living area.

The shower was large with copious hot water. "Do you think you are being too harsh on Tracey?"

"I was planning on freeing him before we go to supper, but Gab is having too much fun. You did notice that Tracey did not lose his erection once. He is enjoying the play." Tom scrubbed Chris's back. "Gab is a surprise. He is more sexually experienced than I expected."

Chris had Tom turn for a back scrub. "He is slightly older."

"Yeah by maybe two months." Chris let the comment pass as he turned Tom again for a kiss. "I love you Chris Wentworth."

After the shower they delayed dressing so that they could test the bed for comfort.

Back in the living room Tom directed Gab to take Tracey to the shower and clean and dress him. Tracey was not to cum. Tracey started to protest but a sharp look from Tom closed his mouth.

"Behave slave or you will sleep on the floor in the kitchen." Gab thought the idea funny as he grabbed Tracey by the penis and led him to the shower.

Before Ramon arrived, Tom removed Tracey's collar with a warning that if he did not behave at supper it would go back on.

Ramon was prompt and the drive via golf cart was short. It was not the big house across from the pool. That was a B&B. Ramon drove them past a copse of trees to a sprawling ranch house that was almost lost in the side of a mountain. "Here we are boys. Mi casa." He led them into the foyer and then down a few steps to the living room, where three people sat chatting while sipping wine. A large glass wall looked west over a valley terraced with grapevines.

"MA, Pa we are back." The three stood and strode to meet their guests.

"Tom, Chris nice to see you again," Jorge hugged both. "Are the accommodations suitable."

"They are perfect. The place is absolutely gorgeous. I can see why people want to live here."

"It is beautiful," Jorge turned to look out the windows. "Let me introduce my wife, Maria, and my son, Sebastian. Maria was short with a plump round face that was divided by a large happy smile. Sebastian was maybe fifteen, and sulky. It was obvious he wanted to be elsewhere. Tom introduced Gab and Tracey. Sebastian perked up and immediately asked the two if they wanted to play video games in the family room.

"Teenagers, try you to the bone." Jorge said with a laugh. He led the group to the sitting area, with its heavy Spanish furniture.

"Both Tracey and Gab were released from home confinement for this trip. They both did something very boneheaded."

"Ramon," Chris said, "where is your husband?"

"In Washington State talking to growers about selling grape pulp. We blend many of our cheaper wines. The blends are one of our best sellers because the taste is always consistent."

"My dad has a small vineyard." Tom added to the conversation. "Produces only enough for the family and a few friends. He is trying to do port now."

"We planted a few years ago a colombard grapes for making brandy. The wine industry is almost at a saturation point, so we want to diversify. If we can produce a first quality brandy, we do not need huge output. Aging is an issue, fifteen years for a premium brandy is a long-term investment. Fortunately, the owner of the vineyard is not out for a quick buck."

"The wine at the guest house is superlative. We appreciated the gift." Chris said. "We just bought a property near Malibu. I would like to try growing vines."

"Are you beachers?" Maria asked. "Sebastian has always wanted to surf."

"Tom and I barely have time to see family. As pleasant and lovely as this place is, tomorrow is work."

"Ramon said you are well known on the Internet, Chris. Is that your job?" Maria was totally interested in Tom and Chris's life. From the outside it is very glamorous, with travel and high fashion.

"No," Chris laughed at the thought. "There is a drag club, very classy, where the owner cons me into performing with her as a contest. We've become good friends. He and his wife are lovely people."

"Chris and I both work for Dreamweavers, a modeling and talent agency. We both model for them plus administrative work."

"That is why we are here. To be photographed wearing clothes by a California designer. Your place was chosen as the backdrop because it is beautiful."

"Then you both know Natalie," Jorge said. "She is very competent and professional. We have been asked before as a place for location shoots but have refused. She speaks very highly of you. I can see why. But you are both so very young to have that responsibility."

"It surprises me too." Tom replied. "I have been modeling for well over four years, so I know the business. Chris has a way with people that makes what we do easier."

"How long has Chris been in the business, since he is in control." Ramon asked.

Chris shook his head and chuckled. "Since April, Tom just lets me believe I am in control. I would be lost without him." The look Chris gave Tom melted his heart.

"The foundation of a good relationship is to let the other believe they are the most important person in the relationship, even when they are not." She patted Jorge's hand.

He leaned over and kissed her on the cheek, "She is absolutely right because I know who is the boss."

Maria looked at her phone. "Dinner is ready. Ramon, would you get the boys?"

They took their seats at the table where chilled asparagus soup and crusty bread waited. The three boys were fully bonded and giggling back and forth. Mischief is afoot Chris though. Tom did too. The entire meal was lovely. The young lady from the help desk acted as the server, so Maria could focus totally on her guests. Chris needed to remember that when he and Tom entertained. Maria was an expert on managing conversation. It flowed like the wine and was as varied as the food. After supper, Chris was asked to play their piano, at Ramon's insistence. By 10, Chris and Tom needed to excuse themselves since they needed to be up by 6 in the morning. The photographer wanted early morning light.

Tom and Chris were reading in bed when Tracey and Gab barged into their bedroom. "Damn," Tracey said, "thought we might catch you fucking. I always wanted to see how my older gay brother did it."

"Yeah, we need to see how it is done so we can improve our technique." Gab added.

"We are not your grade school show and tell." Chris said slightly amused. "Why don't you both get naked and fuck. Tom and I will critique your performance...like the judges at the Olympics."

Panic, this was not what they thought would happen. "Tom, Chris how about I fuck Chris and Gab fucks Tom. That would be fun." Tracey was making his last-ditch effort.

Tom looked at Chris who was looking at Tom. They could hear the boys breathing heavier in anticipation. The both turned to look at Tracey and Gab. "NO," they yell in unison. "Now get the hell out of our room or you will both sleep naked on the porch." The two boys moved so fast that one would have thought Jason was after them. Tom and Chris cracked up at the hasty retreat. Turning off the lights, they snuggled into blissful sleep only to hear Tracey pleading to be allowed to cum. Gab was good for Tracey.

At 7:00 a knock at the door stirred Tom from the kitchen where he was finishing making breakfast. Tom opened the door. "I'm Paul, the photographer. You two ready for the shoot?" Shoving Tom aside, the man walked in and sat in a chair after he rearranged five cameras hung around his neck. He looked around. "Where is Kendal?"

"Who?" Tom asked.

"The designer that we are doing the work for. He said he would be early. Fuck, artist types are so undependable." Tom wanted to point out that photographers were artist types too, but held his tongue.

He looked at Tom, scrunched his face like he licked a lemon. . "My luck the two models hired are still sleeping." He waved a hand at Tom. "Get them up and moving, I don't have time for temperamental people."

Chris had walked into the living room and heard the exchange. "Hi, I'm Chris. Would you like coffee while we wait for the temperamental people to become civil?" He walked into the kitchen where Tracey and Gab had picked up breakfast duty from Tom.

"He's a major douche," Tracey said to Chris. Chris poured coffee for himself and Tom.

Chris rejoined Tom, who was watching Paul with increasing anger as the man became more vocal. "Here Tom, coffee." Tom took the cup and sipped while looking at the man over the rim. "Paul, do you always insult people you work with? The people who pay you?" Chris looked at the man while sipping his coffee.

Paul oblivious to Chris's insult rattled on. "It is just working with these prima donna models who think that just because they are beautiful they run the show."

"Have had bad experiences?" Chris asked.

"Never worked with any but I've read the tabloids."

"Why are you doing this job if you hate the people you are working with?" Tom asked.

"Money's good, and it will help my portfolio."

Tracey yelled that breakfast was ready. "Would you join us?" Chris said.

"Might as well since no one is ready."

There was a knock on the door. Tom let in a young man of about 28 or 29, skinny jeans and a baggy sweater. "Sorry, I'm running late. Accident on the road near here blocking both lanes." He looked at Tom. "Yes, you are perfect. Is everybody here." Behind him followed another younger man, who hid behind the first man.

Tom hid a snicker. "I'm Tom Greenwood and everybody is about to sit down for breakfast. You are welcome to join us."

"Thanks, I'm Kendal Gloria, real last name but it helps the brand. This is my assistant Leslie, and my cousin. He's shy; too sheltered by his parents so my job today is to set him free. Breakfast will be good. I assume the photographer is here." Kendal followed Tom to the kitchen and sat next to Paul, who looked at Kendal and snorted. Kendal looked at Paul. "Lose the attitude or you are replaced." Kendal returned to talk to Chris and Tom. "I'm very excited about you showcasing my work. It has received good local reviews but needs a bigger audience." Kendal looked at Tracey and Gab. "Are these two delectable truffles part of Dreamweavers?"

Tom pulled Tracey close to him. "This is my brother Tracey and his boyfriend Gab. They are here to work on high school projects."

"Gab is a talented artist, so if you don't mind he will shadow us as we move to different locations doing sketches." Chris had pulled Gab close to him.

"Do you have any work with you?" Kendal looked very interested in Gab. Gab blushed; Tracey bristled. Gab ran to grab his sketch pad of work. He handed them to Kendal. "You are right Chris. Gab is very talented. It will be a pleasure to have an artist's eye as we shoot." Kendal tapped his finger on his lip. "Just a thought. Pair Gab's sketches with the photos. Blend the two. I assume Paul is talented enough to merge images."

"I can do anything you want, including erasing all the footage."

"Oh hon, you have a lot to learn if you want to be a bitch. While I am still small potatoes, I am a friend of Mrs. Powell. Piss me off and you will not find any work, including doing Santa photos at the mall." Kendal laughed as Paul blanched and excused himself to use the toilet. "Likely pissed himself and now needs to clean up. I hate pretentious prigs."

"You know Mrs. Powell?" Tom asked.

"Yeah. She is a grand lady in every sense of the term. She saw some of my design sketches and liked them. I've designed several items for her. She encouraged me and is funding this project. She believes in supporting local. She said that she met both of you a few weeks ago and insisted that you work on this project with me. This is a big deal for me and frankly I am nervous."

"Tom and I only met her once. She invited us to dinner with friends. I had a blast. She is so open and friendly."

"Chris, you are on her radar. She will be seeing more of you. And that is not bad company to be seen in." Paul returned. "Let's get started." Before Paul could sit down, Kendal stood. "Do you have locations in mind?" Paul looked blankly at Kendal. "Did you scout the property in preparation?" Paul mumbled no. "What the fuck are you good for."

Tracey spoke up. "Ramon said he was free this morning. He might help." Tracey pulled out his phone and called. Interesting, thought Chris, that he has Ramon's number. "He will be here in ten minutes."

"Paul, be a dear boy and wait outside. We need to plan our time, and your presence will be of little help."

Ramon arrived with his dad, Jorge. "I am pleased to help." he said. Jorge cornered Kendal and told him to come with him. Kendal was reluctant but went. "Show me your design and tell me about any concepts so I can narrow locations."

"This is a man who knows how to manage. I appreciate your help. My asshole photographer has no clue except to point and shoot. My designs are organic with organic fabrics. They tend to be nontraditional and gender ambiguous. And please no warehouses. Done to death. Although steampunk might work. I like the blend of technology in a Victorian milieu."

"How many locations are you thinking about?" Ramon was listening carefully to Kendral.

"Four maybe five. More than that the theme is lost."

"Let's get the show on the road." Everybody stood and went out to the golf cart. Paul was not around.

"That fucking shit left." Kendral was red with frustration more than anger. "Not that he is a loss, but I still need pictures."

"Sir," Gab spoke up, "I have my camera in my backpack. It is good quality and should do the job."

Kendral kissed Gab on the lips. Gab flushed red. "Dear boy, you are our official photographer as well as artist." Gab ran inside, grabbed his camera, and was back faster than a marmoset.

The morning saw them at three locations: an old grape press not used for decades; a rock wall with grapevines, and a small waterfall and pond. Gab and Leslie soon took over the role of director and assistant. Gab was demanding as he saw the wardrobe on how Chris and Tom posed, either individually or together. Kendral fluttered around, fluffing, straightening and primping more out of nerves than necessity. At each location, Chris and Tom had three changes, which was done on site. Both were used to stripping and dressing in open locations. Ramon made sure visitors stayed away, but he enjoyed the perks. At each site, Gab made time to sketch the location and Chris and Tom at the location. Chris was amazed at how fast Gab with just a charcoal stick created art. The sketches were not detailed but they were evocative and emotive. Kendral liked the sketches and wanted to purchase them from Gab; they struck a deal. Gab was more than happy to actually sell his work. Kendral would take ownership after Gab earned a grade from his art teacher, which was the purpose of being on the trip.

Over a light lunch of cheeses and a mixed green salad, the photos were reviewed. Some were rejected, some needed to be edited, and some were stunning. There was one of Chris and Tom in front of a flame red bougainvillea, which climbed the wall behind them. Chris had his hand on Tom's chest, half turned toward Tom and half toward the camera. Tom was standing facing forward, his arm around Chris and his hand on Chris's hip. It was Chris's favorite because it was a statement of their love for each other. He asked Kendral if he could have a copy. How could Kendral refuse after the effort Chris and Tom were making to make the shoot successful.

After lunch Ramon took them to a barren location littered with boulders. In the afternoon, the sun cast dramatic shadows, which Gab played with as he set up the shots. For the last location, Ramon took them to the family home and the kitchen. It had a large stone fireplace, rustic table and chairs. And an old-fashioned farmer's sink. At first Kendral was not certain, but Leslie convinced Kendral and pulled out the evening wear: suits, tuxedo, and pajamas. Gab was most excited about this location; the light from the west facing windows suffused the room with a soft glow.

By the time they returned to the guest house, it was late afternoon. Kendral was thrumming with excitement. He was over the top with how well the shoot went; how, outside of Paul, it was drama free, and how artistic the photos were. "Thanks guys," Kendral said. "It has been a great pleasure to meet you and to work with you." He pulled Gab into a hug. "Thanks so much Gab, without you this would not have happened. I am so pleased that that fucker Paul bailed. You brought a keen eye not only to the fashion, but the emotions I want my clothes to carry. I would love to work with you again."

"Thanks, I anticipated being bored but this was a challenge that was beyond my wildest dreams. Ms. Henderson, my art teacher, better damn well give me an A+."

Leslie went to Gab and kissed him, a more than professional kiss. "Don't worry about any snooty, ass clenching bitch. You know you will be given photography credit. This work will be seen by thousands. You are starting to make a name for yourself. How many of your classmates can say the same."

"Thanks for reminding me, Leslie. Gab you need to contact me Monday so I can arrange payment for your work today. I was to pay Paul 3 grand, but you stepped in at the last minute, are a far better photographer, and easier to work with. Would 5 grand be fine with you?" Gab stuttered a yes.

Jorge and Tracey walked into the house. Tracey was bouncing on his toes, his laptop clutched to his side. "This place is fucking awesome. My report is going to blow my grade into the stratosphere. Thanks Jorge so much for your time. You are an amazing manager. You have so much knowledge and experience, it was a pleasure spending the day with you."

"I enjoyed it too Tracey. You asked very good questions, which makes me rethink our processes. Send me a copy of your final paper. I will be interested in your conclusions." He hugged Tracey. "Ramon, you ready to head home."

"Don't forget Chris and I want to take you and your family out to supper tonight." He looked at Kendral, "You and Leslie are welcome to join us." They begged off to return to San Fran before it got too late.

Tom found a bottle of wine and opened it. "It seems everybody had a most productive day." Wine glasses in hand, Chris and Tom watched the two boys compete in sharing their adventures.

Early the next morning, they packed the car to leave. Ramon, Jorge, Maria and Sebastian saw them off with requests that they return for a more relaxing stay. They in turn were invited to Calabasas and their home. They stopped in San Francisco at Kendral's gallery for Gab to sign the paperwork, review the photos. Gab offered to edit the photos with his sketches and return them by the end of the week. Kendral offered another $2,000 for the service. Once they were on the road again Gab said, "I would have done all the work for free, just for the experience, but 7 thousand will help with my college tuition."

"Thanks, Chris, Tom, for allowing us along." Tracey said. "I originally wanted to do this to just get out of the house and have sex with my boyfriend, but it turned into one of the best experiences of my life."

"Ditto from me." Gab put his arms around Chris's shoulders, who was in the front seat--Tom was driving. "This trip has opened my eyes to why I want to be an artist. Even though my sketches will be commercially used it taught me that art and life are the same. I just need to see the connection."

"Beauty is truth, truth beauty..." Chris said. Groans echoed through the car.
