Randy had entered into the building and started on his floor first to see if he could find where Ted was heading off to. He hoped that the man hadn't already had enough time to get to where he was going. If he had then chances were he would never find him. Question was what was he going to do once he did find him? He didn't rush around the corners as he didn't want to be seen by Ted because right now he didn't know he was being watched.

He would go up and down the hallways slowly from one end to the other. When it came to the stairs he pretty much sprinted down them to get to the next floor not wanting to waste any time at all. Four floors down and he hadn't a clue of where the man had went to and was ready to just give up on his wild goose chase. He was on the bottom corner next to where the entrance was and looked around wondering if he was still in the lobby but it looked like the place was empty. While looking around the corner he didn't hear someone come up behind him until it was too late.

Arms slid around him from behind and locked around him tightly.

"Who are we waiting on?" the voice asked.

Randy knew without even turning around who the voice belonged to. It was John Cena, hugging him tightly. He tried to get out of John's grasp but he wasn't going to be able to do it until John was ready for him to get out of it, and if he had his way that wouldn't be anytime soon.

"Let me go John, I'm just checking things out."

"You can't just be checking things out, you're waiting on someone. I know you Ortz."

"Can't you just leave me to my business and tend to your own? I'm sure that there is someone somewhere waiting for you to come to their room, am I right?"

"That's not really any of your business is it?"

"Well then my business is none of yours either."

While Randy was focused on getting free from John's arms he hadn't seen Cody and Manu walking into the hotel lobby approaching where they were standing. Once around the corner Cody's eyes locked onto John and Randy. He didn't even offer a smile or anything which was unusual for him. Randy knew that Cody was hurting and needed someone to talk to. John released Randy right when they walked around the corner and nodded his head to them. Cody and Manu walked on to the elevator and started up to Cody's room.

John lightly shoved Randy towards where Cody was and laughed, "if you're that desperate to get into his pants then go get him tiger."

Randy had heard enough. He turned towards John and the look in his eyes said everything that needed to be said. In an instant John's back was against the wall and Randy was right in his face, forearm in place at John's throat cutting off his air supply.

"You listen to me and you listen well. I'm not you, I'm not like you, and I never intend to be like you."

John's eyes watched Randy's face taking in every word the man was saying. This was the first time he had ever seen this side of his friend and he had to admit it kind of shocked him.

"I'm not the type to sleep around on someone or just go after someone and turn it into a game. You might think that I'm just like you but you're sadly mistaken. If I ever hear you say something like you just did again I will kill you. Do you got that?" Randy said letting go of John walking off towards the elevator.

His attention didn't wonder too far in case John was to try something while his back was turned but he never made a move. Once in the elevator Randy looked back John's way his blue eyes still piercing the man. John was standing there away from the wall now but his hand was clutched at his throat as he watched Randy disappear into the elevator.

Randy reached out and pushed the number to get to his floor, knowing exactly that Cody was in his room right now. The elevator stopped on his floor and he got out walking down the hallway. He pulled out his keycard but stopped and put his head against the door.

"I'll kill myself if I don't check on him..." he muttered to himself before walking on up the hallway passing five doors.

He slowly reached out and knocked on the door to the room he knew Cody was in. The reason he knew was because he always made sure that they were on the same floor together. Cody didn't know, and would probably think Randy was a stalker if he did. That was something that was best kept quiet.

The door to the room opened and Manu stood there as he looked out the crack to see who it was.

"Oh hey Randy, can I help you?"

"I came to see Cody."

"Well, now isn't really a good time man, I can tell him that you stopped by."

"Please Manu, I need to see Cody."

Manu looked back towards the bedroom and then to the door where Randy was waiting for an answer.

"Shit, he'll kill me but come on in."

Once Manu wasn't blocking the doorway Randy walked into the hotel room looking for Cody.

"He's back there." Manu said pointing off towards the bedroom.

Randy walked off towards the bedroom and knocked lightly on the door that was just slightly ajar. He could see that Cody was laying face down on the bed holding a pillow underneath him hugged up to it. He walked on in and slowly sat down on the edge of the bed looking down at him.

Cody shifted a bit and turned his head to see who it was. He almost jumped when he saw who it was.

"Everything alright Codeman?" Randy asked using Cody's nickname growing up.

"No, it never is." Cody said as he lay his head back down but kept his eyes on Randy.

Randy leaned over a bit and put his hand on Cody's back and patted it gently.

"Things will get better. They always do, calm before the storm as they say."

"Yeah? Well it's been storming for me so long now that I don't think it will ever clear up."

Randy chuckled and lay back against the headboard of Cody's bed.

"You don't have to tell me about storms, I know all about them."

"What do you mean? I mean at least you have someone that seems to care about you."

"Oh do I now? Where do you suppose they are?"

"I don't know, where is he?"

"First you have to tell me who this he you're talking about is Cody." Randy said giving a nervous laughing knowing who Cody was about to name.

"Come on Randy, you don't have to be so naive. I know you and John are a thing, I saw you downstairs."

"Well Codeman, you're wrong. I'm not with John, he and I broke up two months ago."

"Why? If I can ask that, I don't want to get to personal."

"No man, it's fine. We broke up because after my match one evening I walked back to his locker room to surprise him and I caught him and Evan Borne going at it. It was then that my life pretty much changed."

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay man, past is the past. I'm still friends with John, and he still gets around. It's just, that's not me, you know? I want someone who is going to appreciate me. Wants to be with me and is happy being with me, not going to run to someone else once I'm out of sight."

"Well, sometimes I wonder if I'm going through the same thing you did. I mean, are there signs that I should be aware of?"

"Cody, that's something you're going to have to decide on your own." Randy said as he lay down in the bed putting his head on the pillow looking over at Cody.

"I can tell you though, you deserve better than the person you're with. He treats you like shit and you don't need that."

"He loves me."

"You think he loves you." Randy said looking sternly at Cody.

Cody didn't say anything; he just looked at Randy not knowing what to say.

"I guess I should go Codeman. If you need anything I'm down the hall bout two rooms."

Before he got up off the bed he looked at Cody and couldn't stop himself. He lean over and kissed Cody on the forehead before getting up from the bed and leaving the room saying goodbye to Manu as he left.

What Randy didn't hear though was the sobs coming from the bedroom he had just left. Manu did though and went to check on Cody and make sure everything was alright.

Randy stopped at his door and placed his head against it as he realized what he had done in Cody's room. Once again John had snuck up on him and was leaning against the wall arms crossed in front of him.

"Come back to kick my ass John?"

"No Randy I didn't, I should but I didn't. I came back to apologize to you. I don't think about things before I do or say things and I realized I crossed a line. I already lost you as a lover; I don't want to lose you as a friend too. You mean too much to me."

Randy shook his head and closed his eyes.

"John, you're still a friend and you will always be a friend. It's just I don't know what to do. I don't know what to say anymore."

John reached out and put his hand on Randy's shoulder and rubbed it gently. "It's okay Randy. You have a little crush on Cody don't you?"

"So what if I do?"

"Well I say go for it, that's what."

"It's not that easy John, he's involved with a sleezeball who is cheating on him and I can't prove it."

"Why can't you prove it?"

"I don't know where the fuck he went or who he is with."

John held out a piece of paper for Randy to take.

"What's this?"

"Just take the fucking paper, ask questions later."

Randy opened it and looked at the paper. It had a room number on it but he didn't know what it meant. He looked to John and the confusion show on his face.

"It's where Cody's boyfriend is right now."

"Could you take it and give it to Manu to send to Cody? He probably would believe it more coming from you than from me."

John thought about what Randy said and nodded his head. "I guess it's the least I could do for being an ass earlier."

He took the paper and folded it back up in his hand as Randy opened the door to his room.

"Ortz." John said stopping him in his tracks.

"Come here you big lug." John said wrapping his arms around Randy and giving him a friendly hug.

Once he let go of the man he walked on down the hallway knowing where Cody and Manu was and knocked on the door. Randy watched to make sure that he was going to do it before going into his own room.
