Chapter 14

Several hours later, Jeremy slowly woke up to the bright light and warmth of sunlight streaming through the window at the foot of the bed. Still groggy, with a dull headache and a raw pain in his nether region, he felt the warmth of another body lying next to his. Blinking open his eyes, he noticed he was in bed with Liam.

His mind was still full of cobwebs, and he didn't remember much of what had happened the night before. Sure, he had been drinking ... too much, judging by the throbbing pain in his swollen head ... and watching a movie with Liam. They had kissed for a while; he remembered that much, anyway. Though he didn't clearly recall having sex, obviously he had been fucked hard.

Sitting up, he stretched, before gingerly feeling the puffy tissues around his anus.

Liam rolled over, abruptly snorted, and his eyes popped open.

"`Morning sexy," he said, propping himself up on one elbow and smiling at Jeremy.

Oddly, Jeremy didn't feel any guilt about spending the night with Liam, and he smiled back. "`Morning, Liam. Hey, what all happened last night, anyway?" He chuckled warily. "I mean ... I can FEEL what happened ... but I sure don't remember any of it!"

"Do you want a blow-by-blow, Jem?"

"Not really; just the highlights will do." Jeremy tried to laugh, but only a sigh escaped his lips. "First though, what I really want and need is black coffee, and lots of it!"

Liam rolled out of bed. "I think I can take care of that for you. Be back in a sec." He hustled down the hall and started a pot of coffee brewing, before ducking into the hall bathroom and relieving himself. "You were amazing last night, Jem. Amazing..."

The toilet flushed, garbling Liam's words.

"Sorry, there was too much bathroom noise, and I didn't hear that last part," Jeremy called out.

Liam didn't answer right away; but moments later, he stepped back into the bedroom, holding two extra-large, steaming mugs of coffee. He handed one to Jeremy, who immediately raised it to his lips and took a quick sip.

"Hot and strong ... just what I needed this morning!" He turned his face to Liam's. "Now, what was it you were saying?"

Grinning, Liam sat on the bed beside Jem. "That you were amazing last night, Jem. I mean, I already knew you were one hot man, but, fuck..." He shook his head. "Last night, you sure weren't like any other school teacher I've ever known!"

"Maybe you haven't known many teachers away from their classrooms."

As Jeremy took another sip of his coffee, Liam shrugged his shoulders. "Yeah, could be, I guess." He lifted his mug of coffee to his lips. "Last night, though..." His eyes were filled with amazement. "I mean, I never looked at the clock, but I bet we kissed and rolled around on the floor, exploring each other's bodies for a couple of hours." He shook his head, unbelieving. "It was so fuckin' hot! But it was so much more, too. You really made love to me, man ... and I made love back to you." He gazed into Jeremy's bloodshot eyes. "Shit, Jem, I thought I had ... but before last night, I'd never made real, honest-to-god love with another guy before; I'm still in awe of it all."

Jeremy had learned how to be a good lover, during the early years of his marriage. Apparently, though he hadn't used the skill in a while, it was something he hadn't forgotten. Though he didn't love Liam ... fuck, he'd just met the man ... it sounded like all his pent-up sexual desires had finally been given an outlet, and he'd taken full advantage of it!

At that moment, thoughts of his son crept into Jeremy's mind. He wondered what Shaun would say if he knew his dad had gotten drunk and spent the night having wild sex with the downstairs neighbor. In spite of his thoughts, he chuckled softly. "I don't know why I drank so much last night. I'm usually not a big drinker."

"Whatever, man," Liam said, shrugging his shoulders. "But if alcohol is what it takes to turn you into a tiger, then I hope we drink together a lot!"

Jeremy looked Liam straight in the eye. "Fuck, Liam ... I was attracted to you, right away, yesterday afternoon; but I never thought anything would happen between us. I mean, I figured you were straight, since I heard you in bed with a woman the other night."

Liam was silent for a second. "Oh, that..."

Jeremy laughed. "Yeah ... well, I'm sorry I listened, but I couldn't help myself. These apartments aren't soundproofed."

Liam's face briefly turned red, as he smiled. "I was doing a favor for a friend. Hey, I'll tell you about it sometime, if you want." He took another sip of coffee. "Nope, except for a couple of times in middle school ... and believe me, they're something I've tried my best to forget ... I've never had sex with a member of the opposite sex."

Jeremy was curious about the other night, but, since Liam seemed reluctant to talk about it right then, he decided he could ask him about it later.

Instead, he just listened, as Liam went on to describe their night together. He had penetrated Jeremy, for the first time, on the living room carpet. After all their foreplay, he'd had a hard time holding back his cum. Then things moved to the kitchen counter, the bathroom vanity, and the top of the washing machine, before they ended their wild night in bed. According to Liam, both men had climaxed multiple times ... something Jeremy had never done before ... and when they finally fell asleep in each other's arms, they had slept like the dead.

Several minutes later, while staring into his mostly empty cup of coffee, Jeremy asked, "Hey, what time is it, anyway?"

Liam found the alarm clock, on the floor where one of them had knocked it the night before, and picked it up. "Going on 1:00."

"Shit!" Jeremy exclaimed, suddenly standing to his feet. The sudden movement caused his head to throb more, and he winced. "I've gotta be going, Liam. Shaun will be home soon!"

"Let me get you something for that headache, Jem."

As Liam stepped into the bathroom, Jeremy glanced around for his clothes. "I WAS wearing clothes when I came down last night, wasn't I?" he asked, carefully taking a couple of steps toward the bathroom to relieve himself.

Liam laughed. "Um, yeah; for a little while, anyway. You took them off in the living room."

Moments later, after Jeremy had flushed the toilet, he took the three pills and glass of water Liam handed to him. Popping them into his mouth and washing them down with a swallow of water, he thanked Liam. The men found their clothes in the living room. And while Liam slipped into his shorts quickly, Jeremy painfully took his time.

"I hope we can do this again, real soon," Liam stated, taking hold of the doorknob on the front door. Apparently, it had been unlocked all night.

"You and me both," Jeremy agreed. "But next time, I want to be able to remember what made me so sore!" He took Liam in his arms, kissing him tenderly.

Liam's cock began to rise, as he wrapped his arms around his upstairs neighbor.

Reluctantly breaking the kiss, he chuckled. "Jeremy, you better get going, before I won't LET you go."

Jeremy glanced upward, toward his apartment and sighed. "Yeah, I guess." Pecking Liam on the cheek, he added, "See you tomorrow morning early, right?"

"You bet, Jem!"

Liam opened the door for Jeremy, and the 34 year old stepped through it.

"I gotta say it again, Jem; last night you were fucking amazing!"

Both men smiled, before Jeremy began to gingerly head up the flight of stairs to his apartment. With each step he took, there was no doubt about it; Liam had reamed him good!

"Hey, Mr. C!"

Jeremy looked up, to see Zach and Shaun sitting, bare-chested, on the plank floor of the breezeway, right in front of the apartment door. Both boys had their legs splayed out in front of them, and their skateboards and packs were scattered nearby. Each boy had a pair of earbuds in his ears and was listening to his mp3 player. As Jeremy approached, they stood.

Suddenly, he was no longer a lover, but both a father and school teacher again, with all the responsibilities those jobs entailed.

"Are you all right, Dad?" Shaun asked, while standing to let the man unlock the door. "You don't look good."

Jeremy chuckled wanly. "I've got one hell of a headache, but I'm okay, boys; sorry I was late. How long have you been waiting for me, anyway?"

"I don't know; maybe an hour or so," Shaun replied, shrugging his slight shoulders.

While both boys wondered where the man had been and what he had been doing, because he didn't say, they didn't ask. Zach noted that Mr. Carter seemed to be having trouble with the door key. He tried to put it in the lock, upside down, a couple of times, before inserting it the correct way. Then, he twisted it in the wrong direction, before finally opening the door.

"Zach, did you come over to study with Shaun?"

The taller boy glanced from the teacher's hand to his puffy, but still handsome, face. "Um, yeah ... if that's okay with you, Mr. Carter."

Jeremy smiled. "You're always welcome here, Zach. Make yourself at home." He led the boys into the apartment. "I have to lie down for a little while, but I'll feel better when I get up."

`I hope so, anyway...' Jeremy thought, but didn't say.

"I guess we'll just study here at the table," Shaun said to his father's retreating backside.

"Sounds good, boys. I'll be up before too long."

The boys watched Jeremy shuffle down the hall to his bedroom, and heard him flop on his bed and wince.

"Something's not right with Dad," Shaun stated, shaking his head.

Zach smirked, while dropping his pack onto the dining room table. "Yeah ... if you ask me, it looks like he had too much to drink last night."

"Who ... Dad?" While his dad sometimes had a beer at night, or maybe two at the most, Shaun had never known him to get drunk.

Zach nodded. Though he'd never been drunk himself, he had seen his share of guys with morning-after hangovers, at the motel in Leadville where he grew up. He unbuttoned his shorts and carefully pulled down the zipper.

"Hey ... we're not at your house," Shaun laughed, taking a step toward his bedroom for his iPad and notebook.

Slowly and sadly, Zach zipped up. "But your dad said for me to make myself at home!"

Shaun was back with his school things moments later. "Yeah, I know that's what he said, but I know Dad's idea of making yourself at home isn't the same as yours, Zach. I sure wish it was, though!"

Outwardly, Zach sighed, but he knew Shaun was right. Maybe, with time, Mr. Carter would start to look at a lot of things differently. He sure hoped so, anyway.

Since neither boy had cracked open their e-books since Friday at school, they weren't too eager to buckle down and study. But Shaun ... teacher's son that he was ... knew he didn't have a choice, if he wanted to stay on his dad's good side. Just as Zach was a positive influence on Shaun, when it came to social skills, Shaun got Zach to study harder than he would have on his own ... in the subjects other than Algebra, anyway.

Both boys had been hunkered over their iPads, and writing stuff in their notebooks, for over two hours, when Jeremy emerged from his bedroom. He had been right; after his long nap, he almost seemed like his old self. Whether it was because the pain pills had kicked in, or some other reason, his headache was mostly gone, and the ache in his ass was just a hint of its former self.

Zach had to be home by 4:00, to drive into Boulder with his mom. So, not too long after Mr. Hottie woke up, the teen collected his stuff and said goodbye to Jeremy. Shaun followed his friend down the stairs, and hugged Zach before he stepped onto his skateboard.

"Thanks for the awesomest weekend of my whole life!" Shaun exclaimed.

Zach smiled broadly from beneath the bill of his cap. "I hope it was just the first of many!"

"You and me both, Zach!"

"Hey ... did I tell you that my birthday is coming up in a week and a half?" Zach asked.

"Hunh-uh, Zach; how old are you gonna be, anyway ... 15?"

"Nope, just 14."

Shaun shook his head and pouted. "You mean, I'm almost eight months older than you, and I'm just now starting to look like most guys at twelve or thirteen? Damn, it's not fair, Zach!" At least, now that he had finally entered puberty, he wouldn't be going backwards.

Zach laughed. "I love you, dude ... not how you'll be in six months, but just how you are right now." He stepped onto his skateboard. "I gotta split; see ya in the morning, Shaun."

Shaun heard the `L' word, but didn't think anything of it. The way it had slipped so easily off Zach's tongue, he probably didn't mean anything by it, anyway. "Yep, see you in the cafeteria."

Zach skated off in a hurry. While he wasn't sure why his mom had only that morning suggested they go shopping together in Boulder, he wondered if it might have something to do with his upcoming birthday. But, whatever the reason, he wanted to be sure they drove the long way into Boulder ... down Highway 36. Maybe he would notice the ranch the guys talked about in the story.

Heidi was ready to leave, when Zach got home. So, after Zach threw on the first T-shirt that came to hand, they hopped in the family car. Because the dark blue, early 90's Saturn station wagon doubled as her work car, the back seat had been folded down, and the cargo area was like a rolling janitor's closet.

As she started the motor and began to drive toward the road, Zach spoke up. "Mom, can we go through Lyons this afternoon? I wanna check out a couple of things on the drive down to Boulder."

Though she wondered why it should make any difference to Zach, she agreed. "I suppose so, Zach; it's not that much farther."

"Thanks, Mom. Shaun got me hooked on a story we started reading on-line, about a bunch of boys our age. It's supposed to have happened around here, a few years ago ... on some ranch north of Boulder. I just wanna see if it's a real place or not."

Heidi smiled indulgently, as she waited for cross traffic, and then turned the car to the right, onto the Hygiene Road. "I'm sure the story is fiction, Zach. I hope you won't be too disappointed if the place doesn't exist."

"No, I wouldn't be disappointed, Mom." Though Zach knew he would be saddened, a little bit, anyway, if the J bar A ranch was just made up. He didn't have to worry about that, however. Only a few miles after they turned south on US 36, the twin posts and crossbar announcing the ranch and photography business appeared, just where they were supposed to be.

"Look, it is a real place Mom," Zach said, pointing to the sign. He turned his head, taking in every detail, as they drove past.

"So it is." Heidi glanced to her right for a second and noticed the ranch driveway.

Slowly turning his head back around to the front ... as they rounded a curve, and the ranch sign disappeared ... Zach asked, "Why are we going into Boulder this afternoon, anyway?"

Heidi chuckled. "I thought we'd go to Target, and you could get a few pairs of blue jeans and some long-sleeve shirts for school this winter."

"Gee, thanks, Mom." Zach meant just the opposite, as he rolled his eyes. "You know how much I LOVE shopping for clothes."

"Yes, I know. But I thought since you are in high school now, you'd want to pick out what you'll be wearing. And I need to buy a few things for myself, too." She glanced over at Zach, who appeared sullen. "I thought we could go out to eat afterwards ... if you wanted to, that is."

Looking straight ahead, Zach replied, "Well, that sounds good, anyways."

They rode in silence for a few miles, and soon they had passed the northern city limits of Boulder. Traffic was suddenly a lot heavier. After several stop lights, Heidi steered the car into the Target parking lot.

Though she had tricked him into going clothes shopping, it had never been easy for Zach to stay mad at his mom for long. Grudgingly, he had to admit she was right. Since he had to wear clothes at school ... and there was nothing he could do about that fact ... he WOULD like to pick them out for himself.

Finally, Zach spoke up, "How much do I get to spend on the clothes?"

Heidi had a credit card for her cleaning business, but for family purchases, the Andersen's operated on a `cash only' basis. She had just over $300.00 in her purse.

"How about trying to keep it under $175.00, okay?"

That was more than a lot of money to Zach!

"For sure, Mom ... I can do that!"

"The last time I bought you jeans, I got a 28" waist; but be sure to try everything on, so you know it will fit! And when you're trying on the jeans, make sure they're long on you, so you don't grow out of them in a couple of months ... okay?"

Zach nodded.

After mother and son got out of the car and headed into the store, Zach pulled a cart from the rack, while Heidi took a second one for herself. They parted ways almost immediately. And, after Zach looked around for a bit, he steered his cart toward the `Young Men's Department'.

When Zach was a little kid, his mom had dragged him to the grocery store every weekend. Back then, he had no choice but to tag along with her, wherever she went. Thankfully, about the time they moved to the farm, she stopped making him go with her all the time. Except for when she bought him shoes ... when he got his skateboard and other fun stuff, or around Christmastime ... he hadn't been shopping in nearly three years. He had never been clothes shopping for himself. Glancing around the department, he noticed several moms were looking through the racks. Two or three teens and a couple of twenty-something guys, were shopping, as well.

Zach stepped out of the aisle and into the pants section of the department. He looked around, confused. Fuck, there were so many clothes to choose from!

"Having a hard time deciding?" a voice asked from off to his right, causing Zach to glance in that direction. A college-age man, with a couple pairs of faded jeans draped over his arm, stood there smiling. "I THOUGHT you were the guy from the bike ride the other night. It's Zach, right?"

"Yeah, that's me," Zach mumbled. "Sorry, but do I know you?"

"I'm Ryan ... the `pirate'; remember me, now?"

"Sure, Ryan! I just didn't recognize you without the makeup, and in regular clothes." Zach's face burst into a big smile. "How's it hangin', man?"

Ryan looked toward the hefty bulge in the crotch of his silky, electric blue, basketball shorts. "Can't complain one bit, Zach." He glanced into Zach's empty shopping cart. "Let me guess; you're here to shop for school clothes, right?"

Zach sighed. "Yeah, I suppose. But I don't go shopping much, and don't know where to begin."

"There's lots of cool stuff here. Let me show you some jeans that I like, anyway," Ryan said, leading Zach to a rack of hanging bluejeans. "I sure wish they had styles like this when I was your age, Zach! Everything was baggy, back then." Remembering what he wore in high school, he laughed and shook his head. Searching through the rack, he pulled out a pair of VERY low cut, stonewashed jeans, with maybe a three inch zipper, max. "I don't know if these are your size, or not, but I think they'd really look hot on you, Zach."

Zach was starting to get hard, just looking at the hip-hugging jeans and imagining what they would look like on him. "Thanks a lot, man!" he said. "But they're too big, I think. Mom said to try a 28" waist." . As Ryan hung the jeans back on the rack, his iPhone beeped three times. He pulled it from his pocket, read the text message, and quickly answered it.

Ryan nodded toward the phone in his hand, as he pocketed it. "My boyfriend." He smiled at Zach. "He just pulled up, and he's waiting for me out in the parking lot. I gotta go now, but I'm really glad I ran into you this afternoon."

"You and me both, Ryan!" He pulled a size 28 from the rack. "Thanks for all the help with this stuff."

"Any time," Ryan laughed, as he turned to go.

Zach took a few pairs into the fitting room, and soon he had his first purchase in the cart. He looked around at the other styles of jeans. When he checked out the price tags, he noted that the hotter the clothes, the more expensive they were. In the end, he settled for one pair of the lowest cut, tight fitting, stonewashed jeans, and three more pairs of cheaper, but still sexy, jeans. He bought an assortment of long sleeve T's, but added a dressy-looking collared shirt, too. Zach never wore shirts with collars, but he thought the blue, rust, and soft green plaid of the button-down sport shirt would look sexy with the low cut jeans.

After totaling the price tags several times, Zach was pleased that his purchases came to just $171.53. He had outfitted himself for school for less than his mom had allowed him! And, truthfully, he WAS glad he had picked out the clothes himself. He tried on enough pairs of jeans that he got the fit just right, and bought styles that his mom never would have.

With the hint of a self-satisfied smile on his face, Zach glanced around. His mom was nowhere to be seen, so he decided to check out the nearby Sporting Goods Department.

Hanging and floor model bicycles were right in front, and Zach spent several minutes looking through them. Except for the bike ride the other night, with Shaun and his dad, Zach had quit riding his BMX bike because he'd outgrown it. When he looked at the price tags ... the cheapest was almost $200.00 ... he was pretty sure there was no way his mom could afford one.

Even so, he rolled a cool, camouflage framed mountain bike out of the rack and straddled it. Wow ... it fit him perfectly!

This seems like a good spot to end chapter 14. I hope everyone enjoyed it!
