Thanks for the emails and support after the last chapter. I'm glad guys are still enjoying the story.

Those of you who have read my earlier stories know that I generally began them in the early fall and ended them around this time, because the busy season at work begins in March or April. This year, it seems, I don't have time for much more than working, eating, and sleeping. lol Fortunately, I had a few chapters written ahead, and the crunch time at work should end next week. (I have two more chapters written after this one.) I used to be a fast writer, but not anymore. It often takes me two weeks to write a rough draft of a chapter, and then there are the revisions and rewrites.

I guess I'm saying all this, to let you guys know there may be a delay after chapter 17 is posted. Then again, maybe chapters 18, 19, and 20 will fall into place quickly, and I can continue to write through the summer. I know the basic outline of what I want to say in the next few chapters; and from the get-go, I've had an ending in mind for this story. Anyway, of course, I will let you readers know. Those of you who have read my earlier stories know that I end what I begin, but I don't want to rush to an unsatisfying ending either.

I hope you enjoy chapter 15!

Chapter 15

Zach had been trying out the bike for several minutes, when Heidi walked up.

Though a bicycle had been her main form of transportation until she was in her late 20's, and she still rode one for exercise, Heidi smiled. "I thought you said bicycles were just for little kids, Zach."

"Yeah, well ... that's what I thought, before the other night, that is." He was right at the age where boys begin to seriously look forward to driving. But, in the nighttime bike ride, there had been lots of guys in their late teens or early twenties. Obviously, just because a guy was OLD enough to drive, didn't mean he couldn't still have fun on a bicycle. Swinging his leg over the saddle and putting down the kickstand, Zach sighed. "This one's cool-looking, but it's too expensive, anyways."

Though she did spend several moments glancing over the bike, Heidi lifted the price tag, $299.99, and nodded.

"You could get a lot more for your money, Zach, with a nice used bike." She glanced in her son's shopping cart. "I see you found some school clothes. Did they fit you okay?"

"Yeah, they fit me just right, Mom." As mother and son began to walk toward the front of the store, Zach continued, "Say ... I'm sorry I was such a pain earlier. I'm really glad you brought me along, and let me pick out this stuff for myself!"

"I thought you'd be happy about that, Zach. Did you make sure the jeans are long enough?"

"Yep, they're plenty long."

After checking out, the two enjoyed burritos and Cokes at Chipotle, before returning home.

Later that night, Zach spent a couple of hours on Facebook, before checking out a few gay video sites. Already, he missed Shaun a lot! As he jacked off, his mind reflected on all the fun he'd had with Shaun over the weekend. Thinking about one of the times Shaun sucked him off, gave Zach the orgasm he needed.

The next morning, for both Shaun and his dad's benefit, Zach would have really liked to wear the new low-cut jeans and sport shirt he'd bought. But, since the afternoon weather was supposed to be pretty hot, he opted for loose fitting shorts and a thin T-shirt instead. He couldn't wait for the first cool day of fall, however. His mind churned with several fun possibilities.

Shaun was waiting for Zach in the school cafeteria, when he arrived at 20 minutes until 8. The boys talked with their other friends for a while, and then wandered the halls.

Though Jeremy's ass was still sore from Liam's reaming, by Tuesday morning, the pain had subsided to a distant, dull ache. As the first bell was ringing, Mr. Carter looked up from his laptop ... where he had been reading the sports. A handful of students began to trickle into the room, with Zach and Shaun among the first. To Jeremy's surprise, Zach sauntered right up front and took the middle seat on the front row. Shaun, who had told Zach he wasn't too happy about still sitting in the front row, when he no longer had to, slipped into the desk to Zach's right.

"Good morning, boys!" Mr. Carter said, smiling at Shaun and Zach.

"`Morning, Dad."

"Hey, Mr. Carter." Starry-eyed, Zach gazed at the man he idolized, as he slid down low in his seat, spreading his knees wide.

Zach continued to stare at Mr. Carter, though Jeremy turned his attention to the other early arrivals. Shaun, of course, noticed and shook his head, before glancing at his dad.

Nope, he sure couldn't see whatever it was that Zach obviously saw in his father.

For the next couple of minutes, Jeremy surveyed the students as they arrived, speaking to several of them. Though Zach's face didn't give anything away, as he alternately chatted with Shaun and then the kid on his left, it almost seemed to Jeremy, as if the teenager was trying to give him a view up the leg holes of his baggy shorts. He was doing a pretty good job of it, if he was. Jeremy glanced up them once; Zach had really nice legs, tanned as far up as he could see. He thought he might have glimpsed the tip of a hard dick, lurking in the shadows. But that could have just been his imagination. Anyway, when he felt his own cock began to stiffen, he cleared his throat, and forced himself to look away.

Out of the corner of his eye, Zach noticed the teacher looking, and tried to angle his left leg just so ... hoping to give Mr. C a better view. But, to his dismay, Mr. Carter looked away, and began to talk to a girl who was also seated on the front row. The teacher stood, with a handful of papers, as the second bell was ringing, and Zach was happy to see that Mr. Carter appeared to adjust his package. He cleared his throat again, before cheerily addressing the class.

"Good morning, everybody! I hope you all had a great weekend!" He waited a moment for the talking to die down, before reading a couple of announcements and calling the roll. After emailing the attendance record to the office, Jeremy smiled wickedly.

"I know how bad all of you must feel, because we didn't have school yesterday." He could tell, just by looking at the class, that the extra day off had caused all kinds of hardship for his home room students. "So ... just to get everyone settled back in the groove, I've got a little surprise for you this morning."

He paused for effect.

"Clear off your desks, and we're gonna have a short quiz on what you were supposed to study over the weekend."

Groans went up from several students, as they emptied their desktops.

Mr. Carter counted out a half dozen papers and handed them to the girl on the front row, to his extreme left. "Take one and pass them back." He repeated the process with Shaun, before stepping in front of Zach. While Zach wasn't happy that Mr. Carter was giving the class a quiz, his eyes locked with the teacher's for a long moment, and he smiled sexily, anyway.

`Damn ... is Zach trying to come-on to me?' Jeremy wondered for the second time that morning. Uncomfortably, he smiled back, as he handed five copies of the quiz to Zach.

The teen took the sheaf of papers from the teacher, laid one on his desk, and raised his hand over his head with the remainder. The girl seated behind Zach took them, and by the time the pop quiz had made its way to the back of Zach's row, Mr. Carter had finished handing them out. As soon as he was sure that everyone had their copy, he smiled at the class.

"Twenty minutes, and no talking or looking around," he said, stepping behind his desk for a moment. As the students began to work with the equations, Mr. Carter slowly roamed up and down each aisle, before returning to his desk. He straddled one of the front corners, sat on the desktop, and surveyed the class.

After only nine or ten minutes, Zach finished the quiz, laid down his pencil, and looked up. Mr. Carter ... who had been watching Zach ... smiled, before averting his eyes. Zach kept his eyes locked on the teacher, however. And, when Mr. Carter again glanced in Zach's direction, he noticed the boy still gazing, almost dreamy-eyed, at him.

At first, Jeremy was flustered, as Zach continued to stare. But, after a while, when Zach didn't look away, Jeremy thought maybe the boy was just daydreaming, rather than staring.

"Um, those of you who finished early probably ought to take the extra time to check your work," Mr. Carter suggested.

Zach was sure he had gotten all the answers right, and didn't take Mr. Carter's advice. As it turned out, he had solved eight out of the ten problems correctly, but was happy with his score, anyway. For the rest of the hour, Zach's mind was focused more on the teacher, than what he was trying to teach.

When algebra class ended, Zach and Shaun ducked into a nearby Boys' Room. While Shaun pissed, Zach pulled his hard and throbbing cock from the open fly in his shorts and began to quickly jerk off.

Shaun noticed, shook his head, and laughed. "Don't tell me you're doing that because of my dad, Zach." His powerful stream splashed off the back of the urinal, onto his shorts, before he aimed his cock down.

Zach punished his dick even harder and moaned softly, as he orgasmed. Then he rinsed the inside of his shaft clean with pee and zipped up. "Okay, Shaun ... I won't tell you, then." Chuckling, he flushed the urinal about the same time as Shaun, and they moved out of the way ... making room for the next two boys in line ... before they hustled to gym class.

That semester, the Boys' Room nearest Mr. Carter's class and Zach got to know each other extremely well! Every day ... usually before class, unless the boys were running late ... Zach lost his second load of the morning in one of the toilets. Even so, minutes into Algebra class he was always hard again, except for a few days in November, when Mr. Carter was out sick. On those three days, Shaun finally got his wish to sit further back.

In addition to studying in Mr. Carter's classroom for an hour or so, after the last bell of the day (at least, Zach SAID he was studying and not just ogling Jeremy), and skateboarding together after school, while the weather was still nice, the boys ... and also Mr. Carter ... developed some other routines during that semester. Jeremy and Liam did indeed become running partners. On many weekends, either Shaun would overnight with Zach, or Zach would sleepover at the Carter apartment. When Shaun was away from home for a night or two, it gave Jeremy some extra free time to spend with Liam. For a little while, anyway, most everyone seemed to be okay with that arrangement.

As Jeremy had hoped, Shaun never brought up that afternoon when he almost caught his dad jacking off. But, probably because Jeremy was remorseful that Shaun had caught him reading the erotic story on Nifty, he didn't go back to it for almost two weeks. Like Zach before him, Jeremy was more than a little surprised when the young Lars made his appearance. But, since Jeremy didn't know that Zach and his mom had lived high up in the Rockies, when Zach was younger, he assumed the name was just a strange coincidence.

Zach's birthday, September 16, fell on a Friday that year. Since he was now in high school, Zach felt like birthday parties were kid stuff. But, he did ask his mom about inviting Mr. Carter and Shaun to the farm for a birthday dinner that evening. He wanted Shaun to spend a couple of nights, too ... that was something both boys eagerly looked forward to. After putting a lot of thought into it, Shaun had come up with what he hoped would be the perfect present for Zach. At a couple minutes `til seven, Jeremy and Shaun parked their bikes by the front door of the Andersen house. Right away, Shaun pulled his T-shirt over his head and tucked it into the waistband of his shorts.

Jeremy laughed. "Pretty casual, aren't we, Shaun?"

"Yeah, Dad, but that's just how things are out here. It's one of the things I love about the farm." He paused for a moment, wondering if he should say what was on his mind. A smile crossed his lips. "You know, Dad ... it wouldn't hurt you to loosen up a little, too."

"Probably not," Jeremy replied, surprised when Shaun let him ruffle his hair a bit. He draped his arm over Shaun's shoulder and pulled his son to his side, before the two walked toward the front door. Jeremy rang the bell, and Zach, with Jake right by his side, answered the door seconds later. Like Shaun, Zach too was bare-chested.

"Hey, Mr. C ... Shaun!" As Zach greeted both his teacher and friend with high fives, Jake wagged his tail. He sniffed the man before him, memorizing his scent, while Mr. Carter was slapping hands with his master.

"Happy Birthday, Zach!" Jeremy replied, petting the dog for a moment, before handing Zach a large card.

"Here's mine, too," Shaun added, pulling a bent envelope from his back pocket, before turning his attention to Jake. Cooing, he briskly rubbed the dog's fur, and Jake basked in the attention.

Zach led the Carters into the house, and laid the cards on a table near the door ... next to another birthday card ... as Heidi greeted them from the kitchen. Dinner was almost ready, and she asked the boys to set the table, while she finished things. Several minutes later, everyone was seated around the kitchen table. Jake took his normal dinnertime position ... under the table at Zach's feet ... which put him right between Zach and Shaun. He liked that spot just fine!

Heidi went all out, and served most of Zach's favorite foods for his birthday supper. Although Heidi wasn't sure why ... because she never fixed it ... Zach loved fried chicken. Earlier that afternoon, she had stopped by KFC, and picked up a large bucket of extra crispy on her way home from work. She made her special recipe potato salad, corn on the cob, baked beans, and also stewed rhubarb ... four other favorites of Zach's ... as well as baking his all-time favorite cake: white layers, with whipped cream and a can of cherry pie filling for topping.

After everyone had eaten his or her fill, and then some, Heidi took the cake out of the refrigerator and lit the 14 red candles which were circling the top. With Zach smiling proudly, Jeremy led the trio in a rousing version of `Happy Birthday', before Zach made a wish and easily blew out the candles.

"What'd you wish for, anyway?" Shaun asked.

"A couple of things, actually." Zach smirked in that sexy way he had. "I'd tell you, if I could, Shaun; but this is ONE wish I want to come true!"

Everyone laughed, and as Jeremy and the two boys were eating their slices of cake, Heidi fetched the birthday cards from the living room table and handed them to Zach.

"Happy Birthday, son!"

"Thanks, Mom." Zach laid down his fork and opened the card from his mother first.

"Wow, Mom!" His eyes almost bugged out of his head. "$325.00 ... thanks a lot!" Smiling from ear to ear, Zach held the five bills high for all to see.

Heidi was proud of her son for many reasons, and was really happy she had earned some extra money and tips over the Labor Day weekend so she could give him a nice present. "Zach, I wasn't sure if you'd like a bicycle for your birthday, or not. But, after the other day in Target, when I saw how good you looked on that bike, I decided to get on your laptop and check Craig's List. I found quite a few used mountain bikes ... that sounded really nice, anyway ... for around that much. Or, I suppose, you could just get that new one you were checking out in the store. Of course, you can always save the money, or use it for something else, if you want; it's up to you!"

"Thanks, Mom!" Zach exclaimed again, giving Heidi a big hug. He had never held that much money in his hand at one time. And while he'd have to think about it for a little while, he was pretty sure a bike that was big enough for him was something he would enjoy. "Do you wanna hold onto this for me?" he asked, handing the money to his mom.

"Sure, Zach ... if you trust me not to spend it, that is."

Grinning, Zach shook his head. "You better not spend it, Mom, `cause I know where you live!"

Everyone laughed, as Heidi took the cash, and Zach picked up the second card. It was a large, humorous one from Mr. Carter. Zach read the printed message, and then the handwritten note from the teacher, telling Zach how happy he was to have him as a student and a friend.

Zach laughed, as he read it. "Hey, Mr. C., where's the money in this one?"

Tongue-in-cheek, Jeremy smiled. "Sorry, Zach; maybe next year." In the short time he'd known Zach, for better or worse ... because he usually didn't allow himself to get personally involved with his students, outside of class ... Jeremy was beginning to look at him as more than just a pupil. "I just wrote out a big check to Shaun's mom, so I'm a little short on cash right now." He chuckled sadly. "Here's a little free advice, though: beware of women, Zach." He glanced at Heidi and smiled. "Present company excluded, of course. But, seriously ... don't get married until you're SURE she's the right one for you. Zach, try not to ever get yourself in the same position where I am right now."

"I'm real sure that'll never happen, Mr. Carter," Zach replied, smirking in Shaun's direction.

Hoping Zach was right, Jeremy nodded, as Zach lifted the small card, that had to be from Shaun. He opened the sealed envelope. Shaun had printed out the cover on the computer earlier that afternoon. On the front was the simple sentiment, `Happy Birthday'. Shaun had considered how to word his thoughts for a couple of days, and still wasn't quite happy with how they sounded on paper. As Zach opened the card, he read Shaun's handwritten note:

`Zach, you're the best! I've never known anybody like you ... ever. Because of you, everything in my life has changed. It's all SO much better now. You're the best friend a guy could have! Anyway, Zach, I'll wait until we're alone to give you my present, and I sure hope you enjoy it. Happy Birthday! Shaun'

Realizing, again, how much Shaun's friendship meant to him, too, Zach was almost speechless. He read the card for a second, and then a third time. "Thanks, Shaun, a lot!" He carefully closed the card, put it back in the envelope, and placed it on top of the others. "Everybody, this has been the best birthday I've ever had!"

This was a very difficult chapter for me to write, but I think it turned out okay in the end. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed reading it.

Have a great week, everyone! Greg
