Tim was very excited about Heath saying that he had to make a commitment and was hoping against all odds that he was going to say that he wanted him to be his boyfriend. He loved both Heath and Jeremy but he was never able to show how much love he had for Jeremy before his untimely death. He was not going to pass up the opportunity to let that slip away with Heath. Tim got out of bed and went into the bathroom to clean up and then get dressed. After he was dressed Heath got up and cleaned up and got dressed. They both headed down stairs to have breakfast, and then they would be on their way to the police department to make a formal compliant against Sterling, for the death of Jeremy.
Heath and Tim went into the police station and asked to talk to a detective.
Minutes later a officer came out and introduced himself to the boys. I am Detective Sergeant Kevin Willis, what can I do for you boys.
Heath told Officer Willis that he wanted to charge Sterling, Tim broke in and said his last name is Overton Heath started again and said with the death of Jeremy Roberts.
Detective Willis asked the boys to follow him into the interrogation room. They went inside and Officer Willis said that he would be right back. He returned with some paper to take notes and write notes on. Officer Willis stated that he would need to know everything that happened and whatever evidence that they had. When the boys finished telling Officer Willis the story, he was amazed that such a thing could have happened but told them that they really had no evidence against Sterling. He stated that his hands were tied due to the lack of evidence.
Heath pushed the chair back and stood and yelled so you plan on doing nothing and he just gets away with killing him. Where is the justice that is supposed to protect the people. Tim Stood and wrapped his arms around Heath and whispered in his ear calm down he is only doing his job.
Tim turned and faced Officer Willis and apologized on behalf of Heath.
Officer Willis asked the boys to please sit. He told them that he had heard stories of some boys from out of town that had messed up one of the local boys. He has been following leads in the case but has not come up with anything as of yet. He asked the boys to do some checking on their own, do not try to entrap any one and then he explained what entrap meant, then said to report as much as possible to him as often as they heard anything, He then said that his daughter went to school with Jeremy and she thought the world of him as did many other students, So he will do whatever he can to get to the bottom of this case.
Heath stood up and extended his hand to Officer Willis and said that he was sorry about the earlier outburst and to please forgive him.

Tim looked at Heath and then turned to Officer Willis and said we will do everything we can to make sure that he get what he deserves.
Officer Willis said I believe that you will and it will be a pleasure to work with you two. He handed each of them one of his cards and wrote his private number on the back, he said anything that you find out no matter how small you think it is write it down, I will need the date and time you heard it and from whom. This may take a while but I don't want you to guit on me. We are a team and we both can help each other.
Tim and Heath said that he could rely on them and they would do whatever they can to get some information with that they stood up and shook hand and left the police department.
Heath asked if Tim was hungry and if he wanted to stop to get something to eat. Heath looked at the time and saw that it was already 3:30 in the afternoon.
Tim said " it is rather late for lunch maybe we should just wait for dinner "

While they were driving home Tim saw one of Sterling's friends. He said I am going to drop you off and come back and get you after I talk to him. Heath got out of the car and Tim turned around and headed back to talk with Sterling's friend.
Heath was eagerly waiting for Tim to get back, he walked up and down the street and paced back and forth. I looked at his watch and noticed that it was nearly 5:00 when he saw Tim coming down the street.
Tim stopped and Heath got in and Tim said that was really good luck. I will tell you when we get home and you can write it down while I tell you.
The boys got home and mom was a little upset that they were late and did not leave a note as to where they were going or when they would be back.
Tim looked at Heath with the look that he would explain. Tim told mom that they had gone down to the police station and talked with Officer Willis and made a formal complaint against Sterling and that that had taken much longer than they had planned.
Mom looked a little more relaxed and then said you could have called. Don't let this happen again.
The boys ate dinner cleaned up the kitchen and then told mom and dad that they were going upstairs and play some games and other stuff. They headed up stairs and when they got up there they went into the room and closed the door.
Tim started by telling Heath to write this down. Sterling's friend's
name was Michael Worth and when Tim had said that he had heard what Sterling and his friends did to Jeremy Roberts and that it must have taken some time to plan all that out ahead of time. Michael said no not really that they had set it up the day before and when he had heard what Sterling was planning that Michael wanted nothing to do with it. He said that Michael told him that Jeremy had never done anything bad to anyone and that he was not going to go along with it and backed out. He did however tell me who all were involved. First we know that there was Sterling, then there was Pete and Andy Johnson, Joe Thomas, Michael Wilson, Thomas Knott, Terry Miller and Jake Callahan, there were several others but he could not remember them all.
Heath took out his cell phone and called Officer Willis and when he answered he told him that he had some information for him and to get a pen and paper. He relayed all the information to him and said that if he found out any more he would let him know. He said good night and hung up.
Tim said " I am sorry for leaving you standing there so long this afternoon. "
Heath said for what you were able top find out I would have gladly stood there for 24 hours.
They were both fairly tired after their long and very profitable day and they just laid down on the bed. they were talk back and forth about all the guys that were involved and Heath said that he knew most of them and they all seemed to be be really nice guys.

Heath said You have to go through all of Jeremy's things to see what you want and then we will give the rest away. You will need anything again I promise the worst thing that could happen is that you would out grow these cloths and would have nothing to wear. Then you would have to stay in this room and would be naked all the time and then I would be able to have my way with any time I wanted.
Tim smiled and said " thanks But you can have your way with me anytime " Then he asked if he could use Jeremy's car because he had an errand to run.
Heath said that mom and dad Had decided thatsince Jeremy was gone that they would put the car in your name.
Tim's eyes started to well with tears. He said that Jeremy would be apart of him always. He then turned and left the room and headed out to the car. he got in and drove away. Tim was gone for several hours and when he got back Heath did not notice him come in. He went upstairs and caught Heath in a very private moment he was talking to Jeremy and asking him to watch over Tim and guide in the right things to do. Tim cleared his throat and then entered the room and said I got you something for Christmas. I wanted to give it to you when we were alone. Tim said " If there was anything that I needed to do this was it "
Heath opened the package and was moved to tears and he saw the most beautiful picture of Jeremy, He placed the picture on the bed and walked over to Tim and said " I will never forget this , this is is far and away the most perfect gift I could have gotten, and to get this from you means more than I could ever put into words.
Tim said " you don't have to the look on your face was with everything to me "
The boys sat upstairs and went through Jeremy's things and Tim was so happy to be able to use some of his thing and said That he would keep some of these and would never wear them as a tribute to Jeremy. The were putting things in boxes and putting things in the closet and rehanging some cloths and before they knew it mom and dad were home and they want to go out for dinner. Heath asked Tim to stay in the bedroom while he went down and talked to mom and dad. He came up several minutes later and said " Well I have goo news and bad news. The good news is that mom and dad want you to go to dinner with us. The bad news is that I am afraid that you will be stuck sleeping with me for as long as we stay here together.
Tim hugged Heath and said " Thank you so much for everything. "

Tim was very moved and his eyes welled up with tears and mom sadi THat those tears be because you are happy or I will have to have Heath spank you later, That got an outburst of laugher from everyong and Tim was beginning to feel that he was really beginning to belong.
They went home after leaving the restaurant and it was almost 9:00 when they got home.
Heath told mom and dad good night as well as Tim did and the boys headed upstairs to fisish that business frm earlier that evening.
