They boys finished eating and cleand up the kitchen. Tim was a little nervous obout going into the family room and watching everyone open thier gifts. Heath and Tim entered the family room and where surprised to see gifts piled all over. Mom said that it was customary for one of the family members to pass out the difts for everyone. Tim said " I have not been here all that long. " I would rather have Heath do the honors.
Heath stood and asked mom and dad to excuse him and Tim for a moment. Tim walked over to the Christmas tree and knelt down and took one of the gifts out from under the tree. He looked at it and read the name. It said to Tim from MOM and DAD. Tim turned and looked at them and his eyes started to +well up with tears and he stood and said " excuse me " he ran out of the room and upstairs and went in the room and closed the door behind him. He went over and laid down on the bed and started to cry.
Mom said " heath you go and comfort him this must be very difficult for him, maybe we are just pushing him to hard to welcome him into the family. "
Heath went up stairs and knocked on the door and waited for Tim to say come in. he went in and walked over to the bed and laid down next to him. He pulled Tim close and held him tightly. He said " Tim mom and dad want you to feel at home here. " They did not mean to upset you or try to force you into anything. Thay just want you to feel like one of the family.
Tim said " I know, but this is more feelings than I have had in a long time. " Christmas at my old home was nothing like this. We never did much as a family. I am not in anyway unhappy with the situation here on the contrary I am so happy that I just can not seem to cope with all of it at one time. Tim stood after Heath was done handing out the gifts and asked for everyones attention. They all opened thier gifts and everyone was having a good time. They were going out to have dinner and they would be back rather late because they had to stop at Heath's grandmothers before coming home. They all got dressed and mom and dad were waiting downstairs for Heath and Tim.

Heath passed out all the gifts and Tim was again amazed that he had gotten so many they open them all and Tim was starting to feel more at home and he stood up walked over and kissed grandma on the cheek and said " Thank you very much I am just so happy. "
They all talked for a while and then Mom and Dad said that it was time for them to head home.
Grandma said Goodnoght to everyone and said That she would see them soon
They all went out and got in the car and started back home. Heath, mom and dad knew that when grandma said that she would see them soon that it was familt tradition that she came over for dinner the following evening. Tim on the other hand had no idea. They arrived home and carried everything into the house and Tim was putting things away and was told by mom that she would take care of all that in the morning and that the boys had better go up and go to bed.
Heath kissed mom goodnight and hugged dad and was upstairs in a matter of moments.
Tim walked over and kissed mom on the cheek and said " thank you for everything you have made me very happy. " Then he walked over and asked dad would it be OK if I gave you a hug sir. He smiled and pulled Tim into a hug and said " Good night My son " Tim looked at him and was overjoyed and smiled and said " Good night DAD. He walked very slowly upstairs but he was feeling better than he had in a very long time. He opened the bedroom door and turned and close it and when he turned around again he saw Heath on the bed with out a bit of clothiong on. He smiled and said I will sleep that way to if you want.
Heath waved him over and patted the bed. He said " get then cloths off I have a present for you. "
