Chapter 7: Diapers All Around!

Craig:

Charley walked over to Benny's bed and seemed to be making sure he was comfortable. "Benny, these are the boys that I told you about." she said softly to her son. She then introduced Benny to us. "Boys, this is my son Benny."

Even in the gloomy darkness of the room, I could easily see that Benny was smiling at us. That smile seemed to radiate a light of its own. I returned his smile and crossed the threshold of his room. I walked over to his bed where Charley was still standing. Randy followed me after a brief pause.

As I looked at Benny, I once again found it hard to believe that he was 13 years old. He was smaller than Randy and somewhere between Mark and me in size.

"Hi, my name is Craig." I introduced myself to Benny. "I live across the street." I added.

I then gave Randy a chance to introduce himself but when he didn't say anything, I jabbed him in the ribs. This got his attention.

"Hey! What did you do that for?" Randy complained loudly.

"Introduce yourself!" I told him while hoping that wouldn't knock my block off.

Charley gave me a look that mothers gave when they disapprove of horseplay.

"Oh!" Randy said dumbfounded. "My name is Randy." Then trying to be funny, he added, "I'm the cool one!" He smiled as he said this.

I gave Randy a look. "Keep it up funny man."

Benny started laughing his head off. I guess his laughter was contagious as everyone in the room started to laugh. Even his mom, Charley.

Once the laughter died down, Benny asked his mom if we could talk for a while. I was sure it was his kind way of asking her to leave his room.

Charley seemed to hesitate at first; as if she wasn't too sure about this idea. I guess she was afraid we might hurt her son. In the end though, she gave her son a kiss on his cheek and left us alone. I did notice that she left the door open. I assumed this was to make sure she could hear if a problem arose in her son's room.

Now alone, an awkward silence filled the room. It was as if no one wanted to be the first to speak and was waiting for someone else to say something. In the end it was Randy who finally broke the silence. "So, why is it so dark in your room?" He asked.

"Oh... That's because my skin is ultra-sensitive to the light and too much exposure to certain rays can damage it. So my mom makes sure to keep as much of the light out of my room. Because of this, I sleep in the daytime and when I feel better, I go outside when it is dark." Benny explained to us. "If you want, you can turn on my overhead light. Mom had that off to let me rest."

As I went and turned on the overhead light, Randy continued his conversation with Benny.

"Wow..." He started to say. "So how do you go to school?" He asked him.

"My Mom homeschools me." Benny said simply.

I had heard of other kids being homeschooled before so this wasn't new for me. Instead of caring about his schooling, I found myself far more interested in his sickness.

"Is that skin disease contagious or anything?" I asked half out of concern for myself and the other half, just plain curiosity.

"Oh no, you guys can't catch it from me. It is something you are born with." He tried to calm our fears. "You see, I have this rare childhood disease, don't ask me to try and say it, as I can't. Anyway, this disease causes my skin problem and also my other health problems." He then told us some of his other problems.

Suffice it to say, he had a lot of medical issues. Not only did he have problems with sunlight, he also had problems with his blood and Kidney. Yes I said Kidney and not Kidneys. It turns out that Benny's doctor had to remove one of his Kidneys as it might have killed him if he didn't remove it. His remaining kidney was starting to have problems now as well. So far they have managed to treat it but it occasionally gave him some issues. In fact, it was the reason that he was currently bedridden.

"So, when do you think you can get out of bed and `hang out' ?" I asked the older boy, emphasizing the words `hang out '. I had decided not to say play as I didn't want to sound like a baby to Benny.

"Hopefully maybe sometime later today!" He sighed hopefully.

"Cool!" Randy and I said at the same time.

"Jinx!" Benny shouted out at the both of us. "Now neither of you can say anything, unless someone says your name." Benny giggled.

He of course had us over a barrel and according to the rules, we could not say a thing until someone said our names. The jinx though didn't last long as Charley, who had heard her son yelling, came down the hall to find out what it was about. When she entered the room, she was confused as she looked at her son's smiling face and our frustrated ones.

"Craig... Randy... Is there something wrong?" She asked.

"Oh Mom!" Benny whined. "You weren't supposed to say their names!"

Of course both Randy and I were smiling for being released so quickly from our jinx.

"You boys aren't fighting are you?" Charley asked as she still didn't understand what was going on.

"Mom, we're fine! No one was fighting!" Benny whined again.

Charley gave us a look of warning and then once again left us alone in the room.

"I am sorry guys; my mom can get overly protective at times." He tried to explain after his mom once again left us alone.

To be honest, I knew what he meant as my own mom at times could get way over protective. According to her, we were now living in a dangerous world where we have to constantly look out for those who would do us harm. Of course, Mark's disappearance only went to prove her point. Thinking about Mark made me feel awful. Somehow, I pushed these thoughts away for the time being.

"So are you really 13?" Randy asked Benny.

"Yeah I know, no one can believe I am 13! Most people that see me think I am 10 or younger."

"Craig and I are 11. I hope that you are okay with being friends with younger kids?"

"That is okay! It is great to just have friends and it isn't like you're that much younger than I am." Benny said matter-of-factly. "So, what do you guys like to do?" He added; changing the subject.

"Oh... You know... Play video games, ride our bikes, watch T.V., play on the computer, and just hanging out." I told Benny and Randy just nodded in agreement.

"We have another friend named Mark who is missing." Randy added.

This of course led to questions and Randy and I explained to Benny all we knew about Mark's kidnapping so far. When we told him about the `Blue Eyeball Killer', he was shocked at the thought of someone so heinous out there, kidnapping and killing kids.

We had been talking for a while, when suddenly a muffled wet fart was heard and Benny got this weird look on his face. A moment later, a very familiar smell filled the room. Benny looked at both Randy and I. We of course knew he just pooped himself. His face turned bright red from embarrassment. Then his upper lip started to tremble and tears filled his eyes as he began to cry.

Feeling real bad for Benny, as I knew how he was feeling, I decided to try and make him feel better by showing him my diaper.

"Benny, please don't cry!" I pleaded. "Trust me, you're not alone!" At this I pulled down my shorts and exposed my diaper. Randy also decided to do the same and this seemed to surprise Benny.

"You both really wear diapers?" He asked and sniffled a little as he wiped the wetness from his eyes.

"Yeah, I wear them pretty much all the time for pooping and peeing." I admitted. It was also very obvious that my diaper was wet as it was bloated and had a yellow tint to the front of it.

Randy's diaper was probably even more bloated than my own but so far, neither of us pooped. Well, Randy still refuses to try this but who knows, maybe someday he will try it.

Randy admitted that he didn't really need them but did enjoy wearing and using them from time to time. I also admitted to Benny that I too liked to wear diapers as well. This of course led to many questions from Benny about why we both liked to wear and use diapers.

Finally feeling better and no longer embarrassed, Benny pulled his blankets off of him and exposed his small frame in nothing but a very wet and soiled diaper. He explained that he has always had problems with his bladder and bowels. Then, as if he was afraid his mom might hear, he whispered that he too liked his diapers.

"I can't believe it! I thought I was the only one in the world who likes to wear diapers!" He whispered. "I thought I was some sicko because of it!" Benny added.

For the next little while, we talked about things like Diaper lovers and AB's and TB's. Eventually Charley came in and told us that Benny needed to take a nap. As she ushered me and Randy out of Benny's room he asked us something.

"You guys want to hang out later today. If I can go outside, you can show me the neighborhood." Benny suggested.

I had just enough time to tell Benny that I would ask, before Charley shut her son's door. She then ushered us out to her living room and to the front door.

"What time will Benny be allowed to come outside?" I asked Charley before leaving.

"If he can come out, it will probably be around 9pm. It would be nice if you can spend a few hours with him as he usually doesn't have anyone to play with."

"We will ask my parents." As I said this, Randy nodded his agreement.

We then both said goodbye before heading back across the street to my house. We were already planning what we were going to do later that evening with Benny!
