TO BE A BROTHER

Chapter X

Not All Prospectives Make It

Jim adjusted to college life very quickly. Of course Tom's tutelage helped.

Jim's roommate was a lad from New Mexico, pleasant enough but totally straight. Pre Med. Very serious about his studies. They didn't have a whole lot in common. Because of Tom Jim tended to associate mostly with sophomores anyway. Tom had introduced him to a couple of guys who also liked to mess around.

Time soon came for the Libra Convocation. Jim and Tom arrived at the Olympic about two. This time they were in the room across from Reg. They learned that another prospect was being introduced by Bob Galbraith, one of the members from Denver. They would be staying in the room next to Reg.

This time there were thirty-three brothers in attendance, more than usual, so almost all rooms had two occupants. That wouldn't dampen the action, however.

Tom and Jim went up to the penthouse straight away. There were already several guys there that Jim hadn't met; so they were introduced, and Jim again became the subject of the usual questioning. Having been through the routine at the Spring meeting, he was totally relaxed and performed well.

This time Tom didn't have to make excuses when he paired off and went downstairs.

Reg came up with Bob and his prospective, a boy Jim's age. He was not really all that handsome, although he had a good build and fine, wavy dark red hair. As he was introduced around and quizzed, Jim learned that his name was Baxter Benefield, that he was from Colorado Springs, where his father was a senior Air Force Officer and a faculty member at the Air Force Academy.

Baxter seemed a bit loud and his language a bit coarse. Good thing there were no ladies present.

Reg took Jim aside and said that he had some questions to ask him downstairs. Jim now had no illusions about what their real purpose in going to the twelfth floor was.

"Damn, it's good to see you again, Jim," Reg said. "I've been thinking about you ever since Belmont." He gave Jim a good feel. "I've just got to taste that for now. I want to get with you and Tom later tonight."

It was quick and passionate. They returned to the penthouse, where more and more brothers were showing up. Jim was greeted fondly by those who had met him in the Spring and was well met by those who had not known him before.

Tom finally returned and chatted with Baxter and Bob, while Jim went to the bar and brought him and Tom fresh drinks. Tom asked Baxter if he had any interest in the Air Force.

"Fuck no!" Baxter answered. "It's not so bad now that you can be openly gay. But still, I'm not cut out for that military shit."

Tom continued to work the room, while Bob and another brother wandered off.

"All these guys are going off someplace to fuck, aint they?" Baxter asked Jim.

"Why d'ya say that?" Jim replied.

"Well, back home the only thing Bob and John Banner want to do with me is have sex. They wouldn't have invited me here if fucking wasn't involved."

Jim thought back to the Aries Convocation and thought that he must have really been a slow learner. "Not my place to say," he responded.

"You're a hot motherfucker," Baxter continued. "Wanna get together?"

Fortunately, Jim was saved from having to answer by the arrival of Victor.

"Hi, Jim," Victor said as he extended his hand. "Fancy meeting you here. And who is this?"

"Victor Scanlon, meet Baxter..." Jim began.

"Benefield," Baxter haughtily supplied the missing last name.

"Baxter's another prospective," Jim concluded.

"Good to meet you, Baxter. Do they call you `Bax'?"

"No. Just `asshole' mostly."

By the time the gong was rung for dinner Jim had chatted with every brother present. Dale Carson, a lawyer who had admired him in the Spring, asked Jim to sit with him. "I was with Bob earlier," he said, "and he told me that he finally did it."

The evening progressed exactly as it had at Aries. The group goggled at the sexy, bare-chested bartenders. Brothers wandered in and out, but mostly just renewed acquaintances. Dale and Jim did get together. He and Tom went to their room about eleven.

There was a knock on their door about two. Tom let a naked Reg in.

"Don't you ever sleep?" Tom asked.

"Not much during convocations."

Reg immediately took Tom into his arms and gently massaged his whole body. They moved to the bed, where Jim was waiting. There followed an orgy of kissing and licking, of tasting dick, of fingering assholes.

"You guys are the sexiest," Reg murmured.

"Yeah. I bet you say that to all the boys," Tom panted.

Reg reached for Jim's dick and planted it at the entrance to his tail. "Fuck me, dude," he ordered.

Jim impaled Reg's ass in one thrust, while Reg's mouth closed around Tom's stiff pole. Jim's butt pounded and Reg's head bobbed in unison, as the two best friends satisfied their need to get wads of cum in two orifices at once. They exploded almost simultaneously, rolled over, and the three of them came down together, Reg sharing the residue of Tom's ejaculate by kissing the others.

Reg was still fingering Jim's softened dick, when he asked, "So what did you think of the Benefield kid?"

"Wasn't impressed," Tom answered.

"He offered to get with me," Jim volunteered.

"Well, if you want to fuck him, do it tomorrow," Reg responded. "That's the last time you'll see him around here. I haven't talked to a single brother, besides Bob, who's had a good word to say about him.

"Being crude in private is one thing, but not in front of the whole group. And the brothers think he's not all that good looking either."

"Speaking of being crude, I need to suck your motherfucking cock, bro," Tom said. "I need some Pirie cum."

Morning came. Jim and Tom appeared with about twenty-five others for breakfast. Reg was absent. Tom told Jim he was probably finally getting some sleep. Theirs was not the last room he had visited.

Dale Carson had evidently spread the word about Jim's availability. He didn't get to go to the lecture on how the international crisis in the South China Sea might be resolved. He was too busy accepting invitations to be bedded. By noon he had one sore ass. But he was glad he was being appreciated.

He and Tom were again excluded from the business meeting. But towards its end they were summoned to the penthouse. Magnums of Champagne had been brought out and each brother had filled a flute and were waiting.

When Jim and Tom entered, they were also handed filled glasses. "Gentlemen, it is my pleasure," Reg said, "to introduce our newest brother, Bro Jim Sessions!"

"To Brother Jim!" They all raised their glasses and quaffed the contents.

Some of the brothers began to refill glasses. Reg turned to his newest brother. "Jim?"

Jim looked out at the group of smiling faces. "Well," he began, "I've gotta say that last time I sure didn't know what I was getting into. And it took forever for me to realize what was going on. But I'm sure glad I finally did."

There was much laughter and applause.

"Enough said," Reg announced.

"Elder Reg." It was the voice of John Banner. "May I say one thing before we adjourn?"

"Certainly."

"Although my good friend and colleague, Bob, was the one who proposed Baxter Benefield, I was equally a party to the decision to do so. And I think I speak for him as well as myself, when I say that we want to apologize for our poor judgment.

"It was apparent from the first moment that he was not suited to be a brother.

"And I'd like to commend Brother Tom for his good judgment in seeing in Brother Jim the sort of young man that we can all say we are proud to call `bro.'"

Again much applause.

The group dispersed to get dressed for the banquet.

During the cocktail hour Jim and Tom were the center of attention. Word had gotten around that they were both at Midwestern, so there were good wishes about that. The brothers who had already been with Jim congratulated him on his prowess.

Baxter and Bob were not present. Tom learned that Bob had decided to fly back to Colorado early.

Craig Pirie did arrive in time for the banquet. He had a short meeting with Jim to tell him how pleased he was that Jim had accepted the scholarship.

After the banquet Tom suggested that he and Jim operate as a team in consideration of Jim's sore ass. They partied until well after two.
