Disclaimer

If you are under 18 or not of legal age in your country, please do not read on. If you couldn't accept themes of homosexuality and the like, please don't read on. This is a story concerning gay males having intimate relationships and is considered FOR ADULTS ONLY due to its sexual theme and contents. BUT if you really like this stuff, please don't tell others.

Everything in this story is purely FICTIONAL. Or in simpler terms, it's not true!!! Even if this story involves NSYNC, a real, successful American singing group, and a fictitious character, all that happens in here is fictional... again, it's not true. If there are instances that it is similar to what happened in the real world, it doesn't mean that it's really true. I don't know anything about their sexuality, as far as the I and the world know, they're straight as an arrow so I dunno if they're gay (but I do have my speculations) or not but I wrote this out of freedom of speech and my love for these guys and slash fiction. I don't own or know NSYNC personally. AGAIN, it's NOT TRUE!!! but don't we all hope that it's true... hehehehe...

First Words

Hi guys. This is my 3rd work here in the boyband section of the Nifty Archives. I dunno why I called it "What I See" but I just ran out of ideas for a title and thought of something simple. So the title, What I See was born giggle. I dunno if I can manage my 3 stories at the same time but Crossed Paths is in its "season break" and Reformation is still there. But I'll really try my best to update all my stories. Remember, I love feedbacks.

What I See Chapter 22 ------------------------

The club that Ken brought me in was really amazing. What more could I expect from Ken? Of course, the best. But the exciting factor of the night was the fact that there were so many guys hitting on me. I was shocked myself. Ken was just hovering over me like my over-protective boyfriend. "Let them drool." He told me with a smile. They would hit on me and I would just smile at them and then Ken would grab my hand we would walk away to another part of the club.

It was actually a nice feeling. I felt that I was really wanted. I felt sexy. I felt gorgeous and I haven't felt this feeling. Maybe it was an ego trip for me but this was what I needed at that moment. It's like I could live on my own without anybody. I felt so confident and so at ease with myself. I actually felt like being Ken at that moment. No qualms. No worries. Just pure pleasure.

I didn't know the time when we took a seat on one of the booths there but who was checking anyway. "Want another drink?" Ken asked me. I just nodded enthusiastically. Yeah, Ken was trying to make me drunk and I wanted it. "I'll be back." He told me and he went to the bar to get our drinks.

Just after a few seconds since Ken left, a guy sat on Ken's chair. He was in his mid-20s but I could be wrong there but I was sure that he was very handsome. He has brown hair and brown eyes that was so adorable. "Hi." He said to me.

"Hello." I answered with a smile.

"You alone tonight?" He asked me.

"Nope. I'm with that guy." I pointed Ken who just waved at me and sent me a flying kiss.

The guy's smile faltered. "He's lucky to have you." And then he left me sitting alone there. My smile was just something that couldn't be erased from my face at that moment.

"Another guy, huh?" Ken asked when he returned.

"Yeah." I answered with a sheepish grin and drank the glass of whatever drink Ken bought. Ken settled on a coke because he was driving and I was just too drunk to do anything this night.

I felt my cell phone vibrate. I pulled it out and read the screen. Justin. "Hey Jus!" I answered in a shout. The sounds were too loud.

"Hey Kyle." He said. "You in a party or something?" He asked.

"You can say that." I giggled. "How was the concert? You guys surely kicked some ass out there." I guessed that it was the alcohol that was doing the talking at that point. I was just too happy or enthusiastic for my normal self. But like I said, it was a good feeling.

"Yeah we did. The crowd was amazing." He said and I could picture him with doing his million dollar smile.

"Always nice to hear!" I said. "So, what's up?"

"Are you alright Kyle? You don't sound yourself." Justin questioned. He finally caught on.

"Everything is perfect. I'm just having a little fun here." I replied. Ken was just looking at me amused.

"Okay, I'll be blunt now. Are you and Josh okay?" He asked.

"Josh and me? Well, I don't think there's still a Josh and me." I told him casually. "Hey Just, I don't wanna talk about JC anymore, okay? I'm sick and tired of it." I said trying to close the subject.

"Er, okay." He replied uncomfortably. "I just missed you, man." I don't know if it's because I was drunk or what but I was feeling tingly when he said that he missed me.

"Missed you too!" I cooed. Ken raised his eyebrow. I just grinned at him. "Hey Jus, me and my friend are gonna hit the floor. Can we just talk later?" I asked. I was getting bored already of just sitting down and the extra-attention that Ken was giving me wasn't really a nice one to have. He's a nosy ass who knows it and he knows how to use it.

"Er, sure. Just call me on my cell." He answered.

"Okay! Bye! Mwah!" I said and ended the call. "That was fun." I giggled.

"Flirting with Mister Timberlake I see." Ken said amusedly.

"Forget about him! Let's dance!" I said and pulled him off his seat and walked in the sea of people on the dance floor. I was drowning with all the intense feelings that I had. It was utter bliss. Everything in my world seemed to fall into place as I danced with Ken and while a lot of other guys were trying to dance with me. The last count that I had was five but who's counting anyway.

I already forgot about this feeling. I guessed that I changed while Ken remained the same. We were usually like this when we were in college. Happy-go-lucky, party-goers. I was a little bit subdued compared to Ken but when I wanted to party, I really have fun until everyone was tired of me. But that was college. This was a few years after when I thought that I grew up and enjoyed the contentment of adulthood with the individual responsibilities. Maybe I'm wrong. Or maybe it's just too much alcohol intoxication.

"Having fun?" Ken whispered to me as he grinded with me.

"Definitely!" I answered and the made Ken smile wider. That was the last thing that I could remember. Everything became hazy after that. The lights, noise and different hands seemed to have blended together and I couldn't distinguish one from another. It was like a memory lapse especially when I woke up with a splitting head ache.

I tried to open my eyes and see where on earth I was. I was back in Ken's house. I was in Ken's guestroom. I guessed that we came back safely and with no one in tow. I slowly sat up trying to piece together anything that had transpired last night. I just had loads of fun last night and I couldn't remember the whole of it. I could remember bits of it like drinking loads of alcohol and the dancing as well. But it was so surreal. It was like I was in a dream. Maybe it was a dream after all.

I stood up. "Whoa!" I interjected. Last night was definitely not a dream. This bitching hangover was the proof. I tried to steady myself as I slowly walked outside of the room to look for Ken. "Ken!" I hollered.

"Too loud." I heard Ken groan from his room. I walked inside his room and found him rubbing his head. "Just woke up?" He asked. Gosh, he looked so cute there. He was naked and only the blanket was covering the lower part of his body. And his expression was just so childish.

"I thought you said you wouldn't drink too much last night?" I asked and sat down beside him.

"I didn't." He said as he tried to sit up. "Remember about low tolerance?" Figures. Ken has this low tolerance to alcohol that if he just drinks a few ones, he will get tipsy already and a bad hangover in the morning.

"I guess it's just bedtime for today." I told him. And he groaned in approval. I inched closer to him and laid my body beside him. "Okay, I want sleep." I said as I nuzzled closer to him. Ken spooned me and we fell asleep once again with a lingering thought in my mind. I missed JC and Ken wasn't a good substitute.

Again, time was absent in my world and probably Ken's as well. Only the irritating sound of my cell phone broke that. "Let your voicemail answer it." Ken said as he wrapped his arms around me. I relented and slept once again. The third time I woke up, the sun was low. I guessed that we slept through the day and my full bladder was screaming for release. I tried to release myself from Ken's hold and I didn't care if he would wake up or not. I really needed to pee.

Once released, I raced to the bathroom and relieved myself with a sigh. After I was done with my business, I walked back to Ken's bed and he was sitting on the edge of the bed scratching his head. His hair was sticking up in all direction. It made him more innocent; his innate charm to the guys. "Good afternoon." I greeted with a smile. He just waved his hand and stood up walking to my direction.

"Bathroom." He grumbled and walked pass me. I walked out of his room to the kitchen to fix a meal or something because I was really hungry and I knew that Ken must be pretty hungry as well. He has a bigger appetite compared to mine. I opened the refrigerator, and found some chicken wings. Fried chicken wings. I pulled them out and let it defrost before I fried it. "I'm hungry." Ken said as he walked in the kitchen and sat on one of the chairs.

"I'm cooking fried chicken wings." I told him at which he nodded.

"I'm making mashed potatoes then." He stated and walked to the ref where he retrieved one of those packed mashed potatoes. I was hoping that he would somehow make it from scratch but the packed ones were good as well. "You enjoyed last night?" Ken inquired.

"I think so. I can't remember everything. Just bits of images." I told him.

"Well, from what I saw last night, you were totally having fun and also the eye catcher of the night." Ken said. All I did was blush. Ken and I talked more about the basic things in life until we finished eating our meal. It was back in college days where we did everything together. We really just compliment each other and I'm always thankful for finding Ken "I'm taking a shower!" He said after we cleared the table up and placed the plates in the dishwasher.

"I have to see who called me earlier. You go ahead." I said as I followed him upstairs. My mind was racing on who would call me. I was thinking that it must be Justin but wishfully, I was hoping that it was JC. Ugh. I'm back to thoughts of JC once again. I have to live with that one.

My cell phone was laid on the counter beside my bed. And on the screen, it displayed that I have a few missed calls. Three to be exact. I dialed my voicemail to see who called me.

"Hey Kyle! Justin here. I guess you finally forgot all about me. Ouch! I think you chipped off a part of my ego here." He laughed after that and I couldn't help not to smile as well. "Anyway, it's cool though that you're partying and having fun! I think it's the first time I ever heard of such thing." He laughed once again. Am I that boring? "Just stay safe." The message ended with that.

"Kyle, it's me again! It's already 11:00am and you're still not answering you phone. It's just you are one, so drunk last night that you are not awake yet. Two, you found someone and had wild kinky sex. Three, you got mugged and your phone was stolen and you're in the garbage right now bleeding to death. But from what I heard from you last night, I'll take choice number one. Call me okay." Justin said.

The third one was just silence. But I could hear heavy breathing. My heart was beating a little bit faster than normal. Was it JC? "Kyle." It was JC. Only JC possessed such a great voice. "I overheard from Justin that you went out last night. Of course he didn't tell me but I just eavesdropped on that one." He chuckled. "I think we need to talk. We didn't settle anything the last time we talked. So, please call me." JC's voice seemed to be in pain. And when I hear him in this tone, I just have this urge to wrap him with a tight embrace. Ah, love.

I pressed JC's number and let it rang. "JC here." JC answered the phone. My heart was racing already at that point. I couldn't talk. "Hello?" He asked.

"JC." I answered.

"Kyle!" JC exclaimed. I could hear shuffling from the other line. "Wait a minute." JC said and I heard more shuffling. What on earth was he doing? "Finally, much better. More privacy." Josh said.

"Um, you called?" I asked uncomfortably.

"Yeah. Can we talk?" He said.

"Sure." I answered. I sat on my bed trying to settle my nerves.

"About the last time we talked. I'm sorry about that. I knew that you looked at it that I don't want you anymore but the truth is that I missed you so much it hurts." He told me. "I was uncomfortable because I didn't know how to apologize to you. You were right, I was selfish. I didn't take into consideration that you have your own life to live. All I thought at that moment was that I was fucking up in tour and I needed you. Sorry about that." Josh was crying already at that moment. And I couldn't help not to shed tears as well, but my tears were there because I was happy. JC and I seemed to be okay.

"Josh, I need you too. I was so hurt last night because I thought that you don't want me anymore. I thought that I lost my only chance to live a happy life with my soul mate because of my pride and principles. It was rather stupid of me. And I realized that." I told him.

"No, you were right. I shouldn't have called Jive to offer you that job. If someone would do that to me, I'll be angry with that person as well. I guess that it's too late for me to realize that." JC cried. "I just hope that you'll find it in your heart to forgive me and take me back."

"Of course Josh. I love you will all my heart. I can give up everything just to be with you." I answered. I could feel the butterflies invade my stomach. It was a great feeling.

"Do you really mean that?" He asked.

"Yes." I replied. "I don't know where I'll be without you. The last week was the worst in my life. And I hope that it won't happen again." I said.

"It's the worst for me as well. I've been drinking just to forget the guilt feeling." JC said like a child. "And sleeping was like hell because you're not there beside me."

"Don't worry. It will be a short wait and the next thing you'll know, I'm there." I tried to console him. But there was an idea already brewing in my mind. I smiled at the idea I came up. Surely, it would make us both happy.

"I want to talk to you more but duty calls. We're in Las Vegas now." He told me.

"Really? That's cool. Good luck!" I said.

"I love you." He told me passionately.

"I love you too." I replied. I smiled.

"I'm gonna ring you later, okay? Bye!" He said and hung up. I placed my cell phone back on the counter and walked out of the room where an almost naked Ken and I bumped into each other.

"Everything cool?" Ken asked. I just smiled at him.

"Everything is perfect." I answered and gave him a smile.

-------------------- End of Chapter

Finally, Chapter 22. Sorry for the delay. I thought that school won't take up my time but it did. I had a really hard time adjusting to it and a serious writer's block delayed all of this. sighs I hope that this chapter will make some of you happy because JC and Kyle finally fixed it up. It was getting long already and I want to stay away from my depressing phase in the story. But I'm brewing a nice plot that can get a little ugly.

So, for those lost in the timeline of my story. This is happening during the Celebrity tour. I try to make it coincide with venues and breaks so it can have a little bit grasp on reality still. Oh yeah, go vote for your favorite authors in the BBSA Awards! The nominees are very well-deserved. I had a hard time voting especially Alone Together and JC's Hitchhiker were leading it. Go vote!!! :-)

Thanks to ALL of you who have taken the time and MAILED me! I truly appreciate it very much. It's really nice to know if there are people who are actually reading what I write. A big big shout out to Danny and Chris!
