I woke to a beautiful Saturday morning and showered and dress in the VT Oakmont shirt that the Pro had given me and added light grey shorts and went to the kitchen and made coffee and looked at the paper and damn they had picked up the article from the Miami Herald and I knew Cole's life just changed for ever. I left the paper in the kitchen open to that article and drove to the club.

When I got there about 6:45 Alex was just getting out of the car. I was impressed with the outfit which was the latest style and I would say very coordinated down to the hat and shoes. We greeted each other and he was surprised by the hug. I asked do you want to ride or walk with a caddy? He said a caddy would be outstanding. I asked what his handicap was and he said well I don't play courses like this very often, mostly high end public courses but to answer you question a 6. Then he asked, is it possible to play the tournament tees. I said sure but understand they play fast around here, especially on weekend mornings. I checked in at the Pro Shop and asked if I could have the 2 newest caddies they had available and was told that they would meet me at the range and I got a bag of ball and took a cart to the range where I knew my clubs would be waiting.

As I approached the practice area I watched Alex hit a few balls from a distance and saw a very nice swing and a natural draw on his ball flight. I thought lessons and better than a 6. I went to the practice tee and hit a couple of wedges, a couple of mid irons and three drivers and sat in the cart. A few minutes later I saw two kids approaching and thought brothers. The taller of the two came up and said good morning Mr Simmons I am Joe and this is my brother Andy. I asked how long they had been cladding here and they both said that this is our first year and that basically they only got to fore caddy. They would be a Junior and a sophomore at the local high school. I said, look guys you see that guy over there hitting balls, well he is Alex. As for me, I am a full member and I hate the Mr. shit so I am Mike. Are you good with that? I sot a yes sir and I said, let's try that again? And I got sure Mike and I smiled and said that's better. Oh when we get to the halfway house you are not limited to a drink and a hot dog, get whatever you want.

Alex and I went to the putting green and I always watch when a guest hits the first putt. He laughed and said unbelievable. I found Andy and Joe and asked who has my bag and Joe smiled and said well I do Mike. Andy looked unhappy and I asked if lost the coin toss and he said well something like that. I sampled and said well how about we switch after 9. Joe shook his heady and Andy was smiling. I was thinking it was just Alex and I when two assistant Pros joined us asking if it was ok if they joined us. I said sure and introductions were made and we were on the tee a few minutes early, which was good. When I said we were playing the Pro tees they looked at each other and I said you guys go first, membership has it's privileges. They hit great drives and I had Alex hit next and he hit a great shot left side of the fairway. I hit a great drive about 5 yards past every one on the right side of the fairway. As we walked to our shots l said so if you think you are playing customer golf, I'll kick you ass. I'll give you 3 a side 10, 10 and 10. Je said well I'll need 4 with these greens. I looked and him and said, well they are the same for me but ok.

We went to our various locations and I approached Joe and asked what you got for me and he said 203. How do you know that he said from my yardage book and the very convenient sprinkler head. Well where do I hit it and he said anywhere on the green right of the hole? I asked what would happen if I hit it 5 yards short of the hole on the right side and he replied, I would think it would be on the front fringe. I asked for a 5 iron and he looked skeptical but gave me the club. This is one of my favorite holes as it appears to be straight forward, yet isn't. It's long and you can get an early reward. Alex hit first and he hit what should have been a great shot it hit right at the pin took one bounce and almost stopped and rolled slowly left picking up speed and ended up in ankle deep rough just right of the green pin high. I looked at Joe and said, talk with your bro. The Pros hit and one was on the green and one was in the rough with Alex. I hit the shot I wanted short right and I had it 6 feel to the right of the pin with a wicked putt. Well the hole ended with 3 bogies and my par. We finished a very relaxing round with me having fun teaching Joe about the course. After 9 the Pros were both -1 and I was +1 and Alec was +5 so we had tied. I was mildly interested in what the guys were going to eat at the turn and as it turned out the only addition was a bag of chips which they split.

The Pros checked in at the shop and were good to go for another nine. I went up to Andy and asked if he was ready? Mike, Joe said that you taught him a lot and that you really know the course. I'm not as good as him but I know the yardage and I can read these greens. On his very first hole with me I had an awful second shot and had a 15 foot putt for par which was interesting and I was looking at it and Andy was looking over my shoulder and he said well it's a number of parts and you have to hit is so it just reaches the top of the hill and then it will slowly break sharp left about three cups. I wasn't seeing that but decided to try it his way and I hit the putt and I thought it was way short and it hesitated at the top of the hill and then took a last half turn and and slowly picked up speed and fell into the hole, I don't think I missed a putt on the back and finished -3 and it was a fun round with the brothers. Alex paid the $20 he owed me and and I added 5 20's and said split that. They couldn't say thanks enough and I told them I would ask for them again.

So Alex you up for lunch and he smiled and said sure. I asked well lunch to be either on the patio or the dining room? He said patio but I would like a look inside. Inside the place is steeped in tradition and one could easily spend an hour there. We ran into Clark and introductions were made and I asked about wedding plans and he said moving nicely along. We were seated on the patio with a great view of the course and drink order were taken and as ordered iced tea, Alex did as well. I said dude, get a beer and he changed his order. I said Alex, I try to obey the rules here as there are many members here 4 times my age and I am an exception, so no alcohol, no men's grill and always polite. While we were waiting Clark appeared and asked if I would be available for a tournament meeting next Wednesday, early afternoon and I replied sure but would you please email me and I'll get it on my calendar. He said sure and the drinks came.

As I was looking at the menu Alex asked, so Mike when we going to talk about why I'm here today? This was amazing but while the golf was fun and casual I know there is at least one other reason. Before I could answer the waiter came and Alex ordered a club sandwich with chips and no fries and I ordered a chicken salad with Italian dressing. Once we were alone I said well Alex, it seems that every time I fuck up, it is with Standard Properties. First, it is structured poorly and that is definitely on me for not being clear and concise. Second, there were two awful hires, again on me. Alex, when you interviewed my gut said to hire you, you fit the company mold and my head got in the way. I hired Wayne for the experience and required him to hire you. Alex laughed and said that explains it, we were so unalike that I wondered. Mike, so did Wayne resign or did you fire him? I smiled and said he quit and in such a way I had him escorted out.

The food came and Alex asked so now what? Well lots of changes in Enterprises. I am thinking of eliminating the Architectural Firm as they are a drag on the organization and I will have no projects, well except for the winery thing, if that works out. We, well Technologies, will be moving into the new building and once there the various departments and divisions will be moving around and I want SP to manage all that, for a fee. The same will apply to building 2 as the build outs for tenants will be done by SP. Most likely I will be adding to the real estate portfolio by purchasing existing buildings. Negotiations for that space and leasing will be the responsibility of SP. You see right now Enterprises is in reality just collecting a lot of rent money and making a lot of money. That money is all sitting there waiting for the first sign that this slowdown is ending. Then I buy 2 or 3 properties.

I started to eat my salad and Alex said, so I fit into this how? Alex, my core team is young and nobody is over 26, they are smart, very competent, work their asses off and are well paid. You did a great job with the winery thing and there will be more of that. You will need to hire 2 then a third project/facility managers, develop a business plan and run the place. Alex, Enterprises owns both buildings currently under construction, you need to manage them. Understand, you run things and like I did with you and winery project, I get in the way and will not always share things with you. Those outside projects will never impact SP. There will be less sales and more management. Enterprises is a poorly conceived mess and I'm changing that. It will be an umbrella to house a lot of companies. Right now it is SP and the Law Group. So what do you think?

He took a drink of his beer and said well that's a lot to digest. I kept eating my salad and I looked at him and said well digest it till noon on Monday but I need an answer. He asked, compensation? I said salary 65. He thought for a minute and said 80? I responded with 70 and he laughed and said well 75 and it a deal. I said deal and fuck that was fun. Alex, the fucking business plan is important to me. He laughed and said well I am aware and will Wednesday work. I said yup and we finished lunch shook hands and went our separate ways.

At the car I debated about the roof and decided up and air conditioning. I arrived home about 12:45 and grabbed an iced tea and went to my room. Not wanting to bother the team I emailed Riley and cancelled the Monday updates and said from now on M - W -F would work. Tim's message asked for a Monday meeting first thing. I added those changes to the calendar, shut down the computer and went and sat outside. Before long dad was sitting beside me and asked so how was golf? I said a business meeting and he laughed and said, I figured as you need to replace that pompous ass, Wayne. Then he got serious and said, don't start micromanage Enterprises. I laughed and said well the reality there is nothing there to even manage. Anyone can deposit money. Then I said well the Architects will be gone and a new definition of responsibilities for SP. then hopefully the winery and Tim and I will start that Monday after I update the potential investors and figure out what the fuck you are up to. Dad, simply got up lit a cigarette and went inside.

I almost laughed out loud when Megan appeared. She said Mike, sorry to bother you but what does this mean for my 16 year old son? I laughed and said you mean the new Tour sensation? Mike that's not even remotely funny. Then I said if he finishes high enough he could be in next week. You ready to deal with that? I'm not involved. Look Megan when you are there you need to talk with some people and figure out some or the rules, I have no idea. Megan, I was wondering how to manage a state championship and now that's insignificant. Then I said Megan, I'll deal with the ego but you, Liam and his Pro have have the rest. Talk with Jim and we should be there early and I'm betting it's the prop. plane as I'm his co-pilot? She said Michael, I can't deal will all this. I laughed and said well it is just starting.

We went inside and she said order something good for dinner, I'm not cooking. I said I'll think about it and went to my room. I decided on Italian as I had had enough salads. Just then JJ called and said dude, we have a big problem. I said ok what's that? Well you can't be a Musketeer. I laughed and asked, why? Well after your make out session with the school slut last night she called you a fag. I found that hysterical land replied, damn all I wanted was a blow job in the parking lot. He laughed and said well that reinstates you. So MJ, the other chick Mary Ann, what did she say because if you get her into bed that will be a fucking miracle. I laughed and said rule 6. Mike, what's up with Cole? I said the Tour celebrity? JJ, I'm hoping he had a normal round today. He laughed and said well currently he is -10 and having the time of his life. They are covering him and researching for the last time 16 year old was on the Tour and double digits under par. Mike make that -11 as he just made a putt on 16. Mike he is 4 back. I hung up ran downstairs turned on the TV and yelled MEGAN GET IN HERE YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS. Cole had just hit his tee shot on 17 and the commentators were saying, he hasn't missed a fairway all day, this is unreal. Cole was walking along the galaxy ropes and poor Liam was forcing him to his ball. There was a slight paise as his playing partner hit and a brief discussion with Liam and Cole was handed a club and he shrugged, looked at the gallery and indicated, well if he says so. He stood behind the ball took a deep breath lined up and took one practice swing and hit a towering shot center of the green and it was a two put par. The 18 is a 468 yard par 4 with water completely down the left side. Cole was up first and did the routine and we heard what's he doing he is lined up to fade and he hasn't hit a fade all day. Cole swung and the announcer started to say well that's a problem and all of a sudden the place erupted as Cole's shot hit left side of the fairway and was the longest of the day. He hit 8 iron and his birdie putt lipped out and after the tap in he got a tremendous ovation.

Liam immediately went up to Cole put his arms around gave him a giant hug and whispered something. Cole waved and went immediately to the scoring area. He was signing autographs and shaking hands and asked for quiet while the group behind him finished and all of a sudden he was on TV being interviewed. He immediately said what a good job Liam does and how they are a team. He was asked about the tee shot on 18 and he said well I hit that shot before on #3 at Latrobe Country Club and they are still talking about it. I thought what the heck when it flew into my mind. No Liam didn't know as he might have broken the driver. There were a few questions and he managed a hi mom and said I'll see you here tomorrow and bring Mike. Then he said, thanks for the time but I have work to do on the range. Oh, I might have a surprise for you all tomorrow and he left signing autograph.

Megan was quiet for a while and I said well, I have an easy job his ego is fine. She looked and me and asked, who was that on TV saying hi mom? I said that pain in the ass who grew up in you living room. A minute later Megan's phone rang and she said hi babe, I just saw you on TV. Cole said I had to be good or Liam was keeping my phone. So are you and Mike flying down tonight or tomorrow morning. She said well I'm a nervous wreck as MJ is co-pilot. Cole laughed and said well keep Major Jim healthy. He said, well check the paper for my tee time and if you call Liam might answer, if he is in the mood. He said I love you and tell asshole to fly safe and he hung up. Megan was on the phone with Major Jim and I went to my room.

I was in my room trying to figure things out and my phone rang and it was Liam. I asked so how are things, really. Mike, we are both having a blast and while he carries on and plays with the gallery he is focused for that minute before he hits a shot. He play that game with the fans that the club selections are all me and yet he listens and has input. Although he was right about that shot on 18, it came out of nowhere, I would have broken the club. Three wood 5 iron was the smart play. Ok, just so your good and have the ego in check. Mike, you guys need to think about the rules he might qualify next week or get a sponsors exemption. I am sure the antics with the spectators will have sponsors lunging up. Oh he can get $300 for expenses. I said well, no money on this trip and on Monday, I'll check with Carole or AP. See you tomorrow,

I was getting ready for a shower Major Jim was on the phone. Mike, I'm sorry but we need to take the jet so are not in the right seat. I said totally understood and he said wheels up at 6:00. We will have 5 passengers on the way back and clubs. He replied Rodger that and hung up. No sooner than I put the phone down and QB? was on the line. I was still pissed at him and the number of unreturned calls, I simply let it go to voicemail. I almost made the shower and the went off again, I looked and saw it was Cole. I answered saying, MIKE'S CALL CENTER, HOW CAN I HELP? Cole burst out laughing. So celebrity, what's up? MJ I am having a blast and playing the best golf of my life. Cole, what's with the antics with the fans? MJ they pay to watch us play and need to be quiet. I can take a chance as I'm not on the Tour, but the spectators love it. Hell it relaxes me. MJ, I have a surprise tomorrow. Cole this is fun until it isn't. They will put up with it till they don't. Do you know the determining factor? Yes, as long as my game is driving events. Mike there was a break through last week but what sets me apart is I read greens like no one else. Mike, this week I am averaging 28 putts a round, that's tie for fewest putts. Cole, just have fun, play smart and be humble. Get some rest and I'll see you in the morning.

Finally it was a great shower and as I was not tired I started reading. I called JJ and he asked if I wanted company, I said fuck yes but it's an early flight tomorrow. MJ, I asked dad if I could come along, so I'll spend the night. He hung up and must have been in the driveway and before I thought about it JJ was sitting in a chair and I had a beer in my hand. JJ said don't bitch about the beer. You need to be there to support Cole or pick up the pieces and I need to be there to support you. I looked at him and said you have no idea how fucking glad I am that I hired your dad. I never dreamed he had a kid as fucked up as me. He got up and we kissed and before I knew it the door was locked, the lights were out and we were nude and making out like mad. I don't know how or why but he was filling my ass and I couldn't get enough. Damn that was hot but I needed more so I took his cock in my mouth and was sucking and licking his balls and he said, MJ don't waste it by shooting on the sheets and before I knew it I was on my back and he was riding my cock. I pulled him forward and we were kissing and I was sucking on his tongue. Before I was ready, I pushed him off flipped him around on his stomach and his ass over the edge of the bed and pounded his ass for as long as I could and finally collapsed on his back. Once my Dick slipped out of his ass, I went down and started to eat his ass and some of my load slipped out and we kissed falling asleep in each other's arms and I couldn't have been happier. At some point JJ woke and he whispered MJ what the fuck just happened? I was barely awake but said, I just think we made love, please don't over think it. Then I said, dude get up, I have to piss. He laughed and kissed me. While I was up, I set the alarm got back in bed and we kissed again and I said JJ, now we both have a musketeer problem. He said just get some rest we can talk tomorrow.
