Gay

Welcome to the first part of my new story. It's got drama, romance, and Nsync! Who could ask for more...well the Backstreet Boys would have been nice too, but oh well! Please send me your comments/questions/or proposals to leo1980@gay.com And please check out my website http://home.gay.com/leo1980

Disclaimer: Even though you probably guessed already...I don't know anyone in Nsync, and I don't pretend too. Even though I was once close enough to spit at them! But that's really beside the point. Well, anyway...this is just a story, and the only character that is truly representing anyone in the real world is Lee...who is me obviously. :-) Though Even at times I'll be out of character of my real self!

Through the Time Warp (My adventure with Nsync) Chapter 1

At the Nova Club:

"Wow the club is really jumping tonight! What do you think is going on?" I asked my friend.

"I don't know. I hope we can still get in. The line is really long." Jerry stated.

"Oh I know we will. Remember my cousin's the bouncer." I stated.

"Good, cause I really want to do some dancing tonight." Jerry said kind of grinding into my back.

"You better stop or I'll have to take you back to my place!" I joked.

"Don't tempt me!" Jerry responded playfully.

My name is Lee. I'm 21 and have lived in Alabama all my life. Big fun! I guess it could be worse though. I have been friends with Jerry for years now. We are just friends despite the fact that we are both gay. Jerry and I are both bottoms, and so it makes a sexual relationship seem rather silly. But we still loved to hang out, and go dancing occasionally. We didn't always go to the gay clubs, cause sometimes it was fun to go to the bigger clubs. Tonight we were going to the biggest club in town. And boy was it bouncing. I was a little nervous about getting mobbed, but I grabbed Jerry's hand and led him to the front of the line. I had better things to do than wait.

"Hey Frank." I said as I reached the entrance to the club.

"Hey man! What's up?" He asked.

"We wanted to get in to do a little dancing. Can you squeeze us in?" I asked.

"Sure, but if this group goes postal I'm going to through your ass on them." He joked.

We got a couple nasty stares, but we got in easy enough. Soon we were in the first room, and walked up the stares towards the dance floor. There was a Nsync song on when we got there. It was "Bye Bye Bye". And to our surprise there were five cute guys dancing to it. They were actually doing the moves from the video! Wow! I was kind of impressed. When the song died down I walked closer to them, and nearly passed out... IT WAS REALLY THEY! It was Nsync.

"OH MY GOD! I heard they were doing a two-night show here in town, but I never would have guessed they'd show up here! Wow! Let's see if we can get an autograph." Jerry suggested.

"Um...okay. Do you have a pen, or anything to be autographed..." I asked.

"NO! Darn, that really sucks. Well, maybe we can at least talk to them." Jerry said.

"Maybe, it's worth a shot." So we walked towards them.

Surprisingly enough we walked towards them, and they were actually quite friendly. I was confused as to how they could be here dancing without being mobbed.

"Didn't you notice the long line out there?" J.C. Stated.

"Yeah, we got the club to ourselves tonight; it's just us and some of our crew and dancers. Those people out there are trying to get in, but they can't. In about an hour we are going to give it back to them though." Lance explained.

"So how exactly did you two get in?" Chris asked us.

"My cousin is the bouncer. He let us in, oh.... I hope he doesn't get in trouble for it." I said after I had already spilled the beans.

"Don't worry about it man! We are glad to meet a couple fans. You are fans right?" Joey asked.

"Sure, we have tickets for your second show here!" Jerry jumped at the chance to say something to them.

"That's great it'll be a good show. Do you guys want to join us at our table? We are going to have a drink, then head out." Lance told us.

We of course excepted the offer and went to the table. Oddly enough Lance sort of caught me by the arm and made sure that I set next to him. I certainly didn't mind though, because he is my favorite. We talked about the show, and they confirmed that it'd be the same layout as the HBO special. But I guess I could live with that.

Lance seemed kind of touchy feely during our talk. He would occasionally bump his leg into me, or his hand would bump mine. I know it was all in my head, but hey it was still exciting.

"So where are you guys going after this?" I asked Lance.

"We have to get back to the hotel. We have a long day tomorrow. We have to make sure the show for Alabama is extra good. We don't get to come here often...actually this is the first time." Lance told me.

"Yeah I know, and the first time is a double header. I guess you won't be back next time then?" I asked.

"Actually we probably will. The tickets sold out on both shows, really fast. And the area is very nice." Lance told me.

"Well, so I guess after this we will see you at the concert Monday?" I asked.

"Sure, but that's 2 days from now. Why don't you guys come by the hotel tomorrow evening? I'll get you some passes for the first show too. I mean if you don't mind seeing us twice." He asked.

"No that'll be fine. Wow! You guys are a lot different than I imagined. I just always thought you'd be a little snobby, sorry no offense meant." I said, sticking my foot in my mouth again.

"Well, most of us are still very down to earth." He said.

"Most of you?" I asked quietly.

Lance leaned in and whispered. "Justin can be an ass at time, but the rest of us are cool."

"I knew it." I whispered to him.

"Your cool Lee and I really like the fact that you came up to us with so much confidence. Most people would have been to shy to do it." Lance commented.

"Well, trust me I'm shy at times too, but when it comes to something like this. You just got to take a chance!" I said.

"I like that, take a chance! That's a very good attitude. Here let me give you my cell number. You call me around 3 tomorrow and I'll tell you how to get to our hotel and stuff." Lance said.

Lance wrote the number down and all too soon Nsync was out the door, and I was left wondering what exactly just happened. Did I somehow instantly become friends with Lance of Nsync?

After they left the floodgates opened up and all the regulars came in. The place was full now, and the people seemed very happy to be inside finally. But myself I wasn't that interested in dancing anymore. How can you top meeting celebrities! Well, okay so there are a lot of ways to top it, but it was still really amazing. Jerry and I decided to head back to his place and exchange notes on the evening.

At Jerry's

"Wow that was really cool. Josh was so cool. He was so much nicer than I could have ever imagined." Jerry told me.

"Yeah, and Lance was nice too. It was so weird meeting them. Do you think that Lance is really getting us tickets for tomorrow's show?" I asked Jerry.

"For sure, why would he lie? And after all he gave you his cell phone number." Jerry said excitedly.

"What if it's just a fake number, to get rid of us?" I asked.

"You're being too negative Lee. If you are in doubt just call the number!" He suggested.

"But I'm not supposed to call till tomorrow!" I argued.

"Soooo! What could it hurt?" Jerry asked.

"Oh okay, fine. But you'll probably want me to put J.C. on for you!" I said.

"No, I can wait I'm patient. I wonder if they will want to do something after the show tomorrow?" Jerry said getting all excited.

"Don't count on it. We'll see." I told him.

Holding Jerry's phone in my hand, I pondered on whether I should call now or wait till tomorrow. Would it be betraying his trust to call early, and to doubt him like this? Oh, hell I've only known him for an hour...I think it'd be okay to be a little doubtful. With that said...I dialed the number.

The phone rang a couple times before anyone picked up. "Hello." A very obviously gay man answered.

"Um...hello is Lance there?" I asked confused.

"Oh, sorry I was changing my voice in case it was a random call. This is he. Oh wait, is this Lee from the club?" He asked.

"Yeah, sorry for calling so late. I...well; to be honest was just making sure this was really your number." I confessed.

"That is very wise of you. I would have done the same thing in your position. I've had some celebrities to do that to me before. But you can trust me, what I say is the truth." Lance told me.

"I believe it now. I'm glad. I would have been pretty disappointed otherwise." I told him.

"Yeah, I can imagine. I hate to be lied too. And besides I'm glad you called. I was having trouble getting to sleep anyway. So a phone call might be what I need to wind down." Lance said. Some how I could just picture this big smile on his face. Like the one he had on at the club.

"So what's it like living on the road so much?" I asked him.

"Ah, it can be tough, but the fans make it all worth while." He told me.

"I can only imagine. So what is it about us that made you want to give out your cell number?" I asked.

"Oh it was more you than Jerry. Not that he didn't seem like a great guy, but you just have these blue eyes...that just seem so innocent and pure. I just knew I could trust you. And we don't have a lot of friends outside the group. So like you said, I took a chance." Lance told me.

"I'm glad you did. Your a great guy, and I don't mean that cause your in Nsync. You're just a nice person. Otherwise your fame would have gone to your head, and you wouldn't have wasted five minutes on a nerd like me." I joked.

"You're not a nerd...I mean sure you have glasses, and stuff...but you're a really cool guy. I can tell! So don't be labeling yourself any other way!" Lance said. He really had a way about making me smile.

"Thanks, so do you think we could hang out after the show tomorrow?" I asked, getting a little confidence.

"Sure, I assumed we would. Do you know another club we could go to?" Lance asked.

"Well, we could go to this one club...but I don't think you guys would do that." I said realizing what I almost suggested.

"What, go ahead and tell me." Lance said.

"Well, you could go to the bar down the street from the other club. It's a gay club though..." I said.

"Oh, that's why you didn't want to suggest it! Well, trust me we have gone to a couple in our days. Sometimes we do small shows there, cause we know that we have a big gay following. But does this mean your gay?" He asked.

"Yeah, I hope this doesn't change anything. I normally don't hide it, because I've been out since I was 18." I told him.

"Wow! That's really amazing. Not many guys have the nerve to come out so young. Congratulations." He told me.

I giggled. "Thanks. So I take it your cool with it then?" I asked.

"Sure why wouldn't I be? You're still the same nice guy I met at the club." Lance said with a very friendly voice I had grown accustomed to.

After a little more chatter we ended the conversation and Jerry was setting literally on the edge of his seat. I know he was dieing to know what all we talked about.

"Well, what did you talk about?" He asked.

"Oh not much." I said.

"Not much? You were on the phone over a half an hour! I know you had to have talked about something. And besides...I was listening in, but I know you said the word gay at least once. Did you come out to him or something?" He asked.

"More or less yeah. I mean he asked. I kind of suggested that we go to the gay club down from the Nova." I told Jerry.

"What are you crazy or something?" Jerry asked.

"No, apparently they go to the clubs occasionally, because of the gay fans. Lance said they would go." I told him.

"Won't the guys there mob them?" He asked.

"I don't think so. And besides, I suggested it cause they have that back section that can be rented out for privacy. I'm going to get it for us." I told Jerry.

"That'd cost a butt load." Jerry said.

"Not really, after all, the bartender owes us a favor. Remember we helped them clean up after the pride dance last year." I told him.

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that. And it might help if you tell him that it's Nsync, and you can introduce them to him." Jerry added.

"That's perfect. I'll call him tomorrow." I decided.

The next day came and not to my surprise the bartender was more than a little skeptical when I called. But he agreed anyway, but he said if Nsync didn't show up, he'd ban me from the bar. I didn't feel it would be that large of a loss anyway. I don't even go to clubs that often! But I knew Lance would show. I didn't know the others well enough to say the same though. Lance though, I trusted.

That evening I called up lance at the predetermined time. The phone was answered on the third ring. But this was obviously not Lance!

"Hola." A bad Spanish attempt sent out.

"Hola, cuál está para arriba?" (Hello, What's up)

"Erm...No speak español." The guy stated and started giggling.

"It's No hablo español actually...but don't sweat it. This is Josh of Nsync I guess." I stated.

"How did you know? Who is this?" He asked.

"It's Lee from last night. Surely you didn't forget me already? I'm sure you had to remember Jerry?" I teased.

"OH YEAH! How are you Lee?" J.C. asked.

"Just fine. I was calling to find out where to meet you guys and stuff." I told J.C.

"Oh, I think Lance wants to talk to you for that. But um...I was wondering Jerry's definitely coming right?" He asked.

"Sure, why do you ask?" I asked with a grin.

"He was pretty cool, and I was just wondering. Well, here's Lance." He said handing the phone over.

"Hey Lee, I'm glad you are still interested and hanging out with us after that bad Spanish act!" Lance joked.

"Of course, I thought it was funny. But doesn't anyone ever get tired of you doing fake voices after a while. Yeah, now that I know your home number I'll be taking your calls normally. I promise!" Lance assured me.

"Good, cause honestly I don't know that much more Spanish than Josh." I laughed.

"Okay, well I guess you can come on over. How far out of the city are you?" He asked.

"Oh, it's about an hour drive." I informed him.

"Great! You know where the Ramada Inn is." Lance asked.

"Sure, do you want me to come over then?" I asked.

"Yeah, we are in room 406 right now. That's my room. Just go to the desk and tell them who you are, and they'll help. I made sure to put you and Jerry on the list. You shouldn't have any trouble. Just make sure to bring id." Lance told me.

No problem. I don't usually drive without it! And I'll clue in Jerry. We'll be over in about an hour." I told him.

I didn't have much time to call Jerry, so I just went over. But he knew what time I was calling, so he was already dressed to go, which was good. Soon, we were in the car and on the way.

"We are actually going to hang out with Nsync, then go see them in concert right?" Jerry asked.

"Yup, who would have ever guessed?" I asked him.

"Not me, but your probably a little disappointed it isn't the Backstreet Boys." Jerry teased.

"Well, just don't tell them that. I'd hate to cause a rift in our friendship. I mean I think Lance is a nice guy." I told him.

"I don't think he'd be mad about it. Just as long as he doesn't see your Brian poster!" He teased me again.

"Stop bugging me. I can't help it if my first love is for another group. That doesn't mean I like Lance any less. Besides I like him for whom he is not what he does for a living. You know I'd be hot for any other sexy guy." I said.

"Oh you're hot for him?" Jerry teased...boy did I slip there!

"I didn't mean it that way. You're being bad. Now behave." We were both lost in our thoughts from there.

Soon we were at the hotel. The guy at the front desk gave us the run around for a little, but when he found us on the list...It was pretty simple to get in. After showing our id we were ushered in.

The room:

"Hey guys glad you made it!" Chris said opening the door for us.

"I'm really glad you could hang out with us." Lance said giving me a hug.

"I'm glad I came too!" I said laughing, and took a seat in an empty chair. Lance sat down beside me. I was getting used to that theme!

"So what do you guys want to do now?" Justin asked.

It was like the first time he had spoke the whole evening! Maybe he was warming up to us?

"Well, I thought we could go down and do a sound check, and let the guys check out everything up close." Joey suggested.

"That's a great idea." Lance agreed.

"I like that idea too." I agreed, with Jerry shaking his head also.

So Lance used his phone to call for the van that they were riding around in. In a few minutes we were heading out the door and pilling into the van. We hadn't be riding for more than five minutes when all the sudden I look over at Joey to see him pale as a ghost.

"What's a matter Joey?" I asked

"They are gone!" He screams out. I look around and Lance was the only other person in the van besides the driver.

"Where's Jerry?" I asked in panic.

"And where's Chris, Justin, and J.C.?" Lance asked frantically.

I looked over at the troubled Lance and noticed that he was starting to turn grayish and transparent...

"What the fuck is going on!" I screamed.

To be continued.

Hey, I got 3 other chapters all finished where that came from. But since I have a tendency to get behind when I least expect it, I'm going to spread these bad boys out one per week for now. But at least you know they will be coming!

Next: Chapter 2
