Hey guys, this is going to have to do you for 2 weeks...I'm going to take a short break, because I really need to get some more material written...I'm running behind. LOL! So I'm going to try to crank out the rest of the book next week, and then resume postings in 2 weeks! So just think of next week as a holiday...but I might have something else up next week besides this story. Who knows. ;-)

Please send your thoughts and comments to leo1980@gay.com and if your not already there, go to http://home.gay.com/leo1980 to get all the extra goodies that can only be found at my website. Including pictures of me. :-)

Through the Time Warp (My adventure with Nsync) Chapter 9

The seven of us were a little too much for one cab, so we had to split up. Since the seven of us had spent so much time together, we thought it'd be ok for half of us to go to one club and the other half elsewhere. Jerry, Josh, Chris, and Joey took one cab, and the rest of us took the next. I was kind of surprised that Justin chose to go with us, but I guess we really did need to get to know each other better.

"So Justin what made you decide to go with us?" I voiced my question.

"Oh, I just thought I'd get to know you a little better, since you and Lance are together and all. I guess I'll get to know Jerry next." Justin told me.

"That's cool. You seem different now, than when we first met. I hope you don't mind me saying." I told him.

"Yeah, I guess this trip has been kind of rough on me." Justin said as we rode down the streets of New York.

"It's been hard on us all, but I meant it has had a positive effect on you. You seem much friendlier now." I ventured.

"Yeah, I know I was pretty snobby at times, but I'm trying to change. I mean Mary really was a slap in the face. Then the whole death thing! Wow! Lee, your courage back there saved us all. I hope you know that." Justin told me.

"No, it wasn't me...it was just God using me as his vessel." I told him.

"Well, all I know is, if it weren't for you...I probably would have choose the wrong thing. Can we be friends man?" Justin asked.

"Of course! I'm just glad everyone is okay with me dating Lance." I said as I hugged Lance that apparently had dozed off.

"Did I miss anything?" Lance asked as he woke up.

"Justin and I are friends now." I informed him.

"That's great! Are we there yet?" Lance asked.

"Not quite." I told him.

"And about the group being cool with it...well you have been great on this trip, and you seem trustworthy enough. And besides we all know about you saving Lance's life. I mean you kind of earned him." Justin joked.

"Yes, and I hope you keep me for a long time." Lance said smiling.

"You know I will!" I said kissing Lance softly on the lips. I hope our kissing didn't bother anyone. OH WELL!

"It's so cool that we don't have to worry about our relationship coming out while we are in all these weird time eras. It really gives a chance to be a normal couple, and that's good for a beginning relationship." Lance noted.

"Yeah, I'm sure it is. What kind of music do you think this place will have?" Justin asked.

"Disco maybe? I don't know...it's the late 70's." I answered.

"Are we even going to know how to dance to this stuff?" Justin asked.

"Nope! But we are going to enjoy trying." Lance answered.

And Lance was right about the dancing. We arrived shortly after that, and entered the club. I was somewhat worried about getting carded...Sure I was over 21, but how would I explain that my drivers license says I was born a few months from then? It was our luck, that they weren't carding anyone. That was good news to us. We tried to make a showing out there, but I had a feeling most of the people laughed us off. I had fun though as did Lance and Justin from the smiles on their faces.

"Man this music really sucks." I said as we got set down.

"Tell me about it!" Justin agreed.

"Oh well, at least we got to dance again. We really need to practice our dance routines sometime soon." Lance pointed out.

"Yeah, we have a show in a few hours." Justin joked.

"If we ever get time to start working normal!" I added.

"Well, since we can't do it their way...Let's do it our way." Justin decided.

I decided to set it out, but watching them do the "It's Gonna Be Me" routine to 70's music, was so funny! And to my surprise they drew a lot of attention. But no one tried to imitate them at least.

"Um you guys, maybe you hadn't better do that again." I told them.

"Why not?" Lance asked.

"Well...if your dance catches on now, it might change the history of dance. And who knows what else." I told them.

"Oh, I didn't think of that." Lance said frowning.

"See, you are the smart one Lee." Justin joked.

"LOL, well Lance is the cute one." I said.

"I thought I was?" Justin said with a puppy dogface.

"You are now!" Lance said pinching his cheeks.

"You guys are fun! We'll have to go out again when we get back." Justin said.

"Well, we are going to a club after the show aren't we?" I asked Lance.

"That's right. Though I never got around to telling the guys." Lance admitted.

"Don't worry about it. You have ages to tell them!" I joked.

"Yeah, it could be years and years before we get home. And that could be in just one week." Justin stated.

"Yeah, that's very true." Lance said catching on to our joke.

"Come on, let's do a little more 70's dancing, and then head back to the hotel." Justin said as he led us back onto the floor.

I bet we were the only trio of boys dancing together that night! I guess no one seemed to notice though, and we were fine with that. I think the guys enjoyed not being noticed for once.

At the Other club:

"I can't dance to this stuff you guys." Josh said setting down next to Jerry.

"I know what you mean. It was a good idea, but I guess we should just call it a night." Joey suggested.

"Yeah. I wonder if Justin and Lance are doing any better?" Chris asked.

"Lance and Justin probably didn't give up as easy as we did, but I'm sure they are not doing much better." Josh guessed.

"Why don't we go back to the hotel, and order some room service, and watch TV." Joey suggested.

"Sounds good to me." Jerry agreed.

"Cool. Let's ride." Josh said taking Jerry by the hand as they left their table. They as well weren't very worried about anyone noticing their affection for one another.

Around eleven we all showed back up at the hotel. I guess we would have stayed longer under different circumstances, but we were all glad to be back. The other guys told us about the plan for food and TV, and we agreed happily. I expected to see some of the shows like they have on Nick-at-Night. Which was cool, cause I like a lot of those shows anyway. But none of us thought about the fact that most TV stations went off air around that time or earlier. So we wound up eating while listening to some 60's records that Joey had bought earlier. We all more or less agreed that the 60's music was better than the 70's. It was fun to play with a record player again too...I hadn't had one since I was a little kid. I remember the needle on those things were easily broken...and hard to replace. Or at least that was my experience.

After a while we all started getting sleepy and headed to our respective rooms. It was nice to cuddle up to Lance again, and I hoped that I would be doing that for the rest of my life! It's amazing how I could fall in love with him so fast and magical that he would fall for me too. I kissed him softly, as we started off to the land of dreams. But could my dreams be half as sweet as my life with Lance had been so far?

Dream sequence:

"Can I have this dance?" A man in a tuxedo asked.

"Certainly." I said.

We started slow dancing, though I couldn't quite hear the music...perhaps it was something in his eyes that blocked everything else out. He wore a mask, and I couldn't tell who it was. I felt very safe though, and that was enough for me.

"You dance very well." He said.

"Thank you, what's your name?" I asked.

"That's not important right now. Just enjoy the music, till morning comes you are mine." He said as he spun me around on the floor.

My heart jumped at what he said...I didn't even know his name, but I felt as if I would do anything he asked of me. The music began to move faster, yes I could hear it now. We started to dance closer, and then we became one. I looked in a mirror and all I saw was myself, but there was something different. I could see the stranger in my reflection...almost like he was part of me, but not at the same time. His outline was hovering around me.

"You dance wonderfully. We shall meet again." I heard him say...and then I fell to the floor.

The dream shifted, and I was in a field of roses. I walked through them carefully, fearing I might prick my skin on a thorn. I found myself looking for the stranger, looking for Lance, looking for anyone...It seemed like I was lost in this huge field of flowers.

"Don't give up, you can find him." The stranger said.

"Where are you?" I asked.

"I'm with you...we can make it through this." He told me.

Suddenly I felt the urgency, and started running through the flowers. I felt the thorns tearing at my flesh...but I wouldn't let it get the best of me. Then I found him. It was Lance, and he was asleep on a patch of grass. I shook him to wake him.

"Lance wake up. We can't stay here." I said. But there was no response.

"Only your love can wake him Lee." The voice said.

"Lance I love you so much." I said as I kissed his sweet lips.

Lance awoke and held onto me tight. End of Dream

When I woke up. Lance was covered in sweet. I quickly woke him up.

"Lance are you okay?" I asked.

"I don't know...I felt like something was holding me down...I couldn't breath. Then, You came to me." Lance said.

"In my dream, I had to wake you up with a kiss." I told him.

"Exactly." Lance said smiling at me.

Neither of us would know exactly what that was about for a long time, but we were both relieved that it was just a dream...but why would we have the same dream?

"Who do you think that guy in the tuxedo was?" Lance asked.

"I don't know, but I'm glad he was there." I stated.

It was still early, so Lance and I cuddled till we eventually fell back to sleep. This time there wasn't any dreams...or at least none that we remembered.

When we woke up later on, it was around 8 and we were both ready for breakfast. Lance called up the other guys to see if they wanted to join us for breakfast, and everyone agreed except for Josh and Jerry...they were still sleeping.

"So what are you ordering Lee?" Joey asked me.

"I think I'll go with a ham omelet." I told him.

"That sounds good, I'll have one too. And of course some orange juice." Joey said.

"So how did you guys sleep?" I asked everyone.

"Great! Things have been so relaxed in this stop. I half expected something to blow up last night, but it didn't." Justin said.

We all ate a good breakfast, and stayed at the table to talk some.

"So Chris what are we doing today?" Lance asked.

"I guess we should start looking for one of the Jewels. Don't you think?" He answered.

"No need. I found it this morning." Jerry said as Josh and him joined us at the table.

He pulled the green jewel out of his pocket. We now had the fourth jewel! Excellent! One step closer to making it home.

"Where did you find the jewel?" Joey asked as we all smiled at the find.

"Oddly enough, it was in the garbage can in our room. I was about to dump it out this morning, when something caught my eye. I bent down and picked it up." Jerry said.

"So do we use it now to get out here then?" Lance asked

"Let us eat breakfast first. You never know when we'll get a chance again!" Josh stated.

So we set and talked longer while Josh and Jerry had their breakfast. This time had been so peaceful we weren't really looking forward to leaving, but we knew that there were more adventures ahead. And we all wanted to get home. You wouldn't believe how much this has made us appreciate staying in one time at a...time.

"Well, I guess we are ready." Josh said pushing his plate away.

"Not yet, we have to pay for this food first." I said taking the check to the front. I wasn't sure who was footing this bill, but I knew that this place deserved to get the money for the excellent service.

"Now are you ready to go?" Jerry asked me.

"Yup! You know the deal." I said.

We raised our jewels together, and let the four of them connect. As before the flash was amazing, but even brighter this time. I don't know why someone in the room did not see it, but they seemed to be frozen in time.

The light reached its peak...and we all had the wish for home in our heart. But as we landed in the van, we saw it happen again...our bodies started fading away.

As our eyes adjusted to our new time...I saw that we were in a bit of a fix. We were falling through the air...really fast!

"Oh shit...what's happening?" I screamed...but I could barely hear myself.

"Lee!" I barely heard Lance screaming. I reached my hands out to him, but I couldn't reach him.

What was going on? Why would the time warp send us here? I looked down and saw that the ground was getting closer every second. What could we do?

Then suddenly someone came ridding on a board of some sort. He caught us both by the hands, and brought us back up towards a tall building. We were soon resting on the roof.

"What the hell just happened?" Lance asked.

"I just saved your lives." Chris said taking off his helmet.

"Where exactly did you get a hover board?" I asked him.

"I don't know...I was just on it when the time warp ended." Chris told us.

"Well, I'm certainly glad you had one...too bad we didn't get one." Lance said.

"Oh well...I guess one was enough. Now come on let's get off this roof. We got to find where we are." Chris stuffed the hover board in his bag. Oddly enough it fit, I suppose the bags have some magical ability to hold almost anything.

"Where are the other guys?" I asked.

"I don't know. I didn't see anyone but you guys falling. I had to save you! I'm sure they are fine." Chris said.

"I hope they had a warmer welcome than we did." Lance said. We were all worried. But we were sure we would find them.

As we walked to the door that would lead us inside the building, I had the feeling that we were being watched. Maybe it was just paranoia from the fall...but I didn't feel very safe. I found myself wondering what point in the future we were. I couldn't see around that well, because it was already dusk.... And getting darker all the time.

To be Continued.
