Chapter 88

Harry's blue eyes met Lance's emerald, the man pacing in the hallway, the younger man looking at him.

"Pacing isn't helping, Lance. Sit down and relax." Harry said, his eyes going to the door situated across from him.

Lance sighed, sitting down beside the younger man, his green pools looking towards the door as well.

"They've been in there for over three quarters of an hour. If it goes any longer Josh may be back." Lance said, Harry nodding.

"Lucas asked for privacy and he got it, Lance. We'll just have to wait till he comes out.  Whatever happened before has quieted down. I can hardly hear their voices." Harry said, Lance nodding, looking at the door again.

Both men had heard raised voices, the words not coherent enough to make sense.

The last few minutes they'd been greeted by relative silence.

"Something's going on in there, Har. I don't like Lucas being in there alone, especially with Zac and Nick." Lance said, Harry nodding.

"I don't like it either, Lance. But I heard the reassurance in his words and his calm manner. I saw total control in his violet eyes as well." Harry said, Lance nodding.

"I saw it as well, Har. That in itself calmed Josh the most."

Harry nodded, looking down towards the banquet room.

The small group had all walked out of the banquet room, Justin leading Lucas to an office at the end of the hall, Justin unlocking the door and opening it.
Josh's blue pools had met Lucas', the young man smiling at him.

"You need to return to your party, my love. You are, after all, the star attraction." Lucas smiled at him, Josh's eyes widening a bit, looking around everyone standing in the hallway.

"I love you, Lucas. My place is at your side." Josh had said, his blue eyes moving to Nick and Zac, Zac smiling at him.

"No worries, Joshy. He'll be in good hands." Zac smiled, Nick smirking.

Josh's eyes had darkened, as had Lance's and Justin's, Lucas looking at the two men, then at Aaron and Craig.

"Please go into the office, Aaron and Craig. You and Nick as well, Zac." Lucas said, his violet eyes meeting all four sets of blue.

"Does the couch fold down, Jus?" Zac smiled, Nick laughing, Aaron and Craig quietly staring at Zac.

Lucas saw Craig's hand go in Aaron's again, the young man staring at Zac.

"Get in there or I'll throw you in there." Lucas said, his violet eyes focused on only Zac, the man's handsome face softening its mirthful look.

Everyone surrounding the two men saw Lucas' focused gaze, Zac stepping back a bit.

"No need to go all Schwarzenegger on us, Luke. Or do you like domination?" Zac said, his bravado coming back again, Nick's blue eyes staring at Lucas.

"I'll show you very shortly what I like, Zac." Lucas said with calmness, his violet eyes staring at the actor.

Zac smiled, the man's blue eyes meeting Nick's.

"Let's hit the couch, Nick. And enjoy whatever show Luke wants to give us." he smiled, Nick smiling at him, he and Zac walking into the office, Aaron and Craig looking at each other, then their eyes meeting Lucas' violet pools.

"It's alright, guys. Nothing is going to happen in that regard. I'm just focused on the truth."

Aaron's blue pools met Lucas' violet, the young man smiling at him.

"Who. . .who are you. . .really?" he said, looking at Craig, then back at Lucas.

"I'm just a friend, Aaron. And I'm going to make your life better." he smiled, Aaron staring at him with surprise.

"Please go in guys, I'll only be a moment." Lucas said, the two young men nodding, walking into the room, Lucas turning back to his friends and Josh.

"You and Justin head back to the guests, Joshua. Lance and Harry can wait outside here for me."
Harry stared at his friend with surprise.

"I'm technically on the job, Luke. I'm going to be in there with you." Harry said, Lucas' hand going to his cousin's shoulder.

"I'll be alright, Har. I have the truth and my own acceptance on my side."
"Acceptance of what? What's going on here, Lucky?" Josh said, his arm going around his man.

"Life's going on, my love. Your happiness is back in that room. And I have your love in my heart. That and your love, guys, will get me through this."

"I don't like you in there alone with them, babe." Josh said, Lucas smiling and looking around the hallway, leaning forward and kissing his man's lips.

"I won't be long, my Joshua. Half an hour to an hour or so, depending on the revealed truths. Guide him back to our families and your friends, Justin." he said, Justin nodding and smiling at him.

"I'll keep him busy, Luke." he smiled, Lucas smiling back at him, the young man's hand going to the door handle.

"Are you sure, Lucas?" Josh said, Lucas smiling at only him again.

"Yes, my love.  My path continues. I'll be back in your arms shortly. You still owe me a dance, my love." he smiled, Josh smiling at his man, seeing the love and calmness in his violet pools.
He also saw something else there, that look calming his own soul.

"See you shortly, my Lucas."
Lucas smiled, the young man walking into the room, closing the door behind him.

Here now it was over forty minutes later, Lance and Harry waiting outside that same closed door.

"It's very quiet in there, Har." Lance said again, staring at the door, hearing nothing now.

"Whatever the ruckus was earlier, it's ended." Harry said, his blue eyes focused on the door again and the surrounding silence, his face showing a look of deepening concern.

Lance's hand went to his shoulder.

"I'm sure he's alright, Har. Lucas can take care of himself. We've all seen that truth."
Harry nodded, looking into Lance's green pools.

"He's my cousin, Lance. And my friend. I'm worried when he's not in my sights. I feel I'm not doing my requested duty."
"You do that every day you're with him, Harry. Your duty is your friendship and love. Lucas always is protected by that."
Harry smiled, nodding.
The two saw someone coming down the hall, Justin's handsome face meeting theirs.

"They're still in there?" he said, sitting down beside Lance, the man smiling at his lover, Justin smiling back with love as the two joined hands.

"Yes, and it's gotten very quiet." Harry said, standing up, Justin and Lance looking at each other, standing up as well.

"I'm sure he's alright, Har." Justin said, Lance smiling at his man's attempt to calm the younger man as he himself had done.

"I'm sure. . ." Harry began to say, his words silenced by the door across from them opening.

Out of the room walked Lucas, his arm around someone.

The three men in the hallway widened their eyes, staring at a changed vision before them.

Zac Efron stood beside Lucas, the man's smooth face showing a look of deep emotion, his face red with emotion, his eyes showing wetness, then his head lowering.

"We part here, Zac." Lucas said, the man beside him raising his head, staring into Lucas' violet pools.

"I'm. . .I'm sorry. . .please don't. . ." he stuttered, Lucas' hand going to his shoulder, staring at him.

"Forgiveness lays within your own soul, Zac. In time others may show forgiveness. Right now you have to find it within yourself." Lucas said, the man nodding, wiping his eyes, his blue pools staring at Justin and Lance, the two men still staring at him with surprise and concern.

"Please. . .please forgive me for intruding on your festivities. And for. . .for all that I've. . ." Zac said, his face showing returning emotion.

"Good night, Zac." Lucas said, the man's eyes meeting his again, the man then quietly moving out of the office, walking down the hallway and heading out into the restaurant.

The three men in the hallway stared at Lucas, the young man's eyes lowering for a moment, his head turning back towards the office, Nick Carter walking out of it, his younger brother's arm around his waist, Craig on his other side, his arm around him as well.

The three saw a different look on Nick's face, this look one of deeper emotion, but a more loving surprised look showing, his eyes wet as well.

"Lucas, thank you. . .thank you for opening my eyes. For showing me. . ." he stuttered, his face overcoming with emotion, Aaron kissing his brother's cheek.

"I showed you life, Nick. The life you were in, the life you needed to focus on. The path will get better. You have the answer surrounding you."
Craig's face showed a smile, Lucas smiling at him.

"Thank you, Lucas." he said, Lucas nodding his head, his violet pools meeting Aaron's blue.

"I. . .what you have. . ."
Lucas blushed, lowering his eyes.

"Goodnight, everyone. I'll give Josh your wishes and goodbyes. You need to follow the right path."

Aaron looked as if he was going to move towards Lucas, Lucas raising his hand to stop him.

"Talk as brothers, as friends. You need to focus on the truth within your souls. You have my number, Craig." Lucas said, the three men staring at the young man, Craig nodding his head.
"Let's go home, Aaron." he said, the young singer nodding, Nick looking at Lucas again.

"Goodnight, my friends."
The three nodded, Nick's eyes meeting Lance's and Justin's, the man's head lowering, Aaron and Craig guiding Nick forward, the three walking down the hall and out into the restaurant, Lucas watching them go.

His violet pools turned to three sets of staring blue and green, the young man's face softening with a wider smile.

"How's my Josh doing, Jus?"

Justin looked at his friend.

"He's smiling and focusing on their love surrounding him. But he's missing you. He said he was coming down here in fifteen if you weren't back." Justin said, Lucas smiling at him.

"So he sent your love ahead?"

Justin smiled, as did Lance and Harry, all three still staring at Lucas with soft awed wonder.

"Yes, Luke. Something like that." Justin said, Lance moving forward, Lucas' hand going up again, stopping him.

"It was a family matter, guys. I'd rather not discuss it tonight. Paths move as they must. There'll be time enough for me to have to accept their unwarranted thanks." the young man said, his eyes lowering for a moment, Lance staring at him.

"Spreading the love again, Luke?" Harry said, Lucas raising his violet eyes, smiling at his cousin.

"Always, Har. And I felt your protective love outside the truth."

Harry smiled, nodding his head.

"You're a man of surprising mystery, Luke. I hope you can love us enough to tell us when you're ready." Justin said, Lucas smiling at him.

"I love all three of you to never keep secrets from you. We'll discuss it soon enough." Lucas sighed, the young man's violet eyes moved into the office, a look of reflective emotion crossing his face.

His voice was soft, all three staring at him.

"I couldn't do any less against the love. I hated doing it."

Lucas' violet eyes turned back to his friends, all three staring at him with confusion, having heard his soft words.

The young man's face changed into a wide smile, clapping his hands together.

"On to the happiness. I need my Josh's love. And I'm hungry for more cake!" he smiled, the young man walking towards the banquet room, the three behind him exchanging looks, watching Lucas open the banquet door, the three following.

"What's going on, babe?" Justin said, his hand still in Lance's, the man staring towards their disappearing friend.

"I don't know, sweetie. Only Lucas and his love will reveal that."

The three nodded to each other, walking into the continuing love.

Josh smiled, the man moving around the dance floor, his arms around a vision of manly beauty, Lucas' head against his shoulder, the young man wrapped in heaven.

"This is beyond wonderful, my love. Us dancing here in the open." Josh smiled, the man's blue eyes scanning the room, other couples surrounding them, many others seated or standing around the dance floor.

"The open happiness of our lives, my Beamy."

Josh smiled, pulling his man closer.

"Thank you for this night, my love. For the beauty of your giving love, for the special warmth of your giving heart."

Lucas smiled, raising his head, staring into his soulmate's blue eyes of love.

"For you and your happiness I would give all, my Joshua."

"You have given all, my Lucas. I have all your love, all your beauty and all your heart."
Lucas smiled, staring into his lover's blue eyes.

"I feel so cheap."

Josh laughed, smiling at his man.

"You're not cheap, my beauty. I have to spend a lot to gain a lot."

Lucas laughed, his warm smile melting Josh's heart.

"Now I feel so used."

Josh laughed, kissing his man's lips, Lucas feeling his man's calm openness.

"Later, babe. I'm going to use you for hours."

Lucas smiled, his head going against Josh's chest as the two continued to dance, Josh's arms around him.

"I feel your soul, my love. We'll talk of it tomorrow." Lucas said, Josh staring down at his man.

"I feel your soul as well, my love."

"I love you, Josh. Tonight it's about your happiness. Tomorrow, after all, is another day."

"Okay, Scarlett."

Lucas smiled, snuggling against his man.

"May I cut in?"

Josh smiled, staring into two blue eyes meeting his.

"Certainly, Finn." Josh smiled, Lucas raising his head, staring into Finn's blue eyes.

He saw the inebriated happiness showing there, the young man leaning forward and kissing his lips.

Skyler smiled, her man's arm around her.

Lucas smiled, tasting the whiskey happiness on his friend's breath.

"Alright, Finnegan. Fast or slow dance?" Lucas smiled, his friend smiling at him.

"Actually you're Sky's next partner. And try not to step on her toes. It's Joshy I'd like to dance with." Finn smiled, his blue eyes moving to Josh's surprised blue.

Lucas showed soft surprise as well, Skyler's hand going in his.

"Come on, Lukey. Let's cut a rug!" she smiled, pulling him away from Josh.

Josh stared into Finn's blue pools, the man smiling at him.

Finn extended a hand forward, Josh taking it.

"Let's dance, Josh. I'll lead."

Josh nodded, the man pulling him against him, his strong Welsh arms going around him.

Josh had never known Finn to be this demonstrative in his feelings, the younger man smiling at him as they began to dance.

"You're a good dancer, Josh." he smiled after a few minutes, Josh smiling at him.

"You must be drunk, Finny. For you to want to do this."
Finn smiled, leaning forward and kissing Josh on the lips.

"Not at all, Josh. I'm only drunk on the happiness coming from my best friend's soul. His love for you makes me love you. And I just wanted to show you that I consider you a part of my life in all ways."

Josh smiled, the man's arms going around the younger man, Finn smiling.

"I welcome that friendship, Finny. I love you too."

Finn smiled, his face staring into Josh's blue pools.

"I love Lucas, Josh. I love you now as well."
Josh smiled, his hands moving downward, cupping Finn's muscular butt cheeks.

"Sweet! So I get to manhandle you just like Lucky."
Finn laughed, smiling into Josh's handsome face.

"My love's here, Joshy. My body's unfortunately all Sky's."

Josh smiled, releasing the man's firm butt cheeks, his hands returning to his waist, Finn smiling at him.

"Lucas is happy, Josh. That speaks volumes on your love."

"I love him, Finn." Josh said, Finn smiling at him, his eyes glancing towards Skyler and Lucas, his soulmate wrapped in his best friend's arms.

"I know, Josh. That's why I need to tell you something."
Josh smiled at Finn, seeing a look of deep love in the younger man's blue eyes.

"Lucas is hurting, Josh."

Josh stared at the young man, seeing the deeper look of protective love.

"I know, Finnegan. I see it deeply in his eyes."

"What's going on, Josh?"

Josh's blue eyes moved to the young man who filled his soul, Lucas dancing with Skyler, the two smiling at each other.

"I don't know, Finn. But tomorrow I'm going to find out. He's voiced that truth himself." Josh said, looking at his lover again.

"For tomorrow is indeed another day." Josh softly said, staring at his lover.

Finn stared at Josh, the handsome singer meeting his blue eyes.

"We both love him, Finn. Our love will heal whatever hurts him."

Finn smiled, Josh's head going against his chest, Finn hugging him close.

"We do, Josh. And I'm here for both of you."

Josh smiled, the two dancing beside their soulmates, their love stronger.

Josh smiled around the room, everyone clapping, the last act of birthday happiness unfolding.

"You guys are so wonderful! And this was all so unnecessary!" Josh smiled, Lucas sitting beside him, Josh holding the last gift Lucas had placed in his lap.

"We love you, Josh. We show our love in many ways." Justin smiled, Lance standing beside him, the two men seated beside a table of opened gifts, surrounded by everyone else.

Josh smiled at the table beside him, many gifts and envelopes opened and on display, their friends and family showing their love greatly.

"Read the card, babe." Lucas said, Josh smiling at him, opening the envelope on top of the red gift-wrapped box.

He smiled, reading the words written in the card, two faces smiling at him.

"Uh-oh, Lucky. This can't be good." Josh said, two people grinning widely.

"What is it babe?" Lucas said, Josh smiling softly at him.

"They're conspiring together, babe. What have we done?" Josh said, Lucas looking at him, taking the card from Josh's hand, Josh looking around.

"Read it out loud, Lukey!" Finn smiled, his arms wrapped around his fiancée.

His blue pools looked into another smiling face, that man smiling back.

Lucas nodded, looking at the card, his voice filling the room.

Happy Birthday, Joshy

Something to keep your old heart stoked

and that younger heart primed.

Wear them in lust and privacy.

They're totally interchangeable.

Accessories not included.

Hugs, Finn and Chris.

Everyone stared at Finn and Chris Kirkpatrick, the older man grinning at Josh and Lucas.

"Well open it, guys!" he smiled, Finn smiling at him, Chris standing with his soulmate, Chris Pine blushing at Josh.

"I have no knowledge of this, Joshy. I don't know what these two are up to." Piney said, Josh smiling at him.

"They're up to love and mirthfulness, Piney." Lucas said, smiling at his best friend and Chris, both men grinning more.

"Should we trust them, Lucky? One alone is a handful, but two together?" Josh smiled, Lucas laughing lightly, both men smiling at him.

"Open the box, my love. But check for booby traps first." Lucas said, everyone around them laughing, Josh nodding his head, his lover smiling at him.

Josh slowly ripped off the gift wrap, a blue box laying underneath it, Josh slowly breaking the tab that held it shut.

He opened the box's lid, staring into the box himself.

Josh quickly closed the lid, his face showing a reddening blush, Lucas smiling at him.

"What is it, Josh?" he said, Josh's eyes meeting his violet.

Lucas saw the embarrassment showing on his face, Lucas kissing his cheek.

"Their mirth is ours. Their laughter feeding our souls. Show me, babe."

Josh smiled at his lover, his embarrassment softening.

"On to the laughter and taunts, babe." Josh said, opening the box again, pulling out its contents.

The room filled with laughter, everyone staring at the two items he held in his hand.

Lucas stared at them, his face blushing a bit as well, but his face widening in a large smile.

In Josh's right hand he held a clothes hanger, a sheer black tank top hanging from it.

Lucas read the words embroidered in gold across its front.

                    My Master's Bitch

In Josh's left hand was another hanger, a white sheer tank top hanging from it, Lucas taking in its risqué phrase written in black.

                    My Bitch's Master

Everyone was laughing, pointing at the risqué sexual attire, Finn and Chris now together, their arms around each other, their laughter the loudest.

"Like the card said, totally interchangeable!" Chris laughed, Finn grinning, looking at Lucas.

"There's more in the box, guys!" he laughed, Lucas looking at him, his eyes going to the box filled with white tissue paper.

Lucas saw two other items laying beneath the tissue, his hands pulling out both, holding one in each hand.

Josh's eyes widened, taking in these two items.

Both were sheer bikini briefs, embroidered words written on both.

On the white sheer pair on its front pouch were sewn two words in black.

                   Master's Tool

On the black pair of sheer bikinis on their back were written three words in gold thread.

                        Insert Tool Here

Everyone was laughing, Josh blushing deeply, tossing the tank tops into the box, Lucas smiling and staring at the bikini briefs he still held in his hands.

"Awesome gift, guys! Thanks! And indeed totally interchangeable!" he laughed, Josh softly smiling at him, his face still showing blushing embarrassment.

Lucas smiled, leaning forward and kissing his man's lips, everyone smiling at his unembarrassed face.

"Our friends stoke our hearts with their merriment, my love. And these gifts are going to stoke our libidos. And they even cared about our comfort. Both are made of stretchy material."

Everyone laughed, Finn and Chris looking at each other, soft redness showing on their cheeks.

"You both are in for it." Joey laughed, standing behind them, his arms around his wife.

Lucas stood up, smiling at his two friends, the young man raising the briefs.

"From your personal collection, Chris?"

Chris Pine laughed, his lover blushing towards him.

"No. . .no. . .Luke. Finn bought them somewhere. Honest!"

Lucas smiled, his violet pools staring at his best friend, his eyes returning to Chris' blushing face.

"I know they're not yours, Chris. They're only mediums."

Joey lost it, exploding into laughter behind his friend, others joining him, Chris blushing more.

Lucas smiled, then laughed, leaning forward and kissing Chris' cheek.

"Thanks for the love and fun, Chris." he smiled, Chris smiling softly at him.

"You always turn around the mirth, Luke."

Lucas smiled, raising the pair of briefs with the gold writing on their backside.

"I'll wear these the next time you plan a joke."

Everyone laughed again, Lucas smiling towards his best friend, Finn smiling at him.

"All in fun, Lukey." he smiled, Lucas smiling at him.

"Yes fun it will be. I can't wait for both of us to wear them." Lucas smiled, looking back at his lover, Josh's now unembarrassed face smiling back at him, the man rising from his seat, his arm going around Lucas.

"Thanks, Chris and Finny. The perfect gifts for the perfect models." Josh smiled, Finn blushing a bit more, Josh smiling and leaning forward, kissing his cheek.

"Our room, one o'clock tonight. Private showing for you and your cohort." Josh beamed, Chris and Finn blushing more, the room filling with more laughter.

Lucas laughed, kissing his man's cheek.

"Nah, love. That would only add to their own libidos. Best we follow the card to a tee."

Josh laughed, smiling at his two friends.

"No accessories necessary, guys. My Lucas comes fully loaded, as do I."

Lucas laughed loudly, Finn and Chris smiling at their friends, both men smiling at each other then, the two bowing to their friends.

"Given in love, guys." Finn said, Josh smiling at him.

Josh's eyes went around to everyone, the man smiling.

"Thank you all for the beautiful gifts given in love. Your love I cherish. Let's enjoy the rest of the night in happiness and love. I thank all of you." he said, the room filling with cheering and clapping.

Lucas smiled, Josh's arm going around his man.

"But most of all I want to thank my Lucas. His love fills my heart with happiness and yours as well. Let's enjoy the ending of his loving surprise. I'm going to dance with him again. Let's all dance with our soulmates."

The room filled with clapping, music starting again.

Lucas smiled, his man pulling him towards the dance floor.

Lucas smiled, staring out into the dark night, seeing the beginnings of dawn creeping into the morning sky.

The man stood on his bedroom's balcony, feeling two arms wrap around his naked torso, two lips kissing his smooth neck.

He felt the heat of the naked body moving against him.

"Come back to our bed, my love." Josh said, Lucas feeling the love in the man's words.

"I thought you'd sleep till daylight, my love." Lucas said, turning around a bit, his man going against him, Lucas feeling his naked flesh against his own, their flaccid centers giving each other warmth as they connected.

"I cannot sleep without your love in my arms or my dreams." Josh said, his lips touching Lucas'.

Lucas' hand went downward, each clasping a smooth butt cheek, pulling the older man against him.

"A little early for round one, my love." Josh said, Lucas smiling at him.

"Love begins at dawn's light, its center burning bright until darkness' night."

Josh smiled, kissing his lover's warm lips.

"That's beautiful, my love."

"Words flowing among the worlds of my soul." Lucas smiled, Josh smiling at him.

"Your soul contains all the worlds of love, my angel. I hope mine is the greatest?"

Lucas smiled, kissing his lover back.

"It is, my beauty."

Josh smiled, snuggling against his man, feeling the soft breeze flowing across the open balcony.

"I'm still tired from last night's ending round six." Lucas smiled, Josh smiling into his violet pools.

"It was the most beautiful I've ever experienced." he said, Lucas seeing the truth in his lover's blue irises.

"We'll definitely have to thank Chris and Finny."

Josh laughed, the two smiling at each other.

"You are the accessory of my soul. And damn that black outfit so suited you." Josh said, Lucas grinning.

"And you in dominant white made my love come alive."

Josh smiled with happiness, their lips meeting again, this kiss steeped with love.

The two parted, Lucas smiling at his man.

"Should we tell them we ripped both?"

Josh laughed, smiling at his man's showing love for their friends.

"Nah, we'll show them. I think yours is deeply stained in the front."
Lucas laughed, smiling at his man, his violet pools looking out at the edge of the morning's sun cresting behind the tall buildings in the distance.

"The morning sun comes, my love. The first orgasm of the day's life."

Josh burst into laughter, Lucas smiling at him.

"Sorry, couldn't resist." he smiled, Josh laughing and kissing his cheek.

"Your humor and your love fills me."

Lucas smiled, staring into his man's blue pools.

"Thank you for respecting my soul, Joshua." Lucas said, Josh nodding at him.

"I know when you're bothered by something, my love. I know you need time to sort out your thoughts. I'll always be waiting to listen and to show you my love."
Lucas teared up, staring into Josh's blue pools.

"I love you, Joshua."

Josh smiled, pulling his man more into his own body.

"I love you more, my giving angel."

Lucas smiled, the man moving, pulling his man back into their bedroom, the two returning to their bed of love, Josh laying on his back, Lucas going against him, pulling the blankets over their bodies, the room cool from the air conditioning.

Lucas' head went against Josh's smooth chest, the older man pulling his man close.

"My mind's been mulling over the truth, Josh. The truth of what I am and what I may have to do. Of what I've already done." Lucas said, Josh staring down at his man's curly head.

Josh remained silent, sensing Lucas was talking through his own thoughts.

"Do you believe in my destiny, Josh?"

"I believe in your realness, in your love and yes, the path you walk on. What that destiny really is, I haven't a clue. I only know you are real and that I love you."

Lucas smiled, his fingers rubbing Josh's right nipple.

"I am real, Josh. I showed myself that yesterday. I am real because I want to be real. I want to be real to have all your love."

"You have that, Lucky. So you must be the realest person I know."

Lucas smiled more, raising his head, their eyes meeting.

"I am the realness of your heart, Joshua. Thank you for giving me your love."

Josh smiled, his finger rubbing Lucas' cheek.

"So what's got you all pensive and thoughtful this morning, my love? Justin told me of the ending of the meeting last night. Of your words of family privacy and future truths."

Lucas sighed, looking into Josh's blue eyes.

"I took it upon myself to right a wrong path, Josh. Or rather two wrong paths. And to do that I may have. . ." Lucas said, his eyes lowering.

"You may have overextended your love?"

Lucas' head raised, staring into Josh's blue pools.

"My love is unending, Josh. I would give it for anyone."
Josh smiled, leaning upwards and kissing Lucas on the lips, the younger man feeling his warm love.

"I know that, Lucas. We all know that. Whatever you did I sense others now know as well."

Lucas nodded, his face showing a thoughtful look.

"I didn't want to risk that, but he gave me no choice. I had to do it. I hated doing it, but I had to do it. For their sakes."

Lucas sat up, Josh rising upwards, his arms going around his man.

"You used your magic, didn't you, Lucas? That's what's bothering you." Josh said, their eyes meeting.

"Yes, Josh. And I used a gift I didn't even sense I had."

"What was that, my love?"

"It was the path of truth, Joshua. I guided four onto a path of their own truths."

Josh stared at Lucas, their conversation interrupted by Lucas' cell phone going off on the nightstand.

Lucas reached across Josh's smooth chest, picking it up and answering it.

"Good morning, Lucas speaking?" he said, Josh staring at him, his arms going around him.

"Yes, that is alright. It isn't necessary. Alright, if you must. Yes, I understand it's his request. Thank you. How are they?" Lucas said, a voice talking on the phone.

"Good to hear. Yes, it's alright. How about nine-thirty? See you then." Lucas said, closing off his phone, his violet eyes meeting Josh's blue.

Josh saw a familiar look in Lucas' violet pools, the young man sighing again.

"We're having breakfast guests. I should shower and get cooking." Lucas said, looking at the clock radio on the nightstand, the hour reading seven.

"Who's coming for breakfast, Lucky?" Josh said, Lucas smiling at him with love.

"The walkers of that path of truth, my love." Lucas said, the young man rising out of the bed, Josh staring at his man's revealed nakedness.

Lucas smiled at him, their eyes meeting with love.

"Are you alright, my love?" Josh said, Lucas smiling more.

"Nothing your loving wet arms won't cure, my beauty. I need you under the waters of our love, Joshua. Your love calms my soul always."
Josh smiled, the man climbing out of their bed, Lucas now taking in his lover's revealed beauty.

He smiled, seeing Josh's center gaining girth, the younger man smiling.

"A wet round one. I must be in heaven."

Josh smiled, following his man towards the bathroom, Josh's blue pools of love staring at his man with guarding love.

Josh's eyes met Finn's, the two seated at the breakfast table with everyone, Lucas at the counter working.

Lance and Justin had both just arrived, Josh having called them at Lucas' request, the two seated at the table as well.

They'd been surprised when they'd followed Andrew into the kitchen, seeing everyone seated, Lucas working away at the stove and counter, his morning culinary feast in full swing.

"He won't let us help." Trish said, she kissing Justin's cheek when he sat down beside her.

"The master and his domain." Lance said, Lucas smiling towards him.

"I have a white outfit and everything." he smiled, Josh blushing, Finn laughing.

"Something tells me they're soiled already." he grinned, Lucas laughing at the counter, Josh smiling towards his soulmate.

"Definitely, Finny. You can smell them later."
Lucas laughed, Josh the orator of those words, Finn blushing again.

"No thanks, I'll have a full stomach. Your stank will make me upchuck." he said, his blue eyes meeting Lucas' smiling face.

"Please, Finny. We're about to eat." Skyler said, sipping her coffee, Finn blushing at her.

"Sorry, dear."

Skyler smiled, kissing his cheek.

Finn smiled, looking at Lucas again.

He saw his friend pulling out two trays of biscuits from the oven, the man staring at his friend.

"You're cooking a feast, Lukey. Josh said you've invited more friends? Joey and the Chrises? That might not be enough for those beasts." Finn smiled, Lucas looking towards him with a smile.

"Just some new friends, Finny. And some familiar to others." Lucas said, the young man placing the trays on the counter.

The front buzzer went off, Harry rising from his seat, Lucas' eyes meeting his.

"It's okay, Harry. It's for me." Lucas said, the young man sighing, staring at the tray he'd set down.

The young man seemed deep in thought, sighing again.

Josh rose from his seat, everyone looking around at each other.

"Everything alright, my love?" Josh said, his arm going around his Lucas.

Lucas raised his head, staring into Josh's blue eyes.

"It's as right as it must be. I just have to bear it." he said, his eyes moving towards the table.

"Excuse me, guys." he said, the young man moving, walking towards the kitchen door, Josh following him.

Everyone traded looks, the group as one rising from their seats, walking through the kitchen door, following their friends into the living room.

Lucas stopped in front of the front door, looking at Josh.

"Open the door, Josh." he said, the young man remaining still, Josh looking at him.

Josh moved, opening the front door of the condo, staring into three sets of blue eyes.

And three calm faces.

"Good morning, Josh. Lucas invited us for breakfast." one said, Josh nodding, opening the door wider.

"Come in then." he said, looking at all three with quiet surprise.

The three walked into the room, stopping when they saw Lucas standing in front of them.

Everyone standing behind the young man looked surprised as well, staring at the three who walked in.

Lucas' violet eyes met the two blue pools staring at him in the center of the three, the young singer smiling softly.

"Good morning, my friends. Welcome to my home and my friendship."

The one in the middle suddenly sobbed, rushing across the room, wrapping his arms around the young man, sobbing into his chest.

"Thank you, Lucas! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" he sobbed, Lucas' arms going around the young man he held.

The other two were staring at the two young men, their eyes showing wetness as well, everyone staring with surprise at the sudden outburst of emotion.

Josh stared at his Lucas, seeing the familiar look again in his lover's violet pools.

Josh smiled, his concern evaporating.

Lucas was showing his familiar signs of reluctant acceptance at being thanked, Josh smiling more.

Lucas' violet pools met another young face of tearful happiness.

"He's been wanting to do that since last night, Lucas." Craig said, Lucas smiling softly at him, his hand rubbing Aaron Carter's back, the young singer wrapped in his arms.

Lucas' eyes met Nick Carter's, the singer standing beside Craig now, the two staring at Nick's younger emotional brother.

Lucas' moved his eyes, meeting Aaron's tear-filled blue, the man smiling and stepping back from the young singer.

"Thank you, Lucas. For giving me my life back, for giving me happiness." Aaron said, Lucas' eyes lowering for a moment, then meeting the young man's blue pools again.

"I need no thanks for guiding the path of life always, my friends. It was always destined that your paths would join as one and life would be rectified. Love has a way of filtering through any heartache or pain." Lucas said, the young man stepping back more, releasing the young man standing in front of him.

"Lucas. . .what you did! What you made me see!" Nick said, Lucas looking at the older Carter brother.

"You just needed to focus your soul on what mattered, on what was hidden from you. And from what lay within your own soul." Lucas said, Nick lowering his eyes, Craig's arm going around him.

Everyone stood in silence, taking in this scene of emotion and surprising drama.

"What's going on, Lucky?" Josh said, breaking the silent awed wonder blanketing the room.

Aaron's blue tearing pools staring at Lucas, the young man smiling towards Craig.

"Your man needs your love, Craig. And I need to finish readying breakfast. Have a seat everyone." Lucas said, the young man moving, walking back through his friends, then into the kitchen.

Everyone's eyes followed him, then turned back to the three standing in the living room, Craig having released Nick, the young jewellery clerk walking up to Aaron, his arms going around him, Aaron's head going against his chest.

"He. . .he didn't want my thanks, Cray." Aaron said, half crying, Craig rubbing his back.

"It's alright, my love. Let's sit down and await his returning love." Craig said, motioning the young man to the nearest couch, the two sitting down.

Josh stared at the two, his eyes then going to Nick's blue pools as the man walked up to his old friend.

"Your man is life itself, Josh. I've never. . .we've never. . .the depth of his real self! He's amazing!" Nick said, his hand going to Josh's shoulder, Josh staring at his friend.

The two at one time had had a brief interlude, their friendship not changing, but both going on separate paths.
Josh had also heard of Nick's wanton desires and the paths of conquest he'd walked.

He didn't see that look in the man's eyes anymore.

"What's happened, Nick? What did my Lucas do?"

Nick's eyes went to the kitchen door, then to Justin and Lance's staring pools.

"Your Lucas made all of us bare our souls, Josh. And he made me see the truth of myself and what Zac had done. And then he did an unbelievable thing." Nick said, his face showing a soft look of awed wonder.

"Zac? What does he have to do with this?" Justin said, Nick's eyes moving to his brother's face, Aaron's head laying against Craig's chest.

Nick's eyes met Justin's and then Lance's.

"Zac Efron was never my friend. He was and only ever was a wolf in sheep's clothing. And my brother was the lamb he devoured." Nick said, his voice edged with emotion.

Everyone looked surprised and confused, another voice breaking the silence.

"God tempers the wind to the bared lamb. But his soul remains warmed by hope and truth."

All eyes were staring at two violet eyes, Lucas standing in the kitchen doorway.

"Breakfast is ready, my friends. But first I think we must talk of truths and life." Lucas said, the young man walking across the room, standing in front of the couch where Craig and Aaron were seated, Aaron raising his head, staring up at Lucas' soft warm smiling face.

"You are surrounded by my friends, Aaron. By old friends of your brother's, and by friends of my heart."

Aaron nodded, the young man sitting up more, Craig sitting beside him, his arm around his now revealed boyfriend.

"Sit down with your brother, Nick. Please, everyone. Sit down." Lucas said, the young man moving, walking up to the living room panoramic window, Josh staring at him as everyone sat down, Nick sitting down on his brother's side.

"I trust you, Lucas. If they're your friends, then I trust them as well." Aaron said, Nick looking at his brother, their eyes meeting.

"The first step to openness and renewal is trust, Nickolas." Lucas said, the young man staring at him.

Nick nodded, looking around at his friends, and their friends.

"I trust you as well, Lucas. Your showing us the truth makes you our friend." he said, Lucas' eyes lowering, his violet pools turning to the windows, staring out into the morning sun.

"I walk paths of truths, Nickolas. Some I walk with love, some I walk with destiny. Yours was a path I chose myself to set right." Lucas said, still staring out into the sunlit morning.

"Why did you chose it, Lucas? What made our lives so worthy of your interference?" Craig said, Lucas' violet pools turning, staring into the young man's blue pools.

"I saw in your eyes deep love, Craig. Deep emotional love. I saw that the day I met you in that jewellery store." Lucas said, Josh walking up to Lucas.

"You've met Craig before?" he said, Lucas nodding.

"Yes, Josh. I met him by perchance yesterday morning. And in his blue pools of tormented love I saw a deeper truth. A truth I had to set right. For in another pair of deeper pools of truth I saw the answer to Craig's pain."

Craig rose from his seat, walking up to Lucas.

"In my eyes? You. . .you knew I was with Aaron through my eyes?"

Lucas stared at him, the young man smiling a soft smile of calmness.

"Yes, Craig. The eyes are the gateway to the soul. Your eyes show only Aaron's love. And behind that love I saw the anger. The anger at the one who hurt your soulmate."

Craig's eyes lowered, Lucas' hand going to the young man's shoulder.

"I. . .I. . .I wanted to kill him, Lucas! I wanted him to. . ."

Harry stared at the young man, remembering that he'd asked him if he had a gun.

Harry's eyes stared at his cousin, sensing Lucas had easily seen the anger and hurt in the young man's blue pools beforehand.

The young man looked at his cousin.

"That note you gave Craig? You invited him to the party!" Harry said, Lucas nodding, everyone looking confused.

Harry quickly told them of the note Lucas had written in the jewellery store and that he'd handed it to Craig in privacy.

Everyone's eyes moved to Craig and Lucas, the young clerk looking around at everyone.

"I still have the note. I now understand what it was." Craig said, pulling the note from the breast pocket of the leather jacket he wore.

He unfolded it, looking around, his voice filling the silent room.

Dear friend.

Walk into life, walk into truth.

I have the answer to your pain, to your love's deeper pain.

Come to this address tonight and face his past.

Stave off the feelings of anger, greater feelings lay forward.

Hope, life and love.

I have the answer to all three.

It begins in your Aaron's heart.

And in my truth.

Trust me to guide you both forward to his redeeming love.

A friend of gathering love, Lucas.

Craig finished, looking at Lucas.

"He wrote the restaurant's address after his name, and the time and room of your party, Josh."

Everyone's eyes looked at Lucas, the young man sighing.

"I had to voice enough intrigue and hope within the note to have Craig bring Aaron to the party as well. I see it was enough." he said, looking at the young man staring at him.

"Enough? You voiced the truth of my and Aaron's relationship in those words, Lucas. How you knew of it I now know. And I see that you spoke words of truth. You gave us the answer to the three, Lucas. You gave us hope, life and love." Craig said, his eyes showing tears again, Lucas squeezing his shoulder again.

"I took it upon myself to walk your path, Craig. I'm glad it ended as I had hoped it would."

Aaron stood up, the young man walking up to the two, staring into Lucas' violet pools.

"How. . .how did you sense the truth, Lucas? My. . .my truth?" he said, Lucas staring at him.

"The greater love in Craig's eyes is yours, Aaron. That resonates from your own self. You might say I took a flight down the path of your love for Craig. And that brought me into your soul. And there I saw the truth. The truth you needed to show your brother, in hopes of your own soul finding peace. And from that peace you could focus on the love you needed. Craig's love."

Craig's arm went around Aaron, the young man seeing his lover's emotions gaining again.

"It was a path of great love, guys. My. . .my magic felt much." Lucas said, his eyes lowering again.

Josh stared at him, his arm going around him.

"I feel your love, Joshua. Ours mirrors theirs." Lucas said, Josh smiling at him, then looking at the two young men joined in front of him.

"Then theirs must be beautiful." he said, the two young men smiling and looking at each other.
Craig smiled, kissing Aaron's cheek, Aaron staring into his blue eyes.

"I must let it all out, Cray. My heart needs its openness for me to live."

Lucas smiled, hearing the strength in the young man's voice, and the love.

"Alright, my love. I will be by your side."

Lucas' eyes went around the room, Aaron's hand going to the young man's shoulder, their eyes meeting.

"Let me tell the story of your guiding love, Lucas. And of its redemption in all our souls." Aaron said, the young man nodding, looking at Josh.

"Let's sit down, my love. A friend wants to open his soul. Let's all listen to its truth." Lucas said, the young man walking towards the couch where Nick sat, Lucas and Josh sitting down beside him, Nick looking at Lucas, the young man's hand going to his shoulder.

"Your brother's courage is his heart, Nickolas. Let's let him reveal its truths."

Nick nodded, looking at his brother.

Aaron stood in front of the window, Craig at his side, their hands joining, everyone seeing their deep love for each other.

"Lucas gave my Cray that note yesterday afternoon, everyone. And Craig showed it to me when he got home after work last night. I read the meaning of those simple words for what they truly meant. That someone knew of my truth, of my shame and pain." the young man said, Craig's arm going around him.

"I decided to go to the party to find out what you knew, Lucas." Aaron said, staring at the young man, Lucas quietly staring back.

"I didn't realize until you closed that office door how deeply the truth was embedded within your soul and within my own." Aaron said, Craig pulling him a little closer.

"It's alright, my love. Speak of the past and of him." Craig said, his eyes showing a soft emotion, Lucas staring at him.

"When Lucas closed the door on all of us, he centered himself against the truth. The truth I and my love knew of, but my brother did not. And Lucas then drew that truth out of me, so that I could face my brother with it. And that truth in the end might save my brother's own soul." Aaron said, Nick staring at him with tears.

Everyone saw the emotion on the young man's face and on Nick's.

"Let the past go, my love. Let's walk into the life and love Lucas has given us." Craig said, Aaron smiling at him, his blue pools meeting Lucas'.

"Last night my guardian angel saved my life and my Cray's. For my life was on a path of destruction, and Cray's was on a path of anger."

Nick lowered his head, Lucas' arm going around him.

"I'll start at the moment the door closed. And of the flying evil that flew across the room." Aaron said, everyone looking in confusion at the young man, Aaron's eyes on Lucas' violet.

"You are magic, Lucas. For Zac never saw you hit him but he felt the force that pinned him against the wall."

Aaron moved, walking up to Lucas standing in front of him.

"And then you drew out the truth from all of us. And my heart can now live." Aaron said, the young man's voice filling the room, the previous night's truths unfolding.
