That's Impossible, isn't it?

Chapter 28

"Guys, strap yourselves in, and right now, we are going down!" Billa yelled and we did as he instructed, Craig looked out of his side window and yelled at Billa.

"Head for the lake!"

Billa looked at the opposite side of the bridge and spotted what he hoped would be deep enough to skim the surface, he also noticed on his console that it had an impact suppressor; he flipped the switch as the shuttle began to drop at a cruising angle just as the engines cut out.

"Brace yourselves," Billa added as we impacted the water, skimming the surface and flipping over several times, we came to a stop but upside down and the cabin began to fill with water.

Craig had released himself as the water was now flooding the cabin at an astounding pace, Billa was out cold and I told Craig to get him out, Lacka was trying to get free but his belt had jammed, I released myself and tried to get him out, Craig had released Billa and put some sort of floatation collar around his neck, he popped the door and eased him out.

"Craig, he's stuck!" I yelled as he came back into the cabin.

"You get out, go help Billa. I'll get Lacka out, now move." he ordered me and with some authority in his voice that would have me aroused under different circumstances.

I swam out of the door and swam to a still out cold Billa; I noticed a cut on the side of his head where he had obviously smacked it on the bulkhead.

I looked behind me as the shuttle began to sink. "Craig!!!!" I screamed as the shuttle succumbed and sank.

I watched for a few seconds and began to swim towards the area of lake where it went down, as I approached, both Craig and Lacka swam to the surface.

"You okay?" I asked as I swam to Craig who was struggling for breath.

"Yeah," he coughed out.

"Yeah, I'm fine, too, thanks for asking" Lacka added and I smiled a wry smile.

"Sorry, man," I added.

Thirty or so minutes later, we were on the shore, composing ourselves and Lacka had patched up Billa's head wound.

"We need to get moving, this was no accident," Lacka added.

"Yeah, no shit, Sherlock" I said with a little distain in my voice, I helped Billa to his feet and we headed south towards the city we were intending to go to.

About an hour later, we heard shuttles approaching our direction and coming from behind us.

"Over hear!" Lacka yelled and we ran toward some rocks and what could only be described as caves, we ducked inside and watched as the two shuttles flew overhead, one hovered over us before reversing and heading back toward the lake as the other continued toward the city.

"They might have been looking to help," Craig added as we left the cave and headed toward the city once again.

"Craiglessty, what does your gut tell you?" Lacka asked.

"Yeah, you are probably right; we need to somehow inform Judak, the infiltrator is closer to home than he thinks" Craig replied.

"Huh?" was my total response.

"That guy, the one in velvet, he knew a lot about the device, he even knew how to operate it, shit, he even knew its name, we have been looking for it for ages and we didn't even know its name, and he made sure we got on that exact shuttle, and I do not think it was coincidence," Craig added, a little pissed.

"There is nothing we can do about that now, we have to get to the city and try and contact him, but how do we do that, we don't exactly have his phone number," I added.

"I can contact him," Lacka said.

"How, I mean how can you contact him?" I asked.

"My Brother, Judak was his emergency informant, he has a chip in his hip, it sends information to his subconscious, it will be like he is dreaming, but able to retain the information, and nobody can track it," Lacka added and opened a small black covered box retrieved from his jacket.

"It needs to charge, the sun will charge it, but it will take a short while," Lacka added.

"How have you got that?" Craig asked wondering how he had acquired it from his best friend and yeah, okay, Lacka's twin brother.

"Levert gave it to me, along with some of his affects, I knew what it was and who was connected to it, I thought it might prove useful, but once it has been used it is finished, it burns out," Lacka added.

After the device had sufficient charge, Lacka switched it on,

"Judak, the engines were tampered with, we are fine, contact me via secure link," Lacka ended, and the device began to smoke.

"Shit Mission Impossible, this message will self-destruct in five seconds," I added with a serious smile spreading across my face, Lacka looked a little confused as did Billa.

"Secure Link?" Craig asked and I missed that bit.

Lacka pulled out a small communicator and opened it, it looked just like a smart phone from earth, but since my dad only let me have a cheap as shit one, shit off topic, it looked like a flip phone anyway.

"How do we know if Judak has received it?" I asked.

"Well if this alerts us, then he's received it," Lacka said looking at me as though I was an idiot, okay, yeah I did sound a little simple at this point, but fuck!!

"Sorry, Bobby, just a little distracted," Lacka added and bowed his head slightly.

We waited a couple of hours before we decided to continue, we were about 7 miles off of the city of Homo and sorry but that still kills me, but I digress.

I was starving by this point and so were the others, we spent about two hours sitting looking over the brow of a hill, we could see the second shuttle with a couple of guards standing beside it, and yeah, so was the man in satin.

"He's making sure we never made it," Lacka said.

Soon, though the communicator had begun to vibrate, Lacka opened it and placed it on the ground, it was like the disk that Craig had and Judak materialised before us.

"Thank goodness you are okay, what happened?" he asked.

"Judak, your assistant, we think he had our engines tampered with" Lacka added.

"Are you sure? I'll have him questioned immediately," he replied and began to talk to someone off to the side.

"They have gone to look for him," he added.

"Judak, you will not find him, he is next to a shuttle on the outskirts of the city, I'm looking at him right now," Lacka added.

"damn, this thing only lets me see what is directly in front of it" he said

"Judak, it's him, he must be working for Litral" Craig added and again looked over the hill.

"They are taking off," I added.

"Just lay flat on the ground, we will just look like rocks," Lacka said and turned off the communicator just before the shuttle flew directly over us, we stayed until we could not hear it anymore.

"Okay, come on, we will go further north and come in from the side, just in case Litral has other informants working near by," Lacka said as we headed along a ridge heading north towards the city.

I wrapped an arm around Craig's arm and whispered into his ear.

"If I see a sign reading Welcome to Homo, I will shit myself," I said and Craig snickered a little at that.

"Not the time babe," Craig replied and I frowned a little, just trying to make light of our situation and it's falling flat.

"I know what you are trying to do, Bobby, but Billa and Lacka are trained soldiers and well, I have had a little training, so joviality fails at this moment," he added squeezing my ass as he walked ahead of us and caught up with Billa.

"Have you had any training?" Lacka asked as he walked up to me.

"Huh?" was my subtle reply.

"Well your father is a soldier, isn't he?" he added.

"Erm yeah, a Major," I replied.

"So, have you...Training?" he repeated.

"Erm some boy scouts, my mother didn't want me to join the army, too many deaths in useless conflicts as for as she was concerned," I replied.

"It would have come in handy right about now, though...right?" I asked.

And he just lightly nodded.

We walked for what seemed miles. We skirted along a ridge until we could find a place to get lower and head into the city, the communicator we were carrying sounded in Lacka's pocket, he placed it back on the ground and Judak appeared again.

"Are you still okay?" he started.

"Look, we interrogated the guard, it was not Beltron," he started.

"Beltron?" I asked

"The satin guy as you called him," Judak replied.

"So why was he here," Lacka asked.

"He sent the first transport back, he suspected something was wrong as he found a fuel cell discarded and when he checked, it was from your craft," he added. Beltron hoped you survived, when he came back he informed me and took the guard into custody, he also told me he was working for an associate of Litral, a confidant called Bide, he is very loyal to his sect it appears" Judak informed.

"I met him, the first day we all arrived, he was with your father Craig," I replied.

"Yes, I know him, he is an enforcer for the senate," Lacka added his opinion.

"He also said he has Litral's sister, he helped arrange her capture, Craiglessty, she is being held in the city, they plan to kill her as soon as they locate her brother and the time device, we need to find them, Craiglessty." Judak instructed.

"Billa, Lacka, I need you to locate where they are holding her and signal us to come in, we don't want to alert them as to the fact we know they are still on Krile" Judak added

"Good luck," he added and the communication ended

"Shit!!" I spat out.

Craig and Lacka snickered a little.

"Oh that was funny, huh?" I bemoaned.

"Nope, it's just a little funny," Lacka added.

"What is?" I asked.

"Oh, six weeks have passed, Judak was a farm hand and now he is a leader and a confident one at that, he has taken to his roll very well," Lacka added.

"Oh, I think having a god as back up helps a little," I added.

"Okay, so we need to get inside of the city, we need to get to where she was living, we know her approximate living area, if they are holding her, she will not be too far from there," Billa said as he opened up his back pack.

He opened up a small case and placed it on the ground, he put his computer cube against it, he tapped in a few details, I just looked lost, Billa looked at me and saw my confusion.

"All Krile are on a blood database," he started.

"What, like DNA?" I asked.

"Sorry," he replied

"It's like a map of humanity, or anything living I should say," I added and he nodded in agreement

"You have her DNA?" I asked.

"No, we have Litral's," he replied.

"Yes, but she is only a half-sister," I added.

"That is okay, I only need a 30% match, and it will locate her as a familial match, but we need to be within fifty feet of her to get an alarm," he added.

We headed into the city from the west, I was surprised at what I could see, it looked Arabian of sorts, an old city, I mean like you saw on star wars, shit more sci-fi.

"What are you thinking about Bobby?" Craig asked as we headed into the city towards the area Litral's sister lived.

"Nothing, but if imperial storm troopers chase us, you can play with your own light sabre...get my drift" I smirked and picked up my pace.

"Hey, wait up!" he yelled back at me and I slowed just a tad.

He caught up to me as we entered Homo, and I refuse to laugh anymore at this point.

"Hey, it's been a few days since... Well...erm... my light sabre ...well you know," he whispered.

"Must be almost in your sock" I then laughed, and he frowned.

"I would say you would get blue balls... But let's face it, your balls are blue," I added.

"Billa, we can rest someplace for a few? I need to check on your wound." I heard Lacka inform Billa as we turned a corner and saw a market taking place.

"Here that looks like some sort of inn," I added, and we headed over and sat down. Lacka ordered drinks as he was fluent in local dialects and well we were not.

"Do you have any rooms available?" I heard him ask, I do not understand how I knew he asked that, but I have given up trying to work out how things work around here.

Lacka received a couple of cards and pointed upstairs, and we followed them and Billa looked a little worn out.

"Okay, guys, four hours then we have to get going, I'll take Billa and you can take that one," he said to us and an eager Craig grabbed the card and we entered the room, I walked in and I could not believe what I saw as I turned to face Craig, his pants were already off.

"Horny little Smurf." I laughed and pulled him into my arms, his dick now hanging near his knees had my mouth watering.

"Do you think four hours is enough?" I asked and he just licked my neck and bit my lobe.

"Depends, on how many loads we can dispense." he laughed, dropping to his knees to remove my clothing.

To be continued...
