Ok, guys, All the disclaimers apply, that means all thanks goes to Marvel for the X-Men, I'm just making the story. And I do read all the other stories, and they're great, keep up the good work. They inspire me!

I was tense all month long and everyone knew why. Class was even tougher and after class, I went back to my room, trying to avoid all the Brotherhood members. I laid on my bed and wished for an answer, then my door opened and Scott walked in.

" Sorry, I'll just...are you okay?" Scott asked, surveying the room.

I turned over to see him without a shirt, " I should put a shirt up that says 'clothing optional', huh?" I said, watching him carefully.

" Yeah, sorry about that, I just....I want to introduce you to someone. You haven't really met formally, so here he is, my brother, Alex Summers." Scott said, ushering someone into the room.

When Alex walked in, I thought there were two Scotts, but his long, blonde hair set them apart. He had an air about him, a less stiff air that Scott could never have.

I shook his hand, " Hi, we've met, but...it was under different circumstances." I said, surveying him carefully.

" Yeah, never a dull moment at Mutant U." he chuckled.

The Phoenix < He's cute. Another Summer...do you think you could handle another one?>

I smiled < Ok, how do you even know he's...>

The Phoenix <Does it matter? The life you're trying so desperately to have, the life of a superhero, is not one that leads to fun and games...or happiness.>

" So exactly why are you here anyways? I mean, why the sudden return?" I asked without thinking.

Pane < Do you honestly think that will happen to me?>

The Phoenix laughed < Never. If you haven't noticed, you're very different.>

Scott cleared his throat, " No time, you have Danger Room...are you feeling alright?"

I nodded and they left. It was not the typical Danger Room, especially since the Brotherhood was there. It was a toughie. We had to learn different strategies and it bummed me out. Afterward, I went outside and sat under a tree. I was alone outside when I saw the Earth move.

I smiled, " Lance...making the Earth move for me. clever, so what do I owe this pleasure?" I asked, looking up at him.

" You know, they're really trying to help you...Summers is even doin his part. He's buying flowers as we speak. I think I just got a toothache." Lance shuddered.

The Phoenix

Pane <You think?>

The Phoenix <His teammate, John, was your...>

Pane < ...No, but we did have feelings for each other.>

" Hello!" Lance said, waving his hand in front of my face.

" That's what I like about him...I think you're jealous." I smirked, standing up.

" Well, look at you...why shouldn't I be? I love you." Lance blushed.

I blushed too, and kissed his cheek, then walked back to the mansion.

As I stumbled through the door, I bumped into Logan, who was staring at the Brotherhood table.

" Hi short stuff, how's things?" Logan said, not tearing his eyes away from Sabretooth.

" I think you already know the answer to that. I'm a little here...a little there, how are you doing with Sabretooth so close?" I asked, looking with him.

He growled! He was so sexy in a bad boy way and to be honest, I wanted to throw him down on the floor and have sex with him right there, but I knew better than that.

" I'm gonna go now, see ya later Logan." I said, walking away.

" Later, bub." He said, still not looking at me.

I entered the kitchen and walked past the Brotherhood table, but stopped at the sound of John, a.k.a. Pyro, laughing. As I got closer to the table, it stopped.

" I need a laugh, John, got any funny news." I asked carefully.

" Well, there is the pathetic dream that Xavier has...or if you're in a very dark place, the fact that you all share it. You so much that you'd leave us to come back." John said smugly, gaining laughs from the others.

The Phoenix < Say something...why would you let him talk to you like this?>

Pane < I...he...>

The Phoenix < You are not an average person and he cannot talk to you like this! We have a right to defend ourselves at all costs.>

" Pathetic? Do you still need a lighter to start your fires?" I smirked, receiving a deadly look from him.

" You're not very bright are you, playing with fire. I'm the only one that should play with fire." John said quietly.

The Phoenix <At all costs!>

I placed my hand on his knee, " Wrong. You shouldn't play with fire...you could always get burned." I said, casting the illusion that he was on fire! He freaked out, with everyone looking on, and I caught eyes with Scott, who was carrying what Lance had mentioned earlier. He had an unreadable look on his face, so I smiled and exited the cafeteria, smiling to myself, and someone caught my eye.

" That was funny, a bit rushed...I'll give you a 9.5. You make me wanna become a good guy...almost. Nobody appreciates you like I would. Not even that overgrown icemaker or shades in there." Lance said, walking closer.

" Even if that were true, and it's not, I love these people. I love him." I smiled, wondering if he could do what he promised...if he could love me like they couldn't. I noticed Scott for the first time, wearing a triumphant smirk.

" Lance, your not trying to make a move on my guy are you? I might have to show you how a real leader does things." Scott said happily.

" Watch it, Summers, wouldn't want him to see you get your ass kicked, now would we?" Lance smiled falsely.

Scott's voice rose, " I've beat you so many times, once more won't hurt." he said, attracting people.

Embarrassed, I fled the scene, with Scott on my heels.

When I finally stopped, I found myself in my room. Scott came in and shut the door behind himself, then turned to me as if he had something to say, then paused.

" Look, I'm really sorr..." Scott began, but I shoved my tongue down his throat and we kissed for the first time in a while. It felt so good!

I broke the kiss, " You're so stiff...and when you're jealous, it turns me on!" I said, looking into his glasses.

" We do need to tal..." Scott said, but before he could say anything else, I shoved my tongue down his throat again! We fell backwards onto the bed once again. Before I knew what happened, I woke up a few hours later. I went to the window and looked out onto the campus. When I turned to go back to Scott, my hand brushed against it and I had a vision that my father would knock on the door in a few minutes and I hurried to find my clothes.

"Hey! Where are you going?" Scott said groggily, " I want an encore!" he said, smiling at me.

I smiled at Scott, debating returning to the bed, then moved past him and into the hall. I walked fast, and turned the corner only to find Pietro waiting.

" Hiya kiddo. Look, I know things are...weird around here, but me and Wanda aren't with Magneto, we're here to help." Pietro said quickly.

I sighed, " If that's true, then why is Magneto and the Brotherhood here?" I asked.

" I don't know, we're not with the Brotherhood...we're with the Avengers." Pietro said.

" So, why?" I asked.

" Why what?" Pietro asked cautiously.

" Why is everyone keeping secrets? Why is everyone springing things on me that could have been explained to me?! I could have been notified that I was supposed to...who is my mother's father?" I asked, wanting a real explanation.

" I was..we were different people then. We thought the less you knew, the better and there are things...people change. You already know your mother's father." Pietro said gently.

" Thanks." I said, walking away.

He watched me walk away, " You're welcome, son." Pietro said quickly.

The next day, I found myself being summoned to a "special" lesson. Jean and Ororo stopped their conversation immediately.

" Hey, teach...es, what am I learning today? More elementals or telekinetics?" I joked.

The Phoenix < Jean Grey.>

Jean < Phoenix.>

The Phoenix < I hope all is well.>

Jean < How are you talking to me?>

Pane < DON'T! Life is scary enough without hearing anything else that might make me angry.>

" Actually, Pane, you shall be studying with Mastermind and Mystique." Ororo said apologetically.

Jean must have seen the shocked look on my face because she said, " Look, there are things we can't teach you and you need to learn to use the full extent of your powers." she said in her most sympathetic tone.

I nodded.

" We are indeed sorry." Ororo said, walking away with Jean.

I was left with my new teachers. They taught me more than I knew before, that's for sure. Other than commands, there was no interaction, which was weird. Magneto would have surely tried to use them to recruit me...they seemed to be shier than usual. we trained from before the sun was up, to after the sun sat heavily in the sky. I started walking back up to the mansion, I felt someone searching for me. I figured out the signature, too, it was Bobby.

" Hey, can we talk." Bobby said, reaching me.

" Sure." I said, still walking.

I hadn't talked to him lately, not since I'd been at the Med Bay and even then it wasn't a good conversation. I had scolded him for worrying about me, I think I was even a little nervous around him this time. My crush had blossomed to love and it was a weird feeling. To go from friends to...better friends. I didn't make contact with him until he started talking again.

" Look, I know you're mad, but we've been friends since we met at your house...we have a bond, a really strong one. And you may not want to hear it, but I worry about you." Bobby said carefully.

" I know...bitter isn't the best look for me. I was wrong and I'm lucky to have people who care for me enough to worry when I start being too reckless. I'm sorry for making you worry." I said, blushing.

He smiled, " Friends?" he asked.

" The best." I said, walking on.

I awoke to my phone vibrating on the counter and picked it up. Scott rolled over and grabbed me around my waist, causing me to lean backwards into him. I finally answered the phone to hear my mother's voice. She enlightened me on what was happening back home, which was nothing. After about an hour and 224654 hugs from Scott later, I told her about the Brotherhood and she got worried, so worried that I told her that I had to hang up quickly to take a shower. When I got back, Scott had gone to the Danger Room, to which I made my way to after class everyday for the next two weeks. Soon it got very monotonous and I desperately needed a change. I decided that I would go into Manhattan.

Scott was irate, " Professor! That is not wise! I mean with the sentinels and Mesmero...not to mention all the other crazy things that seem to follow us lately. (To me) Please, take someone with you at least." he said, angry at the idea of me not being close to home.

I sighed, " No, I need me time...that means time just for me to be with...um, you know, me." I said sarcastically.

" You're not considering this, are you Charles? Charles, if you won't stop him, I will! I forbid you!" Magneto said shouted, raising from his chair.

I smiled, " I have my phone and I'll be back soon. Thanks Professor." I said, disappearing.

I couldn't tell them the real reason I was here, to find Spider-Man (Peter Parker), he worked at the Daily Bugle. His aunt was May Parker and his Uncle died a few years back. His wife had disappeared a while back without any explanation, a Mary Jane Parker. You're be amazed what google could find. I figured if I was going to find him again, I'd go where I found him the first time, The Café. I was about to cross the street when I saw something green fly by, followed closely by something blue and red! "SPIDEY!" I thought, following them. by the time I got to the roof, I saw nothing, but I walked farther onto the roof, but still saw nothing. I heard a buzz gradually get louder, so I turned and instantly saw green! Whatever the hell it was, it had picked me up!

" Hey! Put him down, he had nothing to do with this!" Spider-man shouted, swinging towards us.

I had seen him on tv...the Green Goblin!

" Did my father?!" Green Goblin shouted crazily.

" Ok, what does this have to do with me?" I said in a bored tone.

He dropped me, but Spidey caught me!

I stared at him, " Well, aren't you my hero." I said, smiling.

He put me on the roof, " Hey, you're not stalking me, are you? What brings you back?" he smiled.

" No and yes. Guess I have a thing for guys in sui....WATCH OUT!" I said, putting my hand up and freezing a bomb in mid-air, then I telekinetically knocked him off his glider and sent the bomb back at him! Spider-Man took this opportunity to kick his ass and I watched excitedly.

Spider-Man finally finished him by webbing him up, then came back to where I was, " You should get out of here, you could get in trouble." he said cautiously.

" You should stop by the mansion. It'd be a nice change, you remember where it is, right?" I asked. He nodded and I teleporting away.

I wasn't quite finished in the city and I had to see one more person, so I popped into his room...Bad Idea!

I looked from Johnny to the woman, " Oh, my...GOSH! I'm sorry, I didn't...I'm gonna, I'll..." I said running out of the room, but he came up behind me and whirled me around.

" Look, I'm an adult and I can do what I want!" he ranted.

" I understand, I'm..." I started, but he interrupted again.

" I mean you don't hear me bitching about Scott! And...What?!" Johnny continued shouting.

My face had gone from understanding to almost crying in a matter of seconds, " You're right, I'll just let you get back to..." I said, turning and walking away.

" Don't just go." he pleaded.

I hopped in the elevator and pressed the button.

" Please..." he pleaded even more.

I looked at him as the door closed and teleported away quickly.
