Don't like gay people, leave. Go...bye. But if you like it, read it and

Write to me.

"How's Peter?" Hannah asked, switching things around inside her wedding folder. There were patterns and fabrics and flowers and...Stuff!

"Terminally gay." I said, "How's the wedding?"

"A lot more work than it looks."

"Told ya." I smiled.

"Tell me more about Peter." Hannah said, "I mean, he's like you."

"I never tried to kill myself." I said.

"Yeah, that's one deviation." Hannah nodded, "But you like him. You barely like your own cousin."

"I like the skank." I said, "I mean...sometimes."

"She finally has a friend." Hannah said, "I'm sorta proud."

I sighed, "Honestly...we're up against Brad Wells' little brother."

"Really?"

"And Hope has a crush on him." I said, "Talk about ick."

"So, what are you going to do?" Hannah asked.

"I plan to slap some sense into my little clone." I said, "And talk to my boyfriend. And wait for backlash."

"He's going to need you and Hope when he goes back to school." Hannah said, "Maybe they have a guidance counselor position for you."

"Ha!" I said, "What about Christina and Kendall? They've been acting really weird."

"Yeah, they have." Hannah said, "I wonder what the hell their problem is."

I stood, "Happy wedding planning." I said walking to the door, "If you don't see me tomorrow...don't worry. I'm probably just doing something really gay." I said, leaving.

Chapter 52: Got a Secret...

Peter sat in his room, reading his FaceBook. People were definitely talking about him trying to commit suicide and most of it wasn't pleasant. He slammed his laptop closed and set it on the desk. His mom had totally spazzed, which he guessed was understandable. She hadn't left him alone. Adaen's mom had been over a lot and was here now. She was a nice lady and seemed to understand where he was coming from. His mom hadn't let anyone visit him yet. Not even Hope. Lillian made her go to school. There was a knock on the door and Peter sighed.

"Mom, I said..." Peter groaned.

I walked in and looked at him angrily.

"Mom!" Peter shouted.

"Oh no, sweetie, I'm not your mom." I smiled, walking over to him, "What were you thinking?"

"I was thinking that my life was over." Peter frowned.

"You ever try to kill yourself again and I'll kill you." I said, "Your life was over? And you're serious?! Man, I miss these kinds of things. I mean, you get embarrassed and your life is over."

"You don't..."

"Know what it feels like?" I asked, "Dude, have you met me?"

Peter looked away.

"I agreed to help you because I thought you were like me." I frowned, "Turns out you're nothing like me."

"So, now I'm worse than you because I..."

"You gave up!" I said, "Don't get me wrong, I've given up too but I never fully checked out on life."

"Is this where you go in on me for this? It's all my fault?" Peter asked.

"No. It's not all your fault." I frowned, "Your mom wants to send you to Rehab or something."

Peter was about to say something.

"I agree." I frowned.

Peter looked surprised, "You think sending me away is the best idea?" he asked.

"I think you need to toughen up." I frowned, "So, I talked to your mom."

"What, are you calling my dad?" Peter asked.

"No," I said, "But meet your new life coach."

"What?! What's that mean?" Peter asked.

"We'll be meeting at least twice a day and you actually have to listen to what I say." I said.

"Will there be homework?" Peter asked.

"Oh yeah." I said, "I'm officially here to help you, kid."

Peter looked at me, worried.

"This is the first day of the rest of your life...do you choose to accept your strength or give in to your weakness?" I asked.

-

Janet walked through the door and sat her purse down on the end table, along with her keys. She walked into the living room and stopped when she saw Ballard sitting on the couch. She smiled and walked over to him. Ballard had a very devious smirk on his face.

"What's going on, hubby?" Janet smiled nervously.

Ballard picked up papers off the desk, "Quickie divorce." He smirked.

"So, the divorce is final? I thought..."

"Infidelity and deception tends to speed up the process." Ballard said, leaning back.

Janet looked impressed, "I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about." She frowned.

"Really, I think you do." Ballard smiled, "Like sleeping with my sister. And aligning yourself with Jennifer was pretty much your undoing."

"And how would you know about my liaisons?" Janet asked.

"Better question is how and why did you hook up with Jennifer?" Ballard asked.

Janet sighed, "Old friends. Haven't spoken in a while, shame would she did." She said, "As for why..."

"You know, I don't even care. You and that bitch just bought yourself a whole mess of trouble." Ballard said, standing, "Get your shit and get out of my house."

Janet looked at him angrily, "I need to get my clothes and jewelry and..."

"My clothes and jewelry...Get the shit you came with and get the fuck out of my life...cupcake." Ballard smirked, walking past her.

Janet sighed, "This is not over." She said to herself.

-

"So, before I left, I put in for a job as a teacher at the school." Marco said cautiously, "It's to help me pay for school." Marco said, "It's waiting for me."

"School's already started." I said in disbelief, "And...do they know? About your...addiction?"

Marco looked at me oddly, "I know. School started. A sub is taking my classes until I get back. And of course they know? You don't sound happy." He frowned.

"No, babe, I'm happy, I just..."

"Don't know how a druggie could get a job?" Marco smiled. His anger was apparent.

"Marco..."

"You know, I've got a meeting...Bye, Adaen." Marco said, signing off.

I chuckled nervously, "That went really well." I frowned, "That's great, babe, I'm so proud of you. You're not even out of Rehab and you have a job already. Next time, say that."

"I always thought he was so cute." Christina said, standing at the door, "Your sister let me in...she's huge."

"Yeah," I said spinning around in my chair.

"I heard your dad had a kid."

"Don't." I said politely.

"Sore subject."

"He left my mom and got a chick pregnant." I said, "Why are you here? I mean...Have you ever been to my house?"

"I need your help." Christina said, "I hate to be one of those friends who comes to you when they need help..."

"You're not. Plus I owe you. Remember Jennifer."

"How could I forget the bitch?" Christina smirked, "Something bad happened. Me and Kendall were in an accident."

I stood, "Are you guys okay?" I asked.

"Chill, spazz." Christina said, "It was a hit-and-run."

"Did you call the police?" I asked.

"No." Christina shook her head, "Because Kendall and I hit somebody with our car. And we didn't wait for cops. We left."

I looked at her, wide-eyed, "Did you...kill the person?"

"No! Or yes. I don't know." Christina said, "We thought we were keeping it a secret."

I nodded.

"Somebody knows and they've been sending us these weird texts." Christina said, "And there's no number."

"Huh?"

"The number...it's like untraceable or some shit." Christina frowned.

"This sounds so familiar." I frowned, "There's not a murderer around, is there?"

"Hell if I know!" Christina said.

"What's the texts been saying?" I asked.

"I know what you did last summer...what the Hell do you think! That he or she knows and not to tell anyone and..."

"Okay, relax." I frowned.

Suddenly, both our phones rang. She pulled hers out while I walked over to the desk and picked mine up. It read, "Almost everyone knows...careful. Wouldn't want everyone to know about your secret. Welcome to the party, Adaen. Love J."

"Oh my gosh!"

"Wow, this...person is good." I frowned.

"How'd they know?" Christina asked, looking toward the window.

I looked toward the window, too. Suddenly, a shadow moved past the window and Christina and I jumped.

"Okay, seriously, this is some white people shit." I frowned.

-

"Lemme get this gay," I smirked, "You bitches ran over a whole person and left him...now someone knows and is blackmailing, not only you but me."

"We didn't want to bring anyone into this." Kendall frowned, "We didn't want anyone to know."

"I'm sorry, Ken..." Christina started.

"You told me not to tell anyone but you told someone." Kendall said angrily.

"Regardless, there's some psycho out there!" I frowned, "Actually, there's a lot of psychos."

"So, you think Jennifer is doing this?" Christina asked.

"We did kinda run her out of town." Kendall smiled.

The doorbell rung.

I nodded and headed to the door. I opened the door to see a seriously cute guy standing on my doorstep in a suit. He looked like that bully from RJ Berger, Jayson Blair.

"Adaen Lawrence?" He asked.

I nodded.

"Detective Jack Jerman." He said, shaking my hand, "I need to speak with you."

I turned back to Kendall and Christina, who looked totally mystified.

-

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed. Please give me some feedback because that's how I get started. So, I want you guys to tell me how I'm doing.
