Chapter 29: Chaos Bleeds pt. 1

"What? You attacked us?" I asked.

"Not attack, really, just called on you." Titan smirked.

I looked around, " Where's Connor? Did he come in here?" I asked.

"No." Groo said.

I turned to Titan, " What did you do?!" I asked.

"This is a game..." Titan said casually, " I need you to participate."

"What? Hell no!" I frowned, " Where are my friends?"

"They've already been transported." Titan said.

"Why haven't we?" I asked.

Titan looked at Groo, " I don't know, maybe it's because you're both wounded." he said.

"So, you're not using me?" I asked.

"Yes, I just thought I should have a strong leader." Titan said, " And you're him."

I sighed, " I can't read you. I have a feeling I'm going to kill you, though."

He handed me a vial of a potion, " This will help you wrangle them. They will appear in the Magic Shop..." he paused.

"I'm going to Sunnydale? How retro...and terrifying." I frowned.

"And I shall meet you when you have made it." Titan said, splahing me with the potion!

The world spun quickly and I found myself standing in an old, abandoned Magic Shop and standing in front of Oz. I looked around and it looked like Willow had gotten ahold of it.

"Austin?" Oz said, hugging me.

"Yeah." I said, still looking around, " Is it safe here?"

Oz nodded, " I haven't seen any demons yet, then again I haven't been outside the shop."

"Smart wolf." I smiled, " You do know what this is, right?" I asked.

He looked at me in confusion and I explained it to him.

"Oh." he said.

"Nothing else?" I asked.

"Pretty much what I'd expect." he nodded.

I nodded, " True. Looks like I need to round up the team before they end up part of the anti-living." I said, turning to walk out of the door.

"Wiat, I should go." he said.

"No." I said quickly, " I have this potion thingy and I need you to be here to explain things when I send them here. Plus I work better alone, I can cover more ground." I said, sweeping out of the shop. As I stood outside the shop, I felt scared all of a sudden. It was like Sunnydale times eight. There was no people, and by the looks of people, demons were here. I was about to start walking when I saw something move in the corner of my eye and immediate centered on it. I was shocked when I saw TARA!

"Austin!" Tara said, hugging me.

I was shocked, but made sure she had a pulse and quickly looked her up and down, " Tara?" I asked.

"It's been so long!" she said softly.

I nodded, " What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I was picked...or sent...definitely sent." Tara said quickly, " To help you." she stuttered.

"It's okay. You should stay with Oz in the Magic Shop while I find the others." I said.

"Sounds like a g-g-good plan." She stuttered, then she stretched out her hand, " Here. This should help." she said, handing me a little glass orb, " Just point and if it glows, what you're looking for should be there." she nodded.

"Thanks." I smiled.

"Won't help." A voice said, causing Tara andn I to look toward it. The voice came from Kit, Dawn and I's friend from Sunnydale high, " You're gonna get far."

"Kit? Yeah, things have changed since High School." I smiled, " YOu do know who I am, right?"

"You are...dead." she said, lunging at me. I grabbed her over and monkey-flipped her and hopped up quickly, reaching for my stake, but it wasn't there.

"Damn it!" I said, irritated at my lack of stake.

"What?! Monkey flip not working?" Kit smiled.

"Right...Tara, can you help me out?" I asked.

"Solaris!" she said and a miniature sun appeared and Kit disentegrated, " Where's your stake?"

"I don't know. Looks like I'm going to have to improvise." I groaned, " So, how much do you know?" I asked.

"Everything. I watch alot these days. We...umm, we watch....not everying, but have a pretty good concept." she paused, " Sorry, being back here is just...You mean the game, I know alot, actually."

"I have so many questions." I said.

"Later." Tara smiled, heading into the Magic Shop.

I ventured on, past the wrecked cars and the abandoned building, holding out the orb. I found that the bank set off my orb...in a totally not dirty way. And sorta in a dirty way. I like money alot. So I walked up to the bank and noticed that it was boarded up. I ran to the back of the bank and tried to open the door, but it was locked too. I could have just kicked my way in, but who knows what was in there, so I looked around for an open window and found a busted on at the top of the fire escape. I looked up at the fire escape and jumped as high as I could, grabbing the fire escape and climbing as fast as I could, then climbing through the window. I ran through the hall of the bank and saw that there was an elevator, but before I could get there five vampires jumped in my way.

"You shall not pass." the middle vampire said.

"Oh, well, game over." I joked, " Now move sparky. I need something out of there."

The vampires smiled.

I sighed, " Dead dust walking." I said, rushing them. I was fine at taking out the first three, but the fourth one knocked me through the glass cubicle and I hopped up, breaking a chair and I smiled to myself. I had a stake again, yay me! I snuck out of the door while they rushed into the cubicle and I staked two of them before they noticed I was behind them, then I blocked the middle (and biggest vampire)'s attack and kicked him in the stomach, causing him to fall backwards. I roundhouse kicked one of the two vampires left and ducked the other's attempt to punch me, grabbing his hand and punching the other with it, then rolling over his back and staking him. I then spin kicked the other into a chair, which impaled him, causing him to turn to dust. The last vampire ran at me and I breathed in and spun around, bringing the stake into his back and right into his heart! I let out a breath and jogged over to the elevator and rode it down to the vault. I grabbed the spinny-thingy and bent it, prying it open. I smiled when I saw Kelly rolling around in the money.

I cleared my throat, " This is your competition?" I asked.

Kelly stopped and looked up at me, getting to her feet, " Umm, I was...oh hell, I don't care! The MONEY IS SO..." she paused.

"Gosh, you're not gonna need Doug soon, huh." I joked, sprinkling the potion on her, to which she disappeared. I was about to walk out when I saw something on the ground. I bent down to pick it up and figured out what it was.

"Ewww, a tongue." I frowned, " Something tells me that punishment around these parts are worse than when I lived here." I said, keeping the tongue and running out of the vault.

I found my way back to the streets and the orb pointed me to the hospital. The hospital had always been big because of the mass of deaths. And to think the government thinks me and the rest of the Scoobys are dangerous, but they don't know anything about the whole 'danger' to the world thing. I walked to the courtyard and immediately noticed things moving all around the hospital. I was shocked when something moved behind me and I grabbed it by the neck.

"Owww!" Kelly choked.

I let go, " I'm so sorry...why are you here?" I asked.

Oz and Tara showed up too.

"We thought you'd need help." Oz said, " You do need help, right?"

"Well, I got my ass handed to me, thrown through glass...so yeah, help is welcomed. Just, nobody get hurt." I said.

"I'm not a fighter." Kelly confessed.

"Me neither. I think we should stay here." Tara said, " We should find the security place and stay there. I can feel another wiccan." she said.

"DOUG!" Kelly said excitedly, " I have to go with you."

"No, I don't..." I started.

"I think that's a good idea. I mean, besides the fact that she's not a fighter or remotely supernatural and is wearing intensely high heels...where was I going with this?" Oz asked.

"Hey! I have resources." Kelly said, sounding offended.

"Maybe she's right. We should get going." I smiled to Kelly, who smiled back.

"You sure?" Oz asked.

"Yes. Let's go." I said, " Be careful. Never know what's out there."

Oz and Tara turned and ran off. Kellyand I ventured down the courtyard and I saw things moving on the roof and I found myself worrying that maybe Kelly wouldn't do what I could. When we finally shimmied to the top of the roof and broke into the building, I found a lot of...things, walking around. We crept past most of them, careful not to make any noise.

Loud speaker: Kelly, Austin! There's a door that leads directly to him down the hall, but...

Kelly ran before she could hear the rest.

Loud Speaker: Don't because there is a big-ass demon and a few patients that resembled the Gentlemen's followers...

Kelly stopped and turned and looked at me. We both stared for a minute, then we looked up to see a demon falling from the ceiling! The demon was extra tall and bandaged up, with razor sharp blades attached to his hands. Kelly backed up as it swung its blades toward her! She fell back and I rushed the 'thing' and grabbed its blades and tried to fight it, but it threw me into the wall! Kelly backed back until she heard the elevator ding and looked back to see Doug.

"DOUG!" Kelly said, jumping into his arms.

The demon moved closer, but I ran to him and kicked his legs, then I grabbed his hand and made him stab himself, then grabbed the other and did the same and when he fell to his knees, I grabbed his head and wrenched it!

Doug looked at me, " What took you so freaking long?!" he asked.

"Well, I had to get here first, then there was the mass of demons. I'm on a time table." I said.

"What kind?" he asked.

"The kind that if I don't hurry, the worlds will bleed together and everything is doomed!" I said, " You know, you're standard end of the world."

"Oh. Well, we should go." Doug smiled, following me out of the hospital.

In another part of the hospital, Tara and Oz breathed a sigh of relief. Now all they had to do is wait. There were so many things they had to say to each other, but there was no words.

"So...death..." Oz started.

"Y-y-y-yeah." Tara stuttered.

"And Willow..." Oz said.

"Yes, Willow." Tara said.

There was an awkward silence before we burst into the room, " Is everyone ready?" I asked.

Tara and Oz looked at each other, then nodded, following me out of the room.

I left the group at the Magic shop and ran down the street. According to the clocktower, I had little over thrity minutes to find the last friend, Connor. I ran and pulled out my orb and stopped when I saw that it lit up at the movie theatre. I walked up to the double doors and looked at the 'Now Playing'.

"Goners? Serenity? Titans A.E.? Nice." I commented.

"Slayer." a voice hissed, " SLAAAAYER!"

I looked around, unaware of what to do. I felt a feeling of fear and dread as I walked through the door. I walked up the hall and around the corner to see that I needed an admitance ticket to get around the rail. I looked to the Serenity lobby and noticed a very pale, wrinkly faced guy. I had seen him before...or someone had warnde me about him.

"Tha Master?" I asked

"Slayer." he smirked, showing his deadly teeth.

I hopped the admittance rail and sped up the stairs, meeting a familiar face.

"Dawnie?" I asked.

Dawn's eyes glowed green, " I am the key." she said, punching me down through the hall!

I shook my head, trying to clear my head, " Okay...not Dawnie." I said, getting to my feet. As I got up, the lights down through the hall started bursting and soon it was right in front of me. I turned ran through the double doors at the end of the hall. I was relieved when I saw Connor behind glass doors. He was sitting on the floor. I ran to the glass door and he stood and faced me.

"The doors are really re-enforced." Connor said, obviously happy to see me.

"Of course." I sighed, " I need to find something to break it."

"I know something." Dawn said behind me. I turned to see Dawn and the Master standing side by side.

"Really? You know, it'd be really cliched to kill me. I mean, all the villains are trying to kill the good guys...you could be different." I said quickly.

Dawn smiled and lifted her hand and I flew through the glass, " See, I know the key to all doors." she smiled.

"Brilliant!" the Master commended her.

Connor bent down to check on me, " Are you okay?" he asked.

"Glass in my ass, kind fun." I joked, " How about you take the ugly one...on second thought, I'll take Dawn and you take fang face." I said, staring at them.

"Got it." Connor said, running at them. As Connor closed in, the Master raised his hand and tried to control Connor. Connor walked to him and the Master smiled. Connor smiled and punched the Master so hard, he flew back, " I'm really not a vampire."

I walked up to Dawn and she threw up her hand, but so did I. She looked at me as if I had done something wrong.

"I'm gonna punch your key hole...in theh way of using magic to kick your ass." I said slowly.

Dawn walked up and tried to punch me, but I ducked and kicked her in the stomach. She picked me up and threw me through the wall and walked through, trying to grab me, but I lifted my hand and uppercut her through the hole and she flew into the wall on the opposite side of the room. As I climbed through the hole, Dawn stood across from me. As Dawn made to move, I picked up a chair and threw it at her, which slowed her down and I jumped into the air, bring my foot up and kicking her backwards! She flew at me as I saw the piece of broken wood laying on the ground and picked it up and whacked her like a baseball bat! As I stood over Dawn, her veiny face glinting in the moonlight, I couldn't do it. I stopped. I heard footsteps. They were running. I closed my eyes and waited, then I moved and brought the broken wood backwards and staked the Master. As he turned to dust, Dawn passed out. As I walked toward Connor, the look on his face changed and I turned to get puched through the air! As I got up, Dawn held my the neck. As I choked, I didn't see Connor, who stood behind Dawn and snapped her neck. I looked up at him, I smiled and he helped me up. I had only ten second left as I sprinkled the potion over us, causing us to fade back to the Magic Shop.
