Pulling through the gate of Lake Quinn Community College was no sweat.

"Nice security," Dominic said facetiously, as he drove his Saturn Relay through the gate.

"Craig is prolly out for his morning donut," Devon informs them.

Alex acts in place of the GPS, telling Dominic to swing around this circle, make a left, then right, til they pull up to the LQCC gynasium.

"Where do I park?" Dominic inquires.

"Park in Coach Wylie's spot."

"No way. I'm not making an enemy out of a man I haven't even made an acquaintance!" Dominic says.

"It's alright," Devon says, "he's always complaining of people parking in his space."

"So what does he do?"

"Parks in the other coach's spot!"

"Doesn't sound right."

"Devon's right. They do it anyway. It's more the system of `first come, first serve'," Alex informs them.

"Okay, but this is a new car. If I get towed, somebody is going to answer for it!"

Dominic doesn't have a mean bone in his body. Of course he would never make good on his threat and it's the same way the guys perceived it.

Devon jokes, "And this is the thanks I get for letting Dominic in on all the fratboy eye candy today!"

"I haven't seen anything yet. For I know it could be a bunch of ugly ducklings." Dominic strikes back.

However, entering the gynasium locker room, Dominic could eat his words! None of the half or all-naked swimmers cared to offer apologies for their appearance, their normal attire for lockerroom ettiquette.

"Guys, this is," Devon did a quick soul search, but figured `what-the-hell', "my boyfriend, Dominic."

Talk about Dominic looking at the boys, the other way around seemed more spellbinding! Dominic Tiertza stood there at 6'2, two hundred and five pounds, like a stature of Adonis.

"Okay. Let's get cracking," came the voice of fate, traveling through the lockerroom like morse code.

"Coach Wylie," Devon called out, "I want you to meet my boyfriend, Dominic."

"Whew! Big fella you are there," Coach Wylie greeted Dominic, shaking his hand, giving him the once over, due to his size, taller than himself.

"Nice to meet you," Dominic extended his big hand, to match.

"Have you ever done any wrestling, son?"

Devon relays, "He doesn't go to Lake Quinn High School, coach."

"No, you're older than high school. Am I right?"

"I'm twenty-two and a high school teacher, working towards a master's degree."

"Here?"

"No," answers Dominic.

"And what are you waiting for Shears and Nouguet?" Coach busts Devon and Alex.

"Uh nothing."

"These kids. I've got to be above them all the time."

Dominic smiled, putting coach's statement into different pretenses.

"Yeah, ain't it the truth! Same thing with the high school," Dominic says.

Back from the boys room, Kyle walks up to the two.

Dominic introduces, "This is Alex's friend, Kyle Dryfiss."

Coach Wylie gave Kyle the same treatment, "Swimmer's build..."

Again, Dominic straightened Coach Wylie out, informing him of Kyle's residence status.

"Well, I've got to get going here. You're welcome to take a swim. I'm sure Alex or Devon has an extra swimsuit for you."

"I'll keep my feet on dry land, thanks," Dominic replies.

But when Dominic and Kyle left coach, for Devon and Alex's locker, they changed their mind.

"How many team members in speedo's did you say?" Dominic joked.

"Kyle," Devon kids, "I want you to keep your eye on my man."

"No problem."

Alex says, "And Dom, you keep an eye on Kyle!"

"Shears! Nouguet! Are you with us?" Coach Wylie yells sternly from the access door, between pool and lockerroom.

"We're coming!" The two yelled back, hightailing it out the door, over towards the diving area.

So, bases were covered, as Devon and Alex ran for the pool area, upon hearing Coach Wylie spew forth words of hustling it up.

"Somebody forget about me?"

"Raj! Where have you been?" Kyle asks.

"I had to take a whiz and ran into one of the swimmers. Um," he describes, "the guy two places to the left of Alex."

"Two_places_to-the-left_of-Alex...." Dominic squints, canvassing the other side of the pool.

"I see him. Cute," Kyle says.

"More than cute. His name is Dustin Gallegos."

"Kind of blond for an Italian," Dominic says, still staring.

"He's half Irish and guess what guys?"

"What?"

"He's headed to NYU in the fall!"

"What's his major?" Kyle asks, still staring, though his direction changed.

"Dustin's a writer. He's already written articles for magazines."

"That's nice," Dominic says, still staring, but like Kyle, his vision has strayed.

"Where'd you get the swimsuits?"

"Alex and Devon's surplus."

"I guess it wouldn't hurt to use my undershorts," Raj sums up.

"As long as they look like shorts."

"Alex made them."

"Then I dunno," Kyle replies, paying more attention. "Alex's briefs tend to expose... the bulge, if you know what I mean?"

"I'd say go for it," Dominic ventures to say.

"Yeah?"

So, into the deserted lockerroom, Raj finds an empty locker standing open. He deposits his clothes, down to his last thread, the briefs. He walks out to the swimming pool, not a care to the wind. Coach Wylie gets upset with his swimmers when they let out a thousand catcalls! Undisturbed by the attention, Raj dives into the deep end. Coming up out of the water, Coach Wylie stands over him.

"Where did you learn to dive like that, son?" Inquires the thirty-eight year old coach.

"My backyard," Raj tells him.

"How about off the board?"

"You want me to dive off the board? Sure!"

Swimming over to the ladder, Raj places his hands on both sides. Pulling himself out, he had to utilize one hand in the back, to hike up the shorty briefs. Consciously, he's sure some got a look at his ass crack!

"Nice swimsuit!" Lance Hawk says of Raj's swimming apparell.

"You better say that, Hawk. Alex made it," Devon badgers.

"Ahem!" Lance clears his throat. "Like I was saying. Nice swimsuit."

Coach gives Raj some diving tips, in the process of learning his name.

"Okay guys. Give Raj some room here. Are you okay with this, son?"

"Sure," Raj says.

He's only dived off a swimming board maybe five times in his life, so he's a little nervous, plus, Dustin is watching! After he gets a little spring, Raj stops and steps to the edge of the board, his back to the water. Then starting up the springing action, he hops in the air, passes the board and makes a perfect dive into the pool.

"Hell yeah!" Yells Devon, clearly above the shouting.

An onslaught of cheers goes up for Raj. Unfortunately, coming out of the water, via the ladder, he forgot to bring up his shorties. They sagged to his thighs, before he knew he was showing everything!

"Flawless! Absolutely flawless.. hey, will somebody get this boy a decent pair of swim trunks," Coach Wylie demands, after voicing his opinion about Raj's dive.

Suddenly Raj Radhakrishnan has become the team star and because Alex and Devon knew him, they shared in the glory.

"I'll find him a decent pair of swimming trunks," Alex volunteered.

Of course it should have been him. After all, the jock shorts came from his room, not to mention he made them! In the lockerroom, Alex hung them over the bench. It's the last he saw of them. On questioning the guys later, it seems Coach Wylie was seen in the back of the lockerroom, while Kyle, Alex and Raj were in the shower! Alex didn't press it.

"Raj, you really turned out to be some hero," Dominic said, firing up the engine of his Saturn.

"Yeah, I can't believe Coach Wylie wants me to lie, just so I could be on the team."

"I wouldn't call it a `lie', where coach is concerned. I'd call it getting even," Devon tells them.

"Oh?" Dominic asks, curiously saying, "How does that go?"

"Well, a coupla years ago, the coach of North Hadley, the team we're up against tomorrow, did something of the same sort, only with two guys."

"Hmm," Dominic says, "so, if I wanted to, I could be on the swim team?"

"Think Dominic," Alex incurrs, "do you look like a high school teenager?"

"Don't I?"

Everybody looks to Devon for a response.

"Honey," Devon starts out with, "you don't look eighteen, nor nineteen."

"Do I look twenty?"

"Maybe you could pass for twenty-one. I dunno," Devon says.

"Who'm I kidding? I know those days are gone," Dominic realizes.

"Not if Devon can help it," Alex says.

Dominic asks, "And what's that supposed to mean?"

Again the stare to Devon, who answers, "You've got me."

"So?"

"So, you get to live those years all over again."

Devon's statement brightened up Dominic's outlook tremendously.

"Starting with," Devon adds, "a trip to Mr. Pinque's tonight?"

"Cool!" Dominic says, purposefully.

So, back at the Radisson, they change, have their lunch. Now Raj sees things from the other side of the fence, a former employee.

"That Terry Miller is lucky I'm not a get-even person!"

"Who's Terry Miller?" Alex asks, adding, "Pass me the butter, please."

"Terry is the desk clerk who got me fired, then rehired. I don't care. It's all behind me now. I think."

Dominic says, "So, you're wondering where you're going to work now? That it?"

"I thought of going to New York. Taking a year off from school and working. Save up," Raj tells them.

"Why not work and go to school part time?"

"No, I don't think it'll work out. I've got to think of finding a place to stay and rent."

Dominic to the rescue!

"Room and board won't be a problem. I've got plenty of room at my townhouse, for Devon and me and you," Dominic says.

"No good."

"No good? How so?"

"You see. I got kind of friendly with Dustin Gallegos and we thought we could get an apartment together."

"Dustin eh?" Devon jokes.

"Yeah. Isn't he cute?"

"He sure is, but who would've thought he was gay?" Alex questions.

"I know," Raj says, "he's so straight-acting."

"Well," Dominic takes a deep breather, then says, "there's two twin beds in the room. I think you can comfortably push them together."

"You mean Dustin and I can stay with you? That would be so cool!"

Even though Raj is nineteen, he's still able to voice his opinion as `cool'.

"And we can keep in touch. Dominic's townhouse isn't far from where we're going to live," says Alex, of Kyle's place.

"Cool!" Devon says. "Pass the tomatoe sauce, please?"

"This tastes nothing like I used to make."

"Used to, Dominic? You don't make spaghetti and meatballs for yourself, at home?" Devon asks.

"It's no fun cooking for one. I generally make something frozen, nuke it-- eat it!"

"Well that'll have to change," Devon says. "Nothing goes into this bod, unless it's fresh!"

Alex asks, "Fresh, eh?"

"Oh gross, Alex!" Devon scolds.

Of course, he was thinking the same thing as Alex, right after he said it, as if having a double meaning.

"So, what's doin' for the rest of the afternoon?"

"Why, more swimming practice," Raj says.

"But this morning..?" Kyle asks.

"After Raj, Coach Wylie really got on cases for being messy."

"Sorry guys," Raj extends his sympathies.

"It's not your fault, Raj," Alex states.

Kyle asks, "It that what your coach was busting your chops for?"

"Yeah," Alex says, "like he goes through the same speech every year, saying the prom makes us guys too much out of shape."

Wiseguy Dominic says, "Oh, on the contrary. I think you boys looked `very shapely'!"

He wiggled his eyebrows.

"Look at poor Lance. He had to come wait tables for lunch, then head back to the gym," Devon says.

Raj adds, "And look at that Terry. I wonder what he's telling Lance."

"I dunno," Devon says, "but Lance is looking more like he wants to punch the guy's lights out."

"That's Terry. The provoker. He tried it with me once. I felt, like you said, punching his lights out," Raj replied. "But with Lance, he stays pretty cool."

"Yeah, it looks like he's backing off."

"Whew!" the eighteen year old waiter said to Alex's table.

"Yeah, our sympathies, Lance," Dominic says, "we heard what you have to put up with."

Lance voices his opinion, "Well, I'm not going to lose my cool. I've only got til graduation, then I'm off to summer semester at college."

"Where is it your going, Lance?"

"Mannes College. Ever hear of it?"

"School of music?" Dominic answers. "Sure I have. My late father was a proponent of the arts. He always offered scholarship monies to schools like Mannes, Julliard and MSM."

"MSM, Dominic?" Devon asks.

Kyle states, "Manhattan School of Music, my first choice."

"But I thought you were going to cooking school?" Devon asks.

Alex jumps in with, "His first love is playing trumpet. He only was going to the International School of Cooking, so Knapp could keep tabs on him. Right, Kyle?"

"Yeah, that's it," Kyle replies. "If I had my own way I'd be blowing trumpet, up at MSM."

"Damn, Kyle, you're eighteen, you should be deciding what you do with your life, not someone else, out of their convenience," Alex says.

"I know, but it's kind of my father that instigated it. You see, ever since my mom passed away, dad has sort of, unofficially, made Knapp my guardian," Kyle tells them.

"That sadistic jerk?" Dominic says.

When Devon hears the word, `sadistic', it's the word he's been trying to find, to pin on Knapp.

"Yup. You're right, Dominic. Exactly what Knapp is, but add selfish to that," Devon states.

"I'm glad you found Dominic, Devon," Kyle says.

"Me too," Devon adds his vote of confidence and smile, Dominic's way.

"No. I mean, if you had decided to go back to Asbury, back to Eden, back to Knapp, you would have been very unhappy," Kyle tells them.

"I figured such. He was very controlling," is Devon's opinion.

"Not only that," Kyle gets stuck.

"What is it?" Alex rubs Kyle's shoulder. "Come on. We're your friends."

Looking around, making sure nobody is listening, Kyle leans forwards and says, "Y'see, Knapp belonged to this BDSM club."

"BD-what-club?" Devon asked.

"BDSM. Bondage, discipline, sadism and masochism. It's a club where guys pretend they are inferior to other guys," Kyle fills them in.

Devon then voices, "Well then knowing that, I'm really glad I'm not going back there. I had enough of that treatment with Uncle Seth!"

It was another subject of discussion, but Dominic said both subjects were not a good idea for lunchtime.

"Dom, you and Kyle don't have to go back to watch us this afternoon."

"Yeah," Devon agrees with Alex, "why don't you drive around or something?"

"Might not be a bad idea, Dominic," Kyle says. "We can check out the town of Lake Quinn."

"Hey guys?" Lance butts in.

"What's up Lance?"

"I was wondering if I can have a ride over to LQCC. My car `s-got a flat."

"Sure. No problem, Lance."

So, between two cars, the guys pile in and head over to swim practise.
