Gay

This is the first story I've ever written, I wrote it over the summer of last year and my writing skills have grown immensely. Although this is my first story I've wrote, I have published other stories on here and am currently working on one. Under the high school section, I have the One or the Other, which is a current project; Hayden's Story; and GAvin's Got Game. Under the college section, I have The After Party. The latter three stories all contain sexual content.

The rest of the night was uneventful. Mom and Amy tried to comfort me after dinner. DJ thought it would be best if she went home because this was a family problem. I sorta wish she stayed though. She was like family to me.

The next morning I woke up and checked my phone. I was hoping I got a text from Jen, Tommy, Tyler, or Ginger. But it was from Amy. She said she had to go to DJ's for a surprise breakfast and she didn't want to wake me. She also said that Ginger would be picking me up for school.

I got out of bed and took a quick warm shower. When I got out it felt that the world hated me a little less today and that something good would actually happen. I went back to my room and somewhat dressed up. I was hoping that I would be able to get Tommy back and I didn't want to look like a mess doing so.

I told my mom what was happening and she was okay with Ginger taking me. She just didn't want it to be an everyday thing because Amy has a responsibility and Ginger has other things to worry about. I let her know that Ginger didn't mind at all and that I was on the way to the school. She seemed a little less irritated but I knew my mom too well to know that she is still going to talk to Amy.

Ginger arrived and I saw both Tyler and Tommy in the car. Tommy was sitting up front though and his eyes were still red. I yelled to my mom that they were here as I walked out the door. I was hoping I'd be able to get into the car before she would be able to give me a goodbye kiss. Thankfully, I was able to. But sadly being in the same car as my most recent ex didn't feel too great.

"So Shawn," Ginger started to say. "Does your family know about what's going on?"

"If you're talking about the whole Cole thing, then yeah. He seems to be the only thing in my life that keeps making it shitty."

"Everything will get better, sweetie. I talked to Tommy. I somewhat agree with him about the breaking up thing. Right now it's best if you two calm things down so people will think you two are just friends."

"I understand."

The rest of the ride was completely quiet. Tommy wouldn't even acknowledge my existence and Tyler seemed to be distance too, but not as much. He was able to let out a weak "hi."

When we got to school, I thanked Ginger and went to the lunchroom. I spotted the table that Blake and Layla were sitting at. I walked up to them and sat down. They said their usual "hellos" but then went back to talking about something I really didn't care about.

I looked over at the door and then saw Cole and Jen walk in the cafeteria. Hand in hand. With Avery at Jen's side. To everyone else they were the jock, the prep, and the hottie. But I knew they were the jackass, the bitch, and the sidekick.

They passed by my table but none of them acted as if I mattered. I was just waiting for the day that Cole cheats on Jen and she ends up leaving him and she tries crawling back to me. I'll tell her that since she chose him over me I refuse to be a part of her life anymore. It may seem harsh but if she's going to let Tommy suffer I'll make her suffer one day.

"So what do you want to talk about, Shawn?" Layla asked.

"Are you two a couple yet?" Both of them blushed. I knew it.

"Nope." Blake said.

"Wait what?!"

"Layla and I are just friends right now. We're going to try to take things slow."

"Well you better not go too slowly. You aren't too far from bald spots and beer gut and Layla isn't far away from menopause and sagging. Then the sex won't be that fun."

"Fuck you! I'm not going to sag! I will do whatever it takes to keep my boobs good and perky!" Layla said.

"Is that to make you happy or Blake?" They both started blushing and neither of them said anything. I know it's mean to take advantage of them but it's just too damn hard not to do it.

"So how are things with your man?" Layla asked, changing the subject.

"He broke up with me yesterday after school."

Blake mumbled under his breath, "Serves you right."

Layla reached across the table and smacked him on the upper arm. "Blake! Be nice! Shawn just had his heart broke and it's not funny!"

"Ow! That hurts! You hit like a man!" She hit him one more time. He then apologized for saying what he said before Layla caused him to lose his arm.

"What happened?" Layla asked. Even though she barely knew me, it sounded like she cared about me.

"This bastard named Cole took a picture of my now ex and I kissing in the bathroom and showed it to everyone in his classes. I then received a text right after school that I was being dumped to protect both of us."

"I'm sorry, Shawn. Things will get better though. You're only a freshman."

"I was beat up the first day of school, I lost a boyfriend and three friends so far this year, I have two of the worst enemies a person can ask for, and I learned how lesbians have sex. My life officially sucks."

"Don't think that way!" Layla said. She reached across the table and kissed me on the cheek. "Well now your day will be awesome because I kissed you."

"Layla honey, I'm gay. That didn't do anything for me."

"Oh yeah. I forgot." How could you forget that when we're talking about my ex boyfriend?? "Then Blake, you kiss him."

"I'm not kissing him! I'm straight!" I didn't take that offensively because honestly I wouldn't want to kiss a girl on her cheek.

Layla raised her hand. Blake leaned over and hugged me. "That's all I'm doing." She then started to stand up and Blake gave me a quick peck on the cheek.

"Awe. That was sweet." Layla said. "And for that I'll give you this..." She reached across the table and instead of smacking him; she kissed him on the cheek. "Now was it worth it?"

Blake sat there in amazement for a while. But then, acting like a typical guy, he asked, "What do I get if I kiss him on the lips?"

Layla and I laughed at that. The funniest thing was that he actually looked like he would seriously kiss me just to get a real kiss from Layla. After Layla and I picked on him for a little bit, the bell rang. I got up and said goodbye to my lunch buddies.

When I entered first period, I sat down beside Tyler. At first, he didn't say anything. But then he said, "I'm sorry Shawn. This is my entire fault. I told Tommy that the best thing to do would be to break up with you until things calmed down. I'm scared my dad will do something if he finds out."

"I'm okay with that, Tyler. The thing I'm not okay with is being completely cut out of your people's lives. You are my friends and I can't just stop talking to you all of a sudden. It's happened too many times before."

"Right now Tommy is trying to resist getting back with you immediately so for right now he needs some space. But if you want to I could tell my mom and dad I'm going to a friend's house for the weekend and instead come to your house."

"I can't wait!" Tyler and I then started talking about some other things before the teacher came in. While Mr. Truscott gave a speech about something I would never need in life, Tyler and I passed notes back and forth.

~ IMPORTANT ~

There are two chapters that were written by a friend of mine and I will tell you if when the chapter is written by her. Please DO NOT contact me and tell me how different those chapters are from the rest of the story and they are written completely differently. If you do I will most likely insult you. :D
