This is the first story I've ever written, I wrote it over the summer of last year and my writing skills have grown immensely. Although this is my first story I've wrote, I have published other stories on here and am currently working on one. Under the high school section, I have the One or the Other, which is a current project; Hayden's Story; and GAvin's Got Game. Under the college section, I have The After Party. The latter three stories all contain sexual content.

If you enjoyed reading this story, you can email me at wah.stories@yahoo.com. I love getting fan mail and can't wait to here from you all!

Kissing Avery felt like the right thing to do. I mean he opened up and deep down I've kinda always have liked him. After our second kiss, he and I hung out for a while. We sat on my bed and watched TV. Even though both Avery and I are use to being the "girl" in the relationship, I soon ended up sitting in between his legs with my head on his chest. He had his back propped up against the headboard and his arms were wrapped around me. So there was nothing sexual going on.

"Avery?"

"What babe?"

"What are we going to do?" He looked at me with a confused face. "I mean about school and about Jen. You and her are best friends and she doesn't even like me. And everyone thinks we hate each other too. I want everyone to know that I'm dating the one and only Avery Maxwell."

"Then I guess Jen will have to get over us." He smiled at me. "And trust me. Everyone will know on Monday. You and I are going to walk in hand in hand. I don't care what people say. If they can't accept me and you dating than they can fuck off."

I scooted up enough to kiss him one more time. "You know I'll never get tired of those lips right?"

"I don't want you too." He smiled again. I loved it when he smiled.

My mom knocked on the door. Thankfully it was closed. I didn't want her to see I had a new boyfriend. She would scare him away. I crawled out of his lap and opened the door. "Hey sweetie, ask Avery if he would like to stay for dinner. We're having spaghetti tonight."

I looked over at him. "Do ya wanna stay?"

"It would be a pleasure, Mrs. Washington." I was about to shut the door but Avery had to say something else. "And I apologize for running out the other day without saying goodbye."

My mom looked at me to see if I told him to say that. "I swear I didn't mom." She smiled at me and thanked Avery for his apology. She soon ran downstairs to start dinner.

"Your mom is a very sweet lady."

"Just wait until we tell my parents. Dad will give us a speech about safe sex and Mom will freak out, in a good way, and tell you that you can call her Mom."

Avery laughed. Then he had a sly smile on his face. "Since we have no rules about sex...maybe we should do all we can before the talk."

I jumped onto the bed and snuggled up next to him. "OR! We could watch some more TV like good kids."

"Shawn, are you still a virgin?"

I didn't want to say yes because he would think I was a loser. But if I say yes he'll ask who with and that would cause us to fight when he found out I was lying. "Umm yeah. What about you?"

He looked away, as if he was ashamed. "Leo and I have done it a few times. I wasn't ready though. I only did it because I didn't want him to leave me."

He looked like he was about to cry. "Well babe, don't worry about that with me. I'd rather wait a long time until we make that kind of step in our relationship. Sex isn't just sex to me."

"You just get cuter by the minute."

"I try." Him and I kissed one more time before we went downstairs to wait for dinner.

After Avery left, Amy and I started to play Mario Kart. I've been practicing a lot since we last played. I wanted to kick her sorry butt and make her weep! But like always, I lost and she won. She rubbed it in my face for a while but then she looked at me with a serious face. "How long have you and that Avery kid been together?"

"What?"

"You and Avery. The one who was just here."

"How did you know about that?"

"You two were staring at each other during dinner. There was even one moment where your hands clasped. You're lucky Mom and Dad are clueless."

I laughed. "Yeah I sure am." Amy and I went back to playing Mario Kart. "You're lucky too."

"Huh?" She was way ahead of me.

"The whole detention thing and Grayson thing."

"I don't know what you're talking about with Grayson. She and I were friends last year."

"I know. But you love her." Amy started slowing down and messing up drastically.

"No I don't, Shawn. We're just friends."

"And I just had a crush on Alex." We both laughed at that. "I could see it in your eyes when she would come over. You would look at her the way Mom and Dad look at each other. But then when you looked back at DJ you had regret in your eyes. Not for choosing DJ. But for loving someone else." I was right behind her in the race.

"Even if I did love her, she didn't love me back. It would have never worked out."

"I remember the night you came home from prom. I remember that Grayson stopped by here to see if you were here before she went to prom. You came home and cried. I know you had a great time because that's all you talked about with DJ when you two were together. You were crying because the love of your life left you. And by the way, I think she loved you more than you loved her. How many friends write songs about you, make CDs for you, write love stories about you, and even pay $40 dollars just to say goodbye." At that moment she completely stopped. I passed her up and won the race. I jumped up and started dancing. It was the first time I had ever won!

"How come you never told me this?!"

Uh oh. "I thought you knew?"

"Fuck you! I'll be back!" She ran upstairs, dialing someone's number. Most likely Grayson's.

I cleaned up the mess and went upstairs. I wanted to wake up early for some reason. I just couldn't remember why. As I dreamt that night, I thought of me and Avery. I think in the past week I have fallen heads over heels in love with him. Two weeks ago if you asked me if I'd ever date Avery, I would have laughed at you and called you a dumbass.

I woke up around 7:30 that Saturday morning. I decided to go for a run. Since I wanted to get in shape. I knew that Avery liked fit guys so I would have to at least and try to be sexy for him. On my run, I ran into Tyler, which isn't that much of a shocker since I'm running the same course I ran with him last week.

"Hey Shawn!" Tyler said as he caught up to me. "Never thought I'd see you running this early in the morning." Since I was out of breath, all I could do was flip him off. He laughed. "I actually never thought I'd see you run."

"I'm...trying...to...get...fit." I said in-between gasps for air.

"For who? Tommy?"

I stopped dead in my tracks. Not because I was quitting be because I forgot about Tommy coming over! "Tommy?"

"Yeah! He's been looking forward to this day all week! This morning he was saying he thinks that he's ready to be your boyfriend again. Hell! He even said he'd be willing to come out to the whole school for you."

"Fuck!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. "Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuckin' Fuck!"

Tye looked at me with a confused look on his face. "You don't want him to come out for you?"

"No...Yes...I'm not sure. But that's not what I'm pissed about."

"What's wrong buddy? You can tell me anything."

"I know I can but I need to talk to Tommy. I'll tell him to fill you in tomorrow morning. Okay?"

"Whatever." He and I started running again. "But if Tommy comes home in tears and says that you hurt him, I swear I will fuck you up. You may be like my bestest friend but Tommy's family."

"You know I don't want to hurt Tommy. Unless you know, I get a little too rough with him." I winked and he laughed.

"Tommy would come home with a biggest shit eating grin ever if you were that rough with him." He and I both laughed.

"It's kinda weird you know that about your brother."

"We talk about everything. You and him are the only ones that know I'm bi. I'd rather be with a girl but guys like you drive me crazy."

I smiled. Thinking of all the fun, I could have with all this gay and bi guys. But then I would be a slut. And that's not a good thing. "Well I got to go. I'll see your sexier half around noon." I started to jog off towards my place and he flipped me off. He had a smile on his face so I knew everything was good.

I got home and told Mom and Dad that Tommy would be over at noon. They said that we going to go out for lunch and that he had better be hungry. I grabbed my phone and told him to come with an empty stomach. He asked why and I told him about our plans. He was pretty excited.

I hoped in the shower for just a few minutes. I wanted some alone time so I could think about what I was going to say to Tommy. I didn't want to be too light and end up with two boyfriends, but I also didn't want to be too harsh and end up getting the shit beat out of me by my bestest friend.

Once I knew exactly what I would say. Someone was standing in the doorway. It was Tommy. I looked at my clock and saw that it was noon already! That means I was sitting here for about 4 hours thinking about what to say to him.

"Hey Shawn."

"Hey Tommy. Put your bag in that closet and lets go downstairs so we can go to lunch."

"Sure thing, cutie." God it hurt so bad knowing I was going to have to break his heart.

When we got downstairs I saw Amy with her fingers and eyes glued to the phone. "So who ya texting there?" I already knew who it was.

"None of your business. And hey Tyler." Tommy laughed.

"I'm Tommy."

"I'm sorry! Here," she got a dollar out of her purse, "every time I mix you and your brother up I'll give that twin a dollar."

"Thanks Amy." He put the dollar in his pocket.

"Watch her be broke by the end of next week." I said to Tommy. He laughed. Amy got mad.

"If I run out of money I'll just give them you. It's the closest thing in this house worth a dollar." Tommy laughed again. This time at mine and Amy's sibling rivalry. It probably reminded him of when he and Tye do this.

Well soon after that, we all went to McDonald's. It was fun. They have little kids video games in the play place, and the three of us teens all played them. Obviously Amy did better than Tommy and I. She was the queen of video games. But when we got home my mom said it would be a good idea for me and Tommy to go upstairs since her book club was coming over. I dreaded this moment. I knew I was going to have to tell him now.

We climbed the stairs and entered my room. I slowly closed the door behind me. I was facing the door and when it finally shut I felt a pair of arms wrap around me. "I'm so glad I can be alone with you." Tommy said. Pulling me back into him. "I think I'm ready to be your boyfriend again." I could just feel him smiling. I was so scared.

"Tommy. We need to talk." His grip loosened.

"What is it?" He sat down on the bed and I turned around to look at him. He had a concerned look on his face. "You know I'll always be here for you no matter what. So don't hold back, babe."

"I have a boyfriend."

"I know."

"You do?"

"Yeah. I know what you're doing. You're doing what I did when we started dating the first time." He smiled.

"No, Tommy. This boyfriend...isn't you." I could feel his heart sink. I could see tears building up in his eyes. I could nearly scream out in hatred of myself. "Him and I started dating yesterday. I forgot all about today being the day that you decided if you were ready to date again. He told me everything and right before he was able to leave I kissed him. I'm so sorry, Tommy."

He nearly broke down in tears. "It's okay." I could tell he was lying. He was hurt. "I said that if someone came along while we were single we should jump at the opportunity. It's my fault."

"No it's not Tommy! Stop blaming yourself! I did this. You did nothing to cause what I did."

"If I never said that we could date other people you wouldn't have had to done this to yourself!"

"If I never got detention that one day I never would have been friends with you. I wouldn't have kissed Leo because I was scared I lost Jen. I wouldn't have gone to your house because I never would have been left. Sometimes the things we do cause the greatest things to happen. Maybe things will work out between me and my new boyfriend and you'll move on and find someone else. Maybe something will happen between us and bring us closer."

"I hope it brings us closer, Shawn. Because I think I love you." I wanted to say it. I wanted to just yell that I loved him too. It would have been beautiful. We would have kissed and everything would be perfect. But I couldn't. I have to play by the rules in life now. I've hurt too many by breaking them.

"Thanks, I guess. And I love you as a friend for right now. And I hope my new boyfriend will never be able to come between us."

Tommy wiped his eyes and smiled. I knew he wasn't over me and accepting it all right now, but I knew we'd be close soon again. "You're right. We can't let this come between a beautiful friendship."

"By the way, you're going to have to tell Tye all this. I ran into him this morning and decided that I should talk to you first. And make sure he understands that we're still friends. He threatened to hurt me if I broke your heart today."

"Well you kinda did. And I would have to tell him the truth." Tommy smiled. I knew he was kidding. Well I really wasn't sure. Maybe Tommy wanted revenge. I broke his heart, Tyler breaks every bone in my body.

"Please tell me you're kidding." I was legit worried.

"Maybe. Maybe not." I hate being played with. Well...in this way. "But if you give me a hug and a kiss on the cheek all my pain will go away."

"I got something better." I jumped and hug tackled him. We both laughed. I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before I decided it would be best to go outside. But sadly it had started to rain so we had to settle with going into the basement to toss a football. Believe it or not, two gay guys can enjoy football.

While we were down there we also played some video games and just talked. It was nice sitting there and listening to him. I made sure that we didn't sit side by side on the couch down there though. I didn't want any accidental kisses or cuddling. It was around 8 when my mom called us upstairs for dinner. We ate and then the 5 of us went into the living room to watch some TV. I made sure that Amy sat in-between me and Tommy. I know it sounds like I'm being super cautious, but I was sick of the teenage drama. I wanted a long term boyfriend and best friends to be best friends for longer than a month or so.

Around ten o'clock my mom decided we should all go to bed. But when we all rose from our seats someone busted through the door. All I could hear was this person screaming and crying. It was a girl. Whoever it was ran up to me and hugged. I wasn't sure who it was before she started talking. It was Jen. "Shawn! Help me! Please!"

"What is it Jen?" My mom asked. She was beside her and hugging her. But Jen wouldn't answer. She just kept screaming for help and crying. I was able to sit her down on the couch. When I looked at her from head to toe, her clothes were ripped and she had blood stains on her. Was she beat by someone? Maybe she was mugged while walking home. Her parents never approved of Cole so she had to walk to and from his house in order to see him.

After we were able to calm her down, my mom asked her once more what was wrong. She looked all 5 of us in the eyes. She then said "I just need to talk to Shawn right now. I can't say it to everyone."

Everyone left the two of us in the living room. When they finally left she started to cry again. I wrapped my arms around her. "Tell me what's wring Jen. We've known each other forever and even though we just had a little bit time apart doesn't mean you can't trust me with anything."

"You were right about him. He's just a pack of fruit snacks. But he's so horrible. I ran away from him. When he wasn't looking I ran. I couldn't go home because my parents will hate me." She started to cry again.

"What happened, Jen? Tell me everything that happened."

" I went over to his house because his parents invited me over for dinner. Afterwards his parents left to go on a date, Ciara left to go with her boyfriend, and I went up to his room. We were talking and then he told me he was super horny and that it would be a great idea to have sex. I told him I was a virgin and wasn't ready. He didn't listen to me. He started to undress. I shouted no and he didn't listen. I got up to leave. At that moment I realized I'd rather have you than him. You were much nicer than he was. But he grabbed me by the arm and threw me onto his bed. I started to scream for him to get off my but he wouldn't." She started crying.

"Tell me what happened, Jen. I'm here for you and I always will be."

"He...he...he raped me!" She said in-between sobs. "He raped me over and over and there was nothing I could do! Every time I screamed or struggled to get away. He'd hit me or force himself into me harder! I soon gave up and he just used me. After he was done he told me not to move or when he found me he'd kill me. But I ran anyways. He was in the bathroom cleaning up and I ran."

This time she cried harder than I had ever seen before. I was so shocked that all I could do was sit there and hold her. My best friend. Was raped. I started to cry as well. We sat there in each other's arms. As if we never quit being friends.
