Gay

This is the first story I've ever written, I wrote it over the summer of last year and my writing skills have grown immensely. Although this is my first story I've wrote, I have published other stories on here and am current;ly working on one. Under the high school section, I have the One or the Other, which is a current project; Hayden's Story; and GAvin's Got Game. Under the college section, I have The After Party. The latter three stories all contain sexual content.

"Hey Jay! Hey DJ! Hey Amy!" I said walking into the cafeteria this morning. It's been about a week mine and Jay's kiss. The day after I told him that I just wanted to be friends for now and thankfully he accepted that. Ever since then I haven't kissed him so that's a good thing right? Anyways...

"Hey Alex!" They all said in unison. But that was it before they went back into their conversation about something I probably didn't care about. I sat down next to Jay and started to eat my breakfast. Halfway through three sets of eyes were all looking at me.

I sighed. "...What do I have to do?"

"You know how prom is coming up right?"

"Yeah I do but you guys know that same sex couples can't go and if we could it would be awkward because Jay and I are just friends."

"For now." DJ said. "But we were thinking that you take Amy and Jay can take me. That way it appears that we're straight but we're actually going to switch partners at the dance."

"But...I don't want to dance with some creepy lesbian girl." Jay and I started laughing while DJ took that offensively and Amy was comforting her. "You know I was kidding Deej. I would love to dance with your sexy butt but I think I have something to do on that night."

"If you want to make up for calling me weird you're taking Amy to prom." She said.

"But-"

"No buts!"

"DJ..."

"Nope. You're taking her."

I finally gave in. "Fine. But that's in. No after parties. No hotels. No nothing. I take her home and Jay takes you home."

"But-"

"No buts"

"Alex..."

"Nope. You're getting over it." Amy and Jay started to laugh because this time mine and DJ's role in the argument were switched. After that the bell rang and the four of us got up to leave. While I was walking down the hallway, I felt someone grab me by the shoulder and pull me into the guys bathroom. It was Jay.

"You know when DJ said we would switch partners she meant that you and I were going to dance together."

I smiled at him. "Yeah I know. But prom is like 2 weeks away so I think you and I will be closer by then." I then winked at him. His hand was still on my shoulder.

"Really?" His hand moved down to my side. His other hand reached out and grabbed my other side. "How close do you think we'll be?" He moves in a little closer to me. His mouth was about a foot away from mine.

"I'm not sure." He moved in a little closer. 9 inches. "But I don't think it'll be too much closer." 7 inches.

"Why not?" 6 inches.

"Because, we're already really close." 4 inches.

"You think so?" 3 inches.

"Yep." 2 inches

"How close are we now?"

But before we could kiss the bathroom door opened and we separated. It was Mr. Wells, my 1st period teacher. "Mr. Marshall, you and your friend," he looked at how embarrass we both were, "before I write both of you up for skipping."

"Yes, sir." I responded. I walked out and Jay was right behind me. His cheeks were as red as apples.

"I guess that means we aren't suppose to be together." Jay said.

"Don't ever say that Jay." I hugged him tight. "it's just a sign from Chad telling me that it's too early for a relationship with a guy."

He somewhat smiled. "Yeah. I guess so."

We then went our separate ways. First period was really awkward because Mr. Wells kept looking at me. I tried to ignore him looking at me but I couldn't he already knew I was gay. Hell the whole school knew it by the end of the day that I came out on. But Mr. Wells almost saw me and Jay kiss.

Out of the blue he said, "Mr. Marshall, I want you to talk to me after class."

"Ok, sir." Everyone looked at me. But then soon class was back to its old boringness.

When the bell finally rang, I waited for Mr. Wells to come talk to me. What was he going to say about seeing me in the bathroom? Was he going to suspend me? Was he going to force me to do things with him in exchange for not telling? Those thoughts and many others were flowing continuously through my head over and over.

"Mr. Marshall, I'd like to talk to you about what I almost saw in the men's restroom before class."

"I know Mr. Wells. It's wrong."

"It's good you know that but that wasn't what I was going to say." I looked up at him with confusion. "You see Alex, I'm gay too. And I know how it is to be harassed about it. When I came out in high school I could never see my boyfriend. I had to stay closeted to my family because they were homophobes, may they rest in peace, and at school I would have been beaten if I ever showed affection towards another guy. So one of the teachers allowed me and my boyfriend to use his room during lunch so we could actually be somewhat affectionate. If you and Jay want to come in here, you all are welcome."

"Thanks Mr. Wells." I was in complete shock. "But Jay and I are just friends. You caught us in a bad situation."

"Oh." He said. "Well be careful. Now get to class." He smiled and let me go on my way to second. My teacher, who is like super...conservative looking, is gay. Well who would have guessed I was gay? I'm like an ex jock and I'm gay. Second, third, and fourth period flew by. I didn't even talk to Jay or DJ is French. I was too occupied with thinking about what Mr. Wells said. But at lunch I finally came back into this world.

"Why aren't you listening to me?!" Jay said with tears in his eyes. Everyone in the cafeteria was looking at our table.

"Huh?"

"I've been talking to you for about 10 minutes and you keep ignoring me!"

"I'm sorry Jay, I'm just thinking."

"Well think without me because I'm outta here!"

I grabbed him by his arm and looked him in the eyes. "What's wrong, Jay?"

He yanked his arm away from me. "You should have listened the first time I said it." He walked out of the cafeteria.

~ IMPORTANT ~

This story is a precursor to the actual Shawn's Turn. It contains information that may come in handy for the next part. Also. there are four chapters written by a friend of mine and I will tell you if they were written by her. Please DO NOT contact me and tell me how different those chapters are from the rest of the story and they are written completely differently. If you do I will most likely insult you. :D

Next: Chapter 7: Love Chad 7
