This is my first story that has chapters! My other stories are Hayden's Story and Gavin's Got Game, they're here under the High School section. If you like this story then you should check them out because there are some similarities except this one doesn't have sex. So if that's what you were looking for I'm sorry. My shorter stories may have sex but this story will contain no sex, there may be references to sex, but I will not go into detail.

If you like this story, contact me at wah.stories@yahoo.com. I strongly encourage it. Also, If you want to be on my e-mail list to find out when the next chapter comes out, please include that in the email!

It's been a month since Trey and I broke up. He and I no longer talk. He also talks to none of the others in our little group. Mason is still in his little clique and sometimes hangs out with us. Megan has gone back to her old self finally. She doesn't act super nice or super bitchy. Kurt and Macy are still together. Jessie and Lizzie are together as well, but they've fought a lot more than usual. Daniel and Emma never started dating, so they're just friends. Daniel and I are still friends as well, but we're almost as close as we used to be. Emma is single to my knowledge and I don't think she's looking either. Dusty actually left and is now on his own. His eighteenth birthday was about a week after the breakup and he decided it would be best if he lived on his own. We all thought he'd stay here in town, but he left the state. I think Jessie said he's now in like Texas or something, I'm not sure. Jessie and I still haven't become as close as we were before out argument over whether I should be around Mason or not. But that's about it for what's happened this month. Nothing has been over-the-top awesome.

"Speeeeeeennnnnnccccccceeeeeerrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaa." Lizzie said. "Stop daydreaming and come on! We don't have all day."

"Well it took you all day to say my name."

Megan then butted in. "Ha ha, very funny. Now get the fuck in the car." Megan was taking me and Lizzie to school today after her staying the night; her family left town for the week and Jessie's parents refused to let her stay since she and Jessie are dating, so she's stuck with us.

"Why can't I ever just enjoy the view?" I asked as I got in the back seat of the car.

"Because you're a fucking whore-bag and if you don't hurry your shit up then we'll be late to hell." Lizzie said.

"Are like, both of you on your periods or something? I mean, both of you are cussing more than usual."

"Actually..." Lizzie started to say. She and Megan then laughed because I had covered my ears. I seriously didn't want to hear whatever she was going to say.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

"Hey Spencer!" Emma said as Lizzie and I walked into the cafeteria. Macy, Kurt, and Daniel were there as well.

"Where's Jessie?" Lizzie asked.

"Not here." Kurt said.

"Did she tell any of you why she wasn't here?" Lizzie asked. Normally Lizzie really doesn't care, but yesterday she and Jessie had probably their biggest fight so Lizzie is scared about what might happen.

"Well, I was talking to her on the phone last night and apparently she can't stand looking at you right now." Macy answered. "What the hell happened between the two of you?"

"Well, we were talking on the phone yesterday and she said was wanting to go out this Friday. I told her that I really didn't want to go out this weekend because we've been doing something together every weekend for a while now. She then started yelling at me and saying I didn't love her, I really do love her by the way. I then yelled that she's the one who doesn't love me because she expects me to do whatever she wants but when I want something it's like a fucking sin or something. I could hear her sobbing a little and she apologized. I was too mad to apologize so I went on yelling. She just sat there and took every word of it. I then shouted `You know what? Since you're such a shitty girlfriend I guess I don't love you.' When I realized I said that, I hung up immediately. I was scared."

"I'm sorry Lizzie." Macy said as she went to hug Lizzie. "I'm sure she won't be mad too much longer. I mean, you've been together for like ever now so I'm pretty sure she isn't going to end it over one stupid fight."

"I've only known you guys for like a month and I can even tell that Jessie wouldn't do something like that." Emma said. "Yeah you do have a temper, you do cuss a lot, you lack common manners, you burp, you fart, you laugh at people crying, in general you just act like a man, but Jessie looks pass all that and sees you for your kindness and your compassion."

"You really know how to cheer a girl up." Lizzie said to Emma sarcastically. That made all of us laugh and it actually lightened the mood a little bit.

"So, we have a serious problem." Lizzie said. I knew what the topic was.

"Only four of us are dating someone. Emma, Daniel, and Spencer are single as can be. You all need to find people and quick."

"I'm happy being single." Emma said. "Sure I'd like to be with a guy but I have you all to hang with so I'm never bored now."

"I'm actually waiting for someone." Daniel said; I knew he was talking about me. "The person I like is just..."

"We all know it's Spencer so shut the fuck up." Lizzie said. "I don't wanna hear your mushy shit. We go through it every time and then it makes things awkward for like ten whole minutes. So Spencer, why are you still single?"

"I'm just...not ready, after what Trey did to me. I actually thought we were doing okay before I found out he was cheating on me. It's gonna be a while before I can get back out there and date again."

"Well, Halloween is like next weekend so we're having a party for that and EVERYONE has to have a date. You don't have to be dating, but you have to bring someone with you." Lizzie said.

"Which of us is having a party?" Kurt asked.

"None of us." Lizzie said. "I have some connections who said that Mellissa Mullins is having a party next weekend and it's gonna be sick."

"Mellissa Mullins as in the senior? The one who gets high and drunk every weekend?" Emma asked.

"Yeah. But we don't have to get wild. It would just be awesome to say, `Hey, I went to a popular kid's party in high school.'"

"It be more like, `Hey, I wasted a good four hours of my life standing around while everyone else got drunk and were basically fucking each other on the dance floor.'" I said.

"Come on you guys! We only live once! What if we never get the chance to do something like this again?"

Just then, my worst nightmare happened, well one of them. Ricky and Trey came into the cafeteria. Hand in hand. Laughing. I'm sure the others saw as well because everyone was quiet. Emma barely knew anything about Trey's and my history, but she knew this shit was seriously disturbing.

As they walked by, I heard Ricky say, "Okay so next weekend one of my close friends is having a Halloween party and we're totally going. I'm pretty sure I could reserve us a room if you wanted."

I don't know if that was intentionally to piss me off, or if it was just a coincidence. Whichever it was, it sure as hell pissed me off. "I'll go, Lizzie." I'm pretty sure that shocked the whole group. After what we just heard I bet they thought I'd do anything to stay away from Trey, I'm actually going so...well...I can kick Trey's ass and not get in trouble. Who's gonna call the cops to a high school party where there is alcohol, weed, and who knows what else.

"I guess I'll go too." Kurt said. "Someone needs to go to protect my little buddy." He wrapped his arm around me.

"I think we should just all go. It would be kinda cool to say we went to a senior party as freshman." Macy said. Daniel and Emma then agreed that it would be; I think they all just said that so they could be there with me.

"So it's set! The seven of us are crashing a Halloween party!"

"There is no way this is going to end well." Emma said. We all laughed.

For the rest of lunch we talked about what we're going as and shit like that. The bell then rang and we all headed to class.

"Wait for me!" Daniel shouted after me.

"What?"

"I don't want to walk to class alone."

"You wanna know what's funny?" I said.

"What?"

"At the beginning of the year, you and I were both extremely quiet, neither of us liked to talk that much. But now that we're out, it's like we're different people."

"Does that change the way you feel for me?" Daniel asked.

"In a good way. Now I know more about you and I feel like I can be more open with you and trust you with more things."

"Same here. I just wish I got to you before Trey did. Then I'd still be holding your hand as we walked down the hall."

"Who said you couldn't do that now? I know lots of friends who hold hands." I've recently been more centered toward dating Daniel. He's been here with me and held me while I cried every time I needed him. Of course the others were helpful, but Daniel was the only one that really knew how I felt, even though he's never been cheated on.

Daniel grabbed my hand and we walked down the hallway. It felt great to hold a hand that I was sure would never hurt me. I'm sure Daniel felt the same way.

-Trey's perspective-

"Remember what to say?" I asked Ricky.

"Yep. I've been waiting to do something like this my whole life."

Ricky and I were walking hand in hand into the cafeteria since we're now a couple again. He may be a prick sometimes but he's truly what I need. It's been a month since Spencer and I broke up and about two weeks since Canyon and I broke up, I was now ready to try getting revenge on Spencer for trying to kick my ass that night.

"Okay so next weekend one of my close friends is having a Halloween party and we're totally going. I'm pretty sure I could reserve us a room if you wanted." Ricky said as we passed Spencer's table. All of their eyes were on us so I knew they had heard Ricky.

We then sat down at a table on the opposite side of the room. I would have sat near them to hear their conversation but I'm pretty sure Daniel would start something with me if I was close enough to him.

"You are a naughty, naughty boy." Ricky said winking at me.

"I know. But seriously, that asshole had no right to start shit with me. It's not like she was completely faithful to me. Fucking double standards piss me off."

"So, are we actually going to Mel's party? I think we should. I'm pretty sure Spencer and his group will be there now."

"Oh I know they will be, or at least Kurt and Lizzie. They'll want to start shit with me."

"They won't though. All you'd have to do is at least land one punch on Kurt and he'd have to explain everything to his parents."

"He only has a dad, and from what Spencer told me, he's an alcoholic."

"I'm surprised his dad doesn't beat him and Daniel. I would even if I was sober."

"I know exactly what you mean."

The bell then rang. Ricky and I kissed before we went our separate ways for the day. I seriously couldn't wait until next weekend. It was my first high school party as a high school student, and the first time I'm taking someone whom I plan on going home with.

Spencer and I have three classes together, excluding home room, so it's awkward half of the school day since we used to sit next to each other and now we act like the other doesn't exist, unless we're insulting each other. At first it hurt us both to look at each other, but now, we always gave each other the death stare when we "just happened" to look at each other.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

-Mason's perspective-

"Hey guys!" Mellissa said as she walked up to our breakfast table. Mellissa is a cheerleader and she has some of the sluttiest parties known to man. She's been over here almost every week inviting us to one of them. I usually decline, so does Megan. Jordan and Isabella though, I think they go to those stupid things as much as they can.

"Hey Mellissa!" Izzy said.

"So, next weekend I'm throwing a Halloween party and I was hoping you guys would come."

"I'm not sure-" I started to say.

"Please Masey." Izzy said. "I really want to go to a party as a couple and we would could have matching outfits and everything."

"But I'm not the partying type."

"You don't have to drink. I won't drink either if you're there. We can have some sober fun."

I really didn't feel like arguing with Izzy, so I gave in. "I guess I'll go."

"Great!" Mellissa said. "I expect to see you two there too." She pointed at Jordan and Megan. She then walked off to go ask more people to her party.

"Is that the only reason that bitch is popular? Because she can throw parties nearly every weekend?" Megan asked.

"She's also super cool to hang out with. Her only downside is that she likes hanging out with fags. If she didn't do that, I would let her sit at this table."

"My brother is one of those fags and I sit at this table." Megan said.

"Only because Jordan and Mason are friends and you're dating Jordan. If it wasn't for that your ass would be at the fag table with your brother."

Megan became furious. I think she had to use every bone in her body to keep herself from leaping across the table and beating the shit out of Izzy. After what she just said, I wouldn't mind it if she did. "I'm going to class." Megan got up and left.

"You need to be nicer to her." I told Izzy.

"She started all this shit."

"Even if she did then you need to be the better person and shut the fuck up. I'm honestly tired of hearing you two go at it every fucking morning."

"Like you never get mad ay anyone. I've seen you yell at some guys and nearly beat the shit out of them."

"But that's not every damn day! I do that like once in a while. You bitch at Megan every fucking day! Don't you ever get tired of being a bitch?"

I really pissed her off this time. She grabbed her purse and said, "I'm leaving." It actually felt good to tell her off.

"Dude, why the fuck would you do that?" Jordan asked.

"I'm getting tired of her attitude toward everyone. She needs to fucking grow up."

"Still, you never tell a bitch she's a bitch. That's like rule number two."

"What's rule number one?"

"Fuck a bitch as quick as you can." He then winked at me. Thankfully the bell rang so I was able to go to leave without pissing Jordan off as well.

On the way to class I actually passed Spencer and Macy on their way to class. Surprising myself, I said hey to them. They must've been surprised as well because they barely replied. It actually felt good to say hi to actual friends.

For the most part, school was boring as hell today. Nothing exciting happened. Isabella refused to talk to me during lunch, which was actually quite peaceful actually. Spencer and I were able to decide when we would meet again to work on the essay. We had all the information we needed, now all we had to do was work on the essay, which will be so much fun. Who wouldn't want to write like a ten-page essay?

After school I went straight to practice. I saw Jordan, Tyler, and the others just sitting there on the bleachers. "What's going on?"

"Coach said he had an announcement for us so he wanted us to wait for him right here." Tyler said.

"Do you all have any idea what it is?" I asked.

"Not a fucking clue. Hopefully it's like a month supply of weed and alcohol for kicking ass at that last game." Jordan said.

"I highly doubt that. Coach would piss if he knew what half the team did after a game." Tyler said. I've never really paid attention to Tyler's looks. I have to admit, he is very cute. He has curly blond hair that goes down to his shoulders and he also has deep green eyes, not to mention he is very lean yet very muscular. His girlfriend Lily is pretty hot too, but Tyler makes her look bad.

He and I are probably the only ones who don't go to parties every weekend. I've heard a few stories where he's gone to a party or two, but it never ends with him waking up shit-faced, so that's a good thing I guess. Tyler is also like a genius, he's a senior and I think most of his classes are with Megan, who everyone knows is a genius. If Tyler was gay and single, I'd seriously consider dating him now that I think about it.

"Boys! I'd like you to meet your new assistant coach, Coach Denner." Coach was standing there with Canyon to his left. "Coach Massey had to quit because his wife has a baby on the way. I was over at the college looking for a new and younger assistant coach who'd be able to take over when I left and this man right here offered his service."

"Hey." Canyon said, he seemed quite scared to be standing beside Coach.

"Coach Denner played with our star quarterback last year, so he knows a little somethin' about playin' football. We have regionals coming up and trust me, some of these teams are better than what we've seen. With the combination of two of the best football players, one as a player and one as a coach, we should be winning regionals with ease."

After introductions were done, we had a little bit of practice. Canyon was actually able to help some of the offensive players since he's basically played all offensive positions the last two years, except quarterback. Coach Miller, the head coach, was a defensive player in high school so we have a pretty great defense with his help, but until now, we really didn't have someone to help the offense. I'm now pretty sure we'll kick major ass at regionals.

"Hey." Canyon said to me as I exited from the locker room.

"Hey. It's nice seeing you here. I bet you jumped at this opportunity."

He laughed. "Yeah. I did. I knew you went here and played football so I thought to myself how else would two old friends catch up."

"I was going to go home but if you want we could like get something to eat and catch up and stuff."

"Sure. Let me make sure coach knows I'm leaving. I think he was wanting me to stay after and help certain players."

"Okay. I'll be waiting for you."

Canyon then jogged over to the coach to talk to him. I'm still trying to figure him out. Last month I saw and heard him say that he loves Trey so that makes him gay, or at least bi. The thing I don't understand is why would he ignore me and treat me like shit when I came out last year. I really wanted to know, that's basically the only reason I asked him to hang out this time. I know how Spencer feels about Trey and Canyon so I tried cutting Canyon out of my life to show Spencer I do care for him. Before that we were able to talk about anything really, but now it's like we're fighting against each other in the Spencer-Trey war.

"Come on!" Canyon said as he jogged past me. "Coach told me to get my ass outta here before he needs me."

I followed him over to his car. "Would you be able to drive me back here afterwards so I can get my car?" I asked.

"Yeah. Get in."

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

"So...I need to ask you about some things." I said. We were sitting in this little diner that I never knew existed until today.

"About what?"

"Last year."

"Oh. That. I guess I should tell you about what exactly happened with me."

"I think it's more along the lines that you have to, not you should."

"First off, you need to know I knew I was attracted to guys since I was like in seventh grade. And if you remember, that's when I met you. We went to different schools but ended up rooming together at football camp the summer before the season. We got close and then started texting and shit. On the last day there, I realized that I liked you." He then paused for a minute and took a drink of his water. "I fantasized about meeting you again someday and when I saw you walk onto the field for our first practice, I was excited as ever. It then became my goal to befriend you and then eventually date you. Last year when I found out you were bi, I then knew I was ready to ask you to be with me. I had waited five years for it and I knew it was now or never. But then I heard the second part of the story, you were dating your best friend Spencer. I don't know why, but I couldn't stop from crying when I got home that day. I felt like you had cheated on me, even though we had never been together. I decided from that day on I wouldn't fall in love so I wouldn't be disappointed like that again. I also decided that it would be best if I took a little break from you so I could try moving on. When I felt like I had done that, you had lost everything except football and Spencer. I thought that having popularity and friends would be better than having one friend and being hated my everyone, so I went along with the others and insulted you. I always wanted to apologize, but it just...the opportunity never came. You hated me so much that every time I got near you, you'd run. So now I'd like to officially apologize for what I did to you last year. You deserved to be treated so much better than that."

"Thanks. But even though you just apologized, I don't think we'd ever be able to date. You're nice and all now, but I can't get over the fact of how much suffering I went through and you never did anything to help me. We can be friends though. Is that okay?"

"I guess. I deserve that though." Canyon said. "Shit. Nothing has been going good recently." He looked kinda sad.

"What else happened?"

"Well...Trey and I decided we should try dating and it failed. I wanted to have less sex and make the relationship more emotional, but he didn't. He wanted to have more sex now that we were together. I then found pics of some other dude's penis on his phone so I ended it."

"I'm sorry, Canyon. I'm sure you'll find someone else."

"I actually have it even better now." You could hear the sarcasm in his voice. "Somehow my parents found out that I'm gay, apparently someone who know me and still lives near my parents saw me out on a date with Trey and told them, so now I have to move. Thankfully Meadow is going to take me in. She's actually going back to college now and she's switching here." Meadow is Canyon's sister; their parents were still in their hippie phase when the two of them were born.

"At least some good came out of that. How is Meadow anyways?"

"Pregnant. She has a live-in boyfriend who is actually pretty nice, he's helping her pay for college and take care of the baby. The funny part is that she met him at the club. He was there for his friend's bachelor party and the friend paid for him to get a private dance by my sister. To her surprise he would rather sit and talk than get a lap dance, he was only there to be with his friends. Last time I talked to them, he told me he was going to propose to Meadow. I'm happy her life is doing a complete three-sixty."

"It sounds like yours is too."

"I guess it is. You know, I haven't been able to talk about any of this stuff in a long time. I don't really have that many college friends so when Trey left, all I had was my sister."

"Well, I guess I can be here for you now. I seriously feel like you regret how you treated me in high school and that you seriously want to try and have a friendship like we used to."

"Thanks, Mason. You have no idea what it's like to...nevermind." Even though there was nothing funny about me being left alone for half of last year, I still laughed. Canyon didn't though so he looked at me like I was an idiot.

Out food soon came after that long conversation. We started to talk about how our lives were now and update each other over the other things that have happened over the last month since we saw each other. It actually felt good to talk to Canyon.

"I really need to get going." Canyon said. "I have class in like an hour."

"Well, it was nice hanging out with you for once."

"Same here. Come on, let's get you back to your car."

We got back in Canyon's car and he drove back to the school, he told me he never let anyone but him drive his baby. Besides that little comment, nothing else was really said. We stayed quiet the whole ride. I was thinking of a good way to actually say goodbye to him without hinting I like him, because I don't, or making myself look like an asshole.

"See ya." Canyon said as he parked next to my car.

I then decided a hug would be better than nothing, so I hugged him. "See ya." Both of us couldn't help but laugh at the awkwardness.

I got into my car and waited for him to leave. When he realized I was letting him go first and he left, I decided I'd crash Spencer's place and see if he was home. I really didn't feel like going home and it was like only seven now so it was great for sudden drop bys.

Every time I read a story of Nifty, I never read the top part, so just in case you are like me and only read the bottom portion if you liked the story, here is my email again: wah.stories@yahoo.com. Also, if you want to be on my email list to find out when new chapters come out, include that in your email. AND if you email me, please state what story you're referring to. Thanks for reading the fifteenth chapter of my story.

I'd also like to give thanks to my editor, John. He's like majorly epic and catches my mistakes. I make a lot of them so he deserves as much credit as I do for getting this chapter out. And check out Hayden's Story and Gavin's Got Game, they're here in the High School section, if you like this story.

Also, I want this story to be somewhat interactive, where yo tell me what you'd like to see happen next. There are no guarantees if it will make it, but there are possibilities. I already have some things planned out, but most are too obvious. I need you al to help me think of new things that no other story has.
