A few days following the Isabella incident, everyone was still spreading rumors about Mason. For someone who can be a baby sometimes, Mason was taking all of this okay. Everyone on the football team believed Isabella, Jordan had convinced them too obviously, except for Tyler, he was still Mason's best friend.

The two of them have also began to come around me and my friends more, as well as Brennan and Kasey. Although we've gained four new people to our group, Lizzie has been coming around less and less. She's been my friend for so long now and it sucks that she's finding people she has even said who are "better to hang around." They aren't any good though, they're all pothead and just no good whatsoever. They even came to school high one day and some of them, Lizzie included, were caught. Since it was her first time being caught with marijuana and she is still a minor, they let her off. Every time we've tried talking to her and knocking some sense into her head, she's ignored us and walks off.

"Hey!" Mason said as he and Tyler approached the breakfast table. Tyler and I decided that we'd switch weeks with when we get to ride to school with Mason. I know I could be all "He's my boyfriend so I get to ride with him whenever the hell I want to," but Tyler and I have become somewhat friends, despite the fact he and Mason still share some feelings together, so I wouldn't do something like that to him.

"Hey!" Macy said, she's become like the group leader, she's really the only girl who hangs around us, except for Lily and Hailie who only came around every once in awhile. It's also become funny how the group has almost become a gay herd, most don't see it because of Mason and Tyler being super jocks.

"So, when I was in the gym earlier for practice, I heard rumors that Mason has three children already and this isn't the first time he's done something like this." Kurt said.

"Who the fuck comes up with these stupid ass lies?" Tyler asked, I could tell these rumors pissed him off as much as they pissed off Mason.

"I've asked where they hear this shit from and it always leads back to Jordan."

"I think those two are trying their hardest to ruin my life. No matter what I say or what I do, I'll be the bad guy. If I tell everyone I never slept with Isabella, they won't believe me. If I do help her out with some random dude's child, I'll be made fun of for being stupid because `she's a whore and there is no way that's my kid.' I hate life."

"Don't say that. Things will get better." I tell him.

"Only when her child is born and they prove it's not mind, but for the next nine months my life will be a living hell."

-Mason's perspective-

After breakfast, I decided to skip first period. Everyone in there, including the fucking teacher, thinks that baby is mine and they give me that you-are-one-sick-person stare and it pisses me off. I came here so I wouldn't be "the gay boy," now I'm the complete opposite; "the man whore."

I wandered around the halls for a bit, telling teachers I was either heading to or leaving the restroom. When that got tiring, I headed outside and onto the football field. Out there, the coaches gym class was running laps. Coach has always been like a second father to me, so when he saw me coming onto the bleachers, he knew I needed the time to be alone. I knew not to take advantage of this though, I don't want him to hate me too.

I think the worst part about this whole thing, is that no matter who I talk to about this, they don't know what it feels like to be in my position. Everyone keeps saying "It'll get better." No it won't. It may fade for a few weeks, but when Isabella begins to show, the rumors will start up all over again, leaving me to all the ridicule and harsh treatment again. The only person who would remotely understand how I feel is Mom, but I know it pains her to not tell me to help Isabella out even though I hate her. My mom feels for Isabella, even though Isabella is a cold-hearted bitch, because she was also a teen mom. Mom would have loved if someone came to her rescue and helped her out when she was pregnant.

A couple more minutes pass before a burly man's shadow blocks the sun. "Hey coach." I saw without looking up.

"What's wrong?" Coach sat down beside me, his gym class was still running, besides the pudgy kid trailing behind, it looked like he was walking/dying.

"The whole Isabella thing."

"That damn girl has to be out to get you. I know you too well and I know you're not the type to sleep around. I remember hearing conversations in the locker room when people would tell you to fuck her and you'd just decline. Back when I was your age, I was the complete opposite, I would have jumped at the opportunity with Isabella. I'm not a pedophile by the way, I'm just saying when I was your age I was into girls like that, nowadays I'm into the more mature type like my wife. Anyways, you're a good boy, Mason. That baby isn't yours so you shouldn't be moping all day. Just kick a couple people's asses and this will all die down."

"I wish I could, but you know rumors will still spread and when her stomach starts to show, things will just get a lot worse."

"I hate to hear you have to go through this. You're a great kid. If shit gets too tough for ya, I got your back. I'll make damn sure whoever bullies you gets their ass suspended, the principal still owes me a favor or two."

I smiled for the first time in a long time. "Thanks."

"Now here." Coach handed me a slip. "It's your excuse. You were busy helping me clean out the locker room."

"Thanks again."

"No problem." Coach got up and headed back out to his class. "Come on, Henry! I've seen how fast those chubby little legs of yours ran when they were serving ice cream! Think of the ice cream, bud!" I'm guessing the pudgy guy I saw earlier is Henry because he started to book it and soon caught up with the rest of them. Coach turned to me. "You just gotta know what pushes them the hardest."

I got up and left, I made sure to thank coach once more for everything he's done for me. My first period teacher didn't believe me about the note and said I forged it. When he called Coach to tell him "i forged his signature," Coach gave him an earful. The whole class could hear Coach as he cussed and yelled at Mr. Lanum, which made them whisper and giggle.

After that class, my happy mood soon faded. I went back to hearing students yell out things like "Asshole!", "Neglectful!", "Whore!" You name it, I was called it. Just a few weeks ago, people looked at me like I was a god, I had just won the state championship game, but now, it's like I killed someone they loved dearly. No one even really cares about Isabella either, which confuses me as to why they'd care now.

"Are you going to eat?" Tyler asked me. Me, Tyler, and Lily all have lunch together.

"I'm not hungry." The fact is, I haven't ate these past four days, I occasionally drink something though. I always make up excuses and tell my mom or my friends that I ate a lot at school or at home or anything to keep them off my backs. Spencer is the only who really knows I don't eat, but that's only because when we snuggle, he can feel my stomach growl. He's tried to get me to eat, but it always backfires and we end up not talking for about ten minutes. The silence ends with the two of us kissing, which is good, but I hate that we have to bicker, what we do is nowhere close to an argument or a fight, in order to kiss sometimes,

"Dude! It's your favorite though!" Tyler said as he reached over and slid my tray over to him.

Lily slapped his hand. "You should at least ask."

Tyler rolled his eyes. "Can I have your lunch?"

"Sure." I push the tray slightly away for him to grab.

"Thanks bud." He then took my lunch, staring at Lily the whole time with a i-won-you-lost look on his face. Lily just rolls her eyes at him and goes back to eating her salad and texting.

"Is that all you do now?" I said to Lily.

"Huh?" She and Tyler looked up.

"You've been glued to your phone lately."

"It's the cheerleaders. Ever since that shit Isabella made up all the girls do is spread shit she tells them, I'm trying to get them to realize you're not that kinda guy. Sorry I was trying to help you out." Lily placed her phone on the table pretty roughly.

"No. I'm sorry. I just haven't been myself recently so I apologize if everything I say sounds like I'm pissed. Thank you so much, Lily."

"You know I love you, bud. I would never try ignoring you. How about just you and I, and maybe Spencer, go out, just the two, or three of us."

"What about me?" Tyler asked stuffing his mouth.

"I'm sure you two hang out enough. Every time I want to hang out with you you're like, `Oh I'm hanging out with Mason.' I think I should find out why you want to be around him so much." Lily said.

"I'm gonna go hang out with Hailie then."

"Have fun, She thinks I can do better than you. Starting to see what she means." Of course Lily didn't mean that, she loved Tyler with all her heart. They've gone through so much together. At one point, Lily even thought she was pregnant, Tyler stuck right by her and promised to love her and the baby unconditionally. Then when Tyler's dad died, Lily didn't go to practice so she could spend all her time with Tyler. I hope Spencer and I will be able to share something like they have.

"Don't worry, you could do better than her for a best friend."

"Take that back!" Lily said.

"Nope! She started it."

"No sex for you then." Lily said.

"You suck."

"Not for the next week."

After lunch, I went to the rest of my classes. The best of all these classes was social studies, because I could sit with Spencer. Lizzie and Spencer had somewhat of a fallout so she switched seats, opening up a spot by him.

Today our teacher was talking about something I already read about, when you don't eat and you're scared you'll run into someone outside of school, reading your social studies book is the only thing you do. I decided to rest my head on my desk. I first leaned over towards Spencer, but then I realized what I was doing and went towards the desk instead. We did, however, hold hands while I was laying down, it felt good to have his hand in mine.

After class, Spencer decided to be a bad boy and skip with me. I had that class with Isabella and really didn't feel like punching her in the face today, with the way the day was going today, I was going to do it. Although Spencer was being a bad boy, he stopped by his sixth period and told his teacher he had to work on a project in the library so he got an excuse.

"I love you." I told him when the hallway was clear.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing's changed. I'm tired of pretending I'm okay with everything. I thought it would have died down somewhat now and I wouldn't have to worry about people calling me named everywhere I go. I don't want to be like my dad."

"You're nothing like him, Mason. You're perfect. Now tell me, what can I do to make you feel better?"

"Beat the shit out of Isabella and give her an abortion. Move the spotlight to you."

Spencer hit my arm. "Mason! Don't say that! But just to let you know, I would if I wouldn't go to prison for murdering her fetus."

I couldn't help but smile. Spencer noticed my now rare smile and rested his head against my shoulder as we walked the halls. "I think I'm going to come out to the school soon. I need you to do this with me more than ever now."

"You know that could cause even more grief than what's happening now. You're like the super jock here. Everyone is okay with a loveless father' as their star but a fag.' They wouldn't accept that."

"Thanks for sugarcoating it."

"You know I love you. But if you're ready to come out, I won't stop you. I just don't think it's the right time. It also wouldn't stop the rumors about you and Isabella, it may slow them down, but Jordan or Isabella would say that you were experimenting or something like that."

"You're right. I think I'm going to wait. But will you please do something for me right now."

"Only if it doesn't involve me getting in any kind of trouble."

"I wanna take you somewhere outside the school."

"I would get in trouble though."

"The principal owes Coach some favors. I promise you won't get in trouble. If you do, you can kick me in the nuts."

"That sounds good. Spencer said smiling."

We left the school, Spencer basically ran to my car and hid while I slowly walked over to it, I guess he was hoping no one would see him. When we were out of the school parking lot, he finally raised himself from the seat and stopped acting like he was busting out of prison. I, however made him lay back down, I wanted it to be a surprise where I took him.

When we got there, I walked behind him and kept my hands over his eyes, he hated it because I would mess around and make him almost walk into trees and stuff like that, the place I was taking him his out past the park down a very long trail, which he also hated halfway through. When we finally got to the spot, I moved my hands and he opened his eyes. All around us were birds.

My favorite place in this city is the bird sanctuary. The park keeps the place immaculate so it's beauty has no maybe comparison, well, maybe Spencer, but no other place's beauty compares. Here it is always quiet and barely anyone ever comes here, sometimes an old couple or two will come to feed the birds, but besides them there is no one but the birds.

"This place is beautiful." Spencer said. "How come I've never been here?"

"It's secluded deep in the woods. I didn't know about it `til one day after practice when I went for a run at the park and found the trail that leads up here."

"Why did you bring me here?" Spencer asked.

"It's just so peaceful and no one ever comes here. I want to hold you and just talk, something we can't really do in public because of the people or in private because of family."

"Can this be our spot?" Spencer said as he sat down on the bench that face the direction to the sets, it was my favorite bench too."

"Yeah." I sat down beside him and pulled him up next to me. "You're the only good thing in my life right now, Spencer."

"You have your family and you have the rest of our friends."

"I know I do, but I can't be with them like this. You make me feel so great. I really can't imagine what I'd be doing right now if we never became friends and then boyfriends."

"You'd be Mr. Popular, you'd still be dating Isabella, you'd be taking her of her bastard baby, no one would insult you, you'd essentially have a perfect life. I would have probably ended up with Daniel and been as happy as you were living your life. And then every now and then, I would stare at you and wonder what my life would be like."

"How much thought have you put into that."

"A lot. It seems like we'd be better off never knowing each other sometimes."

I didn't know what he meant by that. I didn't want to jump to conclusions and just start cussing and crying because I thought I just lost my boyfriend. "Does that mean you want to break up?"

"Oh god no! I love you, Mason. The thing is, even though our lives would be easier apart, I have you right now and I can't let you go. We were meant for each other, as my mom says. We would have just settled for the next best thing if we didn't know each other. I don't want the next best thing, Mason, I want you."

"I want you too."

We just sat there quietly for a while. We soon shifted to where my back was against the armrest and my right leg was pressed up against the back of the bench while Spencer sat between my legs and rested his head on my chest.

"What time is it?" He asked.

"It's almost six."

"We've been here for almost four hours then." Spencer said. "That's not long enough though."

"I know. I want to spend eternity just sitting here with you." Sitting there also gave me some time to think things over. I was one-hundred percent sure I wanted to come out. I considered everything Spencer had said and decided if it came down to it, I would give up football and the scholarship money if things got too bad about me, being a bi guy, was the star athlete. I knew I wanted to be with Spencer, I thought I had wanted to be with the first Spencer back at my old school, but we could never share anything like this. We were just having fun. With this Spencer, we don't even have to talk and we have a great time together.

"My mom is probably freaking out." Spencer said.

I chuckled. "Mine too."

"Maybe we go home."

"I don't want to, but that sounds like a good idea."

Spencer moved so I could get up, be before he could get up himself I picked him up like the groom does to the bride right after the wedding. "Are you going to carry me all the way back to your car?"

"Yeah. But if my arms get tired I may just toss you off into the woods."

Spencer wrapped his arms around my neck and held me close. "Please don't!"

I couldn't help but laugh. "You should know I would never do that. I just wanted you to hug me like this."

"That's the only reason I did. I know you too well, babe."

I carried Spencer the whole way down, my arms did get tired but I fought through it, Spencer was worth it, it was also a good exercise. When we got back to my car, there were a few people staring at us, none of them were young enough to be students so I didn't have to worry about being out before I had the chance to do it myself.

I took Spencer home and apologized to his mother. She was worried sick about him but she cut down on his punishment when she found out why he skipped his last period and disappeared for four hours. Al first it was no friends for a week, but now it's no friends except me for a week, I think that's kinda dumb since I'm the one who caused the trouble, but I accepted that because I would die if I couldn't see Spencer for a whole week.

When I got home, my parents were too happy with me either. They, however, didn't get me in trouble because they knew I was going through a lot. Later that night my mom came into my room. She sat down on my bed and began to cry. She told me she wished I would talk to her because she hated knowing I was in pain and I didn't want to tell her. I didn't want to tell her my reasoning why I didn't want to talk to her about this problem, so I made something up. She believed me and told me that she was always here for me. Normally I told my mom everything, but this is something she wouldn't be able to handle.

The next day while I was taking Tyler to school, I told him my plan of how to come out. "Dude, you're gonna fucking go down in the Hall of Gays." Tyler said laughing.

"What? I want it to be romantic and obvious."

"Why don't you just wait `til it starts to rain and then you and Spencer can pull a Noah and Allie and kiss in the rain."

"Who's Noah and Allie?"

"Have you not seen The Notebook?"

"You have?" I said laughing.

"Only because Lily made me!" Tyler said, defending his manliness.

"But dude, that movie is so fucking sad. I'm going to make you watch it with me one day."

"I don't think so. I may be into guys, but I'm not into chick flicks."

"Whatever, dude. You're so missing out."

When we got to school, I swallowed down all of my fear and went in. Just as I expected, the name calling began immediately. People were calling me a worthless piece of shit, saying I would make a horrible father anyways. I was hoping today would be different and I wouldn't have to ignore their words and pretend I'm okay. When we arrived at the cafeteria, I could see Spencer sitting with the others. I'm pretty sure he was telling them about being grounded because Macy looked really bummed. As we approached the table, Kurt greeted us. Spencer turned and spotted me. I really wanted to kiss him right then and there. As we got closer, I heard Spencer say, "Hey."

That was when I did what I wanted to do. I grabbed Spencer by the hand, made him stand and pulled him in for a long, passionate kiss. At first I could hear people gasping, but soon I became lost in my boyfriend's lips. Spencer was a little withdrawn at first, but then he as well also got lost. After what felt like an hour of kissing and holding him close, our lips separated. "Hey." I said with a big goofy smile.

"You're such an idiot." He said with a smile of his own.

"Your idiot." I lightly kissed him once more. I looked around to see all the kids in the cafeteria look over here. Every mouth had hit the floor. I really didn't care anymore. I was hoping Spencer was wrong and that the rumors would finally stop about me and Isabella.

Brennan, Daniel, and KAsey scooted over a seat to open up the spot next to my boyfriend. I sat down and everyone at the table was also staring at me. Tyler was too busy trying not to laugh at their faces.

"You just ruined your life." Kurt said.

"Not really."

"You're on a football team with a group of homophobes. They won't want you back no matter what."

"I don't give a shit. I'm going to start doing clubs and community service so I can get into college. I know I lost my football scholarships and my grades aren't the best so I have to find a way to make my applications look good."

"You've got some real balls." Macy said. "I wish Kurt did."

"Hey!" Kurt shouted. Everyone laughed. I looked around the cafeteria once more, and for the most part, people were back doing their own thing. A few people glanced over with hatred in their eyes, but I really didn't care. The person's reaction I did care about, though, was Coach's. He was standing in the cafeteria doorway with a smile on his face and shaking his head no. "You really did something." He mouthed.

I knew I had screwed over a lot of things in my life. I knew I couldn't go back and undo things with Spencer. I didn't want to. My mistake last time was that I wasn't really in love, I was just a horny bastard. But with Spencer, I can feel the love and I know we'll together as long as he'll love me.

Every time I read a story of Nifty, I never read the top part, so just in case you are like me and only read the bottom portion if you liked the story, here is my email again: wah.stories@yahoo.com. Also, if you want to be on my email list to find out when new chapters come out, include that in your email. AND if you email me, please state what story you're referring to. Thanks for reading the twenty seventh chapter of my story.

I'd also like to give thanks John, my editor, and Trish, who now helps me come up with ideas for the story. Without John, this story would be LOADED with grammatical errors. Unfortunately, John is out of commision for now so if there are errors I apologize. Trish has helped me come up with great ideas for this new semester that I would have never thought of.

Shawn's Turn: Love Chad is up now and not many people have been reading it, that I know of. So if you do enjoy this story please check it out. Thanks :) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
