Gay

This is my first story that has chapters! My other story is Hayden's Story, it's here under the High School section. If you like this story then you should check it out because there are some similarities except this one doesn't have sex. So if that's what you were looking for I'm sorry. My shorter stories may have sex but this story will contain no sex, there may be references to sex, but I will not go into detail.

If you like this story, contact me at wah.stories@yahoo.com. I strongly encourage it. Also, If you want to be on my e-mail list to find out when the next chapter comes out, please include that in the email! I forgot to ask that for Hayden's Story, but one of my epic fans reminded me to do that.

-Daniel's perspective-

Ever since the group date on Friday, Spencer hasn't really talked to me. I'm used to always being able to look to my left and see him standing there. Now, every time he and I are in the same room, he suddenly "remembers" something and darts off. I really haven't had a one on one conversation since the first day of school, and that was like a week ago.

I just want to tell Spencer that I'm in love with him. But I can't; he wouldn't return the feelings. I know he's gay, but the way he looks at Trey in the halls and the way he stares at Mason when he thinks Mason isn't looking, I can tell he doesn't like me the way he likes them.

Just look at me! I'm bi. I can't decide whether I like girls or like guys. Why would Spencer want someone indecisive like me. I am beyond ugly. Even though Kurt and I are twins it's obvious to me that I'm the ugly twin, even though most can't tell us apart. I'm bipolar. The littlest things can set me off. Spencer deserves someone way better than me.

Right now Hannah and I are at the mall. She thinks I need more clothes. I don't think I do, but my opinion usually doesn't matter. We've been here for about two hours and I persuaded Hannah to let us rest and eat before we keep going on.

"What are you thinking about, Sweetie?" Hannah asked. I still can't believe Hannah likes me. She definitely is the second cutest student here. But in my opinion the cutest isn't Isabella nor is it Macy, it's Spencer. The things I would do just to be with him, not sexually though, but to be near him and to feel his touch.

"Nothing. I'm just nervous about meeting your parents." Tonight Hannah's parents invited me, my brother, and my dad over for dinner.

"They're gonna love you, babe! But probably not as much as I love you."

I kissed her on the cheek. "I know that." I think she says things like that to try to get me to stay with her. She's never told me, but I think she knows I like Spencer. She always brings up the fact she loves me more that anyone or anything. And the few times I bring up Spencer, she always gets this agitated look on her face and changes the subject as fast as possible.

"So, you ready to go back to shopping?" She rubbed my hand and looked in my eyes.

"I don't think I can. My dad was wanting me home soon."

"But then I'll be here by myself. I don't want to be here by myself."

"Doesn't your sister work in the food court?"

"Yeah but she doesn't get off for another two hours."

"They why don't you just come over to my house? We're going over to your house later on anyways. We'll just go a little early so you can try making yourself cuter."

"Try?"

"You're already cute enough. There's no way you can make yourself cuter." I smiled.

"Thanks babe." She kissed me on the lips. "Now call your dad and tell him to pick us up! I want to see your house and meet your dad."

"Just one sec." I got up from the table and walked off for some privacy. My dad is usually drunk or near drunk during the day. He's a great father and has never hurt me or Kurt, but he does drink a lot and pass out a lot.

"Hey Daniel!" Surprisingly he was sober.

"Hey dad, can you come pick me and Hannah up? Her sis is working late and I was hoping she could come over until it was time for us to go over to her house for dinner."

"Man! I nearly forgot about that dinner! And yeah, I'll be there to get you all in a minute. Let me get Kurt though, you know how he gets when he isn't invited for the trip." We both laughed.

"See ya in a bit, Dad."

"See ya."

Right now I wish I had the courage to come out to my dad. He's a great guy and would probably love me even if he knew about me. But I can't take that chance. Losing Dad would be the second worse thing to happen to me.

I went back to the table and told Hannah that my dad would be here soon. She smiled and we walked around a little more to see what we could find last minute. Like all girls, Hannah found everything and anything she needed in these last few minutes, reason number one why I'm bi.

When my dad finally got here, Kurt was in the passenger seat. He looked half asleep so I think he was taking a nap like always. He groggily got out of the truck and let me and Hannah climb into the back. My dad has one of those old, clunky trucks that are very small. Since Mom's death a few years ago, Dad hasn't been able to afford a lot of things, so our nice new car was traded in for this.

"Hello, Mr. Masters." Hannah said to my dad.

"Hello. You must be Hannah." He put his hand out to her and she shook it. "I've heard so much about you from Kurt and Daniel. It's nice to finally meet you."

"Same for you. And I'm sorry about your wife." Hannah said. My dad then started to back out of the parking lot, but he was still listening to Hannah.

"She's in a better place now. It's just sad that she had to leave so soon. It hasn't been the same since she...passed."

For the rest of the ride, nothing was said. Dad was thinking about Mom, Kurt was most likely asleep, and Hannah was scared to talk. The only reason I knew she was scared was because she texted me during the silence.

When we arrived home, Kurt got out of the truck and somewhat ran and somewhat hobbled to the door. Both Kurt and I have keys to the house for emergencies, so Kurt was able to unlock the door and run/hobble to his room.

"What's his deal?" I asked.

"Macy was supposed to come with us, but she canceled on him a little while after you left. Kurt went up to his room and never came back down. He wasn't sleeping though because he heard me leaving and insisted on going with me to get you two."

"Should I talk to him?" I asked Dad.

"No, he should be okay. You have Hannah; anyway, that wouldn't be fair to her if you left her with her old man." He laughed. He then went into the kitchen to get a beer so he can watch football, like every day.

"We're here!" Hannah shouted as we entered her house. I looked around and I was stunned. Her parents must be loaded. I mean, just walking into their house you can tell they have everything.

Two adults came around the corner; I assumed they were Hannah's parents. She looked almost exactly like her mom. They both shared the same long bleach blonde hair and the same build. But she got her light blue eyes from her father. "Hello, I'm Crystal, and this is my husband Michael. We are so happy to meet you all. Hannah talks about Daniel and the others all the time." The woman said with a smile on her face. "Now, which one of you is Daniel?"

"This one." Hannah said, grabbing my hand.

"It's nice to meet you Mr. and Mrs. McIntosh." I said extending my other hand to Mr. McIntosh.

He shook my hand. "Please, call me Michael. Mr. McIntosh makes me feel old." He laughed a burly laugh. Like many of the rich men in the world, he was on the husky side.

"Same for me, darling." Mrs. McIn...Crystal said. "That goes for all of you actually. You're our friends, not our clients."

"If you don't mind, I'd like to sit and talk with you two privately." My dad said. Great, now he's going to embarrass me.

"We don't mind at all." Michael said. "We were going to ask you that anyway. Hannah, please take them to the living room until we call for you."

"Yes, Dad." Hannah then led me and Kurt to the living room while my dad and Hannah's parents went upstairs.

"Where are they going?" Kurt asked.

"Most likely my dad's den." Hannah answered.

"Do you have any brothers or sisters?" I asked.

"I have an older bother, but right now he's off at college. Last time I checked he was at Yale."

"Damn, you have a pretty smart brother." Kurt said, starting to sound like his old self again.

"Not really, money speaks in the ivy leagues." Hannah said laughing. "He's pretty normal when it comes to brains, but not as smart as like, everyone else there.

Daniel then looked down at his phone and started texting. "Daniel. Please be polite, we're guests and you're over there texting." I said.

"It's okay, Kurt." Hannah said with her usual smile. "I know what it's like to be unable to leave your phone for five minutes."

"Yeah." Kurt said, still sounding sad. "Spencer was just trying to cheer me up. At least he cares, unlike you guys."

"You were texting Spencer?" Hannah asked a little stunned. Kurt nodded his head as a response. "On second thought, I think Daniel is right. You're a guest, you shouldn't have your phone out."

"What's so wrong with Spencer?" Kurt asked, a little defensive.

"I just don't like him, okay? Nothing wrong with not liking every guy in this world." Hannah said. I could tell by the look on her face she more than disliked Spencer for some reason.

"Well he's one of my best friends so you'll have to get over it." Kurt said back at her. "Before you knew who it was, you were okay with me texting but then all of a sudden since its Spencer it's against the law."

"I just don't want to hear his name for one day, alright? You're acting like I just took your toy away and you're a fucking two-year-old." Hannah said. I could hear the parents coming down the stairs.

I was about to tell them to quiet down but Kurt shushed me. "I'm sorry I actually care about my friends and that they actually care about me."

"If you don't quit talking about fucking Spencer I swear your ass is out of here!" Hannah shouted. The parents were standing at the bottom of the stairs when Hannah said that.

"Hannah! That's no way to talk to your guests! Apologize now!" Crystal said.

"There's no need to, Mrs. McIntosh. I don't accept apologies from bitches." Everybody's mouths were wide open but Kurt didn't look like he cared. He just rolled his eyes and walked towards the door. Right as he opened the door he turned to look at Hannah. He said, "Spencer" and slammed the door behind himself.

"I'm so sorry for Kurt!" Dad said apologetically to the McIntoshes. "He hasn't had a good day today but that still doesn't excuse his behavior. I really have to go though." He turned to me. "Daniel, please stay here and show them our family isn't just a group of lunatics."

He shook hands with the McIntoshes and left, quietly shutting the door. "Your brother is annoying." Hannah said

"Tell me about it." I said. We then acted as if nothing had happened and went into the dining room for a nice, warm meal.

-Kurt's perspective-

I can't believe Daniel! He just sat there while his so-called girlfriend bashed his best friend! Shows you what kind of friend he is. I mean, at least I said something to the bitch. He just sat there in his own little world.

"Kurt! What the hell was all that about?!" Dad said, catching up to me. I expected him and Daniel to stay so I decided to walk home. I didn't stop walking when he yelled, if he wanted to talk to me he'd have to keep walking.

"She was insulting Spencer! Right in front of our faces! He's the only one who has shown any kind of care for me today and she has to be a back-stabbing bitch! She acts all friendly around him and then all of a sudden she's insulting him right and left like the little slut she is! Daniel needs to break up with her ass."

"Watch your mouth, Kurt!" Dad shouted at me. "I don't care what she said! You had no right to call her those names!" I could tell he was angry. Hopefully he could tell I was angry too.

I stopped and turned to face Dad. "The worst part is that Daniel just stood there while she did this! He didn't say one god damn thing to her! Shouldn't you stand up for the lo-" I stopped right in my tracks. I had remembered that my father has no clue about Daniel being gay. I turned back around and started to walk fast.

"What were you going to say?" Dad asked. My only response was to talk faster. "Kurt. Stop and tell me what you were going to say." I could hear the assertiveness in his voice. It made me want to get my ass-outta-this-place, so I began to run.

Dad is still very fit. He goes to the gym after work almost every day and stays there for a good hour. He was able to catch up to me and tackle me into the grass. I know this seems weird but that's how my family has always been. "What were you going to say?"

I had no choice. Dad has a temper and I didn't like being on his bad side. The things drinking does to your personality. I spoke with the greatest of speed. "Daniel is in love with Spencer. He's known it for about a year now and he's scared to tell him. Almost everyone knows it but both Spencer and Daniel deny the other likes them. Daniel just let Hannah say shit about Spencer and he didn't do anything."

"So Daniel...is gay?" Dad asked. He got off of me and just looked lost.

"Yes."

"And he...likes Spencer?"

"Again...yes."

"Why hasn't he told me?"

"He lost Mom a few years ago. He didn't want to lose you too if you didn't accept him for who he is."

Dad hugged me. "He's my son though, I'll always love him."

"Dad, we just discussed that he's gay. That means he's a drama queen so he thinks everything will turn out bad." We both laughed.

Dad then hit me on the arm playfully. "Don't be mean to your brother. He's going through a rough time I guess. Now come on, we need to go home."

"What about Daniel?"

"I'll call and say the truck broke down and see if they'll take him home. Now that I know that bitch is keeping my son away from love, I don't want to see her again." My dad said with a smile.

"Just please, promise me you won't confront Daniel about it. Let him come to you."

"I know. I may be a guy but I'm not that stupid son." Dad and I then walked back and got in the truck. The whole way home we talked about Daniel and Spencer. Maybe this night wasn't so bad after all.

Every time I read a story of Nifty, I never read the top part, so just in case you are like me and only read the bottom portion if you liked the story, here is my email again: wah.stories@yahoo.com. Also, if you want to be on my email list to find out when new chapters come out, include that in your email. AND if you email me, please state what story you're referring to. Thanks for reading the first chapter of my story.

I'd also like to give thanks to my editor, John. He's like majorly epic and catches my mistakes. I make a lot of them so he deserves as much credit as I do for getting this chapter out. And check out Hayden's Story AND Gavin's Got Game, they're here in the High School section, if you like this story.

Also, I want this story to be somewhat interactive, where yo tell me what you'd like to see happen next. There are no guarantees if it will make it, but there are possibilities. I already have some things planned out, but most are too obvious. I need you al to help me think of new things that no other story has. You will also get credited for that chapter so that's another plus :)

Also, check out one of my friend's youtube channel. It's karinnanazario. If you can't find it, then email me and I'll send you some linkage. Like me, she's an inspiring internet sensation and she needs your help as much as I need yours. And tell your friends about her too. Thanks!
