Gay

This is my first story with chapters that I'll be posting on Nifty. I've written others but decided to share this one first. Other stories I have written are Gavin's Got Game, Hayden's Story, Shawn's Turn, Teddy Bear, and the After Party. You can find the first three here in the high school section and the latter two in the college section, all under the gay category. If you have trouble finding them, I am under the Nifty author section as Aaron Hull so you can also find my stories that way. Warning: My shorter stories contain sex. If you like this story, contact me at wah.stories@yahoo.com. I strongly encourage it.

-Spencer perspective-

Eventually everyone had returned from their spring break escapades and we all discussed the uber amounts of fun we had; thankfully Macy did not tell anyone about me and Kurt because I just knew it would destroy Daniel and it would make everyone else feel awkward. We were all at Emma's house, it was a rare thing to be here, but her parents were out of town again so Emma invited us over for a small get together.

Emma had told us that her and Austin, her long distance boyfriend, had fun down in Panama, she tried telling us it was just a coincidence that he was there but we all knew that they had convinced their families to go to the same hotel on the same week. All of us think it's cute that Emma has a long distance relationship, most of us don't think we could do it but we're proud that distance doesn't mean a thing to Emma.

Daniel said that the cabin wasn't as fun as what he thought it would be because every other time he went there, he had Kurt along with him. This time he was stuck by himself as the two adults acted like teenagers and pranced around all week. I think the best part of his vacation, for us and not him, is that he could hear his dad having sex in the room beside him. I swear all of us, besides Daniel obviously, almost died of laughter when we heard this. Kurt was literally in tears on the floor.

Brennan and Mason has spent the week in Texas to see all their family. Apparently they have a pretty big family because Brennan went on about all one thousand of his cousins and how one had set him up with a cute guy down there. Brennan told us that the two of them basically talked for five minutes, made out, and then they exchanged numbers. It was nice seeing Brennan having fun. I know he and I were but I know he still has a crush on me so that's kinda stopped, all besides the occasional kiss or two or three and the frequent cuddle session.

"How was your break, Spencer?" Brennan asked me.

"It was fun.I got to hang out with Macy, Kurt, and Macy's cousin for most of the week. Cory's a pretty cool guy."

"He's thinking about coming down here sometime over the summer to meet the rest of my friends."

"I don't know why he'd want to do that." Kurt said. "Spencer and I are as good as they get."

This resulted in a scoff from Brennan and a couch pillow being thrown at him from Emma, who I may say has great accuracy, because it hit Kurt right in the side of the face without him even noticing it coming.

"Austin plans on coming down sometime in the next few weeks. I would really like it if all of you all would meet him."

"I already met the guy and he's got nothing on me." Kurt flexed his muscles, which were coming along nicely actually.

Emma rolled her eyes. "He is definitely smarter than you."

"He's also nice." Daniel added.

"And funny."

"And adorable."

"And romantic."

"And modest."

Kurt then interrupted the two. "And you guys definitely know how to boost my ego." This caused us all to laugh again.

Today was the first GSA meeting. There were a lot more people here than what I thought would show up. Macy, Kurt, Daniel, Emma, Mason, Lily, Tyler, Megan, and Brennan were obviously there. Tyler and Lily had gotten a good amount of jocks and preps to come, which surprised me. There were people there who I wished weren't: Jessie, Trey, Ricky, Hannah, and the guy Jessie is apparently dating. Lizzie showed up, which was weird because she was with her new group of friends and she had to pass by her old group when entering the room. In the back was a large group of college students who participated in the college's GSA, Caleb was among this group, as well as Canyon. And then there were also a bunch of people I had no idea existed, our school is pretty big so it's not like I should know everyone.

Lily walked up to the podium in the room to start the meeting. "Hello. Most of you already know me but for those of you who don't, my name is Lily Donovan. I'm a cheerleader here, hoping to be captain next year after she who shall not be named has to take care of her baby." This made everyone laugh. "Welcome to the first GSA meeting. I have no idea what we are supposed to do as a club, so my lovely assistant Brennan Glover got a hold of the college's GSA and we have some of them here to talk to us about what we should start doing here. But before we do that, I think we should all get to know each other and know why all of us are here. Please remember that we have a limited amount of time and we have about fifty kids here so try to keep it brief." This made everyone laugh again.

Lily then went on to explain to everyone why she wanted to start a GSA. Everyone in the room, no matter how slutty or high they were, had a tear in their eye. Lily had always seemed like a super prep but hearing her speak her story a second time, it makes me realize that she's just like us. She then had me tell my story, but most knew about it. Everyone else in the room talked about their experiences or why they wanted to help make the world more equal. All of the jocks and preps actually had gay relatives, friends, and other people who they were close to and that shocked me. The best part is that everyone said what their sexuality was, Kurt even admitted he was bi, which shocked a lot of people. I liked that mainly because Brennan has been single for so long and I needed to find him a cutie to go out with.

Once everyone had introduced themselves, Caleb came up to the podium. "Hey. I`m Caleb Short, I'm the president of the GSA at the local college. Where I went to highschool I was a part of the GSA there and it definitely wasn't this large and it had been around for a few years. I initially only joined because there was this girl I liked and her brother was gay so I joined the GSA to show her I supported her brother. We did date for a while, but it quickly ended after she realized that she was a lesbian." This made everyone laugh. "I stayed in GSA though because I actually liked what we were doing. The main focus of GSA is to help make schools and eventually communities safe for gays. The way you all can help do this is by doing fund raisers, getting involved in GLBT days such as the day of silence and pride day, show others what some gays go through on a daily basis. Anything you can think of to make people realize that there is no difference between someone who is straight and someone who is gay will help out more than you think. Just think, if each of you can change the views of two people each, that's about a hundred people. Those one hundred people will have families and raise them gay friendly and they will also spread their new philosophy and sooner or later this one little club will have changed the lives of so many in a positive way."

Caleb continued to talk about why we should be proud to be a part of GSA and why we should do everything we can to make this world a better place. I cried a little, mainly because six months ago I didn't have a sister because her boyfriend hated me so much and now her new boyfriend is standing up for me. If these two ever break up I'm going to kill Megan, even if it's somehow Caleb's fault.

After his speech was finished, Lily returned to the podium. "We still have about twenty minutes til we will be forced out of here so you can either go ahead and leave or you can stick around and talk to some of the college students or even get your flirt on and find yourself a man...or a woman."

Only a few people left, mainly because their rides were here. They all, however, hugged both me and Lily and told us that this club was going to change their lives. I could see a tear in Lily's eye and I knew that this was exactly what Lily needed.

Brennan found me in the crowd of people, I was talking to these two freshman girls who had apparently been dating for a while. I had a class with one of them and never knew that she was a lesbian. "Hey, Brennan. Do you know Ashley and Katie?"

"Yeah. Ashley cheers." He then hugged Ashley and the two of them chit-chatted for literally five seconds. "Hey, Spence. I need you to come talk to those guys I was talking about."

"Okay." I turned back to the girls. "It was nice meeting you." I then turned and followed Brennan. I was actually kind of nervous because these guys would be at least six years older than me. When we finally got to them, they were on the other side of the room, I at first didn't think they were a couple. Neither of them had anything gay about them. They both looked like cute yet masculine straight guys.

"Spencer, I'd like you to meet Elio and Mike." He pointed out which was Elio and which was Mike. Elio is Puerto Rican around 5'10 while Mike is mixed, hispanic and black, and he's around 6'2. I couldn't believe that the two of them were dating, I was in awe. I know Mason has the straight-guy look but even he has like those little things that could give it away that he likes guys.

"Hi, it's nice to meet you." I said to them as I shook hands with both of them; they both seemed pretty chill.

"So, Brennan was telling us that you and this Mason guy have had a rough time." Elio said.

It hurt hearing his name, today was the first day I really looked at him. When he was telling us about his coming-out story, I just wanted to kiss him. "Yeah. It's complicated."

"Love should be complicated." Elio said as he grabbed Mike's hand.

"All the downs we've had in our relationship are worth all those ups." Mike said. The two smiled at each other. It was so great to see them. I could tell they truly were in love.

"Would it be okay if I told you a little bit about our relationship? Let you see how rough it can get." Elio asked me.

I looked over at Brennan. I was upset that he basically found a nice couple and got them to come and tell me to get back with Mason. At the same time, though, it was nice that he wanted me and Mason to be happy again. "That would be fantastic."

"Mike and I originally became friends online. At the time he thought he was straight. I would tell him all the time that I was done with finding love. In response he would tell me that I shouldn't give up and that I'd find someone eventually. The two of us had no idea at the time that we had both found love when we first messaged each other." I was already into the story. "One day Mike told me that he was moving across the country and wanted to know if we could meet because there was the possibility that we would never have another chance. Of course I said I wanted to hang out and we did. When the day for him to move had finally came, he stayed; he wanted to stay with me. That was the first time anyone had showed me any love since I was a little kid. When I was 15, I came out and I was kicked out, but thankfully I had Mike there with me."

Mike took over. "Ever since then the two of us have been a couple. We've both done some pretty stupid things and we've almost come to the point where we wanted to give up, but we didn't. We fought through it and stayed together. I honestly never would have guessed that Elio would be the person of my dreams, but I now know that we were meant to be. I honestly couldn't see my future without him in it."

"Wow. Thanks for telling me your story." I truly was amazed by their story. I could also tell they were both stronger than me. I ended my relationship immediately but these two have fought so hard for what they have, this was the moment I realized that I shouldn't have ended things with Mason. Like Mike, I can't imagine a future without the person I love.

"You're welcome." Mike said.

"I hope this makes you rethink the single life." Elio said with a smile.

"It sure does. You have no idea how much you all have impacted my life. The love you two have is truly amazing. I hope, no wait, know you two will have a great future together." I then thanked Brennan and left the three of them to talk. I had something to do.

-Mason's perspective-

"Hi. I'm Mason Glover. Most of you probably know who I am though." Everyone was quiet. I glanced over at Spencer and he averted his eyes. It hurt. But I deserved it. "I first came out last year. I lost all my friends. I was even forced into some sexual acts by my senior teammates. I wanted to die. I hated everything. I had lost my first love and was all alone. The guy I thought I had loved and I had came out with told his parents it was my fault he was gay. That's probably what hurt the most. When I came here, I told myself that I'd "be straight" and I wouldn't fall for any guy. That failed the first day of school." Everyone giggled. "I feel deep in love with a certain guy. I couldn't help but crave his companionship. There was nothing more in the world than to be his boyfriend, to be his protector, to be the love of his life." I had to take a break because I was so close to crying. "We eventually did after a long time. It was great. I knew that I could spend the rest of my life with him. I loved him so much that I came out for a second time, this time was better but there were still people who hated me. I was able to get past that though because I had the love of my life. I soon lost him, though, because of my stupidity. All of you probably know who I'm talking about. I'd like to apologize to you one more time." I looked at Spencer this time, he averted his eyes again but I could see tears in his eyes. I sat back down and everyone clapped for me. Tyler grabbed my hand and reassured me that everything would be okay.

During the rest of the meeting, I just sat there. I couldn't help but think of Spencer. I would look up at him and he'd be focused on whoever was speaking. When it came time to mingle, I talked to Canyon and his new boyfriend Cliff, I swear he's going to follow in his parents' footsteps with the hippie names. He seemed like a nice guy but I was still thinking about Spencer so I couldn't completely pay attention. After a while I decided I should head out. As I was leaving, I looked around to see where Spencer was and he was with Brennan and two of the other college kids.

I thanked Lily for starting the club and headed out. I didn't get too far though. When I had opened the front door, I heard a voice that I hadn't heard in forever.

-Spencer's perspective-

"Hey, do you know where Mason went?" I asked Tyler. He and I had never been friends but I knew if I wanted to find Mason, he'd be the one to know where he was.

Tyler seemed shocked that I said Mason's name, he probably thought I was looking for Lily. "Uhh yeah. He left like a minute ago."

"Thanks." I then turned and ran. I had to find him. I couldn't spend another minute without him.

Since I knew where he parked, I knew which way he had gone. I thankfully saw him just as he had gotten to the door. "Mason!" He turned, he looked even more shocked than Tyler.

When I finally caught up to him, I hugged him and began to cry. He hugged me back and he also began to cry. "I love you so much, Spencer. Please take me back. I seriously don't know if I can survive without you."

"I'm so sorry I was so stupid. I never should have ended it. You are my world, Mason. I don't know what I would have done either."

We just stood there holding each other for a few minutes. The people who walked by thought it was awkward, but Mason and I had a lot of hugging to catch up on. When we finally separated, he had a giant smile on his face. I missed this smile so much.

"Life's been hell without you. I probably brought the mood down in every room I walked into."

"I'm so sorry. I wish I could go back in time. I know you needed me more than ever and I selfishly ended things."

"Don't say that. You ended it for a good reason. What I did is unforgivable."

"There is always room for forgiveness when it comes to the person you love."

His smile then faded. "There's something you'll have to forgive me for then."

"What is it?!" I was scared. I had no idea what to expect.

"I made out with some chick over Spring Break. I was really drunk and we almost had sex but I passed out before that ever happened."

I frowned. I know he thought I was upset with him, but I was upset with myself. I've done more than he has and he thinks that I would break up with him again for that. "You don't have to apologize for that. We weren't dating at the time."

"Are you sure?" He looked a little happier but he knew that something was still wrong with me. "What's wrong?"

"I....well Kurt and I...."

"Stop right there." He seemed mad. "I don't care what the fuck you did. I can guess what you are going to say and I honestly don't care. As long as I know that you will only be mine from now on then there is no reason for me to be mad. Like you said, we were apart."

I couldn't help but tear up. "I love you so much."

"I love you too." It was then when the lips that belonged on my lips began to kiss me. I melted in his arms as the two of us kissed. Using my sixth sense, I could tell that our friends were behind us but I didn't care. I had Mason again. There was nothing that could change how happy I was.

Then the one thing that could have separated is was said. "Does this mean we can't fuck anymore?" Mason and I burst out in laughter to Kurt's question. Most of the others like Macy and Tyler also start to die of laughter, but most of them, like Megan, especially Megan, were asking thousands of questions.

Mason then spoke up. "I'm normally not a controlling boyfriend but you and Spencer are no longer allowed to have sex. That is...if I'm not around." This made me blush and hide my face in Mason's chest, the chest that I would be hiding in for the rest of my life.

Again, there was a lot of laughter and third degree from the group. I looked to see who all was there and surely enough, Macy, Brennan, Kurt, Megan, Daniel, Emma, Lily, and Tyler were all standing there. One thing that shocked me was that Daniel was smiling. He was happy for me. I guess he realized that he and I were just meant to be friends too.

I'd like to thank Elio, one of my favorite fans, for talking to me and giving me a way to getting the cutest gay couple back together. If it weren't for him I don't know if Spason would have happened again. Thank you so much for being a fan of my writing and being a now good friend.
