Gay

This is my first story that has chapters! My other story is Hayden's Story, it's here under the High School section. If you like this story then you should check it out because there are some similarities except this one doesn't have sex. So if that's what you were looking for I'm sorry. My shorter stories may have sex but this story will contain no sex, there may be references to sex, but I will not go into detail.

If you like this story, contact me at wah.stories@yahoo.com. I strongly encourage it. Also, If you want to be on my e-mail list to find out when the next chapter comes out, please include that in the email! I forgot to ask that for Hayden's Story, but one of my epic fans reminded me to do that.

-Spencer's perspective after Mason leaves the bathroom-

What am I going to do! Mason knows I'm gay! I can't just walk out of here and act okay! First off I suck at acting! And then the fact that Mason is gonna tell the whole school I'm a fag like Ricky! It's not fair! I didn't ask for any of this.

I then heard the door open. I calmed down enough to look over and see that Daniel was standing there. "I'm sorry for the way I was acting earlier. I should've been nice to Mason."

"It doesn't matter anymore. He's probably going to tell the whole school I'm a fag."

"What?!" Daniel nearly yelled. He then composed himself and said, "Why would he tell the whole school you're a fag?"

"When I came in here earlier.. Ricky was in here. You know how he like harassed me last year?" Daniel nodded. "Well he made a move today. He pinned me against the wall and started to grind into me. I was scared and just stood there. Then Mason came in and ripped Ricky off of me and nearly kicked his ass. Mason and I then talked a little and before he left I asked him how much he heard and he said everything."

"Well if he does tell everyone you're a fag, you know me, Lizzie, Kurt, Macy, and Jessie will still be here for you. Lizzie is lesbian and Jessie is bi but we all are here for them."

"I know. It's just, when a girl likes girls it's all good. But when a guy likes a guy, it's like hell for them."

"I've noticed. Remember when Ricky came out?" Daniel laughed.

"Seventh grade right?" I didn't remember because it really didn't surprise me.

"Yeah. His best friend Trey kicked his ass like the day after."

Daniel and I headed toward the door. "I heard that the reason why Trey kicked his ass was because he and Ricky were fooling around and he was scared people would think he was gay since they hung out so much."

"What ever happened to Trey?" Daniel asked.

"He switched middle schools the day after the fight. If he hasn't moved or failed he now goes here."

"I wonder if he would kick Ricky's ass again since that Mason dude is too chicken." Just hearing Mason's name made me shudder. Daniel noticed and his smile turned into a scold.

Daniel and I entered back into the gym and went up the bleachers to Lizzie and the others. Lizzie kept asking me questions and wanted to know why I had left like that. I refused to answer and Jessie finally got her to stop by whispering something in her ear. I'm pretty sure it was something sexual and something I didn't want to know, but it kept Lizzie down so I was thankful.

When the pep rally was finally over, we all left the gym and were told to go to homeroom for the rest of the day. Thankfully, Kurt, Daniel, and Jessie are all in there with me. Sadly, Ricky is in my homeroom as well. They sort us out by last name and all of us, except Ricky, have the letter M starting our last names. Ricky has an N, sadly our room is all M's, all N's, and some O's.

"Do you think Ms. Marshall is gonna be a hard ass?" Kurt asked us. "I have her third period this year. What about you guys?"

"I have Ms. Osborne for fifth." I answered.

"Me too!" Jessie said. "I hope I have a lot of classes with Lizzie."

"I hope you two don't." Kurt said. "You two would have sex in the back of the classroom."

"We would probably kiss. But that's about it." Jessie retorted.

"Who do you have for math?" I asked Daniel privately. Jessie and Kurt were debating over what she and Lizzie would do.

"I actually have Ms. Osborne with you and Jessie." He smiled.

"What other classes do we have together?"

"Well let me see your schedule." I handed Daniel my schedule and he looked it over. "We have first and fifth together. That's it."

"What about lunch?"

"Looks like we have that together too." Daniel smiled and handed me back my schedule.

"I feel sorry for you, Spencer. You have to look at that face when you eat." Kurt said.

"Last time I checked, you two are twins." Jessie said smiling.

Kurt stood there stumped for a minute. "Girls are stupid so stop acting smart."

"So you're saying that you're a girl?" Jessie said laughing. Daniel and I joined her and Kurt rolled his eyes.

When we reached Ms. Marshall's room, everyone else was already in there. The only seats that were left were side by side so the four of us would have to spread out. Kurt sat in the front right corner next to this chick, who I think he was going to flirt with. Daniel sat in the middle row and started talking to these kids he must've known from last year. Jessie tapped the girl's shoulder who was sitting by Kurt; the girl soon shook, gave Kurt a death glare, and then moved seats. Jessie took the girl's seat beside Kurt with a sly smile on her face. I ended up having to sit in the back corner next to this kid who looked pretty familiar.

"Hey, I'm Spencer."

He looked up from his book. "I'm Trey." He then looked down at his book.

I then remembered where I had seen him! This is Trey! THE Trey! The one who kicked Ricky's ass in 7th grade. He and I never talked before but he was popular so everyone knew him. "Trey Masters?!"

He looked up from his book. "Umm. Yeah. How did you know?" He then went back to reading. I don't think he really cared.

"Springfield Middle School. You and Ricky were like best friends-"

Trey closed his book. "We weren't friends. Please. Don't bring his name up."

"Sorry. But don't worry if you think he like sent me or whatever. I hate his ass too."

"Nobody hates him more than me."

"I'm not so sure about that. Today, during the pep rally, he nearly raped me in the bathroom."

"So you're gay too?" He asked. "I mean...as in...you're gay too...like Ricky."

"Actually-"

"Welcome to homeroom, students!" Ms. Marshall said as she entered the room. "I will be your homeroom teacher for the year. If you have any questions about the school or your classes, just ask me. I know you have heard the school rules so many times and I know most teachers will read them off to you in class tomorrow, so I will let you guys talk."

"So what were you saying?" Trey asked.

"Actually-"

"Hey Spencer. Hey...dude." Kurt said as he pulled a chair up in between Trey and me. Daniel and Jessie were coming over as well.

"This is Trey." I pointed to Trey. He smiled and put his hand out to Kurt.

"I remember you from middle school. You're the dude that beat the shit out of Ricky. I love you, dude!" He shook Trey's hand.

Trey laughed. "It seems like Ricky is the only reason why anyone from Springfield Middle School remembers me."

"It's just that it was the first fight at our school in like forever!" It actually wasn't. It was only the first fight Kurt had seen. There were like eight others that year that Kurt denied the existence of because he didn't see them.

"Well, I'm happy I could make your seventh grade year awesome."

"So, you gonna kick his ass this year?"

"No. I actually might try to reconcile with him if he's not as slutty as he was in middle school."

"His slut level like doubles every year." I said. "Rumor has it that his older sister got him into a college party and like half the frat guys fucked him when they were like piss drunk."

"I honestly would believe that." Trey said laughing.

"Dude, my brother goes to that college." Jessie said. That made all of us laugh.

The five of us talked about random things. Kurt loved telling stories of our stupid memories and he loved hearing Trey's stupid memories. Once the topic was back on Ricky, Trey made a mistake. A huge mistake. He called Ricky a fag.

"Do you have something against the GLBT community?" Jessie asked. Jessie hates the words fag, queer, and every other slur referencing of gays. "I'm bi and I have a girlfriend, who just so happens to be a friends of all of us. If you have a problem with that then you can fuck off."

"Why would I have a problem with the GLBT community when I'm one of them?"

"Why did you use the f word then?"

"Well, I was raised with there being a difference between gays and fags. Gays are likeable, fags aren't likeable."

"Well, if you're going to hang out with us, then you cut that shit out. It doesn't matter if someone annoys you or not, they aren't a fag."

"Ok. I'm honestly sorry guys. I hope you can forgive me, Jessie."

"Apology accepted. Now tell me, are you gay or bi?"

"I'm gay but not really out. My parents know but that's about it. I'm going to start telling people this year though."

"You should come out with us this Friday!" Kurt said.

"Huh?" Trey asked.

"Me and my girl, Jessie and her girl, Daniel and this chick my girl hooked him up with, and then you and Spence."

Trey looked at me and smiled. "Well, only if that's okay with Spencer."

All four of them were looking at me. "I need to go." I got up and ran out the door of the room. Thankfully, Ms. Marshall didn't see me.

I quickly found Mr. Suez's room, he is Lizzie's homeroom teacher. I knocked on his door and he told me to enter, I think. He said something in Spanish. "I'm looking for Elizabeth Sanchez." Lizzie hates her name. But it's the only way Mr. Suez would think I was sent from the office or something and not just a friend.

"Ms. Sanchez, you have five minutes." Mr. Suez said. Lizzy got up and quickly came to the door. She shut the door on her way out. We started to walk though the halls. I was quiet for a while; I didn't know what to say.

"What's wrong? You only pull me out of class like that during an emergency."

"I think everyone knows I'm gay." I tried holding the tears back.

"So? Everyone knows I'm a lesbian. All our friends won't care. Just be careful around shit faces likes Isabella and Jordan." Lizzie said matter-of-factly. She never seemed to be nervous.

"Gay guys and gay girls are treated differently. Gay guys get their asses kicked. Gay girls get their asses kissed."

"I wouldn't say that, Spencer. Not all lesbians are into foreplay like that. Take Jessie for example."

"Please! Don't say any more than that!"

Lizzie laughed. "You have nothing to worry about, Spencer. And you never know, if you came out, then the sexy gay and bi guys at this school might not be scared to approach you."

"Nobody in their right mind wants me. Well, except Trey."

"Who is this Trey kid?" Lizzie asked.

"The Trey that beat the shit out of Ricky in seventh grade."

"You mean my hero?!" She hates Ricky as much as I do even though he has never messed with her. She says he gives the GLBT community a bad name. "You're totally going to date him! I remember him and he was SEXAY! If you don't ask him to our get together this Friday, I'll invite him for you."

"That's the thing. Kurt invited him already. It seems like Kurt and Macy already hooked up Hannah and Daniel, so Kurt started to find me someone. I never told him that I'm gay but when Trey told us he was gay and was afraid of admitting it in seventh grade, Kurt asked him if he would be my date this Friday. He said as long as I wanted to go with him, but I freaked and ran out of the classroom."

"You run too much, buddy." Lizzie said. "You should try doing that with the closet. Just run out and be free. I'll fuck up anyone who tried messing with you. You gotta remember, I'm in a gang. Or is it a mob? Mafia? I can't remember what it is. But it's the Mexican something-or-other."

I laughed. Lizzie and Kurt always knew how to make me laugh when things were shitty. "I think it's the mafia."

"So? What's it gonna be?" Trey asked me in Chemistry on Friday. We have second, fifth, and sixth together, and chemistry is our sixth period. I have yet to answer Trey on whether we were going out tonight, but I have officially come out to my friends and family. It wasn't easy, but it's over with and I feel much better than I did before.

"You have to say yes!" Lizzie said. Sadly, she's in here with us.

"Without you it won't be any fun!" Same for Jessie.

"Just to make you two shut up, yes Trey, I want to go out with you tonight."

I think Jessie and Lizzie were more excited than Trey, but he did smile and mouth the words `thank you' as Jessie and Lizzie hugged me. "This is going to be your first date!" Lizzie said. "I'm going to help you get ready! I'll be at your place at like...when are we going?" She turned to Jessie.

Jessie rolled her eyes. "Eight."

"Seven!" Lizzie said to me.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

It was 7:05 and Lizzie was in my closet looking for something. "I can't believe my baby is going on his first date." My mom said, standing at the door.

"Don't worry Ms. McAlister, I'll keep him safe." Lizzie said. She pulled out a shirt, looked at the front, looked at the back, tossed it on the floor.

"He's not the one I'm worried about. Spencer has always been good. I'm just worried about this Trey kid. From what I heard, he got into a fight in middle school with his boyfriend."

"Where did you hear that from?" I asked.

"Kurt's mother. She called me today and informed me. She said she heard Kurt and Daniel talking about it. Daniel was yelling at Kurt so she had to make sure everything was okay and heard one of them say that."

"They weren't dating. They liked each other but Trey wasn't ready. And yes he did beat up Ricky but everyone wants to."

"Spencer! If I hear you say that once more you won't be going out tonight!"

"Sorry Mom, but it's true."

"He's not lying Ms. McAlister. No one likes Ricky." Lizzie said in my defense. Her eyes were concentrated on my closet while her ears were focused on me and my mom.

"And why is that?"

"He sleeps with anything and everything. Except Trey. Trey was too scared to do that crap." Apparently Lizzie's mind was in my closest as well.

"That's not nice, Elizabeth! Do you want me to call your mother and tell her what you are saying about this innocent kid?"

"I'm sorry Ms. McAlister. I won't say it again." If you're wondering why my mom is Ms. McAlister and not Mrs. McAlister, it's because she and my dad were never married. He was a drunk and she didn't want to have to get a divorce and put us kids in danger if they broke up or he got too drunk. One day after a fight when I was only about 7, Dad left. Mom called him a couple hours later and asked when he would be back, he said soon. Soon still hasn't came though.

Lizzie then screamed. "I found it!" Lizzie then grabbed the shirt I wore last Easter. It's a pastel blue, striped, long sleeve, button-up shirt. "Do you happen to have a black tie Ms. McAlister?"

"I actually do. It was part of my band uniform in high school. I kept it so I could remember the good years."

"I thought you said raising Megan and me were the wonder years?"

"I was lying then sweetie." Mom then left to search for a black tie. Lizzie started to laugh but then got back to work to find my shoes and pants. She grabbed my black dress pants and my black dress shoes. I honestly felt like I was going to go to church.

"I'm not wearing that." I said to Lizzie.

"And why is that?"

"Because, we're going to Burger King, and then we're going to the movies. You're acting like we're going on a date to church."

"Well if it were up to me you would have to wear church clothes because you wouldn't be home in enough time to change for church." Lizzie winked and laughed.

"Go tell my mother to stop looking for the tie. I'm going to get dressed while you do so."

"If I don't like your outfit, I'm GOING to make you change."

"You try that and I'm GOING to make you wait outside." Lizzie left my room and shut my door. But she made sure to remind me to dress sexily.

I grabbed a red shirt similar to the one Lizzie picked out, but it was short sleeved, and I grabbed my khaki shorts. I slipped them on quickly and presented myself to Lizzie. She immediately ripped my shirt, like no joke, and said red isn't my color. She then went back into my closet and pulled out my light blue A&F shirt that I seldom wore. Apparently blue is my color.

Every time I read a story of Nifty, I never read the top part, so just in case you are like me and only read the bottom portion if you liked the story, here is my email again: wah.stories@yahoo.com. Also, if you want to be on my email list to find out when new chapters come out, include that in your email. AND if you email me, please state what story you're referring to. Thanks for reading the first chapter of my story.

I'd also like to give thanks to my editor, John. He's like majorly epic and catches my mistakes. I make a lot of them so he deserves as much credit as I do for getting this chapter out. And check out Hayden's Story, it's here in the High School section, if you like this story.
