Chapter 13: It Ends tonight...

It was a cold day...not that I could remember what day it was...or even where I was. I made my way through a dark hall, not bothering to try a door on either side of me, but opting for the door farthest away, which glowed with white energy. As I stepped through the door, I found myself inside an old building, perhaps a farm or factory, and the walls were plattered with blood and there was a presence that I couldn't identify. I looked over to my left and there was Sam, then to my right and there was Dean. I saw that their eyes were not on me, but the multiple groups of robed figures all around.

" Chalis! Maybe he can hear us, you know how they say people in a coma can hear people talk." Sam's voice sounded far away.

" He should be alright, he just needs to rest. I fairly certain it's not a coma." the doctor's voice came from even farther.

" He's been asleep for days." Dean said sarcastically.

" I've kept him sedated. I had to, there was a gigantic splinter in his chest. He should wake at anytime." The doctor said, becoming clearer.

They became quiet as I began to stir, but I felt as if I still had a gigantic hole in my chest. They all stared at first, but the doctor broke the silence to check me out, then he left.

" Did I get him?" I asked weakly.

They smiled and looked around the room and noticed I was in the hospital. I noticed that Dean and Sam looked dirty and tired.

" You guys went on a hunt while I was dying?" I asked sarcastically.

" First there were the clowns, then on the way back...there was...Vampires, new hunters...and ghosts of ex-girlfriends." Dean stuttered.

" Yeah, not sure I care now. How do I look?" I asked

There was silence.

" Damn...I look that bad? Don't answer that...so, other hunters besides Jo and Ellen?" I asked, trying to change the subject.

" Hey, we took care of those damn clowns" Sam said, without warning.

I stopped, then shifted and groaned.

" Are you okay?" Sam said, edging closer.

" Dunno, being impaled by a large...wooden...thingy causes major splinters." I said quickly.

" So we're going to be here for a while, so..." Dean started, but I cut him off.

" Because of me? No, we can go." I said simply.

" No, you need to get better." Sam said, shifting.

" I think I'm in the best hands now." I said, getting up from the chair.

I smiled at them and they smiled back, but the images of the dream had me wondering. Something about it seemed so real...Everything about it seemed so real. I wanted to tell them the truth, but everytime I open my mouth they fight or something happens, so I decided to say nothing.

" Are you okay?" Sam asked, touching my shoulder.

" Yah, um...I'm good." I said, smiling.

I watched tv and slept for hours. I watched Dean and Sam, who were once again doing different things. Sam was researching and Dean was with me on the bed watching tv. I noticed that Dean watched me and I turned to him.

" What is it? Do I have drool or something?" I asked, running my hand across my mouth.

" Naw, it's just that your tough. And you're still..." Dean laughed, then he stopped.

" What?" I asked.

" It's..." Dean started.

Before he could get the words out, there was a loud crash! Sam and Dean both looked at each other and headed out the door. Dean stopped and reached into a bag he'd brought and pulled out a cross and a stake, then tossed it to me.

" Stay here until we get back!" Dean commanded.

They left me in the room and I saw the guy from my dream ran down the hall after Dean and Sam. The guy from the altar...I rolled out of bed and tried to stand, and though it was a little rocky, I was standing. I walked to the door and before I could open it, it flew open! Dean and Sam ran in and grabbed me and their bag and we ran down the hall! Once we were outside the hall, I saw 4 men in robes standing at the end of the hall.

" Where's the guy?" I asked.

" What guy?" Dean asked, looking at me.

" The guy from my dream!" Sam and I shouted at the same time.

Dean looked at both of us shocked then back at the robed figures.

" The barn...not far from here." I said shocking myself.

" How'd you know that?" Dean asked, both he and Sam watching me.

" Not sure." I said, preparing to fight, or run from the figures in front of me.

Just then the men came at us and we ran to the end of the hall and found a stairway. We ran all the way to the ground floor and noticed that there were two robed figures standing by the Impala. Dean and Sam nodded to each other and they ambushed the guys! Seeing them kick ass turned me on, I must admit, and that wasn't a good thing to be in a hospital gown. Once they finished the guys, I ran to them and jumped in the car and we sped off.

" Just what town are we in?" I asked

" Some backwater town." Dean answered from the driver's seat.

" Are you okay?" Sam asked.

" I'm good."

Sam stared at me for a minute, then broke eye contact.

" So, this barn, where is it?" Dean asked, speeding up.

" Up there!" I shouted, poiting up the hill.

We sped there and I told him to stop just before we got there so I could change. I couldn't go into battle with the hospital gown. I changed into a t-shirt, jeans, and combat boots. As I was finishing up, I noticed that Sam was watching, or at least glanced at the moment.

" Are you sure you're up to this? We could do it alone." Sam said, trying to persuade me not to go.

" Probaly, but I'm good so you don't have to worry about that. Sam, you can move things with your mind sometime and you can see things in dreams. I can feel emotions and then there was the spooky energy I used to fight Riley...what?..." I asked, hoping for an answer.

" I don't know." He said simply.

Sam felt so comfortable to me and at the same time I wished that we weren't marching into battle. Sam was the one who was in the spotlight, whereas Dean was the one who saw things how they really were. Sam got the diluted version and as much as I was developing a crush on Sam, I didn't want to be him...then I looked up into his eyes for the second time and he bent down and kissed me. I was so shocked that I just lingered!

" I...we can't do this." Sam said, looking away.

" Why?" I asked quietly.

" I'm older than you and...we work together." Sam replied, trying to think of more reasons.

" So, you're...I don't understand." I said honestly.

" If things were different." Sam said, looking back at me.

" I don't." I said, walking away.

I was still shocked and at this time I was disappointed too. A tear formed in my eye, but I quickly wiped it away and went back to the car. I sat in the back looking out the window, while Sam drove and Dean searched for a song. He stopped at " It Ends Tonight" but the All-American Rejects. It hyped me up and I noticed Sam look back every now and then, trying to make eye contact.

" Hey, Chalis, are you okay? You haven't asked a question or said anything since we left." Dean chuckled.

" Me? I...no, Dean, I just..." I stuttered, then stopped.

Dean stared at me, so I dropped it and looked out the window. Dean turned back around and turn the song up as we sped to the barn. I hadn't notice us pull up until Sam stopped abruptly.

" What is wrong with you? Where'd you get your license? Dumb-ass U?" Dean said, falling back into his seat.

I chuckled and Sam cast a bitter look back at me, then hopped out of the car. Dean and I followed and we snuck up to the barn.

" They're expecting us." I said, staring into the barn.

Sam and Dean looked at me, then opened the barn doors carefully. We crept into the spacious barn was quickly noticed the guy, tied to the altar. Just like in my dream, Dean and Sam were looking at the multiple groups of robed figures.

" Any ideas?" Dean whispered.

" We charge them...then die." I gulped.

" Looking for less death, more victory. Sam, you ready?" Dean quipped.

" Yeah." Sam said furiously.

" They say if you bring back a bad memory, then you can have extra strength or something like that. It's called, 'Righteous Anger' I think." I informed them.

" I think I have one. Let's just go!" Sam said turning to me.

" I second that!" Dean said.

" Wait!" one of the hooded figures shouted.

I took him to be the leader, but that's not the shocker. I listened carefully and examined the voice...I knew that voice!

" Andrew?" I asked, stepping forward.

Sam and Dean looked at me, then at the hooded figure, who was removing his hood and revealing his face and already acknowledged identity.

" I'm glad you could make it." Andrew smiled.

" You know him?" Sam asked, fuming.

" Yeah...he's my ex." I said, not taking my eyes off him.

Sam looked even more furious and Dean looked relieved, yet shocked.
