Chapter 6: Old Wounds

I sat in the imapala, wishing that I knew what they were doing next, but I didn't. I'd pretty much been silent and not talked about the incident at the barn and I knew it was coming, but no one ever asked, not even Sam. But I definitely felt it coming, and I knew the question was about to be asked when I saw Dean's eyes looking at me from the rearview mirror.

" So...you had a-" Dean began, but I cut her off.

" -boyfriend, yeah, is that going to be a problem?" I asked, a bit irritated already.

" No, no, I just. You just surprise me is all." Dean said cautiously.

" Why did you say that?" I asked.

" Say what?" Dean said quickly.

" Nothing. Can you turn on the radio?" I asked, looking out the window.

Dean sighed, then mumbled, " Just like a girl..."

" What!" I shouted over the music.

" Nothing." Dean said, flipping through the radio.

================================================================================================================

We stopped at a rest station, due mostly to the fact that we needed gas, but because the tension between Dean and I had become so much worse. I left Dean and Sam to go to the rest room. Once in the bathroom, I went into a stall and slammed it shut! I had felt so weird since the night before. Cranky wasn't the word and I noticed it, so I knew Sam had noticed.

" Why did I have to run into my old boyfriend? My ex just has to be the evil leader of a cult!" I said, holding my head.

The door opened and someone walked in, but I couldn't tell because I refused to open the door. I noticed the footsteps come closer and closer, then stop at my stall. I felt so paranoid, I thought it was another demon coming for me, then there was a knock.

" Hey, Chalis, are you in there?" Sam shouted, knocking.

A feeling of relief washed over me and I lunged at the door. I opened it and he stepped in and kissed me.

" Hey, are you okay? Ever since last night, you've been..." sam started, then trailed off.

" Yeah, I just...I'm tired and feeling sick. But I'm good." I said, still hugging him.

" Look, Dean didn't mean to make you mad, he just was shocked like I was when I first learned about you." Sam said carefully.

I kissed him, " I know. I should apologize." I said, reaching to open the door.

Just then, I heard the door open and we looked at each other. I thought about it quickly and rolled under the stall and into the next one, then opened the door to see Dean.

" Hey...have you seen Sam?" Dean asked, surprised by my sudden appearance.

I shook my head and he turned to leave, but I stopped him, " Umm, Dean, I'm sorry about earlier. I'm on edge about things lately and I think I'm beginning to get sick...Ok, this started off as an apology and I'm turning it into a..." I rambled, but he stopped me.

" Hey, we're good." he smiled.

" I don't want us to be good. I want us to be friends." I said quickly.

Dean walked to the door, then turned to me, " I thought we already were. I guess we aren't, but hopefully someday we will be." Dean said, walking out the door.

I felt embarassed and a little sad as I remembered Sam was in the stall. I looked back to the stall, then walked out of the bathroom.

-Flashback-

I was sitting at home listening to my iPod, when I heard something hit my window, so I opened it and got hit in the forehead with a small rock!

Andrew crawled through my window, " This never gets easier." He panted.

" Maybe that's because you never do it right." I said.

" There's a right way?" He asked.

" Well, you could use the ladder I put in the bushes." I sighed.

" When did you put it there?" Andrew asked, looking back into the yard.

" Umm, it's been there for two weeks! I told you about it two weeks ago and you've yet to use it." I chuckled.

We both laughed.

Andrew grabbed my side, " Well, you know when I'm around you, I lose my mind." he said, kissing my neck. We kissed and fell back onto the bed, but I stopped after he tried to lift my shirt off.

" you know I'm not ready." I said, sitting up.

" So I've heard." Andrew spat.

" What's that supposed to mean?" I asked impatiently.

Andrew headed for the window, " Take it how you want it!" Andrew said, climbing out the window.

====================================================================================================================

The town in which we stopped was...not a town. We were in the middle of nowhere! We were staying with Ellen and her daughter, whom I hadn't met yet. We sat around for a while before we decided to go down to the Roadhouse, which was downstairs. Sam and Dean left, but I stayed back to change clothes. I put on some loose pants, a t-shirt, and a pair of flip-flops, then walked to the mirror. I stared at my reflecion in the mirror...I was so tired and my face showed it. I also surveyed my chest until I saw something move in the mirror and looked back to see what it was. Nothing. But when I turned back to the mirror, I saw a nerdy-looking girl and suddenly I felt cold!

============================================================================================================================

-Flashback-

Once again, I sat in my bed typing on my laptop, when i felt a gust of wind and a shadow creep threw my room. I stopped and looked towards his closet doors and stared for just a second, then noticed some yellow eyes staring through the closet doors and I slowly lifted from the bed and walked to the window. Suddenly, there was a knock at the window and I jumped and turned to see Andrew! I quickly turned back to the closet abd realized that whatever I saw was gone.

" What's up?" Andrew asked suspiciously looking from me to the closet.

" Your guess is as good as mine." I said, quickly hugging him.

========================================================================================================

Soon I had gotten dressed again, I was now wearing some very tight jeans, a tight shirt, and a pair of boots. I was now watching through my eyes, but not living it. "I" met Sam and Dean in the bar and they just stared at first.

" Wow...um, I thought you were just gonna wear a t-shirt and jeans from now on." Sam asked.

" This is not you...I mean you're..." Dean chuckled.

" A slouch? Bait? Always in trouble?" I asked, bending down a few centimeters away from his face, " I think I wanna make some trouble instead." I smiled.

Sam cleared his throat, " This is Um...Ellen and Jo...This is Chalis Gordon. Chalis, this is..." He said, but I interrupted.

" JO!" I shrieked.

===============================================================================================================

-Flashback-

I walked the halls, desperate to get to homeroom and find Andrew, but he was nowhere to be found. The plan was for Andrew to meet me before homeroom, but he wasn't even with hsi friends. Francine and Mickie, My best friends, were there though. They knew all my secrets.

" Where is he?" I asked angrily.

" I see you heard?" Francine said sheepishly.

" Duh, he's heard. Are you okay?" Mickie said slyly.

" Yes, I'm gonna run a marathon. Sure, I'm good. So, is it really true that he's engaged to some chick named Jo?" I asked, not listening to the teacher.

" No need for sarcasm. I'm just worried, is all." Mickie said, losing the smile.

" Mickie, do you have something you should say?" Francine blushed.

" Yeah, uhm...Chalis, we've been friends forever now and we kind of split when I went to the football team, and..." Mickie smiled, trying to get my undivided attention.

" Sorry, I can't deal with this!" i said, getting up and leaving.

" Wait, I have to tell you!" he shouted, " That I love you." he whispered, lowering his head.

=================================================================================================================

" Do I know you?" Jo asked, shocked.

I tilted my head, " Do you remember Andrew?" I asked patiently.

" I had a fiancee by that name, , but my mother didn't like him...that and he died." Jo said suspiciously.

" Wait...dead?" Sam asked.

I sat on his lap, " Not now. So, you really are the Jo that he left me for...interesting." I said carefully.

Sam, Dean, Jo, and Alex were all shocked at this display, but they also knew that I was getting to a point.

" He was gay?" Jo asked.

" How could you know? I mean that you were being a homewrecker." I smirked.

" He did mention that he was dating this prude before me. Real tease, but wasn't worth a name." Jo spat back at me.

I stood, " Cute. yeah, you see, he wondered what you would look like when we met you." I said cooly.

" We?" Dean asked.

I cleared my throat, " Me, I mean me. Gotta say...it's a real let down. I thought that you'd be less...dirty, or a better word...slutty." I smirked again.

Sam and Dean were now standing. Jo's jaw dropped and Ellen hadn't said a word since we'd met.

" Bored now. I'll catch you later...or, you know,Not." I said, leaving them standing there, looking at me.

I left and went to the nearest gay club...or at least my body did. I wasn't protesting as much as I should have been, even though this...this...spirit? Had taken my body for a spin. My body danced the instance it entered the club and it kissed countless guys and I soon found myself on top of the bar, dancing to a cheering crowd. As my body spun around, I saw a glimpse of Dean and Sam. Then a few feet away, Ellen, then in the corner, Jo. I stopped immediately at the sight of her, then smiled. I bent down and kissed the nearest guy, making the guy grab me. I jumped down and ordered a drink. Dean walked up beside me and I smirked.

" Can we talk in private?" Dean whispered in my ear.

" I don't know. Can you handle me?" I smiled, hopping up from the bar.

" I think I got something that can hold you." Dean said, grabbing his dick through his jeans.

" I bet." I smiled.

" Who are you?" Dean asked.

" Fun." I answered.

" The Chalis I know wouldn't act like this, he'd be like..." Dean said, being interrupted by me.

" A little brother?" I said.

" No, a better person." he frowned.

" Sad. He likes you, but your guard is always up..." I sighed.

==================================================================================================================

-Flashback-

I watched the phone, waiting for a call, but it never happened. I,once again, heard the familiar knock on the window and opened it quickly. Andrew crawled in and stood nervously in front of me.

" Tell me it's not true." I said, staring at him intensely.

" I met her at Freshman orientation. She's really nice and she's as tough as they come." Andrew said, lowering his head.

" You didn't say cute...or pretty...or beautiful." I said calmly.

" None of that matters, I love her." Andrew said.

I almost fell over when Andrew said that! The only thing that went through my mind was the promise he'd made that we'd always be together.

" Chalis...I love..." Andrew pleaded.

" Please go. GO!" I said, not looking at him.

Andrew looked at me for a minute, then left me there, staring into the mirror. Then I left the room to go sit on the porch.

=========================================================================================================================

Suddenly, I felt like my body was being ripped to pieces! Dean hurried me into the back room where Sam, Ellen, and Jo were waiting. My body looked around before it caught on that they were trying to exorcise the spirit! Sam chanted, but my body punched Dean and Ellen, knocking them against the wall and suddenly another person stood in the door.

" Andrew?!" Jo shrieked.

" Yes, lover, did you miss me?" Andrew said, slyly.

" And here I thought we had something. Did you set this up?" I said, fighting the exorcism.

" I missed you." Andrew smirked.

" You're sick...and it turns me on." I said cheerfully.

I turned to Jo, then walked to her and pushed her on her ass, " I don't like you!" I said angrily.

" Maybe you should do something about it!" Jo said, standing back up.

I smiled, then made to say something but stopped. I grabbed Jo's hair and punched her in the face! Jo elbowed me in the chest, then rolled on top of me as Sam's chanting became heavier and I rolled over onto Jo and began slapping her. Sam's chant finally paid off as everyone stopped to watch the spirit be expelled from my body. Even though the spirit was gone, I kept slapping her! I couldn't punch her, that would be unthinkable...at the moment. I slapped her until I felt hands wrap around my waist and pull me off. I just stared at her and tears began to roll down my cheeks. I looked up to see Sam cradling me and I didn't dare move. I just sat there, crying into his chest.

======================================================================================================================

-Flashback-

I sat on the porch, watching the lights flicker desperately before I saw a truck pull up. Tears were already streaming down my face and I noticed John get out of the truck. I didn't move until he did; I turned to run in, but the lights in the house weren't on, so I turned back to him.

" Uncle John, I don't think my dad is home, what's wrong?" I asked, wiping the tears away.

" Chalis...I've got something ta...something ta tell you." John uttered.

" That doesn't sound good. tell me tomorrow, I don't think I can take anymore bad..." I rambled.

" You father is dead!" John said shouted through my rambling.

"...news. What?" I asked, feeling the tears come back.
