Author's Remarks and Notice

Summer is here in the great white north and I shall be out in the countryside. As a result, I am going to take some time to relax and recharge.

Eventually, there will be more chapters with some interesting ideas that I have had and several suggestions from readers. Many have taken a liking to Gio and I may write some chapters with him as the focus and possibly do the same with Jeremy. That would take me well past the summer.

To all who have written and supported me, I think that I replied to all emails but again, thanks to all of you from literally all over the world, Canada, the US, South Africa, the UK, Poland, Australia and this week from Honduras to mention only some of the places that I have been able to identify. It is amazing the wide reach of the simple stories that I and others have written. Have a good summer in the northern hemisphere and a good winter father south.

Previously

The two of us climbed on the bed one on each side. "Sh, sh, Jeremy, it's OK. You are with us. You are safe." His eyes opened; he saw us and started to cry. We both held him and rocked him telling him what a bright, brave young man he was. I repeated over and over that he was safe and that we cared from him more than he could know. We must have stayed for 30 minutes and the crying turned to sobs which slowly changed to shallow and deeper breathing. We both had tears in our eyes as we slowly got off the bed and left the room. We left his door and ours open just in case. I gave my guy and hug of thanks. The principal was correct; he probably needed some help. My last conscious thought was thank you Father Gregory, we shall take good care of Jeremy. Well, you have to keep your promise to a priest.

Present

I woke up and wrapped my arms around my guy. We had slept well after our time with Jeremy. There was a little shuffling noise at our open door.

"Sorry, your door was open."

"Come on! Join us." I released Philip and made a spot between us. Thank goodness we had been tired enough that we had kept our boxers on. Now I had one thing that I did have to do. I was quickly willing my morning erection to disappear.

He lay between us and we both gave him big hugs.

"My father was never a huger. Thank you for last night. The dream was so vivid. I was reliving several experiences in one dream, layers on layers. Sorry for being such a wuss."

"That's what we are here for. Jeremy, you were assaulted by someone who you thought loved you for who you are. He let you down. We won't. Let's get some breakfast." He knew that we meant it.

We had a good breakfast and we chit chatted about the day. Jeremy had a busy one with some workouts along with his self defence class this morning and then work on his paper and some math. Kent was coming over for the afternoon to do some school work with him.

We had a big practice and game this afternoon. It was our first game of our season and we had invited the team over for beer and pizza. Jeremy said that it would be fun to meet a bunch of oldies and for that he got a headlock from Philip and a little tickling from me.

It was a busy day but we had an important stop to make. "Mamma, good to see you."

"You guys never just drop in. What's up?"

Me, "Mamma you are uncanny. You always know. We have something to tell you and discuss with you."

I looked at Philip and he took over. "Mamma, something really big has happened. No, not bad. Well we don't think so. We have a young man staying with us." Mamma looked anxious. "We almost feel as if he is our son." Wow that got her. Biggest eyes I have ever seen.

I took up the story. "As you know, Father Gregory wanted to talk to me in January. Interesting talk, a topic for another day. We reached an understanding and he said that he would ask me to help counsel young people who had problems with which he was out of his depth. I sort of semi agreed. Well, he phoned more than a month ago and we met Jeremy. I have been tutoring him and encouraging him to get his school work back on track. He has. Unfortunately, he is gay and his father found out and confronted him early this week. The father assaulted him, broke his nose. When Jennifer, his mother, tried to intervene, the father assaulted her. We had a panic call from Jeremy after our practice this week and we arrived to shield Jeremy from his father until the police arrived."

"You two are OK?"

"Yep, and your son faced the father down and had to subdue him at the Metro where Jeremy works yesterday. He subdued him with a police officer looking on. Jeremy is staying with us and he does feel like our son. We would like him to come and join the family on Sunday."

Mamma was almost in tears. "The poor boy."

"He is not a boy but a very outgoing, active young man, almost 18 years old. I would like his mother to come as well. She is staying with her sister in their rather small home and we want to include her as much as possible. She may or may not come. You may recognize her as she attends the church sometimes." I knew that Mamma would never say no to this request. She just wanted numbers for meals.

Looking directly at me, "You know since you have joined our family it has gone from quiet and predictable to .... I don't even know how to describe it." Her eyes narrowed. "Gio was over for a little talk this week. YOU... YOU ... kept me in the dark." She looked very stern.

"Mamma, he asked me to keep silent until he was ready. I offered to help him in any way he wanted. Mamma, he had to make his own decision and I am so glad that he finally came to you. I had to respect his request. What did he say? "

Her look softened. "Kevin is coming to church with us on Sunday and back for lunch and football." She stopped and looked at me. "I guess I would have to say that since you have joined us it has been interesting, exciting and fun. Come here both of you. I am so proud of you." She looked at Philip. "You have been doing the most incredible things. You subdued the father with the police looking on!" Looking at me. "You are helping Father Gregory out!" She just shook her head.

She gave us a big hug and kiss. I guess she really did like us.

We won our game. We arrived back at the house and a very handsome young man came out of the study with Jeremy. "Dads, I like you meet Kent."

"Welcome, Kent. Be prepared! Chaos is about to hit the house. Our football team is about to arrive."

"Oh the oldies that Jer was talking about."

I whispered something to Philip and he took Kent and I took Jeremy and we managed to get headlocks on each of them rubbing their heads with our free knuckles. We were laughing and joking when the first team members arrived. It was good chaos as they replayed all the highlight of the game, sometimes poking fun at each other over mistakes or 'poor plays' some of us made. Jeremy and Kent eventually fitted right in discussing tactics and football. We played some cards; Jeremy and Kent were very good card players. Everyone finally left by 10.

We said goodnight to Jeremy. I was as tight as drum when we finally closed our bedroom door. Exercise and football matches affect my libido. It is like lighting a fire: it flares up. Luckily Philip is exactly the same. I had noticed during the card games that he was moving his legs in and out, a sure sign and he gave me several sultry looks. He even grabbed my ass in the kitchen as we served out more food and drinks. I had just smiled at him and groped his crotch.

So when the door closed, we literally attacked each other. We had had showers after the game so he tasted pure Philip, my favourite taste. We both wanted the same thing so we flipped a coin for who would top first. I won; I was first top. I wanted to bottom last to feel my guy invading me and finishing in me so that it would be the last thing that I would feel on that wonderful day. Luckily, I stayed hard after I had an explosive finish in Philip and he managed to time it so that he came in me and I came my second time almost simultaneously. My last sight that night was Philip getting out of bed to open our door, just in case our guy had nightmares again. As he walked back to bed, he had that just finished look as his cock swung dangling between his legs, still enlarged and shining with lube and cum. It almost made me hard again.

Jeremy and Kent had had a good day yesterday. Jeremy had finished his paper and now only had to proofread it and print it. They had had a very good time with our football team. I suspected that they had fitted some other things in as well. Jeremy had no bad dreams that night. Progress. We would have to plan a celebration for his birthday that was coming up early May. Note to myself to talk to Jennifer about it.

It was obvious at breakfast that he was a bit apprehensive about the day. He badly wanted to make a good impression with the family. We tried to reassure him as much as we could. I even told him about Mamma's hugs and kisses. I just hoped that true to form, she would give him the hug and kiss.

We arrived and started to walk to the church. I could see him bracing himself and standing taller as we approached the family. Mamma, bless her, took one look at him and gave him the most beautiful welcoming smile, "Jeremy, what a handsome young man. It is a pleasure to meet you." Then she wrapped her arms around him and gave him a kiss on both cheeks. Hey that was more than I got. The look on his face was blissful. Pops shook his hand and gave him a big Italian, man hug.

Marcus, "Are you our cousin?"

Jeremy, with real pleasure in his eyes, "I guess I am in a way. Really glad to have you and Anna as cousins. Do you like computer games?" They were off talking and planning to play some games on the computer before lunch and after the game. He made it known that he would play with both cousins. His greeting to the rest of the family was just as easy and warm. I put my arm around over his shoulder as we walked up the stairs to the church telling him that he had done a really good job. Philip took over as we walked through the church doors.

After we entered the church, I walked over to Gio and Kevin. "Hey guys, good to see your ugly faces." I looked at Kevin, "You ready for this? Meeting the family."

He looked at Gio and with a really sincere smile simply nodded yes and touched Gio's hand for just a second. Nice. I hoped that it would be this way for quite a while. As I knew, it was a big step; one I never regretted.

I had talked to Jeremy about my beliefs, especially communion and encouraged him as a Catholic to take communion with the family. He did. It was wonderful. I saw Mamma take his hand and squeeze it as they walked back to their seats. At the exit of the church, Father Gregory's handshake and greeting was very warm. He welcomed Jeremy and told him that he knew that he was in good hands. When he came to me, "James thank you so much. You really have done more than I ever expected. Bless you my son." I swallowed hard telling him that we were so happy to help Jeremy and his mother.

His mother had not made it to the service. We had told her that if she couldn't make church, she could come for lunch and leave anytime she needed to. She met us outside the church with apologies. Her car was having problems and her sister had driven her later than she had hoped for. She had some discussions with her sister about the length of her stay and about Jeremy. It had been cordial but it was obvious that there was no room for Jeremy. I think that both Philip and I breathed a sigh of relief. We really wanted him with us.

Lunch was a typical Marchese after church get together and lunch, lots of food being readied, served and a cacophony of sound from conversations. We had brought some antipasto with us as there had been no time for food preparation this week. Oh and some ice cream to the delight of adults and young ones. Jeremy fitted right in. I could see the look of contentment on his face. He sat beside his mother and she, too, seemed to be delighted with the day. She had told us that she would like to come home with us and discuss some things. We both hoped it was OK news and requests.

Jeremy played games with his 'cousins' until Pops announced that game was about to start. There was the usual comments about the play and of course, I could not keep my mouth shut with a running commentary of the good and bad performance of Juventus.

At one point, I commented on a good play that set up a beautiful strike that only a brilliant save by the keeper kept out a score by our team.

Jeremy, "Dad, that was only the second play. Did you miss the great pass to your player?"

I looked at Jeremy. He had a self satisfied look on his face. There was something in his look and I would almost bet that he made that call up just to get me. I decided to test my thought. "Yeah, but did you see that cross in the play before the one you mentioned. Brilliant."

He looked as if he was thinking. "You made that up. There was no brilliant cross." He had just the trace of smile on his face.

"I did not." I tried to get as much indignation into my voice as possible.

"There was no cross in the last few minutes. You made it up."

By this time, we had everyone's attention. I could see Philip just suppressing a smile. "I didn't make it up any more than you made yours up."

I gave him by best narrowed eyes and silence.

Jeremy, "We could always play back on the PVR."

I decided to go all the way. "OK by me. Pops?" He had already put the game on hold.

Jeremy with a big smile. "Don't bother Pops."

I got up and went over to him and put him in a headlock. "You are becoming a monster."

"Look at how he treats me!" He looked so hurt and innocent.

"You little faker. Nice try though." I knuckled his head chuckling. Philip was all smiles. Our boy was bonding nicely with us.

Philip, "I'd say two peas in a pod. Like Dad, like son."

We both attacked Philip together with great protestations of denial telling him that we were not at all like each other. Everyone was laughing.

Pops, "Gentlemen, the game is on pause. Let's go!"

He too had a big smile. I grabbed Jeremy in a hug with my arms over his shoulders. Then I went over and gave Philip a gentle cuff up the side of his head. I muttered, "I'll get you later."

Quietly, Philip, "Promises, promises." He sighed. Then a big smile. "OK Pops, football it is."

While we were getting supper out, I could hear Jeremy with the cousins. There was laughing and talking about the games they were playing. They were still talking when they joined us at the table.

Jeremy looked around the table as we waited for grace. He quickly spoke up. "Could I say a grace too after you Pops?"

Pops, "Jeremy, you say it."

He seemed a little taken aback. He paused obviously thinking about it. "Thank for the wonderful food. Thank you Mamma and everyone who helped with the meal. Thank you for this great family that has taken my mother and me into their home and hearts. Bless us all. Amen."

I saw Mamma brush away a tear and I managed not to. Philip must have had something in his eye. Big Italian men don't cry over a grace. I saw Philip reach over and touch Jeremy's shoulder with the sweetest smile. I think his lips said thanks and well done. Now too, I had to brush something out of my eyes.

We left fairly soon after supper as Jennifer wanted to sit down and talk with us. It was clear when we left that Jeremy had made an impression on everyone. I noticed that Gio and Kevin had taken time to sit beside him and talk to him. He seemed to enjoy being with them.

Jeremy went off to his room for a minute.

"Jennifer, I hope that there is not a major problem. You look a little anxious."

"James and Philip, there is a problem for me. I cannot go back to that man. We have had a couple of sessions at the house and I felt that I had to get out. He is so bitter about his son being gay and his wife moving out. He almost refuses to accept that he attacked both of us. It is almost like selective amnesia. He practically denies that he did anything wrong."

"Are you safe? Are there legal ramifications?"

"I think that I am safe but the house is in my name and if we separate, I need to sell it. I think that he is going to put up roadblocks all over the place."

"You need a good lawyer. OK, I see the look on your face. My firm has a good rapport with our law firm. I am sure that they would do some pro bono work as a favour for me. If they do it, the charge would be for office work and court costs charged to my firm. You know before we go any further, we should call Jeremy in. He needs to be in the loop. He is a bright young man and very mature for his age. But you know that!"

We called him and brought him up to speed. He was very upset at his father but knew that his father would never accept him as a gay man.

"OK, I would appreciate it if you would look into a lawyer for me but there is another bigger immediate problem." She paused and took in a deep breath and closed her eyes. "My sister's house is small and a great distance from Jeremy's school. My sister married a man who is only slightly less prejudiced about gays than the man I married. He has made it clear that Jeremy would not be appreciated in his house. How can people be so stupid and uncaring?"

"Good question. Impossible to answer. Jennifer, there is no problem."

"Guys, I can't ask you to do more for us!"

I looked at Philip. He intervened. "Jennifer, stop. Don't beat yourself up. He has a home now and so do you when you want a break from sister and her husband." He put up his hand to stop her reply. "Sometime after Jamie started to tutor Jeremy and certainly after that night at your house, Jamie and I have developed a very strong attachment to Jeremy. I think that we both glow when he calls us Dad, even when the big monster says it in jest. I have started to have feelings that parents have towards their children. We have talked about it. We would and will miss him if ... and when he leaves. But we know that he will always be there for us and we for him. I think that we should think of this now as new, different kind of family. You are his mother and he worries and cares for you a lot. We are here in place of his father. You noticed today that Marcus and Anna called him cousin. He has an additional family to fall back on and so do you." I was impressed. My guy had given this a lot of thought and was eloquent expressing it.

"There is a question then of money."

I took over. "Not for us. Look, if you want to buy him some of his clothes, great. We have the extra bedroom; it costs nothing. We usually cook for ourselves. It is not more expensive to cook for three than two. He still has his job at the Metro so his spending money is taken care of. We are not exactly poor and we really want to get him started right."

I paused looking at her. "Let's call it a day. It is getting late and Jeremy can drive you home." She looked puzzled about the drive him home comment. "We have added him to our insurance so that he can use our cars and run errands for us. He knows our rules about our cars. Same rules as the house. Responsible use and no drugs or alcohol."

"By the way we have started talking about university. We already have him starting to look at various choices." She was about to say something. "No Jennifer let's keep that as that topic for later. You have the university plan for him and the money will be found. This young man is too bright to be denied the chance." I didn't tell her that I hoped that he might follow in my footsteps and Philipo's and study business and accounting. I also had a plan brewing in my head for his summer work and it didn't involve the Metro but that was for later.

I can't thank you enough from both Jeremy and me. I am tired. The worry really did have me down. Could you really get a lawyer who might be able to help me?" I nodded yes and said that it was worth the try. I didn't add that I would pay any costs out of my own money. This was important for mother and son, our son in this very unusual family.

We said goodnight and told Jeremy that we were turning in. We cleaned up the kitchen and turned off some lights.

Philip gave me a look as we left the kitchen. He smiled at me. "Let me see if I know you really well. If you cannot get your law firm to do pro bono work, you are going to personally pay for Jennifer's lawyer's fees giving her the expenses to pay and probably not all of those either."

"Am I that predictable?"

"I know how you work and how generous and caring you are. I hope you know that I want to pay half of it if we have to pay. We are a team!"

"We are a great team. Do you know how much I love you?"

I gave him a loving kiss as we walked together down the hall. I watched him undress. Most times that turns me on and it certainly did tonight. It is so hard to even figure out how much this man means to me. Physically he is so strong and beautiful. His face is so angled and attractive and I could see just a bit of a shadow from his beard. I just stared at that magnificent chest covered lightly in black hair. As he took his boxers off, his cock sprang up to its usual 45 degree angle. He was totally male. I knew immediately what had to happen tonight.

"Just looking at you has me so turned on. Philipo, I need you to take me, to make love to me slowly. I don't need any foreplay. Kiss me and make love to me."

I lay on the bed naked, exposing myself to him with my legs spread and slightly raised. He didn't quite obey me.

"I need to taste you. Just for a minute." He took the head of my cock and licked it and then sucked with increasing pressure. I was in overload very quickly. I could feel him putting lots of lube in me and on himself as he sucked me. Even that inflammed me more. Then he was pushing into me as I loved it, slowly without stopping. The kiss resumed as he moved inexorably into me.

I had my arms around him holding him tightly to me but not impeding him at first. It was possession, closeness, a bond. I guess that tonight, I was not only in a passionate frame of mind but in a reflective one as well. After a few minutes of his slow, passionate thrusts. I held my guy very tightly with one around his back and the other hand firmly on his ass stopping him from moving. We lay there and I could feel him in me pulsing slightly. It felt so good to be joined like that. I admit that I squeezed him with my ass. Got a few moans for that. "You are the man that I never knew that I would have; you were only an unfullfilled dream. You charmed me and fascinated me that first night at the club and it has never stopped."

I guess my lover was reflective as well. He raised himself slightly looking at me. "You looked so damn vulnerable, wistful and sexy that night. Little did I know the strength and passion that was the real you. You shocked me that day when you told me that it would make a big difference to you if I didn't tell my family that I was gay. In effect, you told me that you wanted me and wanted to proclaim it to the world. I never knew what it was like to be loved like that before."

I finally released my hold on him to let him continue on the mission that I had given him: to make love to me. He was powerful and yet gentle, my Philipo. The kisses never stopped. We finished after many times of edging. Neither of us had wanted it to end but eventually we both reached that point of no return. Our finish was truly climatic and unlike many times, we didn't drift off to sleep. We talked about the last months, our committment to each other and finally of our plans and love of Jeremy.

We heard the door open and Jeremy come in and go to bed. Like all good parents, we realized that he was safe and with us. A little, errant thought did flash through my brain, so was my car.

We held each other for another few minutes, kissed and drifted off still touching.
