I shut down the phone and got the car back in gear.

"Media blitz is waiting for me at the house. You going all the way with me or do you need to bail before we get there?"

"Is there anyway for me to get into the house without being seen?"

"Yeah there is."

I found a spot to pull over and called Karl again and let him know that agent Goulding needed to get into the house from his yard and to let Mrs Ohanlon know not to clobber him.

I made it a point to come around to Karls house from the wrong way so Goulding could be dropped off unseen and them made my way back down to the main street and approached my house normally.

Oh yes there was indeed a crowd waiting for me. Friends, well wishers, the media, as well as Chet Manning and the whole high school team. I eased through the people and had half a mind to pull right into the garage and close the door, but didn't. I grabbed all of my medals and arranged them as that was what everybody was here to see afterall.

I went back out front and made nice for everybody. I figured it was the only way that I'd ever get rid of them.

Eventually everybody was satisfied and every hand had been shaken, selfies taken and people headed off. I realized that Aaron and Roland hadn't been among the people about. Guess they knew it would be a circus and decided to wait.

Karl and the family had waited inside and they were all sitting around with agent Goulding having a cup of coffee or whatever and waiting on me.

I went straight to Karl and to hell with anybody else that was there for a minute. Soon enough Stan and Gert Connie and Bobbie were gotten to. Even Mrs Ohanlon gave me a hug tonight.

Things quickly devolved into a little bit of a party as Mrs Ohanlon had set out some finger foods for us all. It didn't take long for Aaron to show up after that and Roland was close behind, along with Pete and his mother.

Things carried on for about an hour or so and by that time Bobbie was starting to fall asleep. People headed out with Aaron being the last to leave.

"We jogging in the morning?"

"We'll more than likely be taking the day off. I've been over a week without my man."

"Understood Den, but the day after...."

"We'll be there."

I showed agent Goulding to one of the guest rooms with the admonishment that Mrs Ohanlon ran a "proper" house.

"I do believe I understand Mr Sawyer."

Karl and I adjourned the the Master bedroom.

We both stripped down and got into bed. Needless to say there was very little sleep gotten until the very wee hours of the morning.

When we finally did roll out of bed it was almost 9am. We definately showered before going out to the kitchen. Agent Goulding was sitting there talking to Mrs Ohanlon with a paper spread out in front of him.

"You and your high school friends got quite the covereage today."

I took the paper and quickly scanned the article.

"No way in hell I'll be going incognito at the office now."

"You should have thought of that before lover."

"Hey I knew that it couldn't last, I just hoped I could get through part of the summer before I was found out. I suppose I need to go by there and face the music sooner rather than later."

"Let's get the tuxes taken care of first lover."

"Yeah I suppose. Have your dad and Bobbie gotten out there yet?"

"Yeah they're all taken care of as are Pete and Aaron. Mom and Connie have their dresses all picked out but won't let me see them."

"That's fine. I just as soon be surprised anyway. So I guess we're off to the mall. Agent Goulding....damn it what's your first name?

"Ken Mr Sawyer."

I took a page from Stans book at this point.

"Mr Sawyer was my father, I'm Dennis."

"OK Dennis."

"Regardless there's also a Walmart out there. I know you didn't plan for a long stay,so if you need to stop."

"I'd appreciate that...Dennis."

So we had a little breakfast and then as much as I wanted to drive "baby" we all got into the Toyota and headed out to the mall.

Middle of the week and we didn't have the least problem finding a place to park. Karl and I went right to the mens shop and got measured and then spent a good 45 minutes deciding just which tux we were all going to end up wearing.

We finally decided on one with thinner lapels, with a pleated shirt, pale blue cumberbuns and gold and ivory studs and cufflinks.

Once out of the mens shop we made a quick trip over to Wally World for Ken.

I figured we were out so now was as good a time as any to roll on over to the office and face the music.

I walked through the front door and found Mrs Daniels right where I expected her to be.

"Welcome home Mr Sawyer."

"Mrs Daniels. Has Mr Bellows a couple of minutes?"

"Let me check. Mrs Hines.. does Mr Bellows have a free few minutes?................. Very good, Mr Sawyer is here and would like to speak to him.......... thank you. He'll be right out Mr Sawyer."

Stan came around the partiton in short order. He knew Karl from our first visit last year but agent Goulding drew a look.

"Well good to see that your first year is over and that you had such a good all state again. Why don't you come on back to the office."

We made our way through the "working floor" towards Stans office, Somebody must have recognized me from the paper this morning and started clapping. Before we got to Stans office it had spread pretty much across the whole floor. I just waved to them all.

"Well, doesn't look like you're going to be able to work incognito this summer Dennis."

"No it doesn't, so how do you think we best handle this?"

"Seems to me we don't have much leeway here. We either move you into the corner office and not let you do any actual trading, or we start putting you through the apprentice program."

"Do we still owe a position there to anybody?"

"All covered. We searched the files and only one other was made that promise and they were already in the program."

"Then as long as I'm not taking it away from anybody else I think that is the way to go,and then I'll be around for any meetings you think I should attend."

"Sounds like a plan to me Dennis. See you Monday?"

"Yeah I need a couple of days to decompress. By the way, until further notice this gentleman, Agent Goulding of the FBI, will be covering me so we need ID for him as well."

"This still the Teramedies thing?"

"Yeah. Don't know how long this is going to keep up."

"The gymnastics season is over, shouldn't this whole thing be as well?"

"That's the hope, but there's still the bank robbery, the deal dad put and end to and the one I put and end to and there hasn't been a stand down order yet so we carry on."

We got agent Goulding over to the security office and got him his ID. I still had mine from last year.

Soon enough we were back to the house and I had to start looking for a place to practice my gymnastics over the summer. I intended to hit the ground running in the fall. So the afternoon was taken up searching the net for someplace as local as possible. Turned out the nearest place was over an hour away. It looked like I was going to have to be satisfied with the workout room that I had here for every day and maybe head over there on the weekends.

Karl had gone and spent the afternoon with his family and was back over after supper to spend the night with me.

Bright an early we were up and out to go jogging with Aaron and Roland. Agent Gould right there with us.

We made it down to the park and did our laps and were headed home when Ken moved up beside me as there was a black and white approaching us.

"That's probably officer Pembrose. A trusted friend."

"Still no need to take chances Dennis."

It was indeed Dana.

"Congradulations on the all states Dennis."

"Thanks Offficer Pembrose. How's life been treating you?

"Not bad at all."

Dana gave Goulding a look that must have spoken volumes to the agent as he merely nodded to Dana.

"You take it easy and be careful Dennis."

"Count on it. Have a good day."

"You too."

With that Dana took off to continue his patrol.

"You trust him Dennis?"

"With my life Ken."

"That's my job."

We made it back to the house and Karl and I got showered up and then out to breakfast.

"So what shall we do today before I end up having to work for a living again?"

"Hey I'm all for hanging right here by the pool and just relaxing."

"I suppose we owe ourselves a couple of days."

"After all you've been through these last few months I'd sure as hell say so."

So other than our daily jogging Karl and I pretty much just kicked back for the next couple of days. I did take a hour or so each day just to do what working out that I could in the excercise room.

Friday night we hit Mannys just for the heck of it and thankfully nothing happened other than a lot of handshaking. Saturday we hit the state park and went for a trail ride, which left poor Ken sore as hell.

Sunday was again spent just kicking back and finally we were on to Monday. Our jogging had been taken care of breakfast had and with Karl looking a bit forlorn,Ken and I were off to work.

Stan met us at the front door and we went inside.

Normally there wouldn't be anybody there at this time of the morning. This morning though, those that had been directly decieved last summer were there. Bob, Alan, Angela and a few others.

"I just needed to apologize to you all for last summer. I didn't want to see things done any differently than normal just because I owned the place. I hope you all understand."

Pretty much everybody understood. The only one who looked a bit pissed was Alan.

He walked right up to me and looked me in the eye.
