I headed in for the 15 minute lecture and then my review.

"Still no changes Dennis?"

"No sir, I'm still happy with what I have."

"Very well then see you Thursday."

So it was over to the student union and then out to my bench with my lunch.

Nobody stopped to talk to me today, so when it was time I headed over to the rec center and got changed up and went to stretch out. The bleachers had been folded up at this point, which only drew looks from a couple of the guys.

Both coaches were soon on the floor.

"Ok guys, we're getting down to it now. Just this one more meet and then it's on to the all state again. Let's see your best work and everybody throw all of your triples today."

Needless to say everybody worked thier hearts out today. There were smiles on both of the coaches faces by the time they called things to a halt.

"Great work everybody. Now hit the showers."

As usual, I hit the swimming pool first, and then the whirlpool. By the time I got to the showers they were empty. My mind went to the last time I had been in the empty showers.

There hadn't been any incidents that I had heard of for several weeks now. I decided I was really being paranoid and just went and took my shower.

Soon enough I made my call to Karl and checked the car and headed back to the apartment.

"Good workout?"

"Yeah for everybody. Both coaches were smiling. I just hope everybody can hang on to it through the break."

"Speaking of which, did you get a chance to go through the stuff this morning?"

"I did and after we eat I think we should sit down and see what we can agree on and then try and get as much of it set up before we leave."

"That was the intention lover. Suppers up in 5."

Afterwards we sat down and started going throught the things there were to do in Vegas. We agreed on a lot of things and they were put on a seperate sheet to look at scheduling later.

"Karl, I do enjoy the show, but the 'Counting Cars tour'? We'd never get into the club anyway."

"Hey it was just a thought."

We continued at it for another hour or so and we finally had a list of the things we really wanted to do. Karl agreed with me to leave Saturday night open so we could just crash.

So I started scheduling things, and I left plenty of time for just relaxing. Still it was going to be a pretty busy week for us. Walking the Strip was supposed to be a thing all of its own. Where we had decided to hit the Adventuredome, and the Strat, and then downtown to the Fremont Street Expeirence for the evening, that was one day shot. The canyon tour was another day. We worked at it for agood long time, right up until it was time to crash.

I had tried to keep a couple of hours each afternoon for simply crashing out.

"I'll be greatly surprised if we get everything on the list done lover."

"All we can do is try Den. Those things we haven't already booked in advance will be the ones to go first."

"I'm all for calling it a night."

"Yeah."

So we went to bed, but I did feel like we got something accomplished today.

Hump day and we started all over again. Laps were done without any mishaps and we were back to the apartment and got ourselves ready for the day.

Classes were gotten through today with no problems, so I was home early. I checked what was out for supper and then started packing for Vegas. I had checked the predicted weather and found that even in April Vegas was going to be hot. I packed light clothing and sure as shooting included a bathing suit. If Icouldn't get to a gym I could certainly swim. The belly pack was pulled out and restocked with fresh batteries for the camera and another memory card and the packaged raincoat from last year. I didn't really want to ake my laptop with me so I printed out the schedule we had made and also made it a point to get all of the contact information for everything we had wanted to do all in one place.

I had just about finished all of this when Karl got home.

"Better get packed now lover. No telling what might get in our way between now and Friday night."

"I heard that. How soon till supper?"

"About 10 minutes, so you can at least start thinking about what you want to bring. I checked the weather and it is going to be hot."

"During the day, but at night I bet it will be a hell of a lot cooler."

"So hedge your bets."

It did make me thing and I went and threw a few heavier things into my bag, just in case.

We soon enough had supper and I checked my portfolio, even though I had my review the day before. I took the time to check the real one as well. A little bookwork and then I called it a night until we crashed.

Thursday morning and we were at it again. Our laps had been run andwhile were doing that Gordon and Aiden said they were headed to Gordans for the week. We already knew where Paul and Cam were headed. So we went home after the laps and I checked the fridge to see what we might have for supper both tonight and tomorrow. I didn't want to leave leftovers in the fridge for a week afterall.

Soon enough it was time for me to head into the practicum. The usual discussion and then with wishes for a good springbreak, I headed over to the student union for my lunch. Once I was out on my bench people did stop by.

Pete and Susan were going to be going their seperate ways for the week, Carlton and Devon were on their way to Acapulco. Even Dana stopped by today. He was just heading home to relax for the week.

I headed over to the rec center after a while. It wasn't likely that I was going to get a workout in while we were in Vegas, so I hit everything today once there was somebody there to spot me. Some of the other guys obviously had the same idea. Everybody who did showup today aseemed to be spot on. I was soon enough into the pool and then the whirlpool. Josh and Greg joined me shortly after.

"So you guys going anywhere for break?"

"Nope, just heading home to relax. Between the Olivette meet and finals and then the all state, lord alone knows when we'll get the chance again."

"Well just something for you guys to think about, but the week between finals and the all state, we'll still have to be on campus. Think of some things to keep yourselves busy as almost everything shuts down."

"Damn hadn't even thought about that Den. We restricted to campus 24/7?"

"Nope, as long as you're in your rooms by 10 you're covered, unless for some reason they change the rules. When we get to the all state it won't be much better. It isn't required, but almost everybody goes to watch the high school competitions as well. Leaves damn little time for other things."

"Yeah we went and watched the college levels last year, so at least we were aware of that."

"Well, you guys take it easy and be safe."

"You're going to Vegas, and you're telling us to be safe?"

"Shit happens even at home guys, later."

I went and got showered up and then out to the car and a quick check over and the phone call to Karl.

Shortly after I was home and saw that Karl had used most of the leftover to make some kind of cassarole.

"So that kind of looks like you're planning on supper out tomorrow night?"

"Yeah I know you don't want to leave anything in there for a week or more."

"True enough."

So we finished off the cassarole and loaded the dishwasher. We both did a quick review of what was in store for tomorrw as far as classes were concerned and then hit the ay early.

Friday dawned bright and we were at it once again. When we got to campus you could almost feel the excitement in the air. Everybody was jus waiting for the day to be over. We got our laps in and got back to the apartment and got ourselves ready for classes.

It seemed that even the instructors wanted to be done for the day and all of my classes got out early. So I was home and just did a quick check of my bag and got it down to the car.

Karl even got home earlier than usual today. We headed out to Rons tonight. The place was practically empty of other college people, at least as far as I could tell.

"You boys not going anywhere this year?"

"Yeah we are Gladys, just not heading out until tomorrow."

"Well wherever you're headed have a safe trip. There's no special tonight, so the usual?"

"Nope, I'm going with the cheesesteak no peppers extra cheese and a coke."

"Might just as well make it two."

We soon had our meals and then h eaded back to the apartement and crashed out early. Not that either one of us was likely to get much sleep tonight.

Apologies guys. I could have sworn I posted this last week before I hit the road.
