Paul saw us and made his way to where we were standing.

"So, had enough for one night Paul?"

"I....yeah I think so. Let's hit the road roomie."

"You guys take care."

By this time it was getting close to 11 and the crowd had started to thin out quite a bit. Some of the guys had already crashed for the night. I said my goodnights to everybody and went out to the car and slowly headed home.

Karl was waiting for me when I got there and we were soon enough in bed.

5:30 got there and we were up and out and traveled over to campus on this Saturday morning. I pulled into the Cochran Hall parking lot and we made our way around to the quad. I saw Cameron across the quad and he started around to us. We were right there and ready for him and we continued on.

"So where are these other two guys?"

"I expect they'll be showing up later today."

"I suppose it is useless for me to ask if they're gay or not?"

"It is."

"Well......Paul confided in my last night after we got back to the room."

"Stop. We don't need to know Cameron."

"Maybe not but I need to talk about it. We haven't gotten physical yet, but Paul has made no bones about wanting to. Truth to tell, I'm not sure which way I want to swing. I think Paul is kind of easy on the eyes, as were a good many of the guys at your frat, but I still find myself attracted to girls as well."

"Sounds like you might well be bi then Cam,which is fine as far as we're concerned, but you know that."

"Yeah I do. I'm just a little confused I guess."

"Well all I can advise is that you think before you act and even then take it slowly. You know we're always here to talk to if you need us."

"Yeah I know that Den; you always have been ever since that first day you guys showed up at the stables."

The rest of the jog was pretty much done in silence. Karl and I acknowledged a few poeple as we passed them and eventually we finished our jog. Karl and I headed back to the apartment, had our showers and breakfast. I don't know what Karl did, but I went back to my search on A. Wheeler.

I was in the process of whittling the prospects down a few hours later when my phone rang. The ID said it was Gordon.

"Hey dude, you make it back to campus yet?"

"Yeah we're all checked in and found our room in Cochran. Looks like Pete is right next door too. So we're heading out to go get our books. What's up for supper?"

"Hold on and let me check with Karl."

I muted my phone.

"It's Gordon he wants to know what's up for supper?"

"Hit the buffet?"

"Works for me. Ok Gordon, Karl says let's hit the buffet."

"Works for us. Meet you out there about 6?"

"Sounds good to me. You guys hauling Pete with you?"

"No I think he and Susan are going to hit Rons."

"We were out there just the other night. Hey FYI we'll be having another guy jogging with us in the morning."

"Oh?"

"Yeah a freshman from back home."

"And?"

"And you'll have to find out for yourselves, just like he is going to have to about you guys."

"Fair enough. See you tonight."

I got back to my search and finally had it whittled down to 5 likelys.

Of those 5, 2 had no ahtletics training and 2 were listed as living in other parts of the country, which left me with Alvin Wheeler.

Alvin Wheeler,39, single with several degrees in athletic training. I couldn't find any articles about him or any mention of any achievements in the field of gymnastics.

I showed Karl the results.

"For somebody his age not to have won any titles or have even an honorable mention, college or high school positions or something seems kinda off lover."

"Which gives us no apparent reason for him to have been hired here. Coach Warren at least had some credits to his name. I smell a rat."

"And just what do you intend to do about it Den?"

"That I haven't decided yet. I have to at least give the guy his chance."

"Yeah at which point the team may already be set and there would be damn little likelihood of changing it."

"I'm just going to have to take my chances there love."

It was late into the afternoon by this time.

"We'd better get ready to head for the buffet lover."

Karl jumped into the shower. This one wasn't large enough for us to shower together, unless we wanted to squish each other.

I just shaved while I waited my turn. We switched places and soon enough we were both cleaned up and ready to go. Karls car was parked behind mine so we took his for a change.

We got to the buffet and Gordon and Aiden were soon enough there. They were both looking good after spending the summer together, apparently working out.

"Hey guys looking good."

"You two ain't so bad yourselves for old married people."

"So, how did your summer go?"

"We spent most of it together working out. I have what Aiden calls definition now, which means you can see my muscle groups."

"Good for you. How is everybody at home?"

"My mom and dad are fine Den. They said to say hi."

"Mine are in the middle of a divorce."

"Damn sorry to hear that Aiden, but after that scene at the hospital and the aftermath, not entirely unexpected."

"I suppose not. Anyway another year of adventure awaits us."

"I hope not. I could well do with a quiet year."

"I'll second that Den."

We headed into the buffet and had our supper and were soon enough finished. Gordon and Aiden headed back for campus and Karl and I decided to walk the mall for a bit. We saw some familiar faces from last year and stopped and had a few words here and there.

It wasn't to late by the time we got back to the apartment. Even so we just kind of crashed out and went to bed fairly early.

5:30 and we were up and out and over to campus. Gordon and Aiden were right there waiting for us and Cam soon enough joined us. Introductions were made on the run and it was easy to see that they were all checking out each other.

Laps completed Karl and I headed back for the apartment and spent most of the day getting ahead in our reading for our classes.

When I heard a car pull into the driveway I looked out to see Paul and Cam getting out.

"We best be getting ready for supper and get down there Karl."

"Why do I feel like this is going to end up being a pain every weekend?"

"Hey we will probably need this little bit of stability if this year is anything like last year."

"Den, I don't think I could take another year like last year."

"Not sure I could either, but we'll just have to give it our best shot."

We got ourselves presentable and then made our way down and ended up helping to set the table. Cameron ended up telling Pauls parents about himself and before we knew it supper was over. We all helped clear the table and then Paul and Cameron were off back to campus and Karl and I were back upstairs.

It wasn't to late when we headed for bed.

5:30 and we were up and out and over to campus. Cameron came by and the 5 of us started our laps around the quad. There were a few other joggers out this morning, some from Ingram, some from Cochran and even some of the upper classmen.

We finished our laps and the guys went into their dorms and Karl and I headed back to the apartment. We grabbed our showers and a bit of breakfast and headed back to campus, each in our own cars.

I found the classroom for Investment Vehicles and took a seat. There were a few familar faces here this morning and we exchanged a few words before the instructor came in.

"Good morning. I am Mr Blevins and this is Investment Vehicles. If you are in the wrong place, now is the time to get."

A quick attendance was taken and Mr Blevins outlined just exactly what we would be doing this year. We were dismissed a bit early and I made my way towards where the law course was to be held.

Right at 11:15 a familiar face walked into the room. It was Mr McEmbers. Much the same format was done here and again we were out a bit early. I stopped to say hello.

"Well Dennis, I assume the wedding went off as planned? Sorry we couldn't make it."

"It did and we have an apartment together off campus this year."

"Well I imagine that will cut down on the stress a good bit this year."

"I certainly hope so."

"Well I need to get to another class. Think this class is going to be a problem for you?"

"I don't think so, but we shall see. Have a good day."

"You as well."

Now I had a couple of hours to kill. I went and got some lunch at the student union and then headed outside to find a quiet place to read for a while. No such luck. Aiden found me for a bit between classes as did Pete and Susan. By the time everybody had their say it was soon enough that I had to head for my Risk Rewards class.

Right at 3 the instructor entered the room.

"Good afternoon. I'm Mrs McCauley and this is Risk Rewards Analysis."

Once again there was a quick attendance taken and we were off and running. Mrs McCauley took every minute of the class and then I hurried on over to the Rec Center and got changed up for the tryouts.

Everybody from last year, with the obvious exception of those who had graduated, was there and ready to go. Some of the guys that I had gotten recognition from at the frat were here as well. I hoped that there were some amongst them that would make the team.

Right at 4:30 a bear of a guy came out from the coaches office, clipboard in hand. He looked us all over and his eyes settled on me.

"Sawyer, you might just as well head out now. I'm not having any faggots on this squad."
