Bobby splashed around for a little longer before he got out of the pool and went back over to his own house. I had stayed out there just in case, but Stan stayed as well. When Bobbie left, the workout room for some reason caught my eye. I was about to head over when Mrs Ohanlon called me in to dinner.

After dinner I went back to the workout room. I hadn't been in there at all and I wanted to see just what equipment there was there. I walked and and turned on the lights. There was a multi function weight machine and a stationary bike in one corner, but what caught my eye was the pommel horse, the parallel bars, and the beam. It was like walking into a room of old friends.

I moved over to the pommel horse and grabbed hold of the pommels and hauled myself up and did a few scissors and a few full circles and let myself down again. No dismount of any kind, just a stopping of movement. I knew I was going to pay for that little bit of excercise in the morning as I hadn't used those muscles in that way in the better part of a year now. A situation that I planned to remedy.

I went over to check out the weight machine and found it set at 110 lbs. I took a couple of test pulls and found the weight a bit more than I was ready to handle. If I were going to use this machine I figured I had better start out with a lot less weight and work my way up the way I had with my jogging.

I headed back into the house and found that Mrs Ohanlon had already left for the evening. A little televison and some reading. I checked the house was secure and I headed into my room to get ready for bed.

11 o'clock and the phone buzzed. Karl and I exchanged our nightly messages and I rolled over and went to sleep.

Friday morning and it was the usual run with Aaron and Roland. 4 miles was about all of the time I had in the morning if I wanted to get to work on time, and I figured that and the workout room after work and I would stay in pretty good shape.

It was more of the same at work and when quitting time finally rolled around I was ready to leave. It would be home again with the entire weekend ahead of me. For a change, seeing as it was quite warm,I changed into a bathing suit and hit the pool before supper. Mrs Ohanlon gave me 15 minute warning and I got out and dried off before going into my room and changing into some bumming around clothes.

I had my dinner and after Mrs Ohanlon had left for the weekend I made my way out to the workout room. I reset the weight machine to 50 lbs and worked my way around the machine and the different work outs offered by it. 10 reps for each station.

By the time I was finished I was drenched in sweat, but I felt really good. I rested for a few minutes and I moved over to the parallel bars. I did a few swings through the bars and went up into a full handstand and the let myself down into a shoulder roll up to another handstand and a side dismount. I didn't quite "stick" the landing, but then again it had been a while.

That was enough for one night and I headed in and took a shower and just pulled on a pair of sleep pants. A bit more of the books, the usual night texts and I was off to sleep.

Saturday morning and I was out to do my jogging with Aaron and Roland and then back to the house for a shower and breakfast. I was reading,in the office, when I noticed a shadow pass by the window. I didn't think uch of it,until the shadow passed again.

I remembered then what I had heard of what lengths "Honest Charlie Chambers" would go to in avoiding a public disgrace to his family. I hadn't put the baseball bat back into storage and knew right where it was.

I grabbed the bat and was out through the backdoor and quickly worked my way around the side of the house. The sun was at such an angle that the shadow of the person was elongated in my direction. I waited until the shadow was just at the corner of the building and I sprang out,bat held high.

"Damn Dennis what the hell?"

There was a guy about my own age pushing a lawn mower across the yard.

"Who are you?"

"Well that's a fine how do you do. Dad and I have been taking care of your yard for the past 3 years and you don't know me? Oh crap I forgot the accident. Of course you don't know me. I'm Enrico Santos, your landscaper. Just getting things cleaned up from the last couple of months."

I lowered the bat but didn't relax a whole lot.

"Normally we have gotten this done during the week but we got a bit behind. Probably why we haven't run into each other before this."

"Yeah that would explain it. And yes the accident,so forgive me,but are we friends?"

"We were. We were on the gymnastics team together for a couple of years."

"Were we.....close friends?"

"If you mean did we ever have sex together, the answer is no,and I could care less that you're gay."

That would make me relax quite a bit more.

"You didn't go off to college?"

"Nope never planned to. Dad has taught me more than I need to know about the landscaping business and in due course I'll take it over from him just as he did from his father."

"Sorry I came at you. Still not used to having people around that I don't know or not expecting."

"Yeah it must be damn scary not knowing. Next time I'll let you know I'm out here."

Movement in the driveway caught my eye.
