5:30 got there soon enough and we were up and out to meet the guys for jogging. It was down to the park and laps run and then back to the house for a quick shower and breakfast. Then it was off to the hotel to get everyone together.

"Well it certainly looks like a fine morning for riding. Do we need to stop for anything before we head to this state park?"

"Not that I'm aware of Daniel."

"Then let us be on our way."

We all piled into the limo and I gave the driver the location of the stables and he punched into his gps and we were off. What few points of interest there were I pointed out as we made our way out to the stables.

When we pulled in the limo got more than one look and Mr Harrison even stopped what he was doing for a moment. He did smile when he saw Karl and I get out of the limo.

"Dennis, Karl, what are you two doing home this time of the year?"

"Personal business Mr Harrison. 6 for the 2 hour ride."

I had my wallet out, but Daniel was just a bit faster this morning.

"You had yesterday, I've got today."

When the horses were brought out I was happy to see that everybody didn't just mount up, but took a few minutes to let the horses get used to them.

We formed up with the rest of the ride and were off along the trail. Through the woods to the open field and along past the lake and out an around another pasture and back into the woods at a different point and then we looped back to retrace our steps and finally back to the stables.

"Well you certainly weren't lying about the scenery Dennis."

"There's a park up by the college that is every bit as nice Jeanine."

"I should probably do things like this more often Dennis. I've a feeling I'm going to hurt in the morning."

"The hotel has a very good spa facility Daniel. Maybe a good long soak or steam would do you good this afternoon."

"That actually sounds like a good idea."

"Glad you came Douglas?"

"Actually yeah. That was different from having to pay such close attention when we regularly ride."

"Well will we be seeing you boys for spring break?"

"Undecided at this point Mr Harrison."

"Will you be seeing Cam tonight?"

"It is our intention to."

"Tell him that everything is going along fine with Daphne please. He was worried when he has home for Christmas."

"I'll tell him."

Daniel and family looked like they were waiting for an explanation.

"Cam is his son who happens to go to the same college as us. We'll see him tonight as our landlords son is his roomie. Our landlady insists that we 'have at least one decent meal a week' so Sunday dinner it is. So we should be seeing him tonight. Daphne was the first horse that Cameron raised on his own."

We were all getting back into the limo by now.

"There's this little roadside place Karl and I usually stop for lunch on the way back. It's nothing special, but the food is good."

"Actually that rather did work up an appetite."

"Yeah I could eat."

"Well then I guess it's decided."

I told the driver where to pull off and we made our way inside. It was a basic menu type of place and we all ended up with burgers fries and drinks. When they were served in plastic baskets both Douglas and Drake took a look at them as if to say "what the hell?"

"Judge it by the taste guys not the presentation."

The first cautious bites were taken, and then both boys really dug into their meals.

"Dennis, I think you've shown our boys something they may well have needed. I think we all will be doing more 'regular' things like this from now on."

We got back on the road and for the most part people just settled back for the ride. The exception was Drake. He looked like he had something on is mind.

"Something bothering you Drake?"

"Dennis, can I ask you a really personal question?"

"You can ask, but I don't promise an answer."

"Why are you gay?"

"Drake!"

"No, it's alright Daniel. It would have had to have been discussed at some point I'm sure. I was told not too long ago that it is a difference in the brain chemistry. It's not a decision to be made. It's just the way we are made at conception if the research I was told about is fact, and I have no reason to believe that it isn't."

"If you are, what are the chances that Doug or I might be?"

"That I don't have any idea of. Though I do remember either reading or being told that twin brothers, raised just the same side by side, and one is and the other isn't. As far as I know it's just the difference in brain chemistry. Can they test for it? Hell if I know. If you're worried that you might be, well, I knew when I was 14 so I'd think there would be some indication by this point in your life."

"Well I know I'm not gay. I have a girlfriend and you know it little brother."

"And I haven't found anybody that I can put up with. It seems the only girls I ever meet are only interested in what dads money can get them."

"Well don't give up yet Drake. It's probably just a matter of time before you find who is right for you. But if you ever need to talk, one way or the other, I'll listen as best I can."

We got back to the hotel and everybody headed inside and up to penthouse.

"I really hate to cut this short Daniel but we do need to get back to campus."

"I understand Dennis. It was good of you to even see us for this long. I heard that you don't have any definte plans for spring break. Why don't you come and visit us for the week?"

"We'll consider it Daniel. I'll be facing finals not long after the break and then the all state gymnastics competition, and not long after that the test for my brokers license. I just may decide to go into hiding that week."

"I think I understand Dennis. I get to feeling the same way before the annual stockholders meeting."

"Well we need to get ourselves moving. I told the pilot I wanted to leave by 3 pm."

I went over to the desk that was here in the suite.

"Here's my email and cell phone number. I want you guys to call or drop me an email once in a while. I've found you and I sure as hell don't want to loose you now."

I offered my hand to Douglas and this time he not only took it but pulled me into a hug.

"Not going to happen brother."

I got a hug from Drake as well. Daniel started out as a handshake, but ended in a hug, and it was a hug from Jeanine as well.

It was back to the house and a quick shower after riding. I made sure the house was locked up and then we were over to Karls. Goodbyes were said to Gert, Connie, and Bobbie and then we were out the door and on our way to the airport.

When we got there the jet was pulled right up to the building. It was a quick handshake for Stan, and Karl and I boarded and got belted in. It was only a few minutes before we started on out to take off.

The engines started to spool up for takeoff and then suddenly went back to idle.

"What the hell?"

"I'm sure they'll tell us lover."

The intercom clicked on

"Another flight has declared an in flight emergency and we've been ordered to hold position. Hopefully we should be on our way in short order. Please remain seated and belted in. We apologize for the inconveinence."

"Lord help whoever."

"Amen"

About 10 minutes later the intercom clicked again.

"We've been cleared for takeoff so please sit back and relax."

The engines spooled up once again and we started rolling. The rest of the flight was uneventful and we landed without a problem.

We deplaned and I checked over Karls car before we headed for the apartment. Our timing was just about perfect, as Cam and Paul pulled in right behind us. We didn't even bother going upstairs.

"So give us the scoop Dennis."

"First things first. We saw your dad over the weekend Cam and he asked us to tell you the Daphne is fine."

"That's a load off my mind."

I talked as we helped set the table.

"Daniel Trenton seems a nice enough guy and as far as I can tell he has no designs on anything of mine. I have two half brothers. Douglas, the older one, started off with a chip on his shoulder but I think we managed to get rid of that before we left. Drake seemed to take the whole thing in stride and seemed happy to have another brother. We've parted company as friends at least and they have all promised to keep in touch."

"At least that's how it seems right?"

"Well yeah I suppose it was all an act Paul, but I'm doubting it."

"I guess only time will tell Den."

Supper was soon finished and the table cleared and Karl and I were upstairs while Paul and Cam were off back to campus.

"Well Cam and Paul don't seemed convinced that Daniel is on the up and up."

"They weren't there lover."

"True enough. I'm feeling good about him and his family though Den."

"And I will to, right up until the shit hits the fan."

It had been a long weekend and Karl and I crashed early.
