We finished our breakfast and Karl moved us into dads office.

"About this time last year, there was a huge increase in drug sales at the school. Somebody tried to make it look like it was us doing the pushing. Dana came to us and asked us flatout. Well naturally we denied anything to do with it, Lucky for us he believed us. He recuited us to sort of go undercover to help him find out who really was pushing the drugs.

The long and the short of it was,we led him to who it was doing the pushing. Somewhere along the way we found out that he was bi. Now him using us as undercover agents was strictly outside the rules,so we had a bit of leverage. We both had wondered what it would be like with and a adult man and we kind of forced him into an evening with us.

Only the three of us know about it."

"You mean that we......"

"That's exactly what I mean."

"Ummm...did we enjoy it?"

"Let's just say that he doesn't have a cock, but a snake in his pants."

"Damn!"

"So we've kept the secret and as far as I know so has he."

We went and showered up with only a minimum of fooling around.

"Do we have anything on our agenda today?"

"Not that I'm aware of. So,what do you want to do?"

"Stupid as it sounds, let's cruise some of our old hangouts and see if anything clicks."

"We didn't do a lot of hanging out Den."

"No places we frequented?"

"Well, just the arcade. You were a hell of a gamer."

"News to me. Well hell let's get a pocket full of change and give it a shot."

"Hell don't suppose it could hurt, might actually be fun."

We headed towards the garage and I told Mrs O'hanlon not to expect us for lunch. We were on the road in just a few minutes. It took us about 15 minutes to get to the arcade, and a hell of a place it was.

Bowling, skee ball, every video game concievable a lazer tag gallery and even a virtual reality shooting gallery.

"I think I begin to understand why we spent so much time here."

"And this is only the inside. Out back they have 3 different go kart tracks and a trampoline park and a set of water slides, weather permitting."

We went and got a fistful of quarters and started looking around for where to start.

"Dennis!"

I turned to see a dark haired guy advancing on me with a big smile on his face.

"Damn man it's good to see you. When the hell did you get out of the hospital?"

I turned to Karl, who had a smile on is face.

"Jason,he doesn't know you from a hole in the ground."

"Damn that's right I did hear."

"Jason is one of your best buds Den. If it weren't for you he probably wouldn't have graduated."

"Damn straight I wouldn't. Chemistry was a bitch."

"Glad I was able to help. Karl?"

"He knows, isn't and doesn't really give a damn."

"Yeah being gay doesn't define who you are, it's only one facet of your life."

"Good to know that there are people who feel that way."

"A lot of the guys at school used to feel that way, well at least about you 2. There were a couple, that kind of pushed the envelope a bit. So what are you guys up to besides no good?"

"Thought we might be able to shake loose a few memories by kicking around here for a while."

"Anything I can do to help. I'm the general manager of the place now."

"Hey good for you! I wonder how many of your high scores have survived Den?"

"I had high scores?"

"Yeah on damn near half the games that were here. They did a major turn over in games a couple of months ago. I think the only ones with your high scores are the classics that only a few people will still play. That 'Star Wars' one for example. Nobody could thread that valley of guns for the vent pipe like you did Den."

"Well you guys have a blast and don't be strangers. I've got paper work to do."

Karl and I went around and played several machines and generally had a bit of fun. We managed to take out another team of 2 in the lazer tag arena. We went outside and took a shot at the gokarts. In a field of 10 I placed 3rd and Karl came in 7th.

By this time we had worked up a bit of an appetite and we hit the snack bar. Once we had stuffed our faces we went back into the arcade and hit up some skeeball and then headed to finish off the day with a couple of strings of bowling.

I saw a big guy push a little kid away from a game on our way to the alleys.

"Now that just ain't right."

I went over and helped the kid up.

"You ok?"

"Yeah,Dirk is always a jerk to me."

"I heard that piss ant."

"The problem with piss ants is when enough of them get together they can kill you."

"Well look who's back among the living, the faggot piss ant."

For this one I didn't need to consult Karl.. It was pretty obvious that Dirk was both a jackass and a homophobe.

"Well we've obviously run into each other before. How has that worked out in the past?"

"With you bleeding piss ant."

"Well I suppose this time won't be any different then, but I can't let the faggot comment go. Just you and me bonehead."

"Dennis are you nuts?"

"I need to find out for myself Karl."

"Dennis! Dirk! Take it outside now!"

"Sure Jason. No phone calls until after it is over."

"Hey Mister, not on my account please."

"What's your name kid?"

"Derek."

"Derek,at some point ya just gotta stand up to bullies. This is just as much for me as it is for you. Now you stay out of the way."

Dirk and his crew headed for a side door which lead to a vestibule with only one exit. Derek, despite my warning stayed right there with us but in the background.

"Never thought you would have the balls to go through this again faggot, but I need the exercise."

I jumped down off of the loading dock to face Dirk. I flexed my hand and I heard Karl behind me.

"oh shit,not again."

Dirk made his attack and before I knew what was going on I found myself on the ground. Not because Dirk had hit me,but because somebody had me in a bear hug with his legs wrapped around mine.

"Dirk get the hell out of here while the fuck you can.!"

Karl? Karl telling Dirk to get lost? Then I realized it was Karl who was holding me.

"Settle down Dennis settle down,it's over."

I took a couple of deep breaths.

"Ok Karl let me up."

When I stood the only thing I saw was the back of Dirks body heading away at a run with the rest of his crew.

"What in the name of hell did I do?"

"Something I've see you do only once before. You lost it big time. Your mind kinda disconnected from your body and pure rage took over. That poor bastard never knew what hit him."

"Jeez mister you ok?"

"Yeah Derek I'll be fine just as soon as some of this adrenaline burns of."

"I ain't never seen anything like that. Ummmm....what's a faggot?"

"How old are you Derek?"

"13"

"Have you discovered sex yet?"

"Heard about it never had it."

"Well, first thing, the term faggot is not a nice word as far as I'm concerned. I prefer homosexual or gay. Does that tell you anything?"

"Not really."

"Well then most people prefer to have sex with the opposite gender. People who are gay prefer to have sex with the same gender."

"You mean you and him?"

"That is precisely what I mean."

"Why?"

"That my young friend is a question that has been debated for centuries and probably will be for many more years to come. So far nobody has the definitive answer, at least as far as I know."

"Weird."

"Maybe, but don't let one aspect of a persons life be the deciding factor in your like or dislike of them. Take people for how they treat you and others, not just for who they love."

"Think that fucktard will ever get that message?"

"I doubt it like hell. Karl, I think we might have worn out our welcome for today. Let's get out of here."

Karl and I made our way back to my car and headed out. There seemed to be a lot of one way roads around here so I didn't know exactly where we were. We were pulled up to a light and across the street I saw a building with the words "Sawyer and Associates."

"Did you do this on purpose Karl?"

"Oh hell no."

"We're going in. Do they know me in here?"

"There must be some who do. Your dad brought you in every once in a while."

I found a parking space and we made our way to the front door and into the lobby. There was a receptionist waiting.

"How may I help you today?"

"I'd like to see Mr Bellows please, for just a few moments."

While she was giving me the once over a man in a suit stepped out from behind a wall, unnoticed by the woman.

"I'm sorry young man,but Mr Bellows can't see just every..."

"Chose that next word veeerrry carefully Mrs Daniels. That is our new owner you are speaking to."
